Thanks! Yeah, they're green stuff. none of the 40k bits would work (even a bolt pistol is about 2x larger than the weapons they are holding).

Go with the Dred! It would be veryyyy cool!! You could go for a 500pt little army with them, an HQ, two units (what would scouts be like! lol) and various cool units!

I'm pretty happy with the chibinids, but the marines still don't quite do it for me
I've got a mk2 and mk3 version of the marine shown here, but I'm still not sold.

P.S. I'll have the basic chibinids up on shapeways soon (already have a prototype in the mail). Anyone who is interested should then be able to download the stl file for free, and/or print them directly from shapeways for about 3-4 dollars each (at standard resolution).

1. selling them "at cost" (i.e., as cheap as resin+shipping, which is very cheap)

As you can see, the 3d print isn't perfectly flat, but the detail is sufficiently crisp that after a light primer the paintjob turns out relatively clean.

I printed this one out a little bit smaller than the expected final size, just to make sure that the level of detail would be sufficient.

What I would really love to see, is taking the host horrendously evil and disgusting thing in 40k, and try and make it chibicute.

Dark eldar monstrosity, perhaps? Or a Bloodthirster!

For the Space Marine earlier I pefer the one without the helmet. The helmet is too bulky and seems squarish to me. Maybe try to do a beaky head? that might work better I feel like.

The drawings are great, Tau would be perfect at this scale!
