Most of have at least one movie we prefer to watch when no one else is looking (and no I'm not talking about the works of Jenna Jameson or Tori Black),those films that make us cringe, but for one reason or another we love anyway.
That's what this thread is for, what film(s) are your guilty pleasures?..what movies do you enjoy even though deep inside you know they are absolute trash?
I'll start the ball rolling with one of my all time favorite craptastic films...
Broken Lizard movies, maybe? I think Beerfest is genuinely great, and Super Troopers pretty good, but I also enjoy their other stuff, which is pretty poor, overall.
Albatross wrote:I am VERY fond of Jim Carey films. I've seen pretty much everything he's done.
For some reason 'Me, Myself and Irene' kills me every time. and i always watch it when it's on.
for my guilty pleasure, 'Harley Davidson and The Marlboro man'. That or anything on Syfy that they made.
Great back ground noise while i'm working on other stuff.
My wife and I enjoy Deuce Bigalow 2: European Gigalo. In part because it's set in Amsterdam and has tons of shots around the streets and canals, and we spent part of our honeymoon in Amsterdam and really enjoyed it.

The op said movies you watch on your own and feel guilty about doing so, this movies does this to me, people don't understand why i find it awesome and hilarious...

I almost took you to task for this one until you qualified it. I still contend that they rank the other way around, but I guess I can give you that one. Club Dread was horrible. I just saw some really bad movie about them being campus cops called Puddle Cruiser.
Automatically Appended Next Post: The one movie that I think is the greatest piece of cinema ever, but cannot watch with family/friends is... Time Bandits.
I hope to get my kid hooked and then I won't have to watch alone.
I didn't see Puddle Cruiser yet, but check out The Slammin' Salmon! Yes, Club Dread sucked but I still kind of like it. SS is maybe a notch above Dread.
I sorrow that no one else near you loves Time Bandits.
Final destination 2. It's like Looney Tunes, but live action and bloody. The scene at the BBQ at the very end always makes me laugh out loud. Every time.

The valley of Gwangi
The Blind Dead
I could go on and on.
One old favorite that is actually pretty good is The Man who would be King starring Caine and Connery
Valley of Gwangi is an excellent example,I was watching it late one night when my Missus popped into the room (presumably to ask if I was ever coming to bed),she stared at the TV for a moment ...looked at me and shook her head mumbling "Cowboys and dinosaurs..really??"...before returning to our room.
I get the same sort of reaction anytime a Roger Corman or Bert I Gordan film finds it's way into the DVD player.
I recall, when I was the wee age of 9, going round my best friends house. We both owned Gerbils, and as a pasttime, we'd construct mazes out of VHS boxes for them to play in, hiding treats around it etc etc. Anyways, his dad, gave us a big box of videos for the maze without thinking, and so we began construction. Now nestled in amongst the war films, full metal jacket, Platoon, there were I think two (?) videos, I do believe they were titled 'Flesh Gordon.'
Now, being an unassuming child, I thought nothing of it. It is only now, looking back on it do I realize how close I was to something, very, very smutty.
How about 9 Death of the Ninja
We only had tow things to say about it
As the blond hero and the heroin use a log for cover
David :"Hey look its Ken and Barbie"
and
David: Ninjas were did they com from?
Me: They are just on the wrong Set.
a three bladed sword, of which 2 would shoot from the handle! the only thing cooler would be
if Picard gave the oreder to fire it, and Mal shot them dead defore the blades arrived!

Another great choice...The Sword and The Sorcerer is one of the best " Sheesh is this goofy...but man is it Great!!" films ever made.
Pink Flamingos is, relatively speaking, a cinematic classic.
I'll agree with that, Cinematic classic and Worst film ever don't have to be mutually exclusive.
The first time I saw this was on a first date with a girl that was taking a cult films class. I knew what was coming, but really wasn't prepared. WORST FIRST DATE FILM EVER!
We redeemed ourselves by watching Plan 9! If you can find a girl that can appreciate that movie, keep her!
I Love space hunter and metal storm! I also love
I don't know what it is about crappy Sci Fi, but I love it! It's funny, but I don't always think it was mean to be. Must be why I love Zombie movies too!
So awful that it can't possibly be any worse, but it (sort of) comes full circle by being so incredibly bad that I love it. It's basically impossible to watch with someone who doesn't have a sick sense of humor or who can't see anything funny about bad 80's film-making.
The original Starship Troopers (movie) is typically viewed as a pretty good satire, much like Robocop, so I'm not sure it deserves to be on this list. Starship Troopers 2 and 3 on the other hand...
Please do not use dakka attachments for non-wargaming related pictures.

You got the name wrong, its not Ultraviotel it Ultraviolent
Not sure if troll, or just stupid
Not a Troll, but someone who will watch this movie ove the Godfather any day of the Week. She kills more in one sceane that Topper Harley did in all of Hot Shots 2. I have seen better acting and more belivable stunts in a Muppet Movie. The most Belivable piece of technology was the one that her ride a bike on the sides of biuldings.
The only one to kill more on screen was the guy who pulled the lever on the original Death Star.
As a lad, I am unashamed to admit that I was rather choked up when Frankenstein got sucked into that portal at the end. Sorry if that spoils the 20 year old movie.

They are supposed to be remaking The Monster Squad...
Yeah, it turns out that Frankenstein was built by Anakin and that Dracula is actually Corey Feldman's father.

Man i absolutely love Water World!
My pick though would be Dune
edit (changed my choice from The Evil Dead 1)
So what's that make now? Three of us? They so have the right idea with the spam and cigarettes. When the end of the world happens, those will be worth the most.
It's the Street Fighter Movie before the Van Damme one, though they didn't get the names so we have such as 'Lung' (Dragon) = Ryu, Chun Mai, Broom Man and Toyota.

Found
lmao! thats true what did you think of doom trooper?
Oddly enough, because I felt bad about bashing the movie and hadnt seen it them, I borrowed it from a friend. It really wasnt a terrible movie, if I find it for cheap Id buy a copy. But its still a funny none the less.
Doomtrooper, - TBH I cant find anywhere on the net that I can watch without buying/paying/downloading. I much care for the downloading because its too easy to get viruses and the like
Burn After Reading causes me to chortle with each view, same with Yes Man. Watched it 4 times in the span of 3 days. Can never get enough of it \(^...^)/
My friends will be having a 'Silly Hat and/or Wig Party' for a 21st birthday here soon, I'll be doing my best to be dressed as Norman and it's quite possibly going to be the coolest party I've ever been to
