I am in the process of making a 1500pts Angel Guard Space Marine list. The Angel Guards are my own custom chapter and I got the idea from other forums to keep you all up to date on my battle reports by having you all take part. By this I mean each of you can take the role of a member of my army and after each battle I will tell you all what happened which heroes fought valiantly and which died bravely at the hands of the Vicious enemy.

yep most of the army is finished I just need to paint the Stern guard squad and buy and paint two more rhinos, the first of which I will buy this weekend, which will spur me on to paint them in order to get the final Rhino. Unfortunatly my college work is slowing down this process and it may take longer than it would normally.

so far I have all the models except the stern guard squad and two rhinos painted up, so I could take pictures of the squads without there transport and the heroes if you would like me to. I could then post them on here and just update the pictures when I get all the transports and sqauds sorted out.

I havn't arranged my first battle yet as I am still trying to recruit all the members and this gives me more time to buy the final two Rhinos and paint them up but, when I have done this I will go back to my gaming club which is held on tuesdays and challange someone there.

if i don't get other members then the existing members of each squad can name the battle brother that are vacant if they want, however I will still let new players rename the battle brother of the posistion they are taking.

I'm about half way through painting my rhino then only one more rhino before WAR! commenses, I'm already trying to sort out a battle and will hopefully post up the pictures before the battle happens.

Character Name: Myrus Moran
Role: Tactical Sergeant
Age: 217
Appearance: Lightly tanned, He measures in at 8'5'' and is only slightly more heavily built then most other marines. He has light brown hair, which is cut short but not completely shaved off like most other marines have.
Equipment: Myrus has kept some of his weapons from his time as a Scout Sergeant, his bolter has a silencer and scope, and he keeps a Scout combat blade on his hip at all times.
Background: Myrus was recruited from the planet of Asgard, well known for produceing the Asgardian Rangers, some of the finest light infantry in the Imperial Guard. He lived up to his planets reputation and excelled in the scout company and was soon elevated to a position in a devastator squad, however he was unsatisfied with his new role, and requested that he be sent back to the Scout Company as a Sergeant. His request was accepted and he rejoined the scout company for another century and a half. During his time in the Scout Company he trained many of the men he now serves with in the first company, including Captain Rak, although the Captain does not like to admit to this. He distinguished himself on many occasions and has been asked asked to advance to the first company many times, but he always refused, saying that he preferred the role of a Scout. He became master of all the weapons at his disposal, and even trained himself to fight unarmed effectively against a myriad of opponents, including fellow marines, although he never had to use said skills against his brothers. All was well, untill the events of Primak III. Upon the Angel Guards arrival on Primak III, Moran and his squad were sent on a mission to infiltrate the enemy lines to search for weak points for the main force to strike at. He was confident that they would succed, he had done this hundreds of times before, and had never failed, but this time. . . he did. He and his squad were ambushed by Eldar, only Moran managed to escape with his life. Among those killed was Moran's great great great grandson, Febian, who was a new recruit to the Angel Guard. Returning as a failure to his chapter, he refused to train another new member of the Angel Guard, so he finally accepted his position in the first company, just to get away from his terrible pain. He remains in the first company to this day, he has trained his squad to operate much like a Scout squad, and they are often used in a similar way when regular Scouts are unavailabe. Moran hardly speaks anymore, his pain has not receded since the day of his failure, he avoids the presence of Scouts, as well as the presence of those he had once trained. Upon his bolter he has placed the name, Febian, and every time he makes a kill, he scratches a line in to the caseing of his bolter. His goal is to one day scratch Fabian's name from his bolter, perhaps then his death can be avenged.

Awsome loving the backgrounds guys only a couple of weeks til our first battle. I will try to make alterations to your characters if you put them in your appearance/equipment section if I don't have the spare parts neccessary I will try to get some Keep up the good work and waiting upon more recruits.

I tried to keep mine realistic Well for a Space Marine, did I succeed? I think an ork skull comes with the scout box, although I could be mistaken.

No you get a Genestealer skull in the Scout box but I made an Ork skull bye complicatedly drilling an orks eyes out DIE! ORKS DIE! it's sort of worked.

You did a pretty good job of keeping it realistic. I on the other hand went a little over the top with my character, which is how I like it, just a little over the top.

as long as the convertions aren't too dificult then it's all good XD

Role: Rhino Pilot ( Viper )
Age: 300
Appearance: 8ft, Caucasian skin, Long, Black hair, a shoulder pad with a Viper on a Black field on left shoulder.
Background: Bryant was born on CT-21, a newly conquered world in the Segmentum Solar. When he was recruited, he excelled at driving vehicles. In the scout company, his driving skills stuck when he trained in the bike squadrons, and Land Speeder squadrons. When he was made a full marine, he wished to train as a rhino pilot, and was accepted. He is known for being a reckless, if not effective, driver, and has used his Rhino as a battering ram more than once.

Ok I've updated the roster at the top of the first page so that it solves confusion and means i don't have to type a new roster out every time someone new joins.

Sorry for my unattendance and general neglect of this page, I've been trying firrously to arrange time for the Battle Report however The enemy forces are still partly unpainted. It should be in the next couple of weeks that we meet on the field of battle and hopefully the Battle Report will be well worth the wait. When I make it I will probably post it in a thread for the battle reports and put up a link in this thread so that you can hold you progress. I will hopefully try to have more battles with my Angel Guard forces and therefore proper progression. Unfortunately my desperassion to have the first battle as a fully recorded battle report has led to the thread lossing members and in effect becoming a dead post pile.
I hope that when the Battle report emerges that it was worth the wait.
