Hey all
Welcome to the 2nd Conclave
The main difference is that this time you will be allowed to submit a Loyalist  or a Heretic marine  (for all you Chaos boys out there)
They will be seperated into 2 groups obviously
For those of you who dont know what this is, here is the idea
I would be looking to try and get as many marines of different chapters together.
This requires participation from the Dakka community. Whoever wants to take part would paint just one marine of a certain chapter of their choosing. This marine would then be posted to me. (You will not get it back)
Im based in London BTW
I will take a picture of each marine sent and post it on Dakka
Obviously there are only a certain number of progenitor chapters so first come first served on these ones. However the board is open to send though you own chapter marine with a background of your created chapter.
Once a certain time has passed there will be a group photo of all the submitted marines. The whole project will then be listed on Ebay or Dakka in a bid form and the money raised will all go to charity
Any ideas for this feel free to submit them
As far as the progenitor / already named chapters go, the first people to post to this blog regarding their choice will have the right to paint that chapter
Once all these spots are taken then everyone else will have to submit their own chapter to take part

I'll do both Thousand Sons, (similar models actually) one Pre-Heresy; one Post Heresy. On top of that can I move the already painted Salamander to this one as it's iconography and power armour make it too modern to be Heresy Era. The Salamander is a Sergeant standing on a Tyranid Gaunt, while holding the head of said gaunt in his Power Fist. The CSM is a Prophets of Destiny Chaos Lord, modded in an interesting way. I'll take some pics and post them to show their current status.

Hey, I'm Gathering Storm's brother and he previously mentioned he would paint a Prophets of Destiny marine for this Conclave. Well, he asked me to paint one instead and here it is.
So can you please change the name of the Prophets of Destiny's painter to Lord of Change. The marine will be sent along with the Pre-Heresy Word Bearer, Pre-Heresy Thousand Sons, Salamander and a corrupt 1kSon at some point in August.

Well, I've made progress on the Thousand Sons marine. The head is fully painted and I've basecoated the rest of the marine.
Also, my brother has become more reluctant to relinquish the converted Chaos Space Marine, but he has painted a replacement Prophet of Destiny marine.

I hope this isn't thread necro, since it's only been a couple days.
I (finally) finished my Emperor's Pointy Sticks Sgt. I have to say, I've put more effort into this one than I have with some of my own troops... But it was a learning experience and I had the chance to do some awesome stuff!
The Sarge in all his glory. The pointy-hand was a transplant after his original pointy hand broke (thank goodness I had an extra AoBR Sgt. laying around). It was a bit rough because the color scheme (especially for the backpack power supplies) seem to change frequently.
Chainsword is a red/purple striped pattern seen early in the comic. Base is simple sand and Woodland Scenics flock... and I had to include an unpainted beaky helmet for our favorite oft-headless Land Raider gunner.
My only real problem with it, personally, is that my clear coat made it REALLY shiny...
Thoughts? Opinions? ... And where the frell do I send this guy?

Alright, got a mini assembled. Wasn't sure if I'd have legs and a base for him, but thankfully both came in a bitz baggie I got on the cheap on Ebay.
Unpainted photo - I still have some cleanup to do and mould lines to get rid of :/
He'll be painted black, gold, grey and a little bit of gunmetal, on a desert base. Feel free to add me to the list with my homebrew chapter - the Order of the Talon.
Also, PM me the address to which I should send him to once I'm finished painting.

@Smurf, we definitely need to start an Article on these it would be easier to see the Marines. I'll start it and place a link in the thread. I use a sheet of A4, which you bend by in nice curve by weighting the bottom left and right corners then put something tall behind it. It forms a nice continuous graded white background, then put a light source above left and above right, then use a tripod to steady the camera with no Flash (Flash is awful) and set the camera up nicely then hit the 3 second delay and take my hands off and wait...bingo nice picture. Example below.
Simple but effective, all it takes is a Tripod, a piece of A4 and a desklamp.
Look at the bottom right to the piece of A4 and my tanks...This is how it looks once uploaded

@Smurfwedge- Yes, I agree an Extended deadline is probably necessary.
Here is the spare Salamander I was talking about. I just finished touching it up now; added some weathering and a freehand symbol and now he is ready for the conclave.

Thought I should report back
Well... I have the Thousand Sons Marine ready to paint.
And my brother can spare the daemon creature thing he previously posted, but I have actually lost my Salamander guy completely. It's really annoying as well, since he was completely finished.
Also, I'll be sending the Pre-Heresy Word Bearer along with them as well, as soon as the 1k Son is finished.

Unfortunately, I haven't had the time since before Christmas to make any progress on the other contribution to this conclave I PM'd you about (I'm trying to re-sit an AS-/A-level  ) – if the deadline is extended I might – might – be able to finish it, otherwise my contribution will be just those three aforementioned 'Marines and that other contribution will have to wait 'til the next conclave

Hi guys
It doesnt seem like this is going anywhere anymore so I think we just do the auction at the end of April
I odnt have the time at the moment to keep following up on this
