I already see myself as the Dark Apostle for my Word Bearers or the Archon I recently assembled as a test model for a possible Dark Eldar force. I just like the Idea of being a command figure who takes orders from no other, but still has a purpose.

Very nice, DE are some sinister folk.

I think I would be a surprise leader. I would gain the trust of my battle brothers and become the chapter master of the Sangue Aquila (blood eagles) My made up chapter after the previous chapter master is slain trying to destroy a hive tyrant.

I think people should be able to play whatever model/character they want as long as the person/people they are playing against deems it fair, Me as A chapter master...I have a giant pet eagle.

Maybe a Mek, with a burna, my KFF and some Kans to back me up. Kans can be piloted by Gretchins, so I'd just have to find a few loyal ones to make sure they follow my orders. I'd down the warboss and take over the clan in an instant! And if that doesn't work, I'd just tweak his robotic arm a bit so that it kills him in his sleep and THEN take over the clan xD

I would likely end up as some cultist or sorcerer to Tzeentch. Constantly plotting and vying for power. Endlessly thinking of plans and such. Rather see myself as one of those commanders who observe and command the battle from above and afar, reserving my might for the direst of times.

As the new Mek Warboss (read my previous posts in this thread) I'd hunt down the Grey Knights because I hate them so very much. Seriously, as much as people may say that they are Well Intended Extremists I think they're jerks. I'd also hunt Tyranids. Squigs are basically a small form of tyranid, so I'm guessing the big ones are as edible for the Orks as the little ones. Also their claws woud make great choppas. And their skulls would look great on my Trukks. Oh, and definitively Necrons. I want to test just how "unlootable" they are.

I'd be a ork warboss and start the largest waaaagh ever making my goal to be wipng out all space marines chapters and smashing and destroying all power armor and land raiders to rid the galaxy of that menace once and for all. then I'd probably go after the tau for a nice vacation and an easy kill, unite all the orks across the galaxy wipe out humanity and all other species except the tyranids and have a never ending happy fun time smashing bugs and chasing them to their galaxy hoping to find new things there to krump

So your cat is actually firing at Grey Knight holly armor

I would be no ordinary Grey Knight, I would never slay Sisters or brainwash Guardsman or Marines. But if I must, I would exterminate entire planet population to stop the spread of Chaos plague. Better for citizens of the Imperium to die by our hands than to be tortured by Chaos and die in agony of rotting corpses and mutated bodies. In the end - survival of whole race is all that matters, it is always better solution for hundreds to die so that millions would live.

What if someone ordered you? You would have to follow orders. That's what I don't like about Marines. If an ork doesn't like what the Warboss says, the whole matter can be settled with a quick deathmatch. Also, orks are divided in several clans. If you want, you can just leave one clan and join another one. If you do it right neither clans woud even notice. Hell, if you're big enough you can even start your own little army, if you have some boyz who think like you and a mek to build you guns.

One of two things, A guardsman, or one of my own marines (if i could survive the surgeries and such...), The Sons of Ragnarok.

Guard: I would volunteer for the guard, better then being cramped is some dank hive, plus, who knows might survive. I also have good oratory skills, and personally don't like following others, so maybe i could lead. Im not a bad shot, im small, thin, and fairly quick and agile, so could sneak around fairly easily!

Marines: Hey their world is clouded most of the time, lots of rain and snow. And i'm as pale as they come, lol.

Anyways...

@Guy who wanted to be an ork: Why not joining my clan as a Dread pilot? I mean, you'd had to eat through a straw for the rest of your life, but you could rip a terminator in two with one hand while crushing a librarian to pulp with the other one and using your two remaining hands to burn an assault unit to ashes!

Or you could always become as a wagon gunner. Reliable gretchins are hard to find these days. Or I could train you as a mek and put you in charge of a Lootta unit. Or blah, blah, blah...

Orks have a simiar technique. It comes with the bosspole. If your units want to retreat, you start beating them down untill they're more afraid of you than of the enemy. The leader of the Vulchas just kills one of his boyz if his unit wants to retreat.

I'd be an Imperial citizen on a calm, safe world which hasn't been attacked in millennia because it has nothing worth attacking over.

I'd be stuck at home being cared for by my parents since I'd have a mental defect without the ability to get it cured. So I'd spend most days passing the time by chatting with my fellow citizens, and occasionally playing strategy games with them.

If I ended up joining or being inducted into the Guard, I'd probably stick around as a lower-ranking guy, since I'd have no ambition for climbing the ranks. Might be given a special weapon or put in a heavy weapon crew eventually, assuming my marksmanship skills were good enough or improved enough, and also since I can learn how to use different things easily enough.

In that vein of thought, I'd probably be an Imperial Guardsmen with a special weapon or vox-caster, or part of a heavy weapon team. If I survived long enough, I'd probably end up in a Veteran Squad with one of those pieces of equipment.

Dunno one way or the other on the first. Probably depends on the defect.

On the second, I don't mean, "possibility," though, "means," may have been a better word to use than, "ability." Imperial medical tech is apparently pretty damned good, if you can afford it/are provided it. I probably wouldn't be able to afford it, nor would it likely be provided due to its high cost and lack of dire need due to a much cheaper treatment being available and functioning well enough with me. Here I'm using unaffordable high cost as a metaphor for lack of existence in terms of being given a cure.

These are the rules for my special character I made for my Orks. If I were to be transported into 40k, this is who I would become

Unta da Great Mekaniac
WS BS S T W I A Sv
5 2 5 5 3 4 4 3++

Wargear
Mekaniacs Tools
Kustom Force Field
Stikkbombs
Power Klaw

Speacial Rules
Indipendent Character
Furious Charge
Mob Rule
WAAAAGH!
Mekanical Monster

Mekanical Monster

Through the countless battles (and one fungus beer stupor) Unta has lost most of his green skinned body. But being such a powerful Boss and Mek, his boyz kept him alive and killin.

Untas Mekanikal body makes his save invunerable, and hes immune to ID. The down side, is it is Orky engineerin, so every turn (unless in a transport) roll a die for Unta, a 2-6 Unta funtions as normal. On a roll of a 1 Unta melts down and instantly attacks the closest unit to him, friend or foe. If no unit is close enough to charge, he attacks his own unit if attached to one. If alone, treat as if you rolled a 2-6

Mekaniacs Tools

Its argued throughout Orkdom that Unta is the best at fixin fings. He has fashioned one arm into a set of incredibly useful tools.

The Mekaniacs tools are meks tools, but repair a weapon destroyed/immobolised on a roll of a 3+ instead of a 4+

Do Space Wolves have normal human genitals? If so, being one would be nice

Oh, and here is the Arch Mek's stats:

WS4 BS2 S4 T5 W3 I4 A3 Ld9 Sv3+

Special Rules:

Independent Character, Furious Charge, Mob Rule, Killa Mek, Waaagh!

Killa Mek: the Archmek is capable of joining a unit of walkers. All walkers in his unit receive a +2 stenght bonus, both to themselves and to their weapons.

Wargear:

Mek’s Tools, Kustom Force Field, Cybork Body, Four Grot Assistants , Burna

Arch Mek Armor: A kustom set of armor designed by himself after becoming the Arch Mek. It’s made from special steel plates and a closed helmet shaped like (and often used as) a welding mask. It gives him a 3+ Armor Save and makes him immune to instant death.

Technically, the God Emperor is himself incarnate. You know, since he's still alive.

I guess. If so,I'd be The God Emperor Incarnate Incarnate. If I can't be that then I'd be Draigo.

Be Draigo. In order for you to be the Emperor Incarnate the Emperor must be dead.

Hmmmmmm...

I would be a Lone wolf... loaded with every and all goodies he can get his hands, roaming the Galaxy looking for something that can kill him...

...and in the mean time

sitting around with his 2 flea-bag Fenrisian Wolves drinking himself into insensability every night... Shagging any and everything in sight...

Of course, given the usual activities of a lone wolf, the only thing in sight you would be shagging are those flea-bag wolves of yours.

Techpriest by far. Probably no higher rank than an Enginseer. I like the idea of combat medic. I like tinkering with weapons and vehicles. I like the idea of augmentation. I don't like paperwork. I don't like taking orders to charge a heavily fortified location to let the Astartes have all the credit for having the highest kill count. Second choice for most of the same reasons would be commanding officer of an artillery regiment. Caiphas Cain had it right. The best way to wage war seems to be sitting back eating a hot grox bun and drinking tanna while periodically saying "Fire" in a genteel accent into my personal voxcaster.

No character depth means no life. Why else do you think that the Guardsmen are referred to by their weapon names? Nothing cool like Warp Spiders, Noise Marines, or Immortals. No, YOU are the heavy weapons guy. YOU are the sniper. YOU are the flamer. YOU are the... Oh, Conscript... You don't even get a weapon name...

I sort of like the idea of being the Company Commander of a Cadian Mechanized Company, and constantly hollering "INCOMING!!!" and "BRACE FOR IMPACT!!!" and "FIRE ALL GUNS, DAMMIT!!!" and similar exclamations. If I could, I'd carry a specially strengthened Rending sword(it takes more skill to try to go around Power Armour plates than through it with a Power Sword, which I would be proud of, but it would be nice if I could punch clear through the heart of an Aspiring Champion in a pinch). As well, my Bolt Pistol's rounds would be Rending, as they'd carry a slightly more explosive core.
