Bloodshed in Utopia
The year is 2743, and the earth has been unified into one global nation, the United Earth Federation. The world’s population have eliminated poverty and illness, crime is almost non-existent, and famine has been wiped from the world.
How has this been achieved? Through the induction of the global network known as the Complex, this online virtual world is the place where people can earn real world money in what are called “The Eternity Games” The virtual world is split up into 9 “Continents” virtual centres where people can compete for cash prizes and prestige.
The “Continents” Are thus:
Primarus: Here there are held Gladiatorial death contests, The people who fight in these tournaments do not actually die but instead they must start their career in the Eternity Games from scratch with a new avatar.
Secondus: This Continent is responsible for holding death races of all kinds, high speed dangerous and often lethal races where only the victor is remembered.
Trius: The games held in Trius are known as the Logic games, huge mazes and Puzzles that tax the mind to its limits, often bending the normal laws of physics to achieve the strangest traps and logic puzzles.
Quadrus: This is the Continent that holds the Championship arenas, Various specialised contests that allow people to reach the last tiers of The Eternity Games
Trialus: This is the place where new avatars may train themselves in non-lethal equivalents of the challenges in the real-time Continents, A single 5 yearlong training session may only occupy the space of a heartbeat in real-time. This allows the people with the inclination to spend huge amounts of time honing their skills.
Mortus: This Continent is a place where all of the dead avatars are remembered according to rank; the higher their Prestige ranking the more vaunted their remembrance Alcoves.
Septus: This is the First of the Elite Three these final three Continents are available only to those who have mastered all of the previous games Continents. This first Continent is dedicated to the lower end scale of the elites, it has every kind of arena available to the other Continents but of a significantly harder scale of competitors, hence the “Elite” status of the Continent.
Octanus: This Second tier of the Elite Trio is the same as Septus, except that its arenas are of an even more advanced difficulty to those of Septus.
Omega: This Final Tier is for One on one duels in the most advanced matches that the elite trio has to offer, nothing can compare to the raw thrill and monetary gains to be had in this final Continent

The Eternity Games are played by real people yes, but these people interact with the network with what are called, “Avatars”. These digital constructs are personalised by the owner and are often elaborate and many varied.
An Avatar has several base traits which are recorded by the Administrators of The Eternity Games (For the purposes of the RP that will be me and these traits will directly affect your characters and how they function)
Experience Tier [ET]
This is a quick way of discovering how powerful another Avatar is.
Prestige Tier [PT]
There are 5 set Prestige Tiers, Alpha (0 Prestige), Delta(500 Prestige), Hecta(1000Prestige), Landa(1500 Prestige) and Omega(3000 Prestige)

Resilience [R]
This is the total amount of virtual damage that an Avatar can sustain before it is “Deleted”. This trait is restored after each event (Note){Every point placed into [R] generates +10 total [R]
Strength [S]
The amount of power an Avatar inflicts on another Avatar when using Melee weapons, is removed from their total Resilience. This is affected by Armour
Armour [A]
This Trait is affected not only by the points in the Trait but also by the gear worn by the Avatar and will reduce the amount of Resilience Removed by another Avatar’s strength, For simplicity, this is known as “Damage”
Combat Skill [CS][_]
This Trait is a representation of how proficient you are with your chosen weapon . The level you have of [CS] of a chosen weapon is the direct increase your [S] Trait will have when using that weapon, (for example. The Avatar Furios has [S]15 but he is equipped with a Laser Repeater which is an Energy weapon with [S]10 and he has [CS][Energy Weapons]15 so his total strength using the Laser Repeater is 30 (15+15))
Experience [E]
This Trait is one that increases over time, an Avatar will gain Experience for Deleting other Avatars and completing Events, as the Avatar’s experience hits its limit it resets and the Avatar will gain an Experience Tier and will have the ability to increase its stats. The experience you earn from defeating an Avatar is their [ET]*(10+[PT])
Prestige [P]
This Trait is increased by Completing events and Deleting Avatars, as an Avatar’s Prestige increases its Prestige Tier Trait will also increase unlocking new Continents. The Prestige you earn for Deleting Avatar’s is their [PT]*[ET]


When an Avatar is created its owner is given 25 points to distribute across its traits, all traits start with 1 for most Traits with 3 for [R], [Alpha] for [PT] and 0 for [E] and [P] as base values and may be improved from there, an example of an Avatar’s sheet as it is created may look like this:

An Avatar has 4 “slots” where weapons can be attached, the arms (2) and shoulders (2)
It also has 4 Armour “Slots” the head, torso, arms and legs and each of these incorporated advantages to be used.
An Avatar does not begin with Armour and must use skill to advance.

The physical Attributes of an Avatar can be modified over the course of its career but all start in the basic image of their owner.
Some modifications are listed below and can be bought and equipped to the Avatar for a variety of bonuses:

This is the percentage chance that each shot will hit and deal damage
At any given time you may go to the Avatar store in real-time (not inside the network, IE real life) to buy weapons and armour for your Avatar


Vehicles
The death races of The Eternity games utilise a variety of Vehicles for some of the events, these include
[LAV] (Light assault Vehicles)
[HAAV] (Heavy Armour Assault Vehicle)
[SFV] (Speed Freak Vehicle, usually a bike)
And [WAV] (Walking Assault Vehicle)
Each Avatar has at least one of each of these Vehicles but often many more as they struggle to dominate their opponents. Because of the rarity of Death-Vehicles and their value even if an Avatar dies in a Death-race he simply is ejected from the Event and may continue to compete in the Eternity Games. Because of this lack of lethality the Prestige earned in these races is half normal, except in Continent Quadrus and the elite Tier as these races are fully Lethal and as such one should be fully confident of Victory before entering in one of these events.
A vehicle has its own [R] value and its own weapon mounts [WM} including a [S] value, of which are unique to each Vehicle. The Engine Speed in kilometres per hour [ES][KPH] of a Vehicle can be improved as well as the Armour Value [AV], Armour Value works identically to the way [A] works for on foot Avatars and the Avatar’s [CS] also affects the Damage dealt by the weapon systems of his or her Vehicle. However the [S] of the Avatar in control of the Vehicle does not affect the Damage of Melee weapon systems but rather the [S] of the Vehicle itself.

ok,edited. and what is the [A] after [ballistic] mean? also instead of shoulder wpns can we just have secondary wpns? cause other wise you could only have 2 melee weapons ever.

the A is for Arm, as in arm mounts. and the reason that happens is because of the modifiers, you can get the extra arms, this gives you a maz of 6 arm mounts eventually

Hmmm i guess we could start you off with a few tutorials, to get you used to things

anyhoo, pretty much what happens is you RP as normal and i will encorporate the Traits into the game. So if you say "I fire a burst from my Machinegun and then charge in with my Gunsabre, your going to fire [3] times with your Machine gun and probly hit with 2 of those which will deal 11 damage each, -6 (lets say) armour, so thats 22-6, 16 total damage, then he fires back we will say with the same weapon, so thats 2 hits at 9 damage each so thats 18 total, -3 for your armour so you take 15 damage, then you get in close and swing with your Gunsabre which will deal (I would reccommend adding the points you put into [CS][Melee Primitive] and putting it into your [CS][Melee advanced] for a total of 11, so thats 7 swings, of which 6 will hit for a total of (11+5+5)*6=114 which is enough to "Delete" the training Avatar

of course all you will see is an appropriate role play post, i do all of that offscreen and keep a record of it

i was planning to get a big knife/short sword in the future and dual weild it with my gun blade.

yeah hmmm.. the issue is that in the GM's fluff ive got written down here, it sais that the Avatar's may not change their weapon loadouts during an event....

What you need to remember tho is that the extra attacks included in the weapon profile account for you using your other weapon to fire at close range, personally i think that more than compensates for a lack of two cc weapons

This isn't official - I have a few questions before making it so.

How does strength affect Melee attacks? Would you add your strength to the strength of the weapon and your proficiency level?

strength of weapon accounting for special abilities of the weapon, Ie guns built into the weapon, so for you thats [5] then the strength of the user (obvious) for you [10] and then the proficiency of the user accounts for damage dealt through skill, for you [10]

so for you each hit does a total of 5+10+10=25 damage

but thats only for melee, ranged damge is accounted for by the strength of the weapon and weapon proficiency

(IC) Terrance walks through the entrance lobby to the Avatar connection center. It was the closest one to home and it was his first time, even after everything he had been through the doors. He looks around, there anrt many people here today, Good, it would mean he got a good instructor.

He goes to the reception desk and mentions his reservation and is lead through to the initiate room.

He sits in the chair and places the smooth round domelink over his head, a second later he is in a strange place which from the Holovids he knows is The Network.

He looks around and realises that he is in some form of liquid, amazing, it feels so real he pushes slightly and suddenly the bubble he was suspended in breaks and he hits the ground. He stands up and realises he needs clothes, he thinks of what he wants and is instantly clothed in hs usual outfit.

He looks around, the room was large and fairly empty, the weapons he asked for were leaning up against a rack. He picks them up and flicks on their muzzle suppressors. The weapons were now armed.

His hands move along the slick weapons, the weapons were sleek and they fit him perfectly, a combination of science and power in one place, it was intoxicating.

The door opened behind him and he heard the instructor walk through. "Time for your training Terrence... or Should i say Tyranic?"

Tyranic nods, "Lets do this, I take it we are in Triaus?"

"Yes, now follow me, the other trainee's are waiting."

Tyranic follows him through a couple of corridors to a room that seems to be as big as a continent itself, it was huge.

Two other Avatars stood waiting, one a yound japanese man wearing a white robe, the other a grumpy looking teenager.

"You three will train together, soon we will send half a dozen deathbots into this room... somewhere, it will take on a random terrain appearance, it will feel real, exactly as if it was real. If you are shot, it will hurt, it will be fatal, you will respawn in the clone pod you awoke in, if you are deleted, return here and continue the hunt, when all 6 of the bots are destroyed, i will speak to you again."

The terrain shifts to what seems to be a rainforest, the air warms considerably and mosquitoes begin to swarm around.

All three trainees immediatly begin to sweat.

Tyranic looks around, "Its all so real... my name... my Avatar is named Tyranic. We should get moving"

He draws his Machine guns from his back holsters, they are just large enough to fit into his hands perfectly, the weapons seem to be perfectly balanced for the use of one hand, they are more like SMG's than anything else, But Tyranic knows that they are still quite as lethal as the old two handed weapons of earths past. And in some ways, much much much more deadly.

The feeling that ran through him when he held the weapons was almost sensual, his whole nature revolved around weapons like this. His mind began to run a system check of the weapons, running through all of their simulated mechanics to ensure thier consturction. One of the other trainees, the teenager notices him checking the weapon. "Its made out of pixels... its going to be made right"

Tyranic turns to him. "Past experience cannot account for the future, no matter how many times you do something, it may still change."

jason-err klimino looks around. a jungle. not the best for any type of fighting unless you knew the area. klimino looks over at his teammates,a samurai? and a military person? checking his weapons to.

"now lets see if they come.if they dont,then this will be to easy." klimino then crouches down,hidden by bushes.

Almost immediatly a volley of bullets rip through the undergrowth where Klimino's head was. The shooter then fires a burst at Tyranic, only to find that he had dived into cover. A neat roll at the end letting him stand quickly and back up to a broad tree

(Waaiit, so there is no point in putting points into CC weapon proficiencies, because every point into strength is effectively one point in each melee proficiency... right?)

Its the difference between being able to pick up any melee weapon and use it efficiently and being able to pick up a specific grade and use it proficiently, i admit that it needs to have anouther perk but im not sure what it could be yet

Proficiency should increase the chance you will hit, as well as increasing damage. Sound good?

hows about every point increased you get +1% chance of doing double damage?

Saito looked around feeling light-headed and dazed, but the blinding light subsided and he felt fine... more than fine, actually, he felt great. He held his weight with ease, and felt better than he had for as long as he could remember. He looked down at his body, and laughed at his young-muscled form. As soon as he thought of his own nakedness, he was clothed in a white robe.

He could vaguely remember his granddaughter helping him walk around the avatar connection center, he had just put on his hat... and then the liquid and light...and then he was here... but his name was no longer Saito Akiaki, he would now be known as Myoji, Myoji Zokumyô Akitoki.

He saw a rack of weapons to his right and he then remembered his job, he was here to fight. He looked at all the weapons, and chose something familiar to his hands - two kamas... kind of boring looking - as soon as he thought this red runes and designs covered the weapons.

(then after hearing announcement and seeing other trainees)

He looked to his allies - "My name is Myoji..." but was defeaned by the volley of bullets.

Myoji dove behind a tree and then started running to the source of the fire, staying behind trees and weaving side to side to get closer.

The bullets weave through the trees around you, pinning branches and trunks, you see a strange shaped humanoid, two arms and two legs, seeminly made from the jungle itself, the only reason you can see it is its shoulders are spitting machinegun bullets.

Tyranic hears the mans name even through the gunfire and draws his MG's, he ducks behind a tree and then sprints out, he feels the whip of bullets rushing past him but he manages to get into cover again without any major harm. Only a slight wound on his thigh from a well aimed bullet. he too sees the humanoid, This must be the droid he spots Myoji on the other side of the area and nods to him looking through the tree at where the droid would be, and then directly at Myoji, and raises a finger to his chest and then between the two of them, "Both of us go at the same time" and then he points a cirscle in the air in front of him, "Circle around behind it"

... as much as I commend you on doing this history and planning and stuff, there are seriously too many RP's around at the moment, and the regukars such as myself won't be able to join seeing as we are busy with other ones, so please guys don't create any more...

I step out into this... jungle, so real... even the humidity. Gun shots to the right, must be where the others are and the bots.
Staying low moving through the brush and between the trees I come upon the group, seems theres only one bot showing itself. One holding two machine guns looks to be providing cover for another moving in close for a cc strike. wheres the third and the rest of the bots?

You get your answer as a slow clicking sound begins to speed up into a whir about thirty metres behind you and to the right. A moment later a hail of shots smash through the brush

I drop to the ground and roll behind another tree, coming up around the side of ti and firing at the muzzle flash of the target.

Myoji goes on his hands and feet, ducking under the stream of bullets. He puts his kamas on his back and starts crawling with deft agility. He moves in a semi circle to the source of the bullets, trying to stay behind trees and bushes as much as he can.

Bullets fired from Benjamins machinegun ripple over the surface of one of the droids damaging it slightly, however the stream of bullets are unhindered for several minutes. The droids work in unison pushing the two contestants together. Niether of them are sure what will happen if they get hit but the reality of the place puts them in a state of mind where niether are willing to find out. Soon the two end up back to back and Myoji notices the toned muscles of the man behind him and smiles, a soldier. Benjamin gets a similar impression from the blades sheathed across the mans back.

Tyranic drops into a roll going behind a tree and pokes his head up firing at the droid that Benjamin started, gunning off one of the chainguns attatched to the droid. He salutes the two men before makeing a few deft hand movements sugesting a circling movement with Myoji going from tree to tree down the middle as Benjamin and Tyranic cover him.

I nod and switch the machine gun from burst to auto and takes cover next to a mossy rock, and starts laying suppressive fire

Myoji nods to soldier giving him directions, and as soon as the pair open fire he starts running... Curse these white robes... he thought as another stream of bullets narrowly missed him and shredded a bush next to him...

He continued to weave his way tree to tree. When he is sure that the source of the bullets is but meters away, he pulls out his kamas, and jumps out of cover, and runs forward, his weapons swinging elegantly in loops around him.

Tyranic fires short controlled bursts into the bush searching for the muzzle flash, the pair of gunmen score several hits but Myoji deals the killer, his Kamas looping Through the carapace of a insectile looking droid that promptly collapsed to the ferny ground. Moments later the second droid was ripped asunder. Tyranic raises a fist and unclenches and clenches it several times, the universal hand signal for "The the feth over here"

Raven enters through the edge of the area his boots sinking into the mud of the jungle. Distaste written all over his face he quickly picks up on the sounds of concentrated gunfire rippling through the area

Raven treads carefully though the jungle, trying to make his way towards the gunfire, making sure he is not seen by anyone.

When he thinks he is really close, he heads up to the treetops with ease. So he can have a supreme view.

He quickly finds the trees difficult to climb, unlike any rainforest on earth these trees seem to activly resist climbers, making their boughs slippery and seemingly stable branches snap audibly. Thankfully there is so much noise that noone notices the sounds. However you find that you can only climb about halfway up the tree. lookking through the dense unergrowth you see two men giving cover fire for a third white robed man. With a younger individual taking cover furthur back behind a tree. It takes you a second to figure out what theyre firing at but the shape of a pair of Insectile droids swim into view as your eyes adjust to the lighting at that height

Raven goes to fire at the men with his silenced intervention, but realizes that hose Insect droids could become a problem if not taken out. Anyway, allies would always come in handy.

He takes aim at the droid closest to the men, and makes a clean headshot, seeing the droid suddenly stop, and fail to run.

Raven makes a grin under the skull mask, and moves accordingly to take out the others.

A single shot, high and to the rear. A thud in brush to my right. "Sniper in the trees I think, just dropped one over here. Makes three to go."

TYranic nods and casts his eyes over the treeline, his practised vision noting a line of dismembered branches from where the shot had origionated. but the brush was to heavy to spot the shooter properly. He tensed internally wondering what it would feel like to have a bullet go through him. He sighs to himself at the imagined pain. But nods ahead to the next downed of the jungle trees, he skids over to it and pokes his head up but immediatly brings it down as a sharp crack and then a slightly deeper thump rip out and a area of ground infront of him explodes into a shower of dirt and twigs.

He turns to the others now getting deeper into cover
"Theyve got RPG'S!!"

The men down there were getting spooked. Raven couldn't shoot near them. It could show that he was hostile towards them. He couldn't let that happen. He didn't need any more enemies.

Suddenly a massive explosion blew right next to the men. He could not let the enemies take another shot at them, or they could be dead in minutes.

He looked around calmly and coolly. He spotted a droid with an explosive rocket strapped onto his back, and knew it was the assailant.

Raven looked down the scopes, and took aim at the little rocket strapped onto it. The bullet would puncture it, and hopefully set it aflame.

Raven savored the explosion when the droid blew up.

Tyranic heard the explosion and thought a momentary Curse. The snipers getting all the fun.

He leaps over the log ducking deftly under a vine and rising into a standing crouch. His gun hits his shoulder and shots hammer home into the nearest droid. It writhes slightly sparking and then collapsing. Marta hears anouther crack form the distinctive launchers and ducks behind a tree. But even that cover isnt enough to stop the full force of the blast and he catches the shockwave sprawling him on the Dirt. He raises his rifle and shoots a branch which falls in the way of himself and the droid allowing him to shrug into cover.

"Ohhh great, don't try and be the hero," Raven mumbled at the sight of the man running out of cover. It made Ravens job a whole lot easier that he took out one of the droids, but -

"Oh gak."

The little show the man had put on had made one of the droids look around and see the slight movement of Ravens head, and he had a few seconds before the launcher would be firing on him.

Raven jumped out of the tree, and slammed into one opposite him just as the previous tree erupted into flames. He scrambled to get a hold, but he couldn't and fell to the ground with a thud.

"Just great..."

Raven struggled to get to his feet, and picked up his sniper which had fallen to the ground. He switched it for his shotgun, and ran head first into battle.

Marta hear a buzzing sound high above and looked up. Seeing a couple of flying droids with gatling cannons he swore loudly.
"The old coot tricked us!!"


Tyranic saw the man sprinting forwards and flicked out an arm grabbed him and wrenched him in as the drones spattered the ground with a hail of bullets.
"We need to get into cover now!!, I dont know who you are or if ill ever seen you again but hear this. Ive never lost someone cause of their own recklessness, these things are more than capable of killing any of us, I nearly had that experience a moment ago, Im sure you saw it"
He pushes the man ahead of him.
"Run man Run"

When Raven was grabbed by the man, he felt like backhanding him, but that would not help the current situation. He allowed himself to be pushed forward but he let the man run a bit ahead of him, while Raven blasted the droids with his shotgun, who got too close to him.

He looked around, and saw an a little dip in the ground.

"Everybody! Over there!"

Thankfully the rock was more stable than the other cover in the area, rolling around it to keep it between the bots and myself, i see the RPGs flying around and the successful counter made by the sniper... that guy must have been doing this a while to get a rifle instead of a machine gun, oh well something to look forward to. By my count there are two left and theyre buzzing over head. They havent seen me yet but that shoudnt take to long from that angle, whats their propulsion? A few good shots in the thrusters would make em drop just got to find them first. Time to move before they find me, the sniper is pointing out what looks like a small gulley from here, could be good, move there in a wide arc since the drones are following the two makin a bee-line for it.

The three men dive into the over hang as several shots smash through the undergrowth. Tyranic grabs the sniper by the lapels and slams him up against the wall of the over hang. His adrenaline running high.
"Who the hell are you?!!"
The man punches Marta in the gut but he jusrt grins and punches on back, the sniper doubles over Marta straitens him back out again.
"You want to give me pain? Then take some boy. But you diddnt answer my question, Who the Hell are you?"

Raven took a deep breath. He wasn't expecting this, especially from a man whose life he had practically slaved.

He grabbed the man by the neck,pulled out his arm, and pushed out under his legs. This was one of his favorite holds, and it was damn near impossible to get out of if you didn't know about it.

"That's not really how you should react to someone who saved your life. Next time I might not bother. And here I was thinking I had come by an okay person. Now, I am not ever going to tell you who I am or what I do. But if you tread carefully, I may just help you with some of your problems. Do I make myself clear?"

I turn my gun on the both the men, shut up both of you. you can work out your problems later first lets kill the bots then you can kill each other, but if you dont knock it off ill kill both of you now.

Raven smirks under the mask.

"Fine. I was just telling your friend here that it is not a good idea to react that way towards your savior."

I draw my shotgun.

"Now where were we?"

Tyranic grunts. His fingers looping around his smg's,
"You were telling us who the hell you are? Usually I wouldnt be so persistant but for all I know you could be a construct of this place sent to kill us, especially seeing as youve turned up with advanced equipment."

The weapons in his hands look menacing, as the left side of his body is peppered in shrapnel and hes ignoring it ontop of the perfectly steady hold of his guns. He steps forwards and blood pumps out of his thigh almost freely but begins to clot but the pain just makes him smile. The smile is eerie. Like he can see exactly what your thinking but doesnt want to say.

He casually plucks a piece of shrapnel out of his blood soaked side and holds it up. Still grinning he flicks it aside.
"Id hurry up if I were you, my patience doesnt last forever."

"I don't need to tell you anything. I would like to keep my past a secret, and I would grant you the same. Now, do you want my help or not?" Raven asks, getting very annoyed.

Tyranic, for a moment thought he caught a glimpses of a pendant around the man neck. Just above his black leather combat suit, and just below his intimidating skull mask. He is about to ask but think the better of it. At least it may prove that the man is human.

"I'm Raven, by the way."

I reaload my magazine *click-click*. If you two wanna have a lady's afternoon and chit-chat fine but i intend to live through this mess and all this babbling is doin nothin but given the bots time to find us... so you talk im leavin. I head down to the far end of the gulley where it looks to be a way out. steppin part way up the rocks i look over the edge of the ridge, i can still here the bots buzzin around above us but cant see them...

"I intend to do the same. Follow me if you want, but I make my own way."

Raven switches his shotgun for his sniper, and checks around the area, making certain it was clear.

Tyranic looks oddly at the... man, before turning and heading the other way.
"The conditions of this place said that we had to kill the origional bots, it said nothing about these new ones, which suggests to me either something has gone wrong or this is extra, and frankly I would love to spend the next five months trying to hunt those things but I would get bored. Now I'm heading to the edge of this place see if I can find the controller"

Controller? Like a hub for the bots?

"No he was the one who told us the rules of this training exercise, weve completed the task now he should let us carry on"

Ahh. Should watch those others just to be safe. Guess we should collect the rest of the group.

Raven moved up after scouting the area. He then press on, looking for structures, any way to get inside a building.

"The group? The only reason I'm letting you tag along is that your here already... You do realise that at some point we may very well meet each other in an arena? Dont you think it would be a good Idea not to make friendships?"

He shakes his head before moving swiftly through the underbrush.
"If you find them on the way, by all means bring them with us, I wouldnt wish boredom on anyone."

(shas) You trek swiftly for about 500 metres where yo come to an abrupt stop, a tall blue wall with veins of light running over it blocks your way its strongly reminiscent of the architecture of the hallways you saw before, you walk along it for a few minutes but fond nothing that represents a door.

"Oh, god," Falco mumbles, before hearing a slight buzzing in some places of the wall.

Slowly, and carefully, he puts his hand up to these parts...

"I get that but at the moment I thought we were working together, but ok."
I keep my distance but follow Tyranic through the brush We eventually come upon the sniper from earlier, standing at a blue "marble" wall the "veins" commonly seen in marble here were made of light it seems.

OOC: Oi! Get away from my marble!

IC: Raven notices footsteps coming up from behind him, and turn to see the two me from earlier.

"It's funny. I could swear you two walked away in completely the opposite direction."

"I was followin him." points at Tyranic. "So uh, ya figured out what it does yet?"

"Looks like were walking in circles... This place is disorienting. I suggest we split up and try to keep our bearings each heading in a different direction. The frst person to find an exit... well theyve found the exit.

He spots the Snipers hand on the wall and sees the faint vibrations.
"Whats up with the wall?"

"There must be a way through it, because some people must obviously come through here," Raven says pushing his hand in deeper and turning it. "See?" he says as the wall starts to fold itself outwards, creating an entrance.

He spots the other two staring in mild surprise.

"You first."

Tyranic nods,
"I wouldnt have it any other way... although you do have a shotgun..."
He grins before drawing his SMG's holding them before him in a steady manner he moves cautiously down the corridor expecting something to jump out at them at any moment. However something... else happens.

The trio (Well lets say that Myoji and LCK's chars also tagged along shall we?) walk forwards and the wall behind them seals shut. The sniper tries to open it but fails
"Were locked in."
"Forwards it is then. Lets go."

Tyranic moves more swiflty now, not worried about caution as he clears corridor after corridor, the twisting lanes seem to double back on themselves and cross over one anouther without actually intersecting. Marta briefly wonders what a floorplan of the system would look like when he and the other two open out onto a large domed room with a single large insectoid droid in the centre. The droids single cyclopean red eye is pulsing faintly in the dim light.

"I have a feeling it it shut down. Or recharging or something," Raven said, moving forward beyond the group, his shotgun ready. "No reason to wake it up."

"Indeed..."
Marta walks cautiously around the edge of the room with his weapons leveled at the droid. He goes to take a step sideways but finds his way impeded by a clear wall. The thin layer of what appears to be glass seems to run the entire room at the centre, the droid bisecting it neatly.

"Hmm so the only way through is... through the drone, nice." *grumbles* "What are the odds of getting close enough to it to sabatoge it before it wakes?" I look intently on all possible joints and then the eye... that thing just screams laser beam.

Raven wields his shotgun, and gets up close to the sleeping droid, just to put it right up against its head.

"There iss always this way."

Tyranic looks amused at the sniper.
"If the thing is dormant... which personally I dont think it is. Why do you think it would be so vulnerable?"

He raises his weapons in preparation.
"Oh and to answer your question. No i dont think we can sabotage it."

"I think, that we have two options. First, is if it really is the only thing standing in our way, I could blow it up right now, and we would be able to move through the complex, but have the risk of alerting everything else in this facility," Raven said, stepping away from the droid, and moving near the walls. "Or, we could study this place, see if we could find a way through, but maybe have the droid wake up and pounce on our backs. We could lose a few men, and we may not even get through. I know which option I prefer."

Tyranic nods,
"The first option."

He signals the group to spread out in preparation for the coming fight and looks askance at the Sniper.
"When you're ready boy"

"One thing, don't call me boy, seeing as you don't even know my age," Raven says jokingly, before moving over to the stationary droid. "Prepare yourself, for I fear it will nod take one shot, even with this shotgun," before putting the weapon to the back of what appears to be the head of the droid, and firing point blanc range.

The droids head rips downwards sharply cutting of Marta's reply and the soldier immediatly begins firing at the limb joints of the massive bot. Disabling a couple of its 6 legs almost instantly with carefully aimed shots. The shotgun blast had placed a large hole in the droids head but the thing still was active, although its eye was severly damaged. On of its legs kicks the sniper aside but feels the pain of the mans shotgun on its underbelly as he fires back reflexivley. Myoji dives into the fight hacking at the droids legs disabling a second pair and the bot's upper sections fall to the ground as it struggles to balance. Benjamin fires hails of shots directed at the droids weapon mounts disabling several before suddenly they explode violently some kind of ammunition resovoir clearly breached.

The men stop to reload as the sniper disables the last two legs and Marta moves forwards shooting a long but controlled burst into the droids neck severing it and finally the droid falls limp.

The clar wall abruptly shatters and the shards dissapear into blueish light as they would hit the ground.

"Well, that was exhilarating," Raven chuckles. "Now, be my guest," he says, motioning to the many ways onward.

Tyranic takes the cue and reloads before moving forwards. His footfalls uncompromising and steady. Although quite loud. He sees the sniper wince at the lack of stealth and the old soldier grins.

He gets to the corridor at the far end and looks through and is instantly a bit stunned. The small room with a single chair before a bank of cumputers seems to have been abandoned. With quite some haste. A spilt cup of room temperature liquid was spilled over the ground and several bullet casings were on the ground. The smell of old cordite hung in the air.

"Any of you computer savvy?"

"I have had some experience in my time. You have to in my line of work," Raven says, moving over to sit by the computer. "Aww, great. The entire system is shut down. I will need you to help me a little by finding the power boxes around, and turn them on. In the meantime, the entire place is dead."

"Well that explains the sleeping drone." Looking around the room," Don't see any other entrances from here, maybe behind the stacks. Any ideas?"

Marta goes to the wall and runs his hands over the surface suddenly he stops and presses firmly against the wall and a rack of batteries come out. He grimaces in distaste at the Electricity arcing of one of them and shots a shot into it knocking it out of the row. Pushing the system back in the computers boot up

OOC: Oh, I was hoping for you going deeper in the facility, powering up some boxes (because for some reason the system in here is REALLY old), and Raven could fight some dudes who come to him while you're down there...

... oh well...

IC: "There! The systems back up and running! I can try and access all the records stored in here."

"Well do tell us whats happeneing? Why cant we finish the exercise?"

"Well that was quick. I'll go watch the door just incase someone comes back to why the systems back up." Move to the door and hold position on the hinge side.

"It seems they had a near system wipe. Tried to delete all the files on the system. Like and emergency evacuation. But there are still some audio, video, and text logs. As far as I can see, its something to do with 'the system rebelling'. Something to do with the droids?" Raven asked nervously.

"Marvelous, anybody got an EMP gun we'll make it quick."

Tyranic looks amused. "At least we know that the "rebelling" will be limeted to this arena only. Were going to have to fight our way out though."
At that precise moment a hail of energy shots skitter down the corridor

Ravens instincts kick in, and he immediately jumps out his chair to get in a battle stance, and wields his shotgun, before rushing forward to dive for cover behind a wall. He turns his head around the corner quickly to see how many of them there are.

As debris blows around me and the door shatters under a hail of fire i think "At leats the wall is sturdy." I lean around the door frame and return fire at who or whatever is shooting.

You spot dozens of small droids about the size of your head and with energy weapons mounted on their backs, skittering down the corridor and over the walls. The droids make a carpet of enemy resistance as they rapidly charge forwards.
Tyranic draws both his weapons and lays down a veritable hail of fire into the droids.

"Ok whos got grenades? Barring that, is there a second way out and how do we overload the room?" Fires into the swarm.

"Grenades? They diddnt let us in with grenades"
Tyranic ducks behind the door whilst reloading.
"Sniper... can you blow the room at all?"

I would join, but the Character creation is way tooo GD complicated. If anybody would be nice enough I want a guns based avatar...

"I am happy you asked!" Raven shouts, revealing a large satchel which was previously hidden. "I've got grenades and C4, I personally prefer C4. So, the plan is, you cover me while I plant all my C4 in here, then we fall back, letting them follow us, taking up this room, and I set off the charges and blow them all to Kingdom come!"

Raven laughs at these words.

"Those windows that surround this room can be broken with a few rounds from my shotgun. That's our ticket out."

Tyranic nods,
"Well hurry up im running out of room here."

Raven sets to work, planting C4 charges all over the giant room, before blasting one of the windows down, and calling for everyone to follow him out.

We all jump out the window taking cover behind whatever we can find, the drones are covering everything and approaching the window from all sides... "Now would be a good time to hit the switch!"

"Time for the fireworks," Raven mutters, grinning under the mask. "I advise you all to put your hands over your ears!"

Raven hits the switch, and the droids become very little pieces.

Tyranic hits the ground, now back in the jungle. He looks up and moves out of the way as Myoji comes down. And then double takes. Multiple flying droids are buzzing over the canopy, lethal energy weapons mounted on their frames.

"Ok, bugs down, birds up." I start training on a flying drone.

More or less weve gone through a group of tunnels kileld some stuff and found out that the system is rebelling.

Oh and we have a new mysterious member :\

Drones in the sky!!!

Raven gets behind a tree, and quickly switches his shotgun for his trusty sniper, before climbing up the tree to a decent position, and applies quick headshots to the oncoming drones.

The drones prove to be rather resiliant and even after headshots it doesnt slow them much. Although they fly slightly hgher abouve the trees. Tyranic looks at a drone carefully before yellign to the sniper.
"Aim for the wing joints!!"

"Acknowledged! Always love saying that," Raven chuckles, before aiming specifically for the wing joints, which proves to be way more effective.

Soon the skys are clear of the inssecant buzzing and Tyranic calls the group together.
"Alright heres how I see the situation. At the moment we have no means of ruturning to our reality. Earth. Were stuck until we can find a reality station. And as far as I know there arnt any on Trialus. That means we have to get out of the Arena. Probably to Primus. Once there we can either head back or carry on. Im voting carry on, we enter some of the Team events and work our way up. Anouther thing. Im sure youve all noticed but my avatar... this body, feels more powerful... youve al noticed it in your own. I think they upgrade as we fight I feel stronger."

(OOOOOOkkkkkk LEVELUP everyone can put 3 points (total) where ever they want.)

"That building was the command post for this arena. Normally, they are near the edges so that they won't get any trouble from the combatants fighting in the center," Raven explained. "We are near the exit."

"Ah, so where is it then?"

Tyranic takes up the line here
"It should be fairly obvious. Buit as this arena has gone psyk at us i would say that there will be something guarding it. Most likely stronger than that other bot.

"That's why we should be prepared," Raven said, bringing up his shotgun. "And I believe the exit will be exactly the same as the entrance to that place. So we just need to keep moving up alongside the wall, until we find a bit like it."

"Exactly what I would do...

...but why drama? if we wanted to break out of the arena, couldn't we simply kill ourselves to return to reality?"

"You do that, and let us know how it works out for you. If the system's freaked what are the odds that killing yourself would work. You could wax yourself and be stuck in the bubble until the problem is fixed and the system is reset."

(IC) Tyranic looks at the man in disbelief.
"Have you noticed that whenever you put a clip back on your belt it refils? No? try it."

"We don't need any more weapons, and even if we did, we don't have any time," Raven sighed. "This entire arena is screwed up so we'd most probably be lucky enough to walk into the middle of about 200 drones, of every shape and size. No, we just need to get out of here. Hell, if anybody asks me nice enough, they may be aloud to borrow my shotgun," he grinned under the masked, as he walked away, sticking to the blue fluorescent wall.

"Hmp, sorry was a little busy shootin the things tryin ta kill us to notice I hada autofill belt."

"its not a problem I can understand the mindset."
His hands motion forwards,
"We might as well follow him"

*shrugs* "Ehh, sure seems like a good idea. No better option really."

"No your right, at the moment there isnt a better option."

Raven keeps rubbing his hand along the wall, moving while he goes, trying to find the exit, when finally he feels something on the wall. He nods to the others, before moving his hand further into it.

"AAARGH! gak! Argh!" he screams, seeing the others wince. "Aha! Just joking!"

He takes his hand out, and the wall starts to fol inwards, making a path out of the arena.

"There is our way out."

Tyranic looks bemused
"Your a fool you knwo that right?"
He shakes his head in disbelief as he takes point through the walla nd stops abruptly. The two men end up on either side of him and their mouths drops.
"That was way to easy"
They were looking at the man from before, even Benjamin and Falco regestered who he was. And he was gesturing behind him to three pods. Sort of like what a cryogenic unit would look like.

"Great a comedian." Following the rest into the space, "Wait what the hell? Thought he was supposed to be dead?"

"I cannot be deleted in this place. Because I am an Instructor here thus I cannot die inside this Arena. Please enter the pods they will take you to Primus"

"Why thank you. Ever so kind you are," Raven chuckles as he walks past the man, and to the escape pods, still being quite cautious."

rolls eyes, "Go figure." walks to pods, after a couple pokes and prods steps in...

And wakes up in what appears to be a massive lobby, pods surrounding the walls, hundreds upon hundreds of avatars moving in every direction. The small group looks around.

"well this is new"

"I wish I could say the same thing. But unfortunately not."

"Lambs to the slaughter anyone? We might be, following an obviously disturbed shepard." slowly follows after Raven.

Tyranic follows but more confidantly.
"Well were here. We may as well enrol in the next team event."

*sigh* "Ok sure sounds like a plan to me." Looks around, "Where do we start? There's several terminals to choose from."

"Just get us in in one of the events, as it seems we have a fair team here to work with," Raven motions towards the rest of the group. "And I suggest you get some more weapons. You'll need them."

"Good luck getting new weapons, we have no cash at the moment, I say we enter some of the beginner events and butcher them, get a good rep bonus and some decent cash for a whitewash and then move on to bigger and better things"

"Whatever you say, I'm ready as I am."

"Likewise, what about the rest of you? Regardless if were in this as a team we should sort out some kind of role for each person. Stregths weaknessess, we need to know them"

"Well I like to think of myself as a quite decent sniper, and if anybody gets close I always have my shotgun handy."

"Strengths, ok, what about weaknessess? overconfidence? arrogance maybe? Im not insulting you, it happens to the best of us, I just need to know who Im fighting alongside"

"I prefer to either hit em from a distance or in the back from the shadows. Though sometimes I find I wait a little to long for the 'perfect' shot and then lose it."

"Ok thats not a biggy, with the group here we should be ok. We can back you up if you do miss your shot. Wouldnt have picked you for that with a machine gun though. An energy rifle might have been better"

"Hey I'm workin with what they gave me, as with any game the 'nubs' always start with crap gear anyways."

"Seems to be the case doesnt it?"

"Anyway, the games will be starting soon, we should prepare," Raven says, loading his shotgun.

"Ok soo where do we start, they got field descriptions on these things as well as ranks so we don't step into a onesided bloodbath?"

Tyranic uses a nearby bench as a foot rest as he reties his laces and checks his ammo feeds.
"Ask Snipes over there, he seems to be running this gig."

"My names Raven, and I would appreciate it if you used my name," Raven says, leaning against the wall, weapons prepared already. "And from what I know, and can see, it is the warriors of lowest rank and skill that will be in the first fight. And they don't know what we're capable of, so we will participate in the first battle, and move up when we win. Any questions? Cos I want to get this thing started."

"Well know that I know your name I can use it. And no no questions, Im as ready as you are. But your the one who has been here before, lead the way"

As for the fighting, I was thinking maybe like CC Energy weapons( Maybe? Like a holo-axe?) and explosives for shortish range (THink grenades, maybe some mines that like) and Idk a pistol to balance it a little.

Seems fine with me, ill write it up soon, have some family round atm.
