Well RPers of Dakka, I've decided to throw in my lot to our fair role-play forum.
This is nation based world conquest. This means that every player will start off with their own nation, and work towards ruling the entire world (Europe). You can base your nation off of anything you want to, or make it up completely. Your choice. But remember, we will all start off at a Mid-evil era tech level. Bows and swords, one might say. As we progress, you can advance your technology and nation. You can expand your nation by diplomacy, religion, invasion, wealth, or any other way you can (reasonably) imagine.
I'll run this with the PM system. For those of you new, you simply PM me your actions, and I'll factor them with others to show what happens. You can post things happening in your nation, things happening with any characters you want to have, and things you're going to do that you want public.
TEMPLATE:
Nation: The name, obviously, and flag, if you so please.
People: What kind of people inhabit your nation. Black, White, Asian, furry, etc.
Government: How you rule your nation. Military Rule, Republic, Empire, Church, etc.
Ruler: Who rules the country. In essence, your character. King Testikles, Chairman Boppity, etc.
Population: How many people inhabit your nation. Rough numbers, such as 1,500,000, 1,500,000, etc. No going over 2,000,000, and I will ensure reasonable populations
Economy: What drives your income and out-come and current status of wealth. Sell excess farm food, buy weapons, poor, wealthy, etc.
Tech: What kind of technology you specialize in, current advancements, and research ability. (NOTE: Influences technological progress.) Locomotion, Weaponry, Naval, etc.
Military: The fighters of your nation: Factored by:
(Note: You must balance these factors. If your army is all-consuming, then it must be cannon fodder. If it's invincible, then it must be miniscule.)
History: Any relevant biography for your nation and it's people. Origins, major geography, major events, etc
Map and nations, along with sample nation, run by me, who will only influence the world via trade, unless I need to unleash my armies. And yes, we'll call this the entire world, unless I feel we need more room.

Nation- Navar
People- Multi Cultured, allows immigration only when not in war though.
Government- Republic, each race gets two representatives. One member is voted Head Representative he has the final decision in everything.
Ruler- Head Representative Nicholas.
Economy-Exports excess food and metals, imports wood and medicine

Military- Small Elite
History- Was created when a group of humans and a group of elves both escaping genocides in their countries formed a community together. It grew with the ideal of a safe haven for the oppressed. Although most of these ideals were broken when many who came turned out to be criminals. The country came close to anarchy, before the council created the strict immigration processing and police force. During this unrest they also came under attack by many of their neighbors looking to control the smaller country, and for years their entire scientific focus came to military uses. This resulted in the creation of their multiple powerful warmachines as well as it's expert navy, which use an experimental type of engine kept secret from others. It allowed them to quickly move even their heaviest ship to outmaneuver their enemy. They have now grown to be a small but respectable nation and have returned to most of their previous ideals.

THE BRINGER
Nation: Drinnshliek
People: Cave trolls and drow
Government: Similar to feudal system, the seven heads of the country are dark elves.
Ruler: 7 Lords or Ladies, first child of the current ruler becomes the next.
Economy: Livestock are abundant on the surface, and are a major export. The trolls are either miners or blacksmiths.
Tech: Underground specialization, Troll basic metal weapons, Drow fine weapons and luxuries.
Military: Massive Draft, +7 Invincibles
History:
Aren, Aszmyn, Veryn, Tatlon, Sabryn, Jhaunae, and Raebeya were seven elf siblings. Their mother was Dranuen, and their father the god Alilrae Tilntarr. They were born in Kasrkaos, and lived in the northwestern region.
They lived in peace and isolation, till one day rumor spread among superstitious wives of their existence, and it was believed that they were demons, destined to destroy Kasrkaos. Rumors multiplied and grew, until one day a bold group of warriors crossed into their home and slaughtered their mother.
The children of Alilrae fled to the west. They found a ship and started a journey to cross the ocean. They sailed and sailed, and finally landed on the island of Drinnshliek, inhabited completely by barbaric trolls - who lived in caves and tunnels that penetrated the entirety of the island.
The children were forced to become masters of the blade to survive in the barbaric land. Their greatest weapons were stealth and cunning. They saw that their father had favored them, and so they built a shrine honoring him, and then swore an oath to each other, that they would for eternity protect each-other and conquer this foul land, making it their own.
That night they each took up their weapons and started a bloodbath, killing every troll warlords and leader they could find. Within a year, they had killed every troll who assumed authority over others - and hell was breaking loose. Trolls were turning on trolls, and every fight was one for survival.
They carved out the island into seven provinces, named after them. They forced the trolls into submission, slaughtering all who disobeyed their orders - however the trolls soon came to respect their dark-elf masters. Though the trolls were stronger than them, the drow had infinitely superior cunning, finesse, and beauty.
Alilrae blessed the brothers and sisters with long life, and gave them each a husband and wife from amongst his other children.
The drow siblings died after a few centuries. Their children took the same oath they did, swearing to protect each-other even if it led them to their own death. Down through the ages they perfected the art of swordsmanship and manipulation. They could make a man kill himself if it was their will, and they could strike down small armies by themselves. - and their troll underlings grew less and less warlike.
The drow and trolls live in caves, tunnels, anywhere where darkness was greater than sunlight. They let predators and herds roam the surface, coming up and slaughtering them for food whenever they need them.

MORDOSKUL
Nation: Tarvo
People: Mostly Caucasian
Government: Monarchy backed by various noble houses
Ruler: Lord Kassius IV of the House of Kelov
Population: 1,500,000
Economy: Regulated Free Market
Tech: Calvary, printing-press, crude rifles
Military: Trained Big, Cavalry
History: Seven hundred years ago, the land of Callaka (modern day Tarvo) was populated by dozens of warring barbarian tribes that cared little for the trappings of civilization. Numerous disparate city-states lay scattered about Callaka, content to war with one another over small glories. There was one man, however, of the Tarvii who possessed visions of an empire. That man was Abelard, and he possessed the manpower and cunning to bring his dreams to fruition. Leading his warriors into battle against the Ostrogi, the Talii, the Vesterlans, and dozens of other Callakan tribes, Abelard assembled the Grand Host, which he took to the plains of Ukr and beyond, leaving cities smashed and villages emptied. The Ukr Wars lasted for eight years, and saw a unified Tarvo emerge from the ruins of dozens of city-states. Abelard understood that if his Empire was to survive, he needed to keep the numerous slave states in line. Thus was the Consul created to ensure that each such state was overseen by a loyal Tarvii warlord. Five more years passed, and Abelard grew restless, feeling the call to war once again. Raising the Grand Host to war, he marched to the end of the sea, subjugating the various peoples that dwelt there. His conquest at an end, Abelard was purported to have wept, for the world was his, nothing could challenge him. He then bade his shield bearer to kill him, for he saw no point in living without the thrill of conquest. As the warrior raised his sword, an arrow pierced his heart, launched from heathen bow. Warriors from modern day Nytheria had landed their vessels on the shore, and had begun to pepper the Grand Host with arrows. Abelard was both overjoyed and enraged, there were still those that opposed him, his empire had not united all as he had thought. The next decade was marked by brutal fighting as the Tarvo invaded Lehmania (modern day Nytheria in an event known as the Battle of the Red Sea, as the ocean itself ran red with the blood of attacker and defender alike. Abelard himself burned down the sacred groves of the Lehmanians, an act that enraged the natives, who retaliated brutally in the Battle of the Mohrn, and nearly dislodged the Tarvo from their island home. The Tarvo pushed back with alarming speed and cruelty, dragging Lehmanian prisoners behind their chariots by their entrails. When Abelard captured the capitol of Avernod, he ordered every Lehmanian prisoner to be tied to a stout wooden pole. Abelard then rode past the great line, decapitating every prisoner with a stroke of his sword. Lehmania now under Tarvo control, Abelard made to return to Callaka, but died from a fever on the return trip. Decades later, the Tarvo began to lose control of their slave-states in Lehmania and those on the coast, and a bloody civil war raged as the Consul slaughtered the rebels. Tarvo won the conflict, but lost a great deal of land as a result, a loss they have not recovered from to this day. Today, however, King Kassius IV has assembled the Grand Host once again, and means to restore the Empire of Tarvo to its former splendor.

Nation: Irongraud
People: A short race ranging from 4 feet to 4 feet 9 inches in height they have white skin.
Government: A Representative democracy in which the the leader serves for life.
Ruler: Bronzfist Of Forging, and is aid Fistbeard McBeardfist. Capitol: Ghostboards

Military: The bulk of the army is made up of men to power the siege weapons, the rest is archers.
Quantity: Small 5,000
Quality: Elite
History: (This is what is written in the history books form them) The nation was founded in the year 2, it never bothered to expand they had all they needed, so they stayed mostly neutral after awhile they discovered how to combine some metals with others to make even better metals that wear harder lighter, and used less raw materiel (some how), they at some point started to envelope vast quantities of large machines of war, that did stuff, they didn't know what exactly because they never needed to use them. so one day the Valiant Coperhead decided to test one, on a more relevant note he was the first ruler. So the Great nation Of Irongraud was formed.
INDEPENDENT STATES:
Mishagehn: A popular port city by any standard, Mishagehn is THE hub of seaward trade and communication. The city of 100,000 is a completely free democracy, the only law being the rules of the tight-nit groups families and friends, a system which works surprisingly well. Any nation or people can walk into the city, whatever their business, without worry, as long as their intentions are clean.
Los Guerreros: Collection of three loosely connected cities, Guerreros has little in the way of an army or navy, but is rather a huge expanse of farms and forestry, exporting huge amounts of material for cloth and other minor needs.
Zuesta: An area claimed by a group of raiders. Has no government.
I'll divide the map according to the players and their nations. I gave Kasrkaos a very simple border up north. I'll update it regularly to show expansion, invasion, capitals, and major discoveries.
Yeah, but a certain somebody just necro'ed the entire first page of the RP forum, almost drowning me forever.
Wayland sounds good, and Bastion is a good SW reference for a military nation.

whats a good name for a cultist country were everyone follows dark gods and its all happiness and sacrifices to the great rainbow god?
I'm trying to avoid out-right magic, unless you guys really want to, but you don't necessarily have to have humans or real animals, so long as it's basically possible.
So yes, you could have Troll, Orcs, Cat-people, and Lizards, but no witches or wizards.
OK (that dinner was an ordeal. my parents flipped out when I refused to back down on 'holding the knife in the left hand is perfectly fine')
I am happy to see a thread like this up. I do this hombrew thing with my cousins every christmas break/summer. and have a lot of experience (i also made it so when a war happens we use 40k-ish mechanics on a terrein set up table with plastic soldiers as infantry...not ONE of my beach landings has been successful!)
anyways
Wayland. (pop: Waylanders)
people: former warring tribesmen. (think, tuaregs/berbers/saudis)
the Wayland climate is hot enough to make ordinary men feel drowsy, and give the high northerners heatstroke. but the natives can walk for days under the brutal sun. the primary mode of transport is camels, donkeys, and horses. and the military is composed of all veterans. as this country's army specializes in raiding. as well as pacifying the more barbaric tribes yet to join the fold. such as the 'Mad Savatars'
it is a massive country with many provinces. and is protected from landing on the Kiffar peninsula by both mountains, and the massive coastal fort of Gebra
capital: Al-Kahli
(Yes it is (based off) Klatch!)
ruler: Kadram the Uniter (warlord/sovereign)
(orks are the soldiers we use that are captured from the deep South, equip them with better weapons and order them about.pointing them toward the enemy.) also. are these Orcs 'this fella aint dead' or Orks? 'oo iz yoo lookin at git?'
it is too hot for trolls in Waland. (trolls are silicate life forms that eat rocks and stand at termie/dread hight but the heat makes these normally violent creatures brains overheat and turn to slag)
Alright, I'm going to say each nation can have a special native, be it giants or orcs or whatever (Which I would think Orc, like lord of the rings) But then again, your orcs could become orkz as we advance through the ages.
Ineptus, if you could follow the template a bit more, because everything listed is important to game-play.

Tech: I don't know. I'd like the trolls to use lo-tech weaponry, and the dark-elves to use the the finest of the finest. They don't excel at air or sea fighting. The elves attack pin-point locations in complete stealth. They would probably make extensive use of solar-panels later on because they don't live on surface.
Military: A medium number of drafted trolls (really the entire population of them has mediocre training). Also, the 7 lords/ladies are near invincible.

If I missed something just tell me and I'll fix it.
I like the isolated theme of your nation, Bringer. Makes it so much more interesting when you join the fray.
LE UPDATE MAP GO GO:
I'm giving everyone a color to show where their military, influence, and colonies are.
Remember, as much as military force seems fun, diplomacy and bartering will do good as well. Gotta keep the people clothed and fed while you wage war. (Be as under-handed as you please, as long as I know.)
I think the bit you missed is the map and the fact that orcs are (as far as I know) not yet 'orks' (with flash) but 'Orcs' (LOTR) as well as the fact that I had claimed uniqueness for the orcs/orks to be in Harad
oh well. no problem for me.
changed the name to "harad" kasrkai (yes I stole it from LOTR)
2. Maybe not Orcs, but Trolls bringer. Monkey lizard type things. More Caste like
3. It's basically the PM system. I'll use this mostly when a player wants to do a hidden action, or during a war. There are some random events, such as foreign invaders and raiders from no nation, or even monsters and such. In such cases it would be cumbersome to say what you do, and could be distracting. In all other cases, you will simply announce what's going on, such as a desire for trade, or national events in your nation.
4. Those random lines were Toaste's, but I keep getting ninja'd like when he said he wanted Italy, and I'm working with MS Paint, which has a very limited undo function. I'll have to redo the map to fix the names.
K, howabout blackish-gray? Btw, I just like spelling orks with a "k" instead of "c". By no means do I want the silly spore-orks of 40k.
@Karskai, that would actually fit what I wanted really well!!! I'll make it trolls... or possibly a mix of trolls and orks, because I don't think trolls would be able to do metal-working or mechanical engineering...
The Bringer wrote:K, howabout blackish-gray? Btw, I just like spelling orks with a "k" instead of "c". By no means do I want the silly spore-orks of 40k.

stay away from my rainbow troll golems!
also...red,yes red would be a better color for my army.
note that trolls are silicates. (the colder they are the smarter they get. if they were in the antartic they would be figuring out universal secrets. but in places like Harad they would siez up and not be able to move at all)
No more name or location changes, okay? We've got room for three, maybe four more people, counting Mordo, so start PMing!
hu? erm, lets wait til mordo posts, that way he and any that join wont be stuck with a bunch of territory unavailable and have no-were to start. also so you can finish the map in one swoop and post it when its time to start.
Straight lines are easy to carve into stone. White represents the holiness of the people, the red background represents the blood that must be shed for their cause.
Heads-up players. One of our RPers is already PMing me his initial plans, so start setting up your nation!
Also, I've come up with an under-ground syndicate, having operations in each Nation. Might want to put some investigation on that when we begin. (You'll have to PM your actions on this subject, as it counts as a constant event.)
are we allowed to post bits with our country leaders talking on this? (country leaders day, as in he is furious at losing a battle and you write his angry frenzy at is subordinates out here)
Can you include the controlling player's name above the nation in your OP? That way I don't have to go through the posts figuring out who controls who.
As for starting bits, I'd like to hold off on that, as we may have more joining nations, and it would be awkward for a war to start, only for a new democracy to appear smack in the middle.
Bits on the current state of the nation are welcome, however, you cannot say you are in a war yet unless it is an agreement between players involved in the war.
Guys, Kasrkaos will not make an alliance at this moment. For now, it is my epic nation to destroy those who are ruining this world.
Updated OP: Population
Further more, I'd like to point out something. Everything that is going on, is in the far future, roughly a million years from now where we have already wiped our-selves out in WWIII, went back to the stone age for 800,000 years, and are growing civilized once more. This is how the world looks roughly the same, but new species have evolved and the nations are different.
I threw up a discussion thread. We will leave this until RP actually begins.
And yes, it's basically a free-for-all town. Messing too much might cause terrible repercussions throughout the world, however, as this is a valuable city.
Nation: Tarvo People: Mostly Caucasian Government: Monarchy backed by various noble houses Ruler: Lord Kassius IV of the House of Kelov Population: 1,500,000 Economy: Regulated Free Market Tech: Tarvo has always been famed for its nigh-unstoppable cavalry, trampling other armies into the dirt with a thousand thousand steel-shod hooves. A mass transit system involving steam-powered locomotives has been in effect for years, and continued advances into steam technology appear promising. The first nation to develop the firearm, a small number of Tarvo soldiers carry steam-powered rifles, which are proof against any armor. However, the weapons are prone to explosive misfires, and Tarvo scientists work around the clock to develop more efficient steam weapons that do not maim their wielders. Tarvo utilizes a printing press to mass produce their literature. Specializes in steam-tech. Military: Tarvo boasts a disproportionally large cavalry to infantry ratio, and prefers to simply smash the enemy apart with powerful charges that shatter the front lines. The average Tarvo soldier wears a breastplate as well as boiled leather that covers their limbs. Most soldiers are equipped with a longsword and metal shield, and fight in loose formation, making it easier for them to rush in after the cavalry has broken the enemy. Quality: Trained. Quantity: Big. History: Founded by the Warrior-King Abelard Aclous seven centuries ago, the Empire of Tarvo has since spread far beyond its original borders, laying claim to most of Central Europe and parts of Asia. Since the advent of steam technology twenty years ago, Tarvo has bent its considerable resources into developing and refining new and deadly weapons of war. In its quest for knowledge, Tarvo has clashed with Narvar over the possession of a mysterious engine uncovered in East Asia. A war that lasts to this day has raged over the possession of this artifact, which Lord Kassius believes will give his empire the edge it needs to unite the world under his banner.
EDIT: Just say the bit about being at war. Consider our feud with Navar to be just strained relations until Nicholas gives the okay.
kasrkai here. Mordo im not entirely sure about your tech. thats at least three hundred years ahead of the rest. id let you have crude fire arms due to the mobile nature of your army, but the steam machine thing is unfair the other more primitive nations. ill let you have it by the rennisance era, deal?
then again, you might play the role of the tyrannical emperor well... guys ill be gone for a couple days. keep it simple, on topic, and dont you dare start playing till i get back.
Dracomancer wrote:then again, you might play the role of the tyrannical emperor well... guys ill be gone for a couple days. keep it simple, on topic, and dont you dare start playing till i get back.
Mordo, I'd rather keep it at strained relationship than outright war at the moment, my country has a policy to not go to war until deemed completely necessary. We are always open for negotiation of trade if you desire, but any form of aggression will have repercussions.
mordo ive mulled it over and steam is too much. you can still have limited firearms. also, youll be filling the space between raindomtopia and awecur, as far east as the sea and as far west as france. that about right?
if you guys have enough room for me

After an century the general's family became the expected rulers as each generation became more suited and capable than the last. The aristocrats have the power to elect someone else to be the High Emperor. The military might is even spread out along the borders with an protion of the army in the center waiting for any form of invasion.
Map and nations, along with sample nation, run by me, who will only influence the world via trade, unless I need to unleash my armies. And yes, we'll call this the entire world, unless I feel we need more room.

The council of Navar met once again in Duraz. Their neighbors were getting more aggressive especially Tarvo to the North. Some members led by an ork representative wanted to answer the aggressions with the cannons of their ships, but Head Councilman Nicholas quieted them with a reminder of the values that had founded there nation. The peace of their freedom would only be possible if trade flowed, without trade Navar could not prosper. Until it was absolutely necessary to do otherwise, they would continue to be open to the world. Yet any injustice to it's people or allies would be met with the with the might of their armies. And when justice is dealt and the enemy left broken only then will they be allowed once again to be worthy of their own freedom.
Another decision was also proposed by the elven representative and approved. Ships were to be sent west to build a naval base on the free islands east of Los Guerreros, as a way point between the journey to Mishagehn. To appease the ork representative forces were also to be sent North into the mountains to have a better defensive position if Tarvos was to attack.
K... I haven't been in a game quite like this before, so I'll do my best.
[In the City of Aszmyn]
The seven brothers and sisters sat on ominous stone thrones, each set on one of the seven faces of the large room they were in. It was completely dark save a small stream of lava flowing through the center which illuminated the room, casting a red glow on everything.
Aszmyn, the wisest and oldest of them all spoke first, "My dear brothers and sisters, it has been ten years since the trolls first swore loyalty to us... I have called this meeting because our presence is finally known in the world - and if we do not greet it, we will be left behind by it."
"I am sure you have heard from your own sources plenty of who rules in the eastern and southern lands... and now we must decide who we shall trust - and who we shall keep a wary eye on. I know that some of you still hold contempt in your hearts for Kasrkaos, but the murder of our mother was the fault of a small band of fools... I see wisdom in not bearing resentment against them, and engaging in trade with the people of those lands."
"I feel as though it would be equally wise to start good relations with Harad. We both have assets that the other values - and we seem to have common enemies..."
"As to those we don't trust, brothers and sisters, keep your eyes and ears open..." Here the seven went to discuss matters of a more sensitive nature for some time, before coming to internal affairs... (which I will post later)
Kasrkai, can you do a write-up of the Westward Expansion?
Your expansion?
I suppose. No time? Or a lack of inspiration at the moment?
Well, I don't know what I'll be encountering, barbarian tribes or whatnot. It seems that it would be in your court. By the way, is Awecur attacking Tarvo?
Day after day as I bodies slay
And the sun becomes dark in the sky
Everything's lost for this human race
And the dawn of a new age will rise
Rays of sunlight now are gone
Only visions of ice will remain
The fallen ones and forgotten souls
Will rise up over the slain
No more hope as we raise our hands to the sky
No more dreams as the rivers run dry
Everything's lost all is left astray
Only sorrow and sadness remains
Curtains have dropped on our fallen world
And the forces of darkness shall rise
Why can't you see what has happened to thee
Can you not open your eyes
Everything's lost there is no retreat
And the valleys echo with pain
No more hope as we raise our hands to the sky
No more dreams as the rivers run dry
On the endless sea of madness we sail forever more
And the endless tears of sadness towards the distant shores
When the flame has died forever we stand one and all
With the power of the almighty sword
We fight the battle on the fields tonight
To save us from the master of all evil sign
And to the battle on forever standing strong
We feel the fire power of the night warriors
No more tomorrow
Dying of sorrow
Over the mountains and up through the trees
Traveling across seven seas
No more hope as we hold our hands to the sky
No more dreams as the rivers run dry
On the endless seas of madness we sail forever more
And the endless tears of sadness towards the distant shores
When the flame has died forever we stand one and all
With the power of the almighty sword
We fight the battle on the fields tonight
To save us from the master of all evil sign
And to the battle on forever standing strong
We feel the fire power of the night warriors
On the endless seas of madness we sail forever more
And the endless tears of sadness towards the distant shores
When the flame has died forever we stand one and all
With the power of the almighty sword
We'll fight the battle on the fields tonight
To save us from the master of all
We fight the battle on the fields tonight
To save us from the master of all evil sign
And to the battle on
Forever standing strong
We feel the fire
Power of the night warriors

No, but they are moving an army of 500+ to secure lands north of Navar. And that's what the PM system is for.
(I forgot to mention my army is set up in an legion setting, as in mainly infantry with some archers)
looks like this
Dante the fourth haven't even taken his final breath when his son, the fifth, had slam the heavy oak doors behind him leaving his father to die alone but not in vain. the winter marked a new year in Nyteria and a new ruler hell bent on making his glorious nation surpass its allies and enemies. The stony fortress that had held the throne and council for decades have always been a chain holding progress in the fifth's mind.
"The throne shall move south the city of Draketh, there this nation shall rise from the stagnant state to a nation to be admire and feared. he approaches the courtyard with the bulk of Nythiria's men at arms stood at attention wondering why the sudden order to march to the High fortress. "Men! In this new year I shall be your new lord and commander. I shall rebirth this country into a world power that will command respect from all! At some point in your military career you shall taste blood of not my enemies but your countrymen's! This island nation shall spread into the main land like the plague conquering the weary and the fools! But for my reign this old forgotten fortress will lose the throne to the water city of Draketh where every single legend of our land has been born. If the fools that cry and whine and beg on the council decide to follow like the leeches they are they are free to do so but they have no influence over my decisions. Already i have a chose ally that is the only suitable nation to help our goals! The grand nation of... the nation's name broke the silence of the air as all loyal bent their knees to their new lord who had usurped his father in his final hours. All respect for the concil authority vanish as this charismatic and noble man took stage and declared a plan to take what belong to the Nythirian men and women.
Bronzfist, and his trusted aid Fistbeard McBeardfist ascended the stairs to their glorious halls of the city of GhostBoard to address their people. As they reached the top of the stairs they walked onto the balcony overlooking the main plaza. And Fistbeard Mcbeardfist uttered a single set of words. "Shut yer' traps ya' lazy mongrels." The whole of the city let out a large triumphant roar of thanks when they saw their leader.
"Nation, This is tough time for all of us, the oncoming thought of war, and the fact that we still don't know what those machines do. But on the bright side the harvest metals is increased and we have been able to secure a solid perimeter around our border. So you all should have no need to worry and go back to your monotonous daily living."
With that the daily hubbub of the city returned to normal, then the real work began.
Sabryn motions and a Troll rises in front of him, and raises his guttural voice "The expansion of the Empire is going as planned. The city of Aszmyn has reached a depth of 43 Leagues, Sabryn 35 Leagues, Veryn 34, Tatlon 30, Aren, 33, Reabeya, 28, and Jhaunae, 25." Here the troll continued into many boring statistics concerning their metal stocks and other such business.
Amid the drone another troll broke into the room. "I have an urgent message from the Republic!" He said, while bowing his head. He handed a letter to Aszmyn, who after reading it looked disheartened, and he passed the letter around the room to his brothers and sisters.
"This is indeed grave news... what shall we do?" He said.
Veryn raised his voice for the first time, "We shall muster those who have not partaken in this plot... and finish it before it began."
"Or perhaps go with it... it is possible this plot will not interfere with our plans at all."
"I see..."
"I will take care of those matters and inform you when I have learned more... well, I believe that ends this meeting..."
The brothers and sisters stepped down from their thrones and each left the ominous council room.
“My lord” said the messenger. “The Tarvans are mustering their armies, but on a brighter note, the military alliance with Navar has been solidified. And publicly announced.” Kadram’s eyes wandered to the northern windows again (glassless) but he answered “the first is not as I had hoped, but the second is good, also, what about general Ishmael’s expansion?” the messenger consulted the scrolls again “he asks only for ten more company of Uruks, the baseline orcs and men are not quite enough if he is to continue the expansion to the border of Zuesta. In fact, with that many troops, he could invade and utterly crush any resistance.” Kadram idly waved the statement away. “he will have his soldiers. But Zuesta is not yet to be invaded. Send an emissary first.”
“Your will be done my lord.” Kadram looked away from the window the motionless immortals beside his throne filed out. Their skull-like masks betraying no emotion. Kadram left the throne room for the absolute top of the tower. A thin spire, a minaret wherein he stood and watched the blue haze sparkle in the north. The sea. To the south was a large inland lake. But the sea, and in turn the ocean was in the north. He had to go to Gebra in a few days, so walking downstairs, he pondered the question. what to do about Tarvo?
[On the Troll Guild System - Recorded by Kratos Griksel]
The Trolls of Drinnshleik have a very unique system of both education and work. When the trolls reach about the age of 5, they start looking for guilds that they would like to join. The guild that the troll is accepted to will then train that troll in their trade, and when he is learned fully, he will then become an equal worker to the other guild members.
Every guild is self-governed. Some have a very specific focus, and others a wide one. Fore example, there are some guilds dedicated solely to the crafting of axes, whereas others will take on any task as long as the word metal is involved. Some guilds are much more refined than others, choosing only the most skilled trolls as their members, and others are more lax, taking in all who want to join.

Heavy lies the crown of the barbarian. As a result of the fall of Constantinople to the barbaric hordes of Alaric Koch, the royal families fled to the east and south. Taken refuge among the rebel islanders in the south and the mountain bandits to the east. The coffers of Awecur are vast, the result of conquest and slaughter across half of Europe, caravans of gold and weapons and silk pass through the gates every hour, stretching from horizon to horizon. The fortress city of Constantinople is rumored to be as old as the earth, the foundations being hundreds of thousands of years old, and the battlements as hard and unshakable as the mountain. Naval warfare is unsurpassed by the world, with Awecur being the lead manufacturer and designer of war ships, as well as the fastest trade ships. They lie in a position to dominate the trade in the meditation, but would have to use their prowess wisely. The world is watching this young nation, waiting for a fool hardy mistake. Fist, they should subjugate the islander rebels, thus controlling the Meditation. Aswell as finding and killing the royal cowards hiding in the east.

Navar has always seen war as a last resort even on the eve of battle. This has led to the bulk of their formations to be defensive in nature. They often use psychological tactics to deter the battle to begin with seeing a victory without battle being better than one where the enemy is crushed. Often times against less organized enemies the first firing of a cannon causes total surrender, against organized armies they make their first victory total ensuring little if no survivors as a message to deter further attacks. Navar also uses it's diversity to it's advantage as well and places a specific job in the hands of the most capable.
Navar battle lines are split up to allow cannons to fire between ranks. When the enemy gets within a hundred meters, or two hundred against horses, the cannons are pulled back and ranks are closed. The front lines of soldiers have a pike and shield to stop the charging enemy, while the second has shield and short spear to stab Over the large shield wall of pikemen. And the third row holds their shields and are given shortswords above their heads to stop arrows. Much like the roman turtle formation only focused more on the front. Then their are a few rows of men with shield and spear or sword to replace those who fall. Behind those are the foot archers with longbows. These archers focus on firing on the enemy flanks to concentrate them in one area. If this tactic succeeds Navar flanks push forward and surround them. Then the crushing tactic comes in. Cavalry are used as harassing units equipped with shortbow and swords.
It's ships follow a variety of designs for specific jobs. Whether it is designed to transport outmaneuver or put out a lot of firepower, they all have a base design where the ship is compartmentalized, making it much more survivable. If one section is breached only that one is flooded so the ship does not sink. This in combination with Navar's cannons make them deadly on the water.
mee too. (I am an American BTW! I had 11 ancestors in the American revolution! and lost count of those in the civil war [both sides] my ancestors were something like 2/6 ship after the mayflower {true story} the one half of my family is Normans, and the other half is Acharyas [that would be the nepali bit])
now that the cultural rant is over, I think that mordo is right. (I am updating the troops list, it was a rush job)

Ineptus stays up late in Nepal, but not so much by American time standards, so you're really the only non-American here. We need to have a soft schedule so we can all be here at the same time. I'm always here from at least noon to nine, US Central.
Due to our rapid oil and metal stockpiling, you will need to expand the main stores in all seven cities. We have already instructed *Migkul to assist you in the mining.

Shroud: There is at least one wheel in every city, providing the means to ground flower and keep the forges hot. As for production, it proceeds as normal
The council had finally had enough of the injustice that was the nation of Awecar. One raid had become too many now, and Navar was ready for war. It was a two sided attack from land and sea. The Awecar navy despite being one of the most powerful in the world was unprepared for the cannons of the Navar fleets a hundred ships strong. Soon after the ships sank the guns of Navar fell on to the coastal Cities Crete and Saimos turning them to all but rubble. As the Navar forces landed ashore the survivors were rounded up and all executed in the name of Justice. From the North The Navar forces marched onto the city of Serbion. Although an impressive city with great defenses, the guns of Navar out ranged the defense weapons of Awecar, and they were forced to abandon their walls to take the fight to the Navar. They charged fearing to let their enemies guns take their toll, but the cowards crashed against a wall of pikes and metal. They were pushed back as the Navar began their own slow advance on the flanks. Their defeat became total as the first Navaran war machine took the field. The tank cannon deafened the heathens while the men above it rained arrows down below. Unable to stop the mighty construct the men of Awecar attempted to surrender, and were crushed beneath it's wheels. Killed to a man.
After these crushing defeats were heard by the entire country Navar sent a message to each city individually saying, "Justice has come to this country of traitors. For all those who do not repent Justice will be swift and merciless. Navar is a nation of two sides one has clearly been seen this day and it is the Justice all men should uphold, the other is forgiveness that all men deserve."
Mordoskul wrote:Might want to mention the 11,000 + troops I sent into Awecur...
I thought your army was big meaning 10k even with recruits you sent your entire army inside. Which part did you send them to as I have taken three cities. Full scale invasions such as that should be announced as they are most likely very noticeable.
My bad feel like it still needs to be explained better as to how you invade and such. Where you attack first and how far you've gotten. Since we're both attacking the same country this is important.
You PM me your action, and I'll return a response. Rinse and repeat until we finish. If you two are going to fight each other, then I'll act as the middle man between PM's to ensure a fair fight.
