This thread is for the further development and recruitment of Conquest: Nation Domination. The OP of the primary thread is always up to date and will provide all information needed.
Once we begin, this thread will shift towards a planning and current events purpose.
As stated in the Subject, a string of more than three off-topic posts will lead to a ban from play, moderation, and considerable disciplinary action.
The RP forum has been cracked down on, and we need to show we can have fun without going wild.
In other news, I made the port city of Mishagehn. What are your thoughts?

Alright, everyone's getting a bit confused.
You can have one simple Discovery, such as OIL, YES YOU INEPTUS one Alliance, provided it's mutual, or one Declaration of War, provided it's mutual. We've yet to start, which may happen as early as tomorrow.
I just need us a bit more organized.

I approve of this strongly. I won't make the interior of your nation, as I want this to be user driven. Establishing roads and cities is a good step, Ineptus.

Navar's fixed up the old roads of Rome to use as major roads. I don't know how to edit the image to add cities, but we have four major ones the capital is on the green dot under the N, Duraz. Another is where Brundisium used to be it's on the heel of the boot if you don't know where that is, Centi. One is on the far left coast of Sicily, Tacz. The last is built on the foundations of Florence which is in central Italy, Ferans.
Duraz is where the initial council was formed. It is now the central Naval power developing new ships designed for different functions whether it be military, fishing or exploring.
Centi was built as a Naval base to hold off raids from Awecur while Navar was growing. Now since neither country holds hostility it has flourished into a great center of trade and art.
Tacz was the second city built by Navar. It controls the farmlands that cover most of Sicily and Southern Italy.
Ferans is more of a fortress than a city. It is where a majority of the soldiers are trained. They also are second in production of the cannons used by Navar.

advancement: gunpowder? as in muskets? failing that...A rifle LIKE weapon that uses the same mechanics as a slingshot and a locking mechanism. a long rod is used to push the ball and the (rubber bandy things fixed to the front) dow to the bottom of the barrel. where pulling the trigger lifts the lock and rockets the lead shot out of the barrel at incredibly high speeds but is a lot quieter and easier to load than a musket. as well as having no discharge to compensate for a slightly decreased range. had that idea in my head for almost a YEAR. LCK. oil does not give enough power under those circumstances, it is hard to get normal oil to combust. it would launch it maybe three feet at most if you are really lucky. I patent my idea BTW (it would have a REALY long barrel)

no. it looks like a tallarn rifle and uses a rubber-bandy thing to give it enough power to punch through armor. LCK. oil-guns would not be physically possible. the compression ratio is not even enough to send it three inches

It actually would be I believe - but it is by no means practical.
You could have a large combustion chamber funnel into a thin barrel... but it would take large amounts of oil and be cumbersome.

Okay I have a better picture of it now. Also if Karskai doesn't like everyone getting guns and stuff to compete with the cannons I'll give them up for some kind of cool catapult then advance like everyone else

41046
Post by: Kasrkai
Absolutely. As long as it doesn't involve another player, you're free to post about whatever is happening in your nation. I'll always have a hand in the affairs of your nation, so keep me somewhat in the loop. And, when an event or action passes, in or out of your nation, feel free to express "in-character" as to what you do or think. PM system is going to be used for nearly everything, but that doesn't mean I'll dictate what happens everywhere. In fact, such posts would be great for keeping in character and give it more depth.

We pick on you because we love you. And you will be easy pickings.
You get to have CRUDE CANNONS due to your defensive design, while Taros gets CRUDE FIREARMS, due to the mobile nature of his army and desire for advanced tech, so you both have blackpowder. Those are you guys' advancements. Everyone else (Besides Ineptus, who discovered oil.) has yet to pick an advancement, however Bringer wants a jump start on the engine, which may take a while.

Kasrkai, would it be possible for there to be a mix of dwarves and trolls in my nation? Now that I think of it, I think dwarves would make so much more sense... or possibly a half-breed of dwarf-trolls?

Yep, I'd like to update my information to:
People: Cave trolls and drow
Government: Similar to feudal system, the seven heads of the country are dark elves.
Ruler: 7 Lords or Ladies, first child of the current ruler becomes the next.
Economy: Livestock are abundant on the surface, and are a major export. The trolls are either miners or blacksmiths.
Tech: Underground specialization, Troll basic metal weapons, Drow fine weapons and luxuries.
Military: Massive Draft, +7 Invincibles
History:
Aren, Aszmyn, Veryn, Tatlon, Sabryn, Jhaunae, and Raebeya were seven elf siblings. Their mother was Dranuen, and their father the god Alilrae Tilntarr. They were born in Kasrkaos, and lived in the northwestern region.
They lived in peace and isolation, till one day rumor spread among superstitious wives of their existence, and it was believed that they were demons, destined to destroy Kasrkaos. Rumors multiplied and grew, until one day a bold group of warriors crossed into their home and slaughtered their mother.
The children of Alilrae fled to the west. They found a ship and started a journey to cross the ocean. They sailed and sailed, and finally landed on the island of Drinnshliek, inhabited completely by barbaric trolls - who lived in caves and tunnels that penetrated the entirety of the island.
The children were forced to become masters of the blade to survive in the barbaric land. Their greatest weapons were stealth and cunning. They saw that their father had favored them, and so they built a shrine honoring him, and then swore an oath to each other, that they would for eternity protect each-other and conquer this foul land, making it their own.
That night they each took up their weapons and started a bloodbath, killing every troll warlords and leader they could find. Within a year, they had killed every troll who assumed authority over others - and hell was breaking loose. Trolls were turning on trolls, and every fight was one for survival.
They carved out the island into seven provinces, named after them. They forced the trolls into submission, slaughtering all who disobeyed their orders - however the trolls soon came to respect their dark-elf masters. Though the trolls were stronger than them, the drow had infinitely superior cunning, finesse, and beauty.
Alilrae blessed the brothers and sisters with long life, and gave them each a husband and wife from amongst his other children.
The drow siblings died after a few centuries. Their children took the same oath they did, swearing to protect eachother even if it led them to their own death. Down through the ages they perfected the art of swordsmanship and manipulation. They could make a man kill himself if it was their will, and they could strike down small armies by themselves. - and their troll underlings grew less and less warlike.
The drow and trolls live in caves, tunnels, anywhere where darkness was greater than sunlight. They let predators and herds roam the surface, coming up and slaughtering them for food whenever they need them.

If this is set after WW3, then would their be huge deserted cities and such?
Or is this like so far into the future....its the past!!!!!!!!
As to the tech, would it advance in the same way as humans? Or differently...like anything we like but evolves over time.
Like:
Stick - Stick with poop - Really long stick with poop - Throwing stick with poop
41046
Post by: Kasrkai
It's set about 900,000 years AFTER WWIII. Meaning new races have evolved, and all cities and towns have been eroded away and destroyed. However I have a few scattered vaults of preserved artifacts, which may or may not jump a nation's tech. As I said before, this is an EXTREMELY delicate scenario, and could change the tide of every battle and every alliance.
More or less similar to human advancement, but big nations appearing so fast will lead to a demand in advancement beyond what we had needed back then, so we will advance a tad quicker.
On another note, the system I was to use for battle is starting to sound boring. It was more or less turn based with a random, tech, size, and morale modifier for every action.
Is that okay with everyone, or should I just use a "This guy would probably win" system?
EDIT: In other news, A NEW CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED. With Shoud010 here, we should be plenty full for a good game. That is, when Mordo gets stuff done!

GEBRA the three walled city of Gebra is the second most well defended city in the entire country of Harad. its walls are a staggering 20 feet thick and wave rails mounted on them for the movement of the ballistae and catapults on top. the second wall is only 15 feet thick. but mounts massive trebuchets on it. adding long-range firepower to the list. the third is a 20 foot thick highway, in which the city proper is enclosed. soldiers man the outward sidewalks as pedestrian traffic uses it to move around the city.off from it are four roads going in a cross shape. dividing the city into four parts. at the center is the keep, wherein lives the governor. the docks are accessed via a small road leading to the smaller town of Lanyard. only some 200 meters from the outer walls map of the city going up soon.

What are you waiting for me to do?
The Founding of the Empire of Tarvo
Seven hundred years ago, the land of Callaka (modern day Tarvo) was populated by dozens of warring barbarian tribes that cared little for the trappings of civilization. Numerous disparate city-states lay scattered about Callaka, content to war with one another over small glories. There was one man, however, of the Tarvii who possessed visions of an empire. That man was Abelard, and he possessed the manpower and cunning to bring his dreams to fruition. Leading his warriors into battle against the Ostrogi, the Talii, the Vesterlans, and dozens of other Callakan tribes, Abelard assembled the Grand Host, which he took to the plains of Ukr and beyond, leaving cities smashed and villages emptied. The Ukr Wars lasted for eight years, and saw a unified Tarvo emerge from the ruins of dozens of city-states. Abelard understood that if his Empire was to survive, he needed to keep the numerous slave states in line. Thus was the Consul created to ensure that each such state was overseen by a loyal Tarvii warlord. Five more years passed, and Abelard grew restless, feeling the call to war once again. Raising the Grand Host to war, he marched to the end of the sea, subjugating the various peoples that dwelt there. His conquest at an end, Abelard was purported to have wept, for the world was his, nothing could challenge him. He then bade his shield bearer to kill him, for he saw no point in living without the thrill of conquest. As the warrior raised his sword, an arrow pierced his heart, launched from heathen bow. Warriors from modern day Nytheria had landed their vessels on the shore, and had begun to pepper the Grand Host with arrows. Abelard was both overjoyed and enraged, there were still those that opposed him, his empire had not united all as he had thought. The next decade was marked by brutal fighting as the Tarvo invaded Lehmania (modern day Nytheria in an event known as the Battle of the Red Sea, as the ocean itself ran red with the blood of attacker and defender alike. Abelard himself burned down the sacred groves of the Lehmanians, an act that enraged the natives, who retaliated brutally in the Battle of the Mohrn, and nearly dislodged the Tarvo from their island home. The Tarvo pushed back with alarming speed and cruelty, dragging Lehmanian prisoners behind their chariots by their entrails. When Abelard captured the capitol of Avernod, he ordered every Lehmanian prisoner to be tied to a stout wooden pole. Abelard then rode past the great line, decapitating every prisoner with a stroke of his sword. Lehmania now under Tarvo control, Abelard made to return to Callaka, but died from a fever on the return trip. Decades later, the Tarvo began to lose control of their slave-states in Lehmania and those on the coast, and a bloody civil war raged as the Consul slaughtered the rebels. Tarvo won the conflict, but lost a great deal of land as a result, a loss they have not recovered from to this day. Today, however, King Kassius IV has assembled the Grand Host once again, and means to restore the Empire of Tarvo to its former splendor.

Much appreciated, my map is rather crude and basic. I'll do an intro post of sorts that describes Tarvo's attitude towards the rest of the nations.

Abelard must weep. He took an army to from Callaka and marched to the ends of the earth, until there was nothing left to conquer. Tarvo once enveloped the entire world in its majesty, but now, now we are nothing compared to the glorious days of old. But we have not been deaf to the rumblings of war that echo from the south. We are not blind to the unwashed hordes that throw themselves at our gates. The Grand Host must ride again. The filthy tribesmen of Awecur seek to drive us into the sea, let them try, we will drown them in their own blood, our legions will erase their name from history. The Haradrim, the desert people with their strange gods and customs. They too will kneel to Tarvo, in time. One way or another. The Raindomtopians, rainbow-worshipping barbarians, they may prove useful in the battles to come, viable mercenaries and scouts. Navar, the nation of mystics and dreamers, they posses an item of interest that must be ours. Nytheria, the once home of the Lehmanians, now under the rule of a trusted ally. All will bow to the rightful rule of the Tarvo, whether by the sword or by the quill.

Naval: Friendly/sheltered
Awecur: Cold/aggressive
Drinnshleik: Underhanded/patient

Tarvos: White Russians.

“Our armies on the far coast report mild problems with the barbarians, my lord, but those are easily amended,” Said the kneeling messenger from the floor of the throne room. Kadram maintained a neutral expression. “How so?” He asked. The messenger stood from the dusty floor and unfurled a scroll. “General Ishmael reports this, in his written report. ‘Five tribes opposed us in our landing, but the archers and Mahud* saw them of. They came own the next morning upon seeing our Orc warriors bulding their huts. And swore allegiance to us. They seemed to think we were able to bind daemons to our wills, it is my theory that they have not encountered the Hardy Greenskins before.’ That is all” finished the messenger, rolling up the scroll, Kadram allowed himself a prideful smile. “Commend the general, also have one Captain Vrashku be promoted to major for the successful pacifying of the L’onmar peoples of the Western jungles.” As the messenger and royal guards left, Kadram walked over to the northern balcony. And looked out over Al-Kalhi, city of 1000000 people. And past, where just in the distance from the top of his ‘Spire of Gods’ he could see the sparkling gulf of Sindabar. The peoples beyond these waters were strange. The Docile people of Drinnshliek, the noble knights of Navar, the raucous Pirates of Awcur, the brutal tyrants of Tarvo, the pagans of Raindomtopia, and the as of yet, unknowen denizens of Kasrkos and Nytheria. The world, new advancements, new species, so much potential. But nothing can happen without armies clad in the trappings of battle, and of all people, the Haradrim knew this the best… *Mahud: elephant riders (in reality only about four soldiers can fit on an elephants 'castle') it is a real word in fact.

The council of Navar met once again in Duraz. Their neighbors were getting more aggressive especially Tarvo to the North. Some members led by an ork representative wanted to answer the aggressions with the cannons of their ships, but Head Councilman Nicholas quieted them with a reminder of the values that had founded there nation. The peace of their freedom would only be possible if trade flowed, without trade Navar could not prosper. Until it was absolutely necessary to do otherwise, they would continue to be open to the world. Yet any injustice to it's people or allies would be met with the with the might of their armies. And when justice is dealt and the enemy left broken only then will they be allowed once again to be worthy of their own freedom.

1. Map to be updated in a moment.
2. We all know how it works, right? Post public actions and fluff, PM private actions and fluff, and I'll take care of conflicts and events?
Not to say urdoinitwrong, 'cause that's about exact.

I have an idea.
War heros like random soldiers in battle they are more of a morale booster then like as super soldier. You make one up but they can get killed ether by assasin or complete destruction of the army.
