I'm from Poland, and I'm new on DakkaDakka Paint since 2006.
I won many polish competitions. In this year was my first Golden Demon competition and I won two demons. Gold on Duel category, and Silver on a 40K Single Miniature Here you have some pics
@MeanGreenStompa: yes, I used airbrush on first layer.
Unfortunately I don't have any tutorials with pictures, but check my blog, soon I will upgrade some tutorials.
And about your question, one troll is muted, because I want to show a contrast between trolls. One troll (green one) has a fish which he catch before, and muted troll is trying to pick the fish from him. Thats why he's muted, because he is probably bad troll.
I know that probably every trolls are bad, but this one muted troll is also idler I hope that you know what I mean
Beautiful work camelson, i've seen your work before on Coolmini and have been really fond of it since i saw it, you have such a distinct style that almost appears 'drawn' and the quality is so smooth I can't fault any of it! the tones, bases, poses, everything about your mini's is top notch work, i'm glad you've come to dakka to share with us your talents and show us things to aspire to!
This stuff is amazing. Obviously. And, lol, i mean, you won a gold golden demon man, do we really neeed to be commenting on your minis on dakka dakka?? Of course im only teasing, and if you do have more work please post it for our eye candy

Wow!!! Love the models! You know, you are one of the those painters who make those of us who say "I'm not bad at painting" cry!!!! Cannot wait for your tutorials etc.!
The colours of the cloak are beautiful. Good choices, dude!
Not sure if i like them next to the blue and cream to be honest but i'd like to hear, out of interest, why you chose to put them together on one model?

don't know why I just did it because I like these colours
how much do you paint by airbrush and how much do you paint by with your brushes?
i looked through your blog and your CmoN and i like EVERYTHING!!!
only thing i have to comment is that € 40,- per mini for a whole army will get pretty expensive. i mean your a great painter but standard troops don have to be painted to GD quality right?
for characters or display models its an excellent price, but if your not getting a lot of orders you might wanna scale your prices like:
Characters/display models: € 40,- each
Vehicles: € 40,- each
Monstrous models: € 35,-
"terminator scale" models € 25,- each
"space marine scale" models € 15,- each
this is just an example ofc. but it is something to think about i think. and troops dont have to be the highest quality available. and you can ofc make diffent deals if people want elaborate stuff or have specific wishes.

Yeah, troop models should not cost you 40€.... someone with a GK force will gladly pay you 40€ per model, but someone playing footguard.....
on the other hand, 40€ is too little for a hero model with GD quality. Make heros more expensive!
€ 40,- price is for simple troop SM on high gaming lvl. Airbrush, with shading and painting edges.
So unit of 10 SM will cost you a € 400,-, but unit will be on high gaming model with the same bases athmosphere etc.
Vehicles, monsters, and HQ are little more expensive because they need more work.
HQ from € 65,- + the same with the rest.
Anyway. If you have an SM army on 1000 points - you will have beautiful painted army for:
do you also buy the models for that kind of money?
or maybe you can make your paint services a little bit more accessible by having different prices for different lvls of quality.
take your example above, 1000 points for € 1830,- GDlvl step down to display quality paintjob for € 1500,-
scale it down to high tabletop quality and make it € 1200,-
good tabletop quality for 1000,-
etc.
again its just a suggestion... if there are loads of people ordering from you for 1830,- just keep it at that price. why have people pay less if they agree on paying more right??
Golden demon lvl 1800 euro for 40 models?
Man it could take me about a year or more to paint 40 models on that lvl
That what I proposed is not a table top lvl. I can paint model on 3 colours on simple base with only sand for 15 Euro per model. But I give you a good quality of painting
Amazing what a difference background color makes to certain minis...
It looks great as always, my only criticism is the arabesque's on the back of the banner, they look a bit rough and aren't up to your usual standards... only really stick out because everything else looks so great...
The only thing that looks off here is if you look at the big toes you should notice a ring that goes around them. Not sure if this was missed but it looks like it holds the guy there (more balancing then anything else), thing is that the ring is painted that same color as the feet.

Compared to everything else it is not that noticiable, it is just that I was in Intel for the US Navy and was trained in Imagery, where I look for tanks and other small objects from satelite photos. Considering on a good day I would get pictures of tanks a 1/3rd the size of the foot of that DE yea I can pick out details.
I've seen a fair amount of death guard in my tiem while playing 40k but you make them look amazing. Gw's way of painting makes them look cartoony and really dumb. You make them look actually really good.
nazartp wrote: Great work and excellent photography. Lighting is done just right. Congratulations on the wins! One of better winning entries I've seen recently.
unfortunately, this marine don't get even finalist pin
Your work is definitely worthy of the Golden Daemons you won.....and congradulations on the awards. Your paint work is flawless. I love the colors you choose, the way they blend and compliment each other so well. Those terminators are just amazing looking. Love the conversion work, the colors and how you have painted them with a lightsource in mind....they just look stunning. The freehand work on the shoulders is really impressive. I really am finding it hard to find adjectives to describe the calibur of these paint jobs.....simply superlative sir!
Today I present you my version of Interrogator-Chaplain Seraphicus, from Warhammer 40K new starter set.
This mini is hard limited!
It is for sale and you can bid it on eBay here!
Well there is definently no doubt that you are a GD winner. Nice blood work on the Hellbrute... I new you would hit him up next.... Dark Vengance are the newest of the new, Are you going to GD those new Chaos models too?
That is by far the coolest Hellbrute I've seen yet. I suspect my opinion will not have changed two or three years from now. Truly humbling how well you paint. Great stuff.
Nevie wrote: What paints do you use for the greens on your terminators? I really like how they came out and want to try something similar for my plague marines
Awesomely awe-inspiringly awesome! Surely amongst the very best painted miniatures in any scale I have ever seen. Inspiring but over overwhelming - sadly I know I will never ever be able to paint like that.
Freehand on that dread is superb. Think my favourite has to be the wraithlord though, that is weathering on beast mode. Only slight niggle is that Horus' eyes seem to be a bit crazy but that's probably the camera angle, I'm not even close to being able to critique your work. Thanks for sharing the eye candy!
