Automatically Appended Next Post: my kabal is the bloodied voices but i am trying to think of a different name that rings true to me.
the archon i would love to have greek roots in there since in my eyes eldar are greek and the imperium is roman
If your cabal often uses harlies then name your archon (in a bastardized manner) after Aeschylus or Thespis, and the cabal as a whole something involving comedy and tragedy. Like the cabal of sorrowful laughter or something.
If it doesn't involve harlies, then it should, just so you can do what I said above and I don't have to think about it again.
i like the name for the archon, oddly enough i used this name gernarator for a kabal
bloodied voices i was very pleased
http://rumandmonkey.com/widgets/toys/namegen/15223/ i typed in david bowie and got the name
i do plan on using harlies in my army to go with the name of the kabal
How 'bout a name for a very cult-ey (Like robes n' stuff) chaos warband split from the Death guard? And the leader is a powerful daemon prince, with the warband's main colours being black, dark green and brown.
You know, O great dreadlord......who was that first ork to yell WAAGGHH? According to you sig, his name would now be Squishy, or Smooshed, but I wonder.....
that name is something nice, my little brother is starting a imp fist based army. Maybe i will design him his own chapter with a imp fist color scheme, either way a roman syle name for his Force commander would be rather helpful.
hey i am working on a chaos force now that my dark eldar are finished. I am going word bearers, i am trying to think of a name for them something involving woreship of any of the dark gods i know that their leader is name Kor something after Kor Phaeron. babylonian will do fine for the culture to draw from.
why thank you,
I quite like The Divine Blades. has a nice ring to it,
although.. I do have the colors for Kerry the Rainbow Marine, and imagine the look on my enemies face after being defeated by the Anal Invaders. well, they'll be astonished enough if I beat them with a DA army anyhow.
Bouncing idea's off you for fan fiction btw, I may use morphed versions of yours.. perhaps not, at least you got me thinking about them. Here's some more challenges:
1. Chinese Rogue Trader.
2. Korean Rogue Trader.
3. Tallaran assassin.
4. Sudanese (African) mercenaries: (3)
5. 10+ Disposable Valhallan and /or Vostroyan soldiers (of all ranks). The more the better.
Have at it. Open suggestions welcome, you may or may not see your character in some fiction in the future.... after all, as you may be able to tell, this is just a small fraction of whose already on the list....
How about an Alpha Legion shell company space marine chapter (something that to the average person wouldn't sound malicious or chaosy, but to an Alpha Legion member says "Here we are, Alpha Legion hideout, meeting place and general source of malcontents next exit.") and an Alpha Legion chapter master who's code name is "the Master of Shadows".

I'll try to help him out a little. The place could be The Snake Pit and the Chapter Master Gohtek Ker.
As for Dimitri 1. Chinese Rogue Trader- Lin Wei
2. Korean Rogue Trader- Jin Kim
3. Tallaran assassin- Ablahdura
5. 10+ Disposable Valhallan and /or Vostroyan soldiers (of all ranks). The more the better. Oleg, Osip, Maksim, Rurik, Lev, Ivan, Raisa, Galina, Natasha, Irena, Lara, ZIna.
Cheers Squig for the help. Maybe you take over for a few days, i'll post again when I want to start up again. Got swimming commitments and other stuff so yeah
Decio wrote: ^ Oh cool, you can help. If it isn't too much trouble, could you help with naming some Macharian guys?
(Macharius and his close followers)
Just need 5-10 names if possible.
I don't know much about Macharius. What sort of naming convention do his forces follow? I'll guess Roman, so here goes. Aemenid Aretius, Marcus Ostellus, Raphael Tius, Kellius (kee-lee-us) Brax, Libus Baernus. Hope that helped
And I believe you just answered your own question. But if you want something, hows about the Green Baron? Unless that puns already been made, in which case go with Stumpy da Sky Git
Fallen Dark Angel who has been running from justice for the last 5000 years, and seeks redemption from the Emperor. He leads a small band of renegades consisting of another astartes, an imperial commissar, a psyker running from eldar hunters, a former imperial citizen who happens to be a mechanical genius, a Storm Trooper guardsman, an orphan girl, and a war hound.
not sure I want to go the Indulgence path though..I do like Iridescent better than luminescent though
maybe something like Angels of Iridescence...or Angels of Indulgence...I think that's it...I'm not sure about the words together but seperately (one or the other could work)
or would Angels be too cliche? = P Thanks Dreadlord...bouncing ideas is always a good.....idea
Back on-topic, I'm always in need of eldar names (male and female), would it be possible to list a number of names here for me to use when necessary so that I don't have to wait a day for each name in future please?
I was thinking more when you think of one, write it down then post them all after a while, perhaps. The more the better, I'd like five or more if possible.
im having trouble with naming my world eaters warband, who are led by Ares enyalius Kaine, and his second in command, cruedelis dominus de mortis.
also a world eater who has a chainblde attatched to his arm from the elbow down, and is a gladiatorial world eater. he is more animalistic than most, and sadistic.
@ CE- No problem, I'll try and think of something.
@ Df- The lord Florence, everything else- The Machine. Sorry I had to. What about The Stalwart King as your lord, The Sun's Shame as your NS, and Flesh Eaters for scarbs
Thanks but I actually found one. The Dark Masters. I know its chliche, but I really do like it. Although The Crusaders idea di worm its way in, my Lord is called the Shadow
Hi, could i have a name for my world eaters please? their based on gladiators, with different sections named after different types of gladiator, and their led by Crudelis Dominus DeMortis, Charkus Gorefeaster (thanks to theangrysquig!!) and Areyz Enyalius Kaine.
Now, take the two terms or words you've rolled and put them together. For example, I rolled a 9 for the first table and a 3 for the second table, so my Chapter's name is IMPERIAL ANGER.
Step Two
Generate an army composition. This is to determine what kind of warfare your Chapter specializes in, if any. Roll 2d6 and apply your results to the table below. Then roll again and apply your result to the table below again.
I rolled a 3 on this table, so that means the IMPERIAL ANGER Chapter usually fights defensive, siege oriented battles. Then I rolled again and got a 6. So, the IMPERIAL ANGER defends Imperial bastions by infiltrating the enemy and outmaneuvering them. How a group of 8 foot tall human super-soldiers would be able to infiltrate anything besides Chaos Space Marine ranks is up to the imagination.
Step Three
Now we determine what effect the geneseed has. Roll 2d6 and apply your result to the table below.
I rolled a 4. This means that the IMPERIAL ANGER Chapter, which specializes in infiltration based defense, has a geneseed that makes them canine in appearance. This makes infiltration even harder.
THERE YOU HAVE IT! IN JUST THREE EASY STEPS YOU'VE GENERATED A BEAUTIFUL SPACE MARINE CHAPTER!

Sorry I missed this
I know you wanted gothic so how about... The Skull Crusade or the Crusading Skulls or something like that?
Name 1,000 Imperials by Halloween - with no repeats of either first or last name!
Can be:
Priests, Inquisitors, Lords, civilians, SM's, SoB, IG, Navy, Ad Mech, or any other member of the IoM. You may, if you wish, add the homeworld next to the name if you desire. (the worlds of course may be repeated)
Cannot be: Gibberish - everyone must be able to reasonably pronounce it.
Here's a strange request for you, DreadlordME (or whoever else wishes to answer it), but I currently need a name for a dwarf who happens to be a mage (yes, you read that right and yes, I am mad, but there's a dwarven mage), and they also need a fairly draconic name. Yes, I know that dragons and dwarves don't go well together, and magic and dwarves don't go well together, but there you go, and it's probably why I'm struggling with a name as well.

My desire to hate on your fanfiction is conflicting with my belief in everyone having their own fair shake at interpreting the world.
It's not fanfic. It's an RP I'm doing, nothing to do with warhammer, and this character has a very legitimate reason to be the way he is.
Be glad at least that it's not a female dwarf.

...Dwarven mages totally exist. They just turn into stone as they get more powerful, at least in Warhammer Fantasy. The only setting I've ever seen that's got a set in stone inherent ban on dwarf mages in general is Dragon Age, and that's ignoring whatever the heck Sandal is.
Eh, in this setting he's the only dwarven mage yet. And thanks for the name TAS, I'll use Kahraz though I'm not so sure about the second name :/
But thanks, I'll think of something.
A comical Vostroyan name for a vostroyan Firstborn trooper with a shotgun, a gas mask, and a large hat would be great. Some pardoy of a famous Russian's name would also be fine.
I know I'm asking for quite a few recently, but would it be possible to give me a name for a leader of a tribe of barbarians (and perhaps a few of his friends) on a tribal planet just outside of the imperium please?
hey, i know i've asked for a name before, but this is for a different character:
the first acolyte of a word bearers warband, who was the child of some davinite warrior priests.he was taken on their request by the word bearers legion, mainly Kor talethic, my dark apostle, and became a space marine.now he is a vehement, fanatical devotee to the chaos gods and to his dark apostle. he, like his dark apostle, believes that it is his duty and mission to bring 'enlightenment' to the imperium of man and help mankind to 'ascend' via the worship of chaos, just like lorgar originally set out to do when he first embraced the gods.

Some big menacing dude, also the one who carries standard

any help appreciated.
Karo Foi. Not sure how I feel about the last name though
i still love the name of my first archon, but i am going to be painting a new one to go with the kabal of the bloodied voices.
He is the head of a low commoragh kabal that has slowly pulled other kabals into it more as a the enemy of my enemy is my friend kind of logic. Besides that he is absurdly ugly and loves opera, compares himself to a monkeigh Victorian noble, his elite warriors have their armour burned into their flesh.
So he is narcissistic, psychotic, arrogant to the extreme (other DE actually think he is arrogant), and ugly beyond belief. Preferably Mediterranean in basis for the name.
Hmm. I fancy making up a name. Sounds quite fun, if I can think of something. All I need is a request for a name that isn't human...
Ah! here's one!
Guilldog wrote:A tau shas'el that has something to do with ice
Shas'el [Enter Native Sept] Saiok Ot'vai, generally known as el'Saiok
I'd expect the Sept to be Bor'kan, as they have white armour for fighting in snow.
Translate any of the extra names as something to do with ice if you want, for example "icebreaker".
Add Mont'yr to the end if he has a bonding knife.

Latin-ish names are supposed to be the province of the Imperium, I thought...

They are but eldar can name themselves or have a name they are called by others, since he sees himself as a victorian noble i am willing to use latin or italian names instead of the standard eldar names.
Looking for a name for a female chaos lord with a power axe and/or lightning claws, second in command of a khorne chaos warband and riding a bike. Thanks in advance
Kor Torhaeros was perfect for my long put off CSM addition to my model case. Now i need a warband, anything involving woreship should do just fine.
Zealots check, willing to kill other WB warbands/host becasue they werent religious enough check. Flames based warfare is their primary strategy as if they took a page from the salamanders style of warfare.

If you could come up with 12 different ones that would be great.
Hmm. I don't know if anyone here's amazing with egyptian names, but this generator seems to be alright. Here's a few examples it just gave me: Nefertum, Nizam, Baruti, Ufa, Amsi, Aten, Serapis, Funsani, Gahiji, Khufu, Naeem, Tor.
Enjoy!
Also a Khorne Lord (on a juggernaut)
A Night Lord...Lord (also with a penchant for cc)
A Tzeentch Lord
and a possessed aspiring champion.
Thanks in advance
Fhaalt Moerdzeik (can be screamed ragefully)
Starkuz Falguur (can be mysteriously narrated slowly by a deep-voiced man)
T'cze'ka'rz'de'jha'te -or- if you want a funnier, joke one: Ba'bd'de'tcha'cha'master!
Hope this helps!
If you wanted more specific names, feel free to ask.
Could you do a Latin-esquire name and title for my PH EC Captain? Eg bob bacon, banished of hangovers or Chuck Smith - nachoifier ( but serious and badass sounding)

Librarian: Odisseon Nikas
Ordo Xenos Inquisitor: Qestor Rhodes
Master of the Hunt: Kaas Volarduin
I'll finish up the last 2 in a few hours, have a class to go to.
What about a name for a Space Marine chapter full of tech savvy combat specialists, basically if you took the Salamanders and combined them with the Raptors/ Raven Guard?
-Iron Saints (same idea as below, but bringing the tech to where it is needed, hence the 'saints')
-Iron Ascendants (to represent the higher-levels of tech they use)
-Ascendant -Weapons- (use Blades, Lances, Maces, etc. to fill in for whatever you want)
-Architects/ Artisans of Nobility?
If you want more suggestions without 'iron' or something related to being godly, please enquire further.
hmm... perhaps something without Iron. As cool as Iron is, I think it's a tad overused in 40k, plus it's an old metal, my chapter is all about the new hotness in terms of tech and... well, everything. I am fond of the "Ascendant" and "architect" parts.
