This is again one of those "recruiting" threads, which you have seen quite a lot in the forums. Now its based on Warhammer fantasy battle universe, instead of wh40k. The group names are unimaginative so I'll take any suggestions on how to make them sound better.
The Crimson Blades are a Khorne worshipping Chaos warband lead by the infamous Arakhal the Ever hungering. Arakhal has lead his tribe many times into war against the foolish rat people, empire and dwarfs. And many times he has been victorious. Now that the storm of magic has come, Arakhal has been forced to lead his army deep into the maelstorm, to please his master Khorne. Defeat is not an option. Arakhal will end the storm and bring the Old Worlds nations to his knees, or die trying. After all, Khorne doesn't care where the blood flows.
Positions marked (***) and have no name, are free. Fill in the character sheet, and I will add you to our growing group.
Each mark represents how much glory you have gathered. The more marks you get, the higher in rank you progress. Marks are allowed for insane slaughtering of enemies or battles against other champions.
Example character sheet:
Name: Arakhal the Ever hungering
Position: Chaos Lord of Khorne
Bio: Arakhal was just a ordinary marauder of his tribe, until he decided to test his luck and venture into the chaos wastes. Arakhal found many powerful enemies and slew each one of them, until he usurped the slumber of an old and mighty chaos dragon. Arakhal was laid low, his body broken and weapons destroyed. Arakhal should have died that moment, but then he was visited by a vision which promised power and glory, in exchange of eternal servitude. Arakhal accepted, knowing that refusal would only bring death. In an instant Arakhals bones re-knitted, flesh cured and mind was possessed by infinite rage. The chaos dragon breathed magical fumes at him, which only seemed to further anger Arakhal. Arakhal grapped his broken blade and charged the dragon. The duel was titanic, but in the end Arakhal was able to manouver under the dragons belly and cut its chest open. Then Arakhal grapped its beating heart, ripping it out and consuming it. The dragon came crashing down, Arakhal standing triumphant on top of it. It is said that he was possessed by the dragons spirit, for he grew large scales, gained unholy strength and everflowing wisdom. Overtime, Arakhal quickly rose through the ranks of his tribe and gained the favour of Khorne. Now he has gained lots of gifts from his terrifying god, and strives to bring the Old World under his knees and eventually gain demon-hood. He is a emotioneless man. Only the heat of battle brings a smile to his face. He seeks for a quarry that would be a match against him, but still he hasn't found one. To him, humans are weaklings and the world just a place to be controlled. None will stay his wrath.
Description: A large man, whos eyes blaze with unholy fire. Every inch of his skin is covered in armour, and he carries the skulls of his slain foes with him. He rides atop a mighty, snarling Juggernaut. Large symbols of his gods patronage adorn is armour and he carries a blood soaked axe.

Arkhal has taken many sorcerers with him for he knows that the best way to fight against magic is with magic. These are sorcerers are nothing more than slaves to him. Each one of them is bounded by a runed collar which shuts down their abilities to channel the winds of change. Arakhal can lift this burden with just a whisper, allowing the sorcerers to use their might against the enemy. If a sorcerer even thinks about betraying Arakhal the runed collar starts to glows bright red, burning the sorcerers neck until its users head falls off.

On a long journey he saw a large force of chaos warrior instead of warning the city that was going to be attacked he joined their cause he started to work on sorcery and began to worship nurgle. When the attack came to be the force followed his lead while this happened Sam betrayed his force and led to their death by a army of plague bearers after the death of that weak mortal army. Name: Sorceress Lok'tah
Age: 130
Bio: Born in the northlands she was raised to worship the chaos gods and she was gifted with many powers. She recieved many gifts as she'd slain many enemies of chaos, one of those gifts is everlasting life. Another one of her powers is to change her apperance to seduce less willful men. She also has the power to change into the form of a daemonette when she pleases, making her a very powerful close combat opponent. Arguably her most incredible power is to summon daemons of the warp such as daemonettes. She joined the Crimson Blades when she was attacked by them. Their bezerkers slayed all her daemonettes and left her a choice... Swear on Slaanesh to serve them or die. Thus she joined the crimson blades, a slave to their will.

Oh this I can most definitly see myself as a member of.
Name : Zharvor Darkmane
Position : Exalted Champion Of Khorne
Bio : Zharvor Darkmane was born amongts the Kurgan tribe, he was the youngest son of the chifthan of the tribe. Due to his smal frame and lack of psyichal strengt as a child he was the riddicule of the tribe. All however changed whent he young boy reached hte age of sixteen, on that faitful day his named was carved with blood into the stories of his tribe. The tribe came under a gruesom attack by the deranged followers of the god Slaanshi, while his kin either died or became enthraled by the archane tricks of the sorceror leading the attack. He stood unaffected by this, the boy who never had been noticed by his kin took up a fallen warriors axe and trew himself at his foes, the youngling struck amongst the derpraved Slaanshi worshipers like a bear amongst sheep. He cleaved skulls and hacked limbs of before beeing run true by a warrior who thougth he had stopped the crazed boys rampage. But as the blade was pushed further into his body the boy felt a surge of unholy vigor flow true his veins. With a howl of defiance he trust himself clear of the jagged blade, and with a savage backhand stroke burried his axe in the chest of his foe.
After that day the tribe followed the boy, who by now had become a giant of a man. His eyes are like those of a bloodcrazed beast, and those who walk in his stepps know to keep well away when his bloodlust is up. He is clad in dark Hellsteel armour and wields a longsword and a warhammer crafted from bronze and steel temperd in blood.
Only one man can claim to have bested the man known as Zharvor and that is Arakhal The Ever Hungry
Name: Ark'nath the Unwanted
Position: Exalted champion of Khorne, marauder warlord
Bio: Ark'nath was born horribly disfigured to one who served Prince Sigvald. Seemingly doomed to die, he was fortunate enough that his mother did not kill him immediately but left him alone in the wastelands to hopefully be killed by the creatures and monsters that roamed there in. This was not to be as little Ark'nath was discovered by Marauders who believed that his deformity was a sign of being "blessed" by Chaos. Thus he was taken in, seemingly destined for greatness. He did not disappoint. As soon as he began to learn to walk, he showed an inclination and joy at spilling blood. By the age of 12, his bloodlust was so great that the Marauders brought him along with them into raids and battle impressed, awed, and wary of this berzerker that fought alongside them with such fury and enjoyment. Soon he attracted the attention of the Blood God himself who was impressed by this young demon among men and began watching Ark'nath. Ark'nath always kept with him the cloth that he was found with as a child, having been told that he was discovered abandoned, in hopes to find out from whom and whence he came. He soon discovered the truth when his clan clashed with Prince Sigvald. It was a hunting party of sorts, small, and when the Marauders saw them, they decided to pounce. The fight was vicious and Ark'nath himself came face to face with Sigvald who recognized the cloth that Ark'nath wore on his arm and for some reason, Sigvald realized that before him was one who was born to one of his close advisors. Laughing in the face of Ark'nath, Prince Sigvald told him that he was born to one who was close to himself but was discarded as he was hideous, thus "unwanted." Ark'nath, thrown into a rage at discovering the truth, tore of the cloth that was on his arm and viciously murdered all but Prince Sigvald who escaped the Marauders. After the encounter, Ark'nath bellowed to the gods that he would gladly serve any god that would help him destroy Sigvald, Slaanesh, and all those who followed him. Khorne, seeing that Ark'nath was willing swiftly sent Skulltaker himself to confer his blessing upon Ark'nath. Thus Ark'nath became an exalted champion of Khorne, to whom looks and appearances do not matter, just the spilling of blood.
Description: Ark'nath now has his face permanently hidden within his helmet which has fused to his face, an act of kindness by the Lord of Blood. His right hand and forearm has morphed into an axe and in his left he carries a barbed blade meant solely to rip away the flesh of his victims to inspire fear and dread before their final moment. He looks like the following although where there are symbols of Tzeentch there are symbols of Khorne.

All recruits are welcome! Glad to see new lieutenants
Hey Trondheim! You didnt specify what mount or place you wanted to take so I put you as the exalted champion who rides the chariot. He always gets the first blood with his lord
Oh people! We got a new recruit, or a mascot if you're exact. A nice and colourful Cockatrice! Now we just need a name for him/she. Any suggestions are highly appreciated
No as my intened titel, Extaled champion of Khorne. Give me a steed and our foes will weep blood, or if no horse is avalibal I will march to war shoulder to shoulder with the Warriors.
Trondheim wrote:No as my intened titel, Extaled champion of Khorne. Give me a steed and our foes will weep blood, or if no horse is avalibal I will march to war shoulder to shoulder with the Warriors.
And name the Cockatrice Wendy
Im only trying tp recruit warriors for which i have representive models. The chaos knights are my personal retinue, so i dont want any rivalling champions. If you want to march along my footsoldiers then the armies battle standard bearer is available (dont be fooled, that guys blade has carved really many enemy champions asunder)!
Darneth the Dragon Ogre. Darnath the arch-fiend. A name that has been cursed for centuries. Darnath has served the Crimson Blades without question, and is always willing to spill a little blood.
Name: Titicus the Brutal
Position: Chaos Knight of Khorne, champion
Bio: The origins of Titicus remain unknown, except that one day he came into camp upon a steed drenched in blood, offering his services to the Crimson Blades and Khorne. Seeing his proficiency at mounted battle he was quickly assigned to the knights wherein he quickly assumed control of his unit becoming their Champion. Though many were suspicious of what his true purpose may be due to his unknown origins, those suspicions were quickly relieved at the sight of his obvious bloodthirst in battle. However, some still believe that he eyes the throne of Arakhal but for now he is by far one of the most loyal soldiers to Arakhal. He often rides into battle along side Arakhal, quickly and brutally smiting those who would dare try to back stab his lord, though fewer still suspect he intends to back stab Arakhal himself but does not for fear of the wrath and might that would crush him of the three Exalted Champions of which all show unwavering loyalty to Arakhal.
He has been known to show an affinity for weapons collecting many after battles are finished thus holds a massive horde of weapons, all of which he is proficient in the art of. Truly in battle, lesser foes cannot hope to stand against Titicus and his knights, much less defeat them.
Description: He is a tall Knight who dyes his hair with the blood of his fallen enemies, his eyes are ocean blue. He loves competing upon the battlefield with his knights. Often, before battle, he spends time contemplating which of the many weapons he has in his arsenal should he bring with him into his next battle. Here, we behold him in his glory, dismounted with one of his many weapons, his favored and affectionately named, Grim. It is fitting that his blade is named as such for there are rumors that the blade is possessed and drinks the blood and souls of those who fall to it.

To tell the thruth, Im expecting a little deja'vu. The first time I lead my force againt his army, I was defeated as that cursed rat name Thanqu'ol was leading them. Queek killed your former successor, but in the next battle the standard bearer beated Queek in personal battle and drove him out of the battlefield. It was truly glorious.
As people are getting little anxious, I was planing on doing some kind of a event which would repeat every now and then. I would call it "The Challenge of Blades and Wits". People (or more appropiately monster) of our warband can issue challenges against each other, and I'll handle the necessary precautions. The contenders would engage in a 1 on 1 personal duel, with any magic equipment they wish (their cost cant be larger than the allowed points limit of the character). The winner would be announced and gain glory in the eyes of his god. I would also keep an toll about about these victories and when enough glory is gathered, the character will be elevated into higher status (for example: sorcerer=supreme sorcerer lord or exalted champion=chaos lord)
The fights will be played by me and my trusted friends then. So what do you think?
black templar wrote:DO you need help with any thing Epic?
No, not yet, but I will ask if I need any from you then
You mean, "Thank you big bro for putting my ideas down on paper and putting all together in a cohesive manner and then putting them up on DakkaDakka for me."
You know what? I actually took that exact same miniature and put it on the chaos chariot!
Perfect! Now we have the champion places filled! If anyone didn't read one of my last posts which is concerned about our rivally, then I'll repeat it:

Glad to help Shadowsnip! So you pucked the old Skarre mini. I actually own the re-sculpt of her
Name: Nazar the Head Hunter
Position: Khorne Marauder Chieftain
Bio: Nazar was at one time the youngest of 4 sons. All born from the Marauder Chieften and his various wives. Nazar was not the fastest of them, nor the strongest, nor the smartest, but he was the most ambitious. Although not his inherent birthright to become chieften of his tribe, he was determined to do so. Determined to out do his half brothers Nazar continued to display his worthiness as Chief through feats of strength and valour. He continually hunted bigger and bigger game and went on more daring raids. How ever, nothing Nazar did seemed to impress his father, his Father always seemed to faovur his oldest son, Kalthuzan over all the others. Continually going unnoticed made Nazar's anger burn with so much fury it would make a dwarvern forge seem cold in comparison. In his sleep, Nazar butchered his brother Kalthuzan, taking his head and covering the inside off Kalthuzan's tent with his own blood and internal organs. Nazar then continued to kill his other 2 older brother in their sleep, taking their heads and decorating their tents in a similar fashion. The following morning, Nazar presented his father with the heads of his brother, hoping to impress him. His father was not impressed, far from it actually, he was thrown into a rage and pulled out his war axe and attempted to avenge his favourite son. Although Khorne was not openly worshipped in this tribe he was revered. Nazar then and there made a quick silent prayer to Khorne, swearing that if he was made Chieften of the Tribe, that he would dedicate the tribe to Khorne and lead them to spill blood at any opportunity. With a burning rage Nazar struck down his Father before he could even make a swing. He decapitated him and then took his head. The nearby Tribesmen were quite alarmed when they came over to check out what all the ruckus was about. Nazar had effectively made himself Chieften by killing his father and his remaining heirs.
Nazar is to this day fulfilling his promise to Khorne; he made sure the entire tribe is devoted to him and now the marauder tribe has joined the Crimson Blade's in their crusade, their objective, their goal, matters not to Nazar, as long as blood is shed and heads are collected, Nazar, and Khorne for that matter, are happy....
Description: A big burly savage of a man, Nazar is clad in thick smelly flea-ridden furs, his lower arms and axe are caked in dried blood, a barbaric attempt at bluntly showing the enemy that he takes no prisoners. His shield is adorned with the latest heads in his collection, as Nazar continually collects heads and gets tired of carrying around the same old heads all the time.

Though you do want to kill your opponents in long range combat. Nurglish shenanigans are nice. Although I dont expect that Khorne would be delighted if one of his champions would be bested by a lowly sorcerer
Pity, I've never had the skull of an Nurglight sorcerer. I've heard that their shape is out of ordinary. Consider yourself lucky that I need your *skills*.

Arakhal the Ever hungering (The Epic Chaosdude!!!) - Killed the opposing armies Hell pit abomination and then ran down their warp lightning cannon with his chaos knight retinue.
Zharvor Darkmane (Trondheim) - Challenged Queek Headtaker. Cutted him down, but also fell in the combat.
Ulric the Chosen (thenoobbomb) - Ran down a whole unit of clanrats, but got locked in combat by skaven slaves.
Ark'nath the Unwanted (King Pariah) - He and his marauders got a lot of shooting up their asses, until they were engaged by stormvermin. Only he and Nazar survived.
Sam (black templar) - Saved many chaos warriros with his spells, but got shot to pieces by warp-lightning cannon.
Lok'tah (shadowsnip) - Didn't manage to cast a lot. Killed one of the opposing warlocks in a duel.
Titicus the Brutal (Primal Blue) - Reaped glory with Arakhal. Softened the HPA for Arakhal to finish.
Darnath the arch-fiend (Ogryn) - Didn't see much combat. Got shot a lot by magic, but ran down couple of enemy weapon teams.
Nazar the Head Hunter (Phyrexia) - Were the last survivor of his group, along with Ark'nath. Killed an opposing enemy unit champion.
Wyclif (NPC) - Tried to tackle with the HPA, but got charged and run down.
Yep, but after loading dozens of shells against my lonely wizards Why are they lonely, you may ask? Well everything else gets stuck in, so I need something who's able to cast stuff. And besides, they're only slaves...

Damn it! which one will we slaugther?
Wood Elves are squishy, but tricky as hell to catch. Bretonnians on the other hand are fool hearted, but strong in their faith. They also have that obnoxious spirit knight with them...

You better be. And hide well since Khorne doesnt like cowards.
Seems like people are screaming for a battle report, eh? Well good for you, since we are walking right into the heart of the storm. We are having a Storm of Magic match against Orks and goblins, and the opponent promised to bring a lot of bodies to be maimed!
Well until then... I'll be sitting here in my bean bag chair, eating Doritos, watching soap operas... You know, to get me into a bloodthirsty frenzy and all.
*A great boom echoes through the feast hall, as the halls doors are kicked down. A dark figures shadow snuffs out the light of the candles and his terrifying appearance froze the heart of men. Arakhal the Everhungering had returned and now with new skulls to be added to his deitys throne. *What is this...?* A sorcerer stood up but didnt have time to finish his sentence as a huge axe split his skull open, blood pouring from the wound in a great fountain, staining the skin and armour of the nordsmen around.*
I have returned from the chaos wastes and bring glorious tales of bloodshed to you!
Yes people Im back. Sorry that I took so freaking long, but I had some rough exams lately and started a new relationship. I shall post the battlereport afternoon, since my hand aches quite a lot now >.=.<
