My third favourite would probably be the DLC blood dragon armour from Mass Effect 2, with the way that the dragon age symbol is incorporated to the gladiator style shoulder armour it just seems really badass.
My second favourite would have to be the black guard armour from Tron Legacy, I really like the whole faceless, but fearsome look it gives off.
And my favourite sci-fi armour ever would have to be the carbonox armour from the third ratchet and clank game, and the way it just screams "do you really want to fight me?"
Rockerbikie..I love the idea behind Khorne Berserkers, but armour suits with bunny ears... ??? really???!!
Have to agree with the suits from Starship Troopers (the book) as well as the suit from Vanquish. It's so un-PC these days, but the way he flicks a cigarette out onto the ground and then the suit folds out over his head is just awesome.

I have quite a collection of gundams, but I lost my RX-78 when I was about 7, and I never fully recovered. The rest of them aren't as important as him. I know it would only cost like thirty bucks to replace him with a shiny new one, but I loved that toy, haha.
I watched the first five or so episodes of Gundam 00 and now whenever I see a complicated-looking Gundam I automatically get kind of bored. It's Pavlovian.
My list
1. Individual: Kylie Minogue in Silvanemesis Power Armor
Overture of KYLIEFEVER2002 concert tour. too bad i've never been in any gig of that tour. but at then i've became her full fan.
^ What is an inspiration for this suit?
2. Her dancers fron the same concert.
one of my concept art is modeled after the dancer's dress. wanna see the concept art?
3. Vinci Imperial Musketeer. a unit from Rise of Legends
http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/2891/590584-unit_imperialmusketeer4.jpg shet. too big to fiend here so I link the concept art pic instead
not really "Sci fi" because he looks renaissance to me. AFAIK Musketeers don't wear plate armor but may wear helmets. in this concept art and the 3d render as provided in the link shows that the armor has some kind of "powering" mechanism. possibly by springs. but not sure if it actually works ???
In that setting. a faction of Vinci has a technology that resembles WW1 europeans. they might seem to fight that way too!!

Also, for the Armored Suit... Well, you know the series or not (The books are gak, but entertaining), but Captain Geary's armor is dead sexy.
Spoiler:
As is what's in it.
I say this objectively as a perfectly heterosexual male admitting the physical attractiveness of another male to women.
This denial is over-specific and incriminating.
Anywho, I'll second the Templar armor from Hellgate: London, and throw in the bug-eye Hunter armor, too. That game had some decent designs in it.
Soviet Conscripts (Red Alert 2). it seems this unit is equipped for nuclear war. but in game. they don't really walks through radiation contaminated zones. they simply died by radiation meltdown. so easily!
I really like the Starship Troopers M.I. power armor [img]http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/2776/124710871843.jpg

Those look awesome, what book/video/game/cereal packet are they from?

Hey I was going to as the same thing AS IN THE MOVIE THERE IS NO PA. So the question stands where did you get the artwork? Concept art? Devient art? Some videogame? Ceral box? CrackerJack prize?
In the movie the Mobile Infintry act like a bunch of Marines from a John Wayne movie and not the MI from the book which talkes about how they make a man into a MI'er. I don't want this to sound snarkey or anything but where did you find the pics for the MIPA as I think it looks awsome.
To the above post. Exlie Shiro did exile? cool I might have to check it out. I like his take on mecha/powered excoskeletons/landmates/tachi-fuchi-uni-koma's
Femshep's ME2 Armor. Simple, effective, and excellent looking.
Spoiler:
Clone Trooper and Republic Trooper (SWToR/Cold War era). I dunno, I just like the look of it, especially in groups.
That said, the Sith Trooper armor is pretty sweet.
Spoiler:
Shae Vizla's armor is nice and one of the few female armors that is practical.
Spoiler:
As far as actual armor goes, I think I'd go with Jango Fett's as my favorite. Even though they never sport full suits of armor, my favorite look would be the Klingon's armor especially with the trench coat.

I just Google imaged it
I just finished the book for the first time and I loved it.
Off the top of my head I have to go hellghast, love the gritty gas mark look. Come on can't tell me i'm theonly one who want to win the war for the ghast

I support the Hellghasts just because they look awesome
I remember back in the day when i read comics and got to this page I was like awwww sh%^.
Nerd credits for people that know what these are from.
Batman v predator. I still have the 3 issue series.
After batman is blinded (temporarily). He puts on his armour with his sonar (bat-vision) mask (Pred's cloaking field thing only bends light after all).
My vote for armour is stormtrooper armour (but I have a set of it).
Second vote goes to Boba Fett's set of armour (working on it, currently only have helmet).

The problem with the Hellghasts is that they're a shameless ripoff of the Special Unit from the Kerberos Saga.
Wyrmalla wrote:Gantz, Star trek: The Next Generation (presumably) and I can't quite place the batman series, but early 2000's period?^^
The second image is from Dune.
Since when did they have boxy shields in star trek?

Kerberos, as in Jin-Roh (whatever its called) the wolf brigade?
Yep. Jin-Roh is just a single entry in the Kerberos Saga, a collection of media spanning 2 live action films, one animated film (Jin-Roh), and series of comics.

Cause both armors are pretty badass.
Agree with this, don't see why the Hellghast armor being based/ripped off Jin Roh makes it any worse. They both rock and are both German inspired sci fi armor so are bound to similar.

I just see Patrick Stewart everytime I see a balled man. =)
I lol'd.
Thinking about it I also really like the Commando helmet from Halo reach.
Oh and BTW Easy E according to Dune lore shooting a laser at the shield would do precisely nothing. You are thinking of when they shoot a laser inside the shield. Not that that really needed cleaning up lol.

Actually, the intersection of a lasgun beam with a Holtzman field creates an atomic explosion, regardless of whether the beam comes from inside or outside the field. But I digress.
The atomics used to breach the shield wall before the final assualt of Paul Mah'dib on the spaceport was an actual bomb. Not a laser hitting a Holtzman Field.

It's always seemed weird that nowhere in the Dune books I've read does anyone point out that this change effectively means dirt-cheap nuclear weapons.
Laser weapons are cheap. Shields are cheap. (In the appropriate eras, armies are outfitted with each.) Combine one of each in a small crate with some dumb timers and you've got a nuclear weapon without messing around with having to refine tons of ore to get the fissile material.

Doesn't Miles Teg use that exact idea as a weapon against the Honored Matrons?
Or am I remembering things that didn't happen again?

It's possible. I struggled to get through some of the later original books... Although they didn't annoy me as badly as some of the prequels.
