"Since the time of The Fall, our race has been haunted by what we, in our reckless pursuit of hedonistic indulgence, gave birth to. Though our dreams once overturned worlds and quenched suns, we are now but fitful shadows clinging to the edge of existence. All the stars in the sky cannot blot out the hateful glare of the Red Moon's Eye. The birthing place of The Great Enemy pulses with all the malice of a daemon that is dreaming, casting its shadow over all we have ever done and all we ever shall. Every twisted strand of Fate and casting of the Runes leads me to this time, to this place, and it is clear that the final battle awaits me at the ancient Crone Worlds. A conflict the likes of which has not been seen since the Mon-keigh warred amongst themselves, and their corpse of a seer fell to his traitorous son, is coming and all my steps lead towards it, no matter that I walk other paths. I see the stars stained red with the blood of the Mon-Keigh and, though their wars do not concern me and I would gladly let them destroy one another, I know that to avoid this fight is to condemn my race to inevitable doom. And though all I see is darkness, I know that I will not flinch from my destiny."

"We've run into scorpions the size of battle tanks, three men died from Eyerot last week. I've sweat enough to fill a lake, my boots got sucked into a sink-swamp and the trees are so thick in places, you can't squeeze between them. Emperor help me, I love this place! You know, this was a nice thread about people quoting cool things. We don't need your blind patriotism here ruining that. And "running for your life" is just about the only sensible thing one can do when a situation is vastly against you. Only idiots or suicidal people stick around when defeat is certain. Even your precious marines know that. Necrons don't feel emotions now anymore than they used to. Now kindly leave the fanboyism for a thread where it is relevant and on topic.
My favourite quote:
"Adversary, know that your squalid colony rests upon a rightful crownworld of the Novokh Dynasty. Know also that whilst your presence cannot be tolerated, we are bound by code of honour to allow you opportunity to withdraw. You are therefore granted one solar month, commencing at the termination of this transmission, to remove all traces of your presence. If you fail to accept this generous offer, my armies shall conclude these negotiations. We advise you not to mistake honourable warning for lack of resolve." - Ultimatum received by Governor Mendican Harrow of hive world Dhol VI.

He is mentioned right before the text said that the Templars launched their boarding craft into Imptech's ship. I assume that he was also with his Marines on that ship, after all he is one wanting to face him in battle. Now if you still persist that he was not there - you just don't know anything about Templars or Marines in that manner.
My argument is: Necrons are cowards, as Imogirl presented here. It's easy when you have 3x more forces then your enemy, but when facing even or superior army ... well he showed his pride right there.

So, when the Templars retreated from Schrodinger, that made them cowards? There was nothing about the Templars being outnumbered there. Just being tactically outwitted. What about when the Silver Skulls retreated? Are they cowards as well?
Making a tactical withdrawal when you know the outcome of the battle is a loss, is not being a coward, It's being smart. Unless you want to consider Space Marines cowards, because they have made numerous tactical withdrawals throughout their history.

Point of the story: Imogirl is a coward, yes he beat Helberth in combat. But later he run away after he saw the true fury of the Emperor's servant, he is not so full of himself when he doesn't outnumber his enemies.

Ahahahahaha.
No. Try reading the story. Imotekh wanted to stay. Unfortunately he's not able to fight his programming anymore than a human can fight their survival instinct, and his logic engines forced him to retreat because logically defeat was inevitable. I guess all those Marines who retreat from certain death are girls and cowards too. Good to know. Now stop trolling, get back to the topic of the thread or kindly stop talking altogether.

However, it also says that he personally set the collision course of the Inevitable Conqueror, implying that he was on board. Unless the templars managed to hack the necon's systems somehow, he couldn't have done so while sitting on his own ship.
It also says that Imotekh withdrew against his personal feelings, because it was the logical thing to do.
Necron codex page 27, for those who haven't read it.
Another great bit from the new codex:
"I realize that you briefly trod my galleries, but the fact that you spotted in so short a time that my Acabrius War collection was lacking three regiments of Catachan warriors reveals that you truly have a collector's eye for detail. And to send five regiments! Such generosity will allow me to weed out and replace a few of the more substandard pieces in my collection." - Trazyn the Infinite, to Inquisitor Valeria
Coa really you sould actually start reading other peoples post or at least the whole story, oh you know the part where helbrecht himself made a tactical retreat or as you like to call it running like a coward. Plus trying to end the arguament after making a BS statement is stupid.
"The open mind is like a pot for Chaos to piss in"
From one of the Sabat world novels (I believe its the one where one they are protecting the shrine) I forget the characters name but this quote has always stuck with me!
"And what are the achievements of your fragile Imperium? It is a corpse rotting slowly from within while maggots writhe in its belly. It was built with the toil of heroes and giants, and now it is inhabited by frightened weaklings to whom the glories of those times are half-forgotten legends. I have forgotten nothing and my wisdom has expanded far beyond mere mortal frailties"
Ahriman.
"What in the seven hells of Chaos are you waiting for? Personal orders from the Emperor himself? When I say take that damned hill, I mean take that damned hill, not damn well stand around and stare at it! I don’t care if there’s fifty L’Huraxi up there. I don’t care if there are fifty thousand L’Huraxi up there! Our orders are to take that hill and I’m going to damn well take that hill even if it means I have to kill every last one of the purple-skinned giants myself. Damn it, follow me, I’ll show you how it’s done. That’s it, get stuck in there. Medic! Stop whining, Brook, you’ve got another damned leg. D’ya think I cried like a damned new-born when I lost my arm? Course I damn well didn’t. I upped and ripped that damned land shark’s damned throat out with my damned teeth! That’s it, Sergeant Reed, give ‘em some Catachan steel. Emperor’s teeth, their blood stinks. Get that heavy flamer into that trench; flush the damned Grox-heads out. That trench, you idiot, not this one! Oh yes, smell those aliens burn. Smells better than breakfast, don’t it? Give me that damn grenade. Do I have to do everything myself? See? That ain’t proper armour like you’d see on an Imperial tank – no it’s flimsy, fall-down-in-a-strong-breeze, I-hope-they-don’t-spit-at-me armour. I didn’t really mean spit at it! You there! Yes you! Pick up Sergeant Creek’s hand. The medics might be able to stick it on him again later. Don’t stop now, you damned work-shy sons of acid-grubs, we’re only damn well halfway up..."
- Colonel Straken

There is a difference between tactical retreat and running away from combat that Imogirl do. Helbrecht made tactical retreat to strike his enemies later with grater force, Imogirl didn't return and leave his capital ship and his fleet at the mercy of the BT, LOL.
And just because it is not mentioned that Helbrecht was not on Imogirl's ship doesn't mean he was not there, you seriously expect that Chapter Master would lead his brothers in battle from a distance like IG general? Doesn't sound like Space Marine to me, especially Black Tempalr...
And to all of you who are comparing Imogirls running away with Space Marines - tell that to the Ultramrines first company who run away from Tyranids, or Scythes of the Emperor who also run away from Tyranids, or the Emperor's Swords who run away from Necrons. Wait...

Do you even bother reading what people post? At this stage, due to your repeated repetition of debunked arguments, using assinine, immature and frankly stupid nicknames like "Imogirl", and the fact that you started this entire argument by making up a quote when nobody had even mentioned anything on the topic up until then has me convinced you don't even care and are just trolling. Or that you care so much about your little plastic men you actually are frightened to admit they might have flaws, in which case you need psychiatric help.
Either way, welcome to my ignore list. I do not take to trolls lightly.
I see that Necrons players don't take lightly at people attacking their "beloved general", oh well... can't wait for new BT codex then. Or when Imotechs little empire come under attack by Tyranids, Tau, Eldar and Ultramarines
And since people won't even listen I will just drop off any further attempts toward this issue.

The only thing I have seen is that BOTH SM and Necron players don't take lightly to someone saying one of their generals is a coward. So Why don't we drop the subject and stop acting like children.

We all go over our head a little when our favorite faction get's assaulted.
But you are right bombboy. I apologize for every insult that I may generated here on this thread. I was over my head and acting like a child and for that I am sorry.
As for Helbrecht and Imotech, both of them won a single fight against another and let just call them even and leave them there.

"Do NOT think lowly of guardsmen. It's easy for us fight - we are as powerful as a human can be. But Guardsman have to run over the corpses of their friends, and still have the resolve to fire their lasguns. I fear no living enemy. I fear only one possible outcome of all our wars, all our battles, and all our sacrifice: the day when we no longer need guardsmen. Because on that day, my brothers, Humanity's death is assured." -Reclusiarch Lacelles, Eclipse Hawks Chapter.
Lol that quotes awsome makarov. My freind always says that guardsmen are chicken gak, and i always tell him something along those lines(in a much less dramatic way of course). Thats my new fav quote!

Was that a space marine complimenting the IG?

Yes it is. I found it on a youtube video, so it may not be considered cannon/GW approved. But, it sounds cool.
