Yeah,
So I think this thread needs very little explaining.

Say what you want and why.

I want more generic Plastic HQs, so Warbosses, Archons, Libby + Chappy, Meks, Overlords, that sort of thing.

I would like them as not only are they easier to convert than metal and finecast generally have far less flaws than finecast.

I'd say plastic Sisters of Battle - of course.

Mainly so I can make some nice Dragoness Pounceys that I can field with my Sisters of the Flame - who are all humans, being proper Sisters of Battle. I already have more than enough infantry to field my usual lists - not enough for a power armored horde, but I don't run those lists anyways - so if and when plastic SoBs are released, I'd probably get a box or two, just to mix them with Saurus Warrior bodies and heads like I did with some spare Space Marine bitz the other night.

Also, plastic Penitent Engines. Penitent Engines especially, as they are a real pain to put together in metal. Also, I hate picking them up when I'm going to play a game with them, because if they fall, they're gonna shatter and I will be very sad. One of them already broke off at the waist socket, but I fixed it with some superglue. Plastic ones would be lighter, and a little sturdier too. Also, we might get 3 of them in a single box, like what happened with the Killa Kanz.

And all-plastic Exorcists, well, let's just say that I get nervous when I pick mine up from the display case in my bedroom, and carry it down the hall to the gaming room when it comes time to use it. Because if I drop it, which I eventually will, it will either break parts of it beyond repair, or the metal pieces will shatter off, all due to its weight. It's a lot like the Penitent Engines, really, except that the Exorcist went together more easily than the dreadnoughts did.

Also, give the poor Chaos Marines some plastic Dreadnoughts already. Same reason as the Penitent Engines above.

I'd like to see a model for every entry in a codex. Tervigons and Tyrannofexes spring to mind.

EDIT: Oh! Ninja'd! I'd just been googling around in another tab trying to remember the names of those creatures.

I'm liking the vague rumours of the rumoured Black Templars "Durendal" Dreadnought. More plastic dreadnoughts!

EVERYTHING metal made plastic, not Finecast. Finecast is allright but Plastic is soooo much better, but a finer list is below.

A newer version of the plastic Space Marine Commander, the current one is boring as hell. Plastic Veteran kits, I'm sick and tired of metal figures and even though I haven't used Finecast yet I WANT!!!! plastic INSTEAD!!!! An update to the standard Dread kit, like the Commander *yawn* boring. A plastic libby/chappy kit would be LOVELY. Plastic Techmarine, sure. New Termie kits and mashing the two into one kit, the current kits are just too bland for terminators. A new scout kit, again, mashing the standard with the snipers. Man, this list just goes on.....and on.....and on..........

For Chaos:

Plastic Chaos Lord/Sorceror kit in PA.

Plastic Chaos Contemptor Dread. 'nuff said.

And more plastic daemon engines, like Defilers, but new variations.

Dreadclaw drop pods.

And for Eldar:

New models for the Phoenix lords.

And some kind of flyer. A similar thing to the Razorwing would be nice.

As I said in the marine stuff thread, my dream is for the 25th anniversary is to see the original RT plastic sets back. That's beaky marines, squats, orks and bomber jacket IG.

Either GW could release them 'as is' or do an updated version, or WHAT THE HECK, do both!

While I doubt we'd get the squats or old orks back I think there'd be good demand for the old IG and especially the old marines.

Voidraven as previously mentioned. The Razorwing is a very smart model so I'm sure the Voidraven would look pretty good too. It would also virtually complete the Dark Eldar Codex with models (barring Special Chars).

A ripsnorting Vect model shouldn't be too much to ask should it?....

Top 5 in particular order

Chaos Power armour HQ box. (similar to the SM captain kit.)
Different Guard Plastics (Rough Riders, Tallarn, Tanith DKOK)
Chaos Drop Pods
Plastic Obliterators that don't look gak
Plastic Sm Honour Guard Squad; no more just using models with PWs

If there is a listing in a codex that doesn't have an actual GW model, it needs one. Bottom line.

Wishful thinking here, but I liked metal models and would always like the option to get some models as metal.

I'd really like a plastic box set (like SM commander) for every army's main HQ choice.

CSM PA commander
Eldar Farseer
GK brother captain
BA commander with terminator armour and BA power armour(coz BA ones have a different style of armour)
Ork warboss with all armour types including mega armour
Updated SM commander with PA and terminator armour.
Necron lord/overlord

An actual Black Templar boxed set, it's no fun to buy a 37 dollar Tactical Squad, only to have to buy a 30 dollar Upgrade Kit to make a few of them Templars.

A new guard infantry platoon boxset (even if it has be cadian). I mean one with much better preportions on the miniatures and perhaps, hazard the thought, decent lasguns (with even some options for them like targeters). Admitedly if GW were to make a gaurd box set with all the snazy extras like goggles or underslung grenade launchers (which aren't even in the wargear options anymore ¬¬) it'd probably be in a veterans boxset, but I wouldn't mind paying for one of those and using them as basic guard infantry either. =P

GW cut prices? Something we'd all like to see. Unfortunately if they did Jervis's Kitten Sanctury would run out of funds! And if that was going to happen they'd need to raise the price again to double what it is now.

That's not a new model.

I think one of the most glaring omissions is a plastic Chaos dreadnought. There are no fewer than 5 plastic loyalist dreadnought options right now (standard, ironclad, venerable, furioso, AoBR) and not one plastic Chaos one. Also:
- New warbuggy kit for Orks. $30 for an ancient model or one of the alternatives where you spend $2/point is ludicrous
- New bikes for Chaos and loyalist Marines, Eldar
- Updated sculpts for 2nd edition characters like Kharn, Ragnar, Abaddon, the Phoenix Lords
- New Crisis suit kit, ideally packaged like Killa Kans for the same price

All troop choices should be plastic and all generic HQ choices should come as multi part plastic kits. Things like libbys, chaplains and captains should contain parts to make them power armor or terminator armor, like fantasy does with foot/mounted boxes. All units that are currently missing models should get them.

Hmmm.. top of my list.

New Plastic Guard, don't care which, Valhalla/Steel Legion, Tallarn or Mordian, just some new options would be nice.

Plastic Warbuggies/Trakks, been wanting that kit for about three years.

Plastic SoB, its getting beyond a joke now.

Plastic Chaos Dread, getting to what the Feth levels now, that metal thing is older than my kids and marriage, almost combined. Well not quite, but there are more than age cracks showing through on that poor Dread.

FW Tau battle suit characters (Fine cast or plastic. I'd be happy with either)

no MOAR SPEZZ MEHRINES!! seriously.....i think the line has a respectable coverage, and does not really need anything new. most everything is plastic, and up to date, and everything in the codex is avilable. i would like to see some attention towards the xenos and heretic races. tyranids, tau, chaos, eldar, orks.. they all need models moved from metal/finecast to plastic or models for units in codex.

enough with the marines already.....i get they are the big seller and army of choice for GW to promote and new players to try.... but lets have some love on the guys they fight!

(tired of going to tourneys or game events and seeing 12 games of marine vrs marine)

A Terminator Captain who isn't afflicted by a Napoleon complex;

A Warmaster Abaddon who is likewise not a shortarse;

A plastic Chaos Dreadnought;

Revamped Dark Angels, Space Wolves and Blood Angels characters (they're significantly older than most of GW's customers);

New (plastic or finecast) Stormtroopers and Adeptus Arbites;

Maybe some Adeptus Mechanicus too (and perhaps a list);

Genestealer Hybrids (and a list to go with them);

Oh, and (I suppose) complete the Tyranid range.

- Thunderwolves for Thunderwolf Cavalry

- A generic werewolf model for Mark of the Wulfen, Norse Ulfwerener in Blood Bowl and others. Rereleasing Bjorg Bearstruck would work.

- Not a model, but I'd like to see GW release a new paint colour that's similar to the light blue in the Space Wolves Codex. The colour that's used is a mix of Shadow Grey and Space Wolves Grey but mixing paint can yield inconsistent results from model to model. It would allow new players to create the "straight out of the Codex" look much easier.

Make all Troops choices only available from forgeworld in resin xD

But really; how about some plastic love for the IG like Straken, Marbo, etc. special characters.

Also, add steel legion to IG plastics, that'd be nice and appease all the tears over DKOK resin (because forgeworld will never let them go, since they sell like crazy)

I agree about a general hq plastic kit for all army's, it would ensure people who are not good converters to have a lot of individuality in their HQ choice which are normally the coolest thing in your force,

All codex entry's should get models

And all kits should now follow the DE kits when you get all the war gear options (yes I know you don't get say 2 heat lances with your scourges) but its nice to think they can put the options in with the kit.

On the subject of new models
All DE special characters
Void raven
(I am aware this is greedy as DE have most of their codex entrys already)

Before we start updating models or doing new variants (Steel Legion, etc) Let's first be worried about every army getting a model for everything in the Codex from GW, even if it's a conversion turret, etc.

Imperial Guards should get Veterans, Penal Legion, and Hydras before another division. Eldar still need Seer Council, I believe Tyranids need Tervigons and a wings for Hive Tyrant/Shrikes, etc

I know FW offers SOME options... but not many people wanna spend over $20 + shipping to whatever country you're in (unless you live in England) just so you can get wings on your warriors! And release squad boxes of SoB! Poor angry nun armies =(

I want a Necron Titan. Pylons are just not... intimidating, I dunno. I seem them blow stuff up but it doesn't get me all hot-n-bothered like a Titan does. Ok ignore the rules part, I just want a walker.

It's a stationary gun. I mean, I had a whole army of stationary guns with the 3rd edtion codex, know what I mean? Also Living Metal blows now.

Why yes i have I get the fluff behind them, I get why the model technically works, i just have a preference for more machine looking things. Hell, I'd even settle for something similar to what happened to the mechanicus adept in "Storm of Iron".

One is a lightweight and easy to use material that allows for detailed modelling with minimal effort in construction.

The other is Finecost.

About $10 a miniature! Ba Dum Dum

One is a medium that they excel at.

The other is a medium they suck at.

From that description can you tell which medium is the revolutionary shilled as "the most detailed and easy to use miniatures in the known universe?"

For the Eldar,

Pheonix Lords need new sculps and model kits, so they are a bit taller/larger than regular Eldar.
Wraithguard desperately need to be resculpted and made a plastic kit of.
The Avatar could use a larger resculpt and plastic kit made, so we can pose him, and make him the towering dynamic figure he should rightfully be.

Farseer and Warlock kits that come with seperate arms, so we can switch out sword and spear without plunking down an extra $15 for the option.

The Autarch needs to be done badly. 1 plastic kit that contains all the options from on foot to jetbike, and all the weapons, banners and backpacks to make any Autarch option available. As of now, it is 3 kits to get all the options.

I would also like to see a conversion kit, that allows the mounting of Farseer and Warlock torsos, heads and arms onto Jetbikes. The Guardian or Shining spear legs can stay. All we need are the upper parts with caps and robes molded around the jetbike seats.

I'd like to see a plastic grand master kit for GK, just to make him look cool with little bits and maybe a different helmet?

otherwise a much more comprehensive kit for maybe all of the races generic HQ choices??

Space marine captain could do with a thunder hammer, lightning claws and other such things in the kit.

Chaos need a plastic HQ kit.

Tyranids need all the models in their codex.

As do IG.

As do GK.

Sisters need an actual range of plastic models... I suspect we will see this sooner or later

DA and BT need to be fully blown races like SPESS PUPPEHS and Blood Angels.

Tau need full plastic kits (not those horrible hybrids) and I would much rather see broadsides looking like this: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/AlternativeFW/xlarge/bsidemiss8.jpg than their boxy counterparts.

What have I missed?

I feel like most loyalist models have already been made and they can do a bit more experimenting with new stuff, like the complete DE makeover. I can see another wave or two for IG happening, but aside from special characters and Thunderwolves, Marine armies are pretty much covered.

I'd rather GW redo an old range of IG than take the gorgeous Forgeworld sculpts and make them plastic. I love DKoK as much as the next guy, but they're Forgeworld's baby. I don't particularly care for the Elysians, but the same rule applies. I'd rather GW make Tallarn, Valhallan, Mordian, or Steel Legion plastics. Hell, even a new regiment would be cool!

Most of my biggies have already been mentioned. In rough order of priority:

* Plastic Sisters of Battle. The army is caught in a feedback loop - not enough players to justify new miniatures but too expensive wtih all-metal and thusly forcing people away from playing.
* More Imperial Guard Regiments. I really miss the Mordians... If you design it right, you could even do a seperate Cadian and Mordian torso/head that uses the same leg sprue.
* Plastic-ize the Chaos Dreadnought. The same model still on sale since White Dwarf, what, 200? At the very least, a Chaos Dreadnought Sprue so you could convert the marine one easilly would be nice.
* Fill out any gaps in the existnig codices. (The Tyranids being the obvious ones.)
* On a purely personal level, I wish there was a plastic Noise Marine kit with plastic sonic blasters. "You can equip the whole squad with them... but the box only gives you one" was silly a decade ago and it's silly now.
* Not exactly a miniature, but I really wish there was a proper old-school bitz service for Mail Order. At the very least I wish they offered more variety on the bits on offer these days, perhaps more conversion kits.

  • Proper Chaos Legionaries, featuring proper mutations and armour parts from the Heresy and not just 'spiky' Space Marines.

  • New Abaddon and Chaos HQ models, several of the current range have been around since the 2nd Edition.

  • Proper Noise Marine Boxset, I need more than 2 Sonic Weapons.
