www.imperialarmoury.co.uk is a new webstore selling Imperial Guard bits.

Why only one range, I hear you ask? Looking around other bits websites it seems it's impossible to keep high stock levels for the entire Games Workshop range, so I have decided to focus on a single range in order to keep consistantly high stock levels.

The shop is new, nothing has sold out yet and I plan on restocking as frequently as is neccessary to make sure that stock levels remain high.

Anyone who orders by 10.00am GMT tomorrow will have their order shipped tomorrow.

Something to consider might be adding some of the third-party Guard conversion bits to your site. Make it a 'one-stop" site for all your Guard bitz needs. Not sure how the logistics of that would work out; just a thought I had.

Definitely +1 on this. It might also be an idea to stock some of the conversion stuff that comes from Poland or the US. I quite often get MAS stuff from UK sellers, simply because I'm impatient and don't want to wait (or pay) for the delivery from other parts of Europe!

It's a cool idea...I think you will find that it is hard to maintain stock of the important high value items while the less important items will pile up. There are two ways to deal with this: one is to raise the price on the more valued item, which is why you sometimes see melta guns going for $8 US on Ebay. The other is to sell by the sprue: it's not as specific as bits, but it's much less of a logistical nightmare for you.

You can sell in sprue combinations that people often want. For example, most people don't want 1 infantry squad, so sell a "power blob" bundle containing 2 power weapons (3rd party manufacture), 2 infantry squads, and a commissar with power weapon model. A "Vet squad" bundle would probably consist of an infantry squad, 3rd party heads of the buyer's choice, 3 3rd party special weapons of the buyer's choice, etc.

Aye, I'd agree, looking over the list it looks like your Lascannons and Melta Guns went pretty sharpish. But at £1.50 for the Melta and £1 for the Lascannon, they would do.

I'd check places like ebay and see which are the items demanding the highest price and adjust prices to some level accordingly.
Not saying you should have them for £5 more or anything, but if you have melta guns priced at the same price as heavy flamers, you'll never sell certain bits, and will struggle to keep up with the ones folks want.

Its simple price and demand.

For example if I was to buy from your heavy section all I'd want is the six crouching legs, three stands, three lascannons and three shields. The rest I can cover or have the spares for. Thats a total of £8.40, and other than the three Autocannon bits, and three missile launchers another £6 I could see folks buying.. I'd see the rest selling very slowly. I'd be weary of cash flow issues building up also as that barely costs the price of the box from a discounter, even worse if paying full price and splitting.

Just some thoughts. Other than that an interesting site.

You have to get the bases separately if you don't have any spares kicking around. It's a very good price for a guardsman though!

@undead flesh addict - Yeah, they are GW melta's which means you can use them at your local store to burn Rhinos!

I have updated the heavy weapons sprue and got my first review!

Still waiting on the catachans to come in.

Catachans have been ordered and should arrive early next week. I have the photographer coming on Thursday to photograph them and they should be on the site by Friday, barring any hiccups.

In the mean time we now have Resin Weapons on the site! They are from Forge World's Ellysian range and can therefore be used in Games Workshop stores and tournaments. The special weapons also fit the style of Cadian and Catachan weapons and should blend in nicely. Please forgive the poor quality photos; as mentioned above, the photographer comes on Thursday.

Great news, Catachan players! Catachan parts are up on the site! Command, Jungle Fighters and Heavy Weapons sprues are in and every plastic part is there. Sorry it has been so long, my jungle dwelling brethren! Please don't frag me.

Just FYI: Your Catachan Lasgunner 1 is actually a loader for the Heavy Bolter (you can see the giant clip on his hip) and the Grenade Launcher Loader is actually a missile launcher loader.

Tanks are ordered and the photographer is coming on the 27th so they should be on the site by the end of the month, this does however rely on my order being shipped quickly and so far they have left me waiting nearly a week without any news.

I post here and on when they are available and will tweet whenever I restock in case anyone is keeping an eye out for a specific part.

I would advise against investing too heavily in those Greatcoat Shock Troopers, as I personally find them to be of lacking quality.

They look much better in person but that wouldn't be hard considering what the photo's look like. I had a similar thought, so I just got the one box and will get more if/when they sell.

I will probably do that with the defiance games and mantics stuff when they comes out, put a box up so they are there if anyone wants them and then restock once they have sold enough.

EDIT: also, I have just restocked the Catachan Command Sprue!

Well its not like investing heavily to them is easy. So dirt cheap that having 4-5 boxes of them will run you with a bunch of parts. Look how cheap they sell the bitz over at Hoard O Bits

I just completed an order without any issues.

I sent a message via the site as well. The final stage of paying via Paypal leads to an error message coming up. I have ordered successfully before (good, fast service by the way) and have used Paypal on the KR site since.

What internet browsers are you guys using? I'm using Chrome and I have yet to try it on Firefox. Maybe that could be the problem.

Im using safari on my iPhone. I was thinking maybe it had something to do with the browser but I dno...

My browser has your site flagged for Spyware/Malware (Google Chrome with Fortinet). Might be causing some people some issues.

@SkaerKrow - The error you're getting will be down to Fortinet and the site not having an SSL yet, this is being worked on. Can you send me a screen print though?

Firefox and IE work fine, Chrome can have issues but is easily resolved. If anyone is having a problem the first thing to do would be to clear your cache and cookies. If this doesn't fix it please PM me directly as this will be faster the PM'ing Kai for him to PM me.

Any one who had/has problems with payment via paypal please let me know urgently, this should be fixed but as I have not yet tested it I can't be sure.

Any issues with the functionality of the site that I have not just addressed please continue to post here and I will monitor and fix them where needed or advise I believe it to be on your end.

Also as this is a new site I'm sure Kai would appreciate advice on how he can improve the look and functionality of the site, so please post those here also.

What's in the (near)future?!

I want to add some 3rd party conversion parts, Mantic's Corporation, Baneblades/Stormsword, some Defiance Games stuff, more of the Elysian Range and Death Korps of Krieg. Not necessarily but approximately in that order.

Honestly just judging by the amount of people wanting dkok I think you would make more money selling and stocking them, than anything else, you'd be one of, if not the only bits store supplying them.

Plus that's fair enough about the cost of it, but let's say you buy an infantry squad at £36 you get 10 troops lets say you sell the arms for £1 a set and the body's at £4 each that's already a 40% profit margin. From the one squad.

They are Forgeworld, they are not recast, nothing on the site is, has ever been or will ever be recast. Just to be clear.

EDIT: This picture from Forgeworlds site shows the resin channels in the same 'strange locations'.

Do you have it set up so that it only shows parts in stock? It seems to be that way. In the link you provided for me (thanks btw!) it shows trackguard B but that's it.

Figured I'd point it out just in case it was a bug or something.

Also, have you thought about carrying the DKoK officer set? Comes with lots of pistol arms and cool stuff like power weapons and chainswords. I don't know what really sells on your site, but might be something worth looking into.

And one more question, I thought I saw somewhere you were contemplating carrying the defiance games marines as bits as well. If you decide to stock those, that'd be awesome. There's a certain head in the box that I love that you only get 12 of (for 24 guys in the box) and I'd probably run you out of those so fast it wouldn't even be funny

i can also vouch for IA, only hickup was with customs....when i complained, he said he would resend my order, i told him to wait a week, in which time my package finally arrived...will definitely be doing business again

on a side note: have you thought about stocking other IoM bits (inquisition and space marines bits) i have a need for quite a few space marine tank hatches

got another order in just after I placed another one for DkoK. Great stuff and took about a week or so to get to california.

are you looking for the "head rest" last I checked it was classified as unknown valkyrie part.

No mate, the window frame bit that goes over the clear canopy "glass"

Anyways, I was wondering why i cant find Leman Russ Battlecannon mount, and barrel? I find the Vanquisher BC, but not the regular, and certainly not the mount.
I recently bougth a LemanRuss Demolisher, but i want the option to put a battlecannon in it as well.
And i also want to know if you are able to stock forgeworld bits?

And while im at it, why is there no Dozerblades in the Accessory sprue to Chimera?

From my looking at the site, when an item goes out of stock, it is removed from the list (dozerblade, ect.) and they do have some FW on the site

You have to ask to get FW stuff, that how I got my Grenadier parts.

Rogue Wolves is spot on in that items out of stock don't show up. Unfortunately, it's the only way I have to stop people buying out of stock items.

If there is anything specific you would like restocking please mention it here, or email or PM me. I tend to restock by looking at what items are short, but if you contact me then I can do that first. I will, of course, get some more Russ parts in. I'm currently restocking the Cadian Battle Force, Catachan Battle Force, Hellhound Tank and Leman Russ (in that order). The first three are in the post and I'm about to order the Leman Russ parts now.

Concerning ForgeWorld, I am able to add them but generally only do kits that people express interest in (eg. Bob's Grenediers), as the turnaround and margins are generally too low to try to stock every guard item they do. An exception exists for Elysian weapons as special weapons are in high demand.

New stuff coming up includes Baneblade (very soon). After that it will be Aegis Defence Line and Bastion parts.

I have one order i placed early september, which i have sent a mail asking you about wherabouts. This is the second mail that has gone unanswered.
I have been happy with your services and short shipping time earlier, so i am a bit disapointed as to why mails go unanswered and why this last order is not being processed.

I've also been attempting to contact him without success.
I made an order nearly 2 months ago which I still haven't received.
It says it's been delivered ages back, but nup, nothing at all.

this is my 5th order from imperialarmory, and my experience has been good up untill this point. Short shipping time, and good stocking was the prime reason i would recommend the site to others, but now im not so sure anymore :\

That's worrying. IA was the only place where I could get decent amounts of IG lasguns for a decent price.

For Each model field, such as your great coat trooper section under Wargames Factory, Id recommend having a general picture of a completed model using those parts painted so people looking can get the idea of what the finished model would look like right next to the parts they could possibly buy or be interested in.
