Hello everyone,

After nearly a year in development we are very pleased to formally announced that coming Q4 2012 Dakka will be launching its very own line of paints and corresponding hobby supplies.

That's right, we welcome you to the new painting revolution called 'Dakka Paint'! Our goal with this project from the very beginning has been simple: If you can imagine a color shade, then we will have it for you to buy!

This paint line utilizes state of the art pigment technology to ensure an amazing look and feel you've literally never encountered before with existing acrylic miniature paints.

Although our initial release line will contain only a handful of colors, by the end of 2013 we are aiming to finish releasing all 413 different colors we have currently in the pipeline. Once all the colors have been released and organized into 14 distinct organizational categories, Dakka Paint will be the most comprehensive painting range in the known galaxy and will be the go to paint for both professional painters and those who have never painted a miniature before in their lives.


To whet the appetites of those who are as excited as us, today we're unveiling a list of just a few of the color names that will be released in our first wave of paints. Keep in mind, this is just a sampler…there will be many, many, many more colors actually released in the initial wave and then followed up with even more after that!

As a DCM I had the exclusive honour to try some of these paints and WAAC white is the best white paint yet, it will cover any basecoat, no matter what it is. Certainly aptly named if I do say so myself.

Of course, Dakkadakka issue Invisible paint performs like no other paint I've seen!

Good eye, Spiggott! You've spotted one of the yet-to-be-named colors still in development. Can't give it away here, of course. I will say that it's an amazing new step forward in metallic paint technology and realism, though.

This just in, as an additional incentive, if you show us your empty wallet from buying multiple finecost models with various flaws, we will include a paint conversion chart that shows the similarities between the paints you get, and the paints available from other companies.

I would love to see something actually painted with these new paints, then I will have an opinion - but I already love the names

Vanilla Marines Vanilla: A yellowish paint that paints well onto all MEQ models, and smells like everyone's favourite ice cream!

The Kaldor Draigo: A paint that spreads on the model so viciously that nobody knows what it actually looks like. All we know is, it will leave a permanent mark on your heart

Notes: Vanilla Marine Vanilla tastes like Ice Cream, but is more expensive. Not to be used as an after dinner dessert.

Any Mortarions must stay away from the Kaldor Draigo. Is known to have sharper textures around Mortarions.

Definitely. If it was for real, I would have forked out serious money for the Dakka Cause!

New line of magnetic paints. Just magnetize your miniature, apply magnetic paint. If you don't like the current paint job, just take it off and paint anew. No more stripping paint!

It stems from a time when I would go into every thread about Knights and vehemently correct everyone calling them Knight Titans or using Titans in the description since Epic was very clear about them NOT being Titans.

Since then it's become a running joke between Alpharius and I.

Pah it doesn't beat Highlight Shade.
