Ok everybody I think its time to finally start a proper army...
Ive decided to go with the Blood Ravens as they are the army that got me interested in the painting and modeling aspect of the hobby. (I only played DoW untill about a year ago)
I recently won the Big Winter Competition on Youtube (LINK) and won 100 GBP worth of GW materials.
I will put this money towards finally creating an army to speak off, instead of randomly painting characters for the fun of it... (although I learned a lot and gained a great deal of experience from it)
Im thinking of playing them according to the Blood Angel codex, as i understand its better then the regular space marine codex when it comes to assault marines etc. and you dont have to take a Death Company anymore (if I understood correctly, I dont really play the game so I know little about it)
Anyway, my first problem is what to get for that 100 GBP...
Ive never made an army list so if anyone has any advice it will be greatly appreciated! (are scouts really any good?? I hate how they look and i hate to paint them)
Second, I want to make some character conversions.
Tarkus, Thadeus and Avitus are pretty easy... their heads are pretty much standard for some kits and some extra bits/detail are easily glued or sculpted on. Even the Force Commander can be made pretty easy (Emperors Champion maybe?) but the real problem starts with Diomedes and his Honor Guard and Chapter Master Gabriel Angelos. Ive seen some conversions which im gonna base him off they they look pretty hard to pull off properly... LINK
I already figured out how i wanted to paint them.
For the reds (stolen from FtW and adapted a bit):
1. Basecoat the red areas with Vallejo Heavy Red (extra opaque).
I decided to start with the red as well with this guy since it covered more of the model. This means I would have to finish the other areas carefully. If I'd gone the other way, I could have done all the metals, bone and black portions quick at first but would have had to work with the red areas carefully.
2. Go over the Heavy Red with Vallejo Gory Red and then clean up the work with black.
The Gory Red is a bit darker and cooler than the Heavy Red is and really gives them that dark feeling in the end.
3. boltgun metal over the metal areas.
4. Now wash the whole thing with GW Badab Black or Devlan Mud. The black wash will at least be applied to the metal parts.
5. Add Vallejo Bone White edge highlights. This will look funny but it will become clear after the next step.
6. Wash the highlights with Baal Red. This will blend the Bone White to the red and it will look really nice and reflective!
for the bone:
1. Cathan Brown basecoat
2. Thinned layer of Vallejo Bone White (might require multiple layers)
3. Wash the edges and crevices of the armor with Gryphonne Sepia (might require multiple layers)
4. Highlight with Vallejo Off White
for the black:
1. 50/50 mix of Chaos Black and Adaptus Battlegrey (I know, I know, I still have the old paints, leave me alone )
2. Badab Black wash
3. Hightlight with Codex Grey (same rules apply as step one)
Power weapons, purity seals, eye lenses, gems will be green:
Dont know the color scheme yet... But it will be green.
I dont know how quickly this blog will really come off the ground since I dont know what kits to get, but I hope it will get a nice discussion started with some followers.
Progress reports will also be posted on my YouTube channel, in which i will show a lot of other stuff as well.

ill post pics and vids as soon as i get the package!!
ill try to enter a model into the low lands painting competiton (the netherlands and flander) and im using one of the masters of the chapter for that... if i finish it in time ill post a pic for that 2
I got a couple of WIP shots from models im using to test my color scheme (yes im using 2 characters for that i know, you)
I got some inspiration from SONS of ORAR's WIP thread and decided to kind of use his dirty look on the bone parts of my models. (you will see on the emperors champion) Ive also decided to lighten the bone colors on my Blood Ravens with a glaze of Vallejo Off White.
OK picture time, i know you guys have been waiting!
I love the shield on the champion, to colour is looking really good, any chance you could brighten the pictures, the detail is quite diffilcult to see.

Young Logan
if you click on them you can enlarge them up to MEGA scale
camera decided to only take blurry pictures, so sorry about that, but its a update shot of my emperors champion. re-painted the sword, added a tad more yellow to the green to make it stand out more, added gold in the inscription although i have to clean it up again, and i painted the green wax of the purity seals and some of the gems, still needs some work though, if i finish it on saterday i can still enter it in the dutch painting competition. omg and i still need to build a base for it.
Nice work keeping them bone/cream and red, sometimes it can be very tempting to keep working cream up to white, but pale bone is SUCH a gorgeous colour with red it can really work.
The blue details really pop with the scheme too. Great job.
WOOT my project log is now listed on the homepage!!!!

Thanks! what do you think of my current cream/bone color? to light already? and the blue im using for cloth and cords is actually old citadel shadow grey, which if you break down that color has some purple in it. which if i remember correctly is a complementary color to the red.
AresX8 wrote:Are you printing out the decals yourself or using FW's sheet?
i decided to go with the forgeworld decals, as if i wanted to buy the transfer paper myself the shipping alone would make it just as expensive, and i would still have to figure out the sizes.
Yeah that is true, the scaling is definitely something I don't want to get wrong. How does the decal sheet fare compared to the sheets that GW provides? Is it thinner or just as thick?
AresX8 wrote:Yeah that is true, the scaling is definitely something I don't want to get wrong. How does the decal sheet fare compared to the sheets that GW provides? Is it thinner or just as thick?
in my little experience with decals i would say they are about as thick, but im also using decal softeners just in case

Is this a bit closer to how it looks in real life? I'm going by the background being white card stock? If so, I think the cream is pretty perfect as it is I wouldn't bring it up any higher, unless you want to do a very pale edge highlight or something like that.
Shadow grey is an awesome colour alright, the slight tinge to it makes it have so many uses. I sometimes use it under white when I start highlighting and it is gorgeous.

its about twice the size now but it does show the details and colors better...
yeah the background is white... im currently working on a photobox with a greyish background.
thanks for the positive reactions. i cant wait to receive the rest of my army so that i can get started!
Alright i confess, i didnt paint much last couple of days... but i did get my hands on a Forgeworld librarian and i made a base and a custom pose for a regular space marine. BTW im still waiting on my Battleforce
Okay i was wondering about something. Im about to start painting on a librarian i had laying around, and i wanted him to look like Jonah Orion from Dawn of War II. (its not the libby shown in the post above, its the metal libby with staff and book)
The thing is the color. I know librarians are usually painted ultra marine blue up to enchanted blue, but when i look at Jonah's armor its much darker, almost like shadow gray.
Ofc its my army and i should do what i want or what i think is best but i appreciate some input from people viewing my blog
So what do you guys think? and can i get the best results with this color?
The Codex Astartes dictates that all Librarians be painted blue regardless of chapter, however the Lexicanum says that this practice is starting to become ignored.
I'd say choose which scheme you prefer better. I'm considering stripping and re-painting my Libby to a scheme closer to Blood Ravens as I don't like the blue as much as I used to.
This is an excellent thread. I'm starting a Blood Ravens army as well. I only have the codex, a Command Squad, and a lot of ambition. I'll be starting out slowly, as my budget is somewhat limited, yet I will still make an advancement every month. Your colour scheme seems really solid, and that has been my biggest ponderance since I decided to build up an army. My first experience with 40K was not DoW, but my first affair with 40K certainly was DoW II. I love the BR colour scheme, their organizational tendencies, and the intelligence gathering elements of their chapter. I won't be hijacking your thread, as I will be starting my own of course. But to the OP, I would just like to extend my thanks.
I've started a Blood Ravens army a while ago and even made few random characters, yet, switched my attention for some other stuff... I hope, one day I'll finish what I've started.
Anyway, you're doing great so far! Keep it up!
@ From Cyrus to Sirius
Hehe well feel free to discuss colors and idea's here. i heard my battleforce and terminators will be shipped on monday, so i hope to get them like friday or something.
@ ishkatar
HOLY i have a celeb in my thread!! your blood ravens have been and still are a great inspiration to me... so are all your other characters!
your conversions are amazing. i love gunter, with the minigun. im thinking of making something similar as a avitus model!
on the subject of conversions, im thinking of making a gabriel angelos conversion, do you have any pointers??
Anyway... Isn't Avitus a more suitable character to carry around a big f'n gun? Though he was stated as a traitor in Retribution for some wierd reason... Sure, he was an angrypants, but traitor? Pffft!
As for Gabriel, my plans for Angelos-inspired miniature were based on this:
Not exactly a conversion from this particular model, but I wanted to build something very similar, since I love it's heroic pose, suitable for a seasoned veteran and a true leader. Of course, Gabriel should have a huge Thunder Hammer, an eagle on his shoulderpad and a cloak (simply because every great leader should have a cloak). And without a gun in his left hand.

yeah it kind of depended on who was corrupted the most at that certain point in the campaign, but sometimes it also was completely random. about giving the minigun to avitus, yeah your right, i mixed them up

Well, just my thoughts.
i have that particular model, and i recently got into reposing legs a bit, so ill start working off that, as for the hammer, i think i need a hammer from the grey knights kit and rebuild the hammerhead to look like godsplitter. and i have to sculpt some bionics onto his face since angelos almost died at the end of retribution.
now for some pictures!

i heard my battleforce and termies are in the mail. i hope they arrive early, which will be friday, or maybe saterday, depending on how long customs will want to play with them :S
@ Enzephalon
thanks for the comment! ill be receiving a whole lot of marines at the end of this week so then this blog will really lift off the ground!
Ok i visited a LHS near my work and they are about to get rid of all their Citadel paints, and start working with ArmyPainter paints. i picked up a can of Dragon Red spray to prime my models. i also still have a can of chaos black so i might even kind of pre shade them... (and black works good on mechanic bits and weapons)
i really decided to do it after seeing this pic (which is not mine)
the red primer can save me a lot of work!! especially on the rhino and drop pod im planning!!!

Drop pods you say? "The Codex Astartes named this maneuver "Steel Rain" " Captain Boreale.
Anyways..... I've seen army painter stuff on miniatures personally and up close. The feel of the base coat is just so "new like" that other generic primers don't give me. Use the red primer and try pre shading using the black one. Best of luck!
I finished the Chaos Rising with 100% purity, so Avitus treachery and Martellus in Retribution was quite a surprise for me.
Aye, the hammer from the Grey Knights kit will do well, but you will have to remove all the decor from it... Not that it is hard though Also I believe there are a decent heads with bionics from the Black Templars Upgrade kit and Space Marine Commander kit.

im just gonna base it off the hammer, im gonna do some plasticard and greenstuff over the hammerhead to make it look genuine...
as for the BT head, its good, but the bionics are on the wrong side
Ok so before i show them i wanna tell you that their still WIP... they have been primed grey because when i got them i didnt know what to do with them. the red is Vallejo Heavy Red, the cream is vallejo bone or bleach bone, idk... and the cloth was basecoated with vallejo light brown with Citadel Commando Khaki.
Ill have to finish up on the weapons metals and hair before ill give them a wash and then start with gory red, highlights on the cloth, the weapons and the camo on the cloaks and ofc properly touch up the models
(note on the black of the guns: ive tried something new and i found out that if i mix the black with a tiny drop of white it will get rid of the shine... it will also allow me to still shade the black, and add highlights... )
they are only basecoated now, they will get a wash of devlan mud and then they will receive some vallejo gory red. they are still WIP so stay tuned for updates
DijnsK wrote:Ok a small thing here...You can see Telion wields a stalker bolter. as GW doesnt have any models for these i made this:
(Not sure why the pic isn't working, but...) Looks convincing to me! I'm glad you added a stock, as stockless and precision shooting are mutually exclusive (at least in my book ). My only CC is that the mag (or perhaps that part of the bolter body) seems a bit long and the join doesn't look like a smooth curve (but it could just be the pic). I'd say shorten it just a hair and make that join a bit smoother.
i finally finished the base for the Emperors Champion. Im now 95% done with him, i might wanna touch up the face and the gems, or i might just be lazy and dont.
optometris wrote:sweet work! what are you using as the material for your press mold???
thanks im using instant mold. its a product you can use over and over again. if your done or wont use a certain mold again you can just throw it in hot water and remold it. works well with single press molds, multi part molds
ishkatar wrote:I would add more contrast on the armour via highlights, but otherwise the Champion is cool.
i guess your right. i have to come back to it later though im kinda done working on him for a while.
ishkatar wrote:Are you going to convert Talion in to Cyrus?
that was the idea. i want several of the DoW heroes in my army. Tarkus died sadly but Cyrus is one of the best options for characters like Talion
Kid_Kyoto wrote:Please do not copy other people's work.
Press molds for your own sculpts is fine, but not for someone else's.
noted!
my apologies, wont happen again, thanks for removing my pics and pruning my thread.
back to business!
i finally figured out the paint recipe for my bases!
i also have a unidentified miniature below. its a OOPSM captain or commander but i dont know how old it is and where its from.
maybe anyone can help with that.
Recipe:
black basecoat
heavy charcoalite gray drybrush
50:50 charcoalite grey:dheneb stone drybrush
final highlight with that new Citadel Dry white paint
Biohazard wrote:That guy came out around the release of 3rd edition Im sure. Good looking force so far. I like the bases on the Scouts.
your right... found out its a 3rd edition captain!
the force will be a lot more impressive once i get my battleforce... i was hoping to get it last friday but it still didnt arrive... oh well... it has to get here sometime and thanks! im gonna repaint the bases i did earlier, to match the one of which i wrote down the recipe, cant wait to finally finish a squad of something
Looking great man. i really like the bases you've made for your scouts - my imagination always fails me with bases and i end up sticking a rock on and calling it done. those look really cool.
San76 wrote:Looking great man. i really like the bases you've made for your scouts - my imagination always fails me with bases and i end up sticking a rock on and calling it done. those look really cool.
same for me but i also put some plasticard tiles and maybe some skulls and tubes to make it look urban rubble... other then that i just throw stuff on there and hope it looks good
I was thinking about doing the same thing as a big fan of the DoW games but in stead of doing an army just doing the main charecters angelos, Commander, tarkus, martelus etc you've given me some good ideas on colour scheme and bases, cheers matey cant wait to see the finished lot.
secretsquirrel wrote:I was thinking about doing the same thing as a big fan of the DoW games but in stead of doing an army just doing the main charecters angelos, Commander, tarkus, martelus etc you've given me some good ideas on colour scheme and bases, cheers matey cant wait to see the finished lot.
Haha I'm glad to be of service. Do you have any ideas ho
w to do angelos?
Still waiting on my battleforce and terminators (damn mail service!!!) I decided to buy a razorback rhino and build it up (kind of a practice piece) and Im currently at the point that the sides (tracks) are glued and the bottom and the top are still unattached, as are all the turret options...
Im trying to figure out how to get some of the parts painted up. im thinking of priming the inside with chaos black and the outside with the army painter Dragon Red.
I thought i ordered a green LEDs but it seems that order got lost so i guess i wont have a green LED in my rhino
I also got myself a real sergeant Telion model, not that I've giving up on my conversion project, but i wanted it as a backup.
Only thing is that when i was disassembling him for stripping, i might have ruined his face (pics included) so i will have to GS his nose back on, give him a full facial or i will have to get him a completely new head altogether.
Games Workshop also released a finecast version of Telion, so i might end up picking him up eventually, if everything fails
fatty wrote:Hey quick off topic question did you went to Battle of the Clubs yesterday?
I was there just wondering i might have seen you although i don't know who you are
No I wasnt and to be honest im unfamiliar with that event. is it a big event?? and more important, was it any good??
Back on topic, i have some new pictures of my Rhino.
I primed it with Citadel Chaos Black and The Army Painters Dragon Red.
I have to say that TAP's (the army painter's) primer is really good! you need to spray it up close, so you have to keep it moving to keep the paint from pooling but it dries really fast and gives a good, solid base!
What i did btw was I primed it when still partially disassembled. I sprayed the inside, bottom and tracks black, then masked the tracks and insides where needed, and sprayed the rest red. I was pretty happy how it turned out after priming. i then proceeded to paint some of the parts that are gonna be metal colored with chaos black, and i already partially painted the inside.
OH it's big. it's like a GT for clubs. if you can find 3-5 players you can enter next year. like every mayor warhamer fantasy and 40k it is organised by the saints.
here have a link

I don't know where you live in Holland but I bet there is a gaming club near you.
about your rhino nice to see some interior nice work keep them comming
I am from Vaassen and even I have a gaming club in a 10km radius.
Apeldoorn - rising empire
zwolle (okay not 10km but still close enough) - bullet proof
ok did a little bit of work on my rhino yesterday evening.
to be honest I could have spend more time on it but I was distracted by DIABLO 3!!!!!!! I kind of finished off the insides of the rhino... im thinking of painting a little OSL inside, but i might not because what im thinking off will probably ruin it
I also washed the whole thing with devlan mud, and i already learned a crucial step for the next time I will paint a larger model with TAP primer spray. What i did this time is wash straight over the primer. But TAP primer spray is designed for that spray, paint, dip, shake method they developed and the wash kept pulling away from larger area's.
this isnt a problem as i still have to paint gore red over it and this was just for shading, but next time i will put paint over the primer before washing. that should solve the problem.

you no longer need to show those pieces or armor?? why am i going through all this trouble???
i worked a bit on my rhino again (i know you guys must be tired of my slow progress but i like to take my time so STFU ) and what i did is i used the new citadel dry paint kindleflame to drybrush the edges. i used a large flat brush and i tried to use an technique that i use directional drybrushing, which is pretty much avoiding large flat surfaces and just catch the edges of them.
pictures of this below.
also, at the bottom, you will find my latest tool! i thought i'd get myself an airbrush. i bought a really cheap one (cheapest gravity feed dual action airbrush and the cheapest piston compressor with tank i could find) but i havnt had much time to test it yet.
if anyone has some good airbrush tutorials (and now where someone uses an airbrush, but where someone explains HOW to use an airbrush) please leave a link in the replies
Damn, I love the 'white' on the rhino hits the spot perfectly.
The highlights also look nice, not too much fuss. The black marks/shadows/dust is also amazing.
Just how come you didn't put blood raven symbol on door rather than iron halo?
Lone Cat wrote:Will you include Captain Gabriel Angelos into your army?
idk if ill include him in the armylist, but im planning on making a model for him anyway.
already have some idea's on how to build him up and make him stand out more. including making him a bit larger and buffing his torso a little bit.
Tyris1013 wrote:Damn, I love the 'white' on the rhino hits the spot perfectly.

Can't wait to see this fully done
the 'white' or cream or bone color lexicanum and DoW refere to, is done with bone white highlighted with offwhite. ill change this recipe now that i have my airbrush though.
although the effect will be roughly the same.
ive added some extra dirt to the bottom, and ill be doing some battle damage, but the bulk of the bodywork is done.
finally, the reason i chose for the iron halo on on that side hatch rather then the ravens emblem is because there are already 2 on the top of the rhino, and ill add more when finalizing the details.
ok last picture of this incomplete rhiro.
i did some script work on it, some grease, some weathering around the tracks and gave the whole thing a coat of matte varnish (applied with my airbrush, yay!)
ok people to get a nice test area for my airbrush i bought a CoD Basilica Administratum.
damn this is a heavy boxset! and the amount of plastic you get for the money spend is amazing!
i dont have pictures of the sprue's but basically what you get is 2 large sprues with wall sections, supports and details and 1 large sprue with floor sections, a ladder, a lightpost and some other details.
i understand that the administratum is the largest of the 3 (administratum, manifactorum and the sanctum imperialis.
and its really big!!!
its the biggest thing ive every build since ive started the hobbby (its also my first scenery piece) and i was afraid to actually start building it.
im gonna use 2 or 3 wallplates made of plasticard to break up the extreme ornate wallpieces the rest of the model will have.
i hope i can finish it tonight and if everything goes well ill receive my airbrush primer today do i can start getting used to my airbrush, paint up a nice piece of scenery all at once!
build it up and primed the inside for like 50% with only 5 drops of vallejo primer through an airbrush! its epic win!
the vallejo black primer 60ml costs about 5 euro (little less) so its way more cost effective then the spraycans that are on the market.
+ you will waste less paint because airbrushing is more controllable then the spraycans
Okay everybody im sorry but painting has been a bit slow this week. a lot of RL stuff going on but check out my review of GaleForce nine's Urban basing kit.
Ive also made a sergeant for my blood ravens. i finished him and i was like: "damn, this would make a nice Tarkus".
Check it out yourself i personally really like the "heroic pose"
ah girlfriends you can't live with them and living without them is so gay (dakkadakka mod don't translate this one wrong the official meaning of this word is happy)
Okay i took the time to reorganize my workspace. threw away all the old boxes and other crap i had laying around.
its still not much of a workspace. its current state is more of a storage space. but ill work my way towards being able to work there properly.
Loved the get rid of the girlfriend for weekend comment haha. I am in same boat as you, can only paint when the wife is at work. As when she is home she doesnt like having to sit on her own while I paint what she calls little boys plastic soldiers.
@TSD
lol i totally know how that feels... i used to post pictures on facebook but my GF and i got into an argument about her being embarrassed by her boyfriend posting pictures of the toy soldiers he just painted.
i eventually ended up deleting my facebook and creating a pseudo account with my gamertags as names.
also took her to a GW store once to have one of the store owners (one of the non-geeky looking guys to improve the general image) explain her how to paint a miniature (she was into nail arts back then) but she felt like i took her there to make fun of her...
better to keep my hobby and my girlfriend separated with razer wire
Your lucky you convinced her to go into GW, my wife drags me around every girly shop imaginable yet when I ask her to pop to GW with me she acts like I've just asked her to return the pair of heels and 5 maxi dresses she has needlessly dragged me round all day to buy :( LOL
WTF it even shows how much I get dragged around because I named an outfit with its real Maxi Dress name hahahaha!!!
LMAO
well i have to sit here all day listening about how she thinks my hobby is too expensive when i get a package with new paints or some models why she orders new shews and jackets online all week long.
The way I justify cost is pointing out that for my money I get lots of individual bits of plastic (many models) where as for her money she only get 2 pieces of plastic (pair of shoes).
woman and GW.:
they both cost a lot, they always know how to push your buttons but at the end of the day it's your girl lying next to you not a marine, guardsmen, tyranid(which is creepy),necron(which is cold),ork(which is smelly) lying next to you but your girl
oh and GW dosn't break up with you for painting models when she thinks you should paint her door for the 34213ste time this week...... true story
also just won a Ork Stompa... i should ban myself from YT... anyway... got some test bases i made with the GF9 Urban rubble mix... pics below
also bought a Vampire Cairn Wraith to practice airbrushing on.
gave him the iron mask, that way i can use the skulls for basing (check the bases)
are you?? its just a airbrush practice piece...
im gonna use fluo green and shadow gray for the colors...
so far ive applied the primer and the first layer of green "glow"
ill try to finish him this weekend... so far im really enjoying painting with an airbrush
You're a pretty good painter! I'm really excited about the airbrush stuff. I want to give it a goo as well but still scared since I'm so new to the hobby XD.

thanks! if your gonna buy an airbrush and compressor make sure to atleast get a good compressor and a cheap airbrush to start with.
in that case, if you like the hobby, you only have to invest in a better airbrush instead of a better compressor, making the total investment lower
on my YT channel (link in my comment) there is a On the Desk vid i put out this week that shows some scouts... im gonna post pics monday

I do have to build up some courage and actually properly get into it.
Okay people im very sorry for the lack of updates but i will make it up!
got some photos for you people
got some random stuff in here, a scout squad, a scout sergeant with powerfist conversion which i think came out pretty good, and a base i created during my Urban basing tutorial.
regarding the scouts, im really glad how their faces came out... its still something im practicing so be gentle other then that their like 80% done

Painting looks great, as always! I like the green spot color for the lenses and the grenades.
The connection that you worked up for the PF conversion is pretty good, the guitar string trick works pretty well. My two pieces of CC on it: First, the connection looks a little plain, imho. Maybe add a second, smaller, smooth cable also running back from the PF. And Second (with a bit more work involved), I think the termie PF is way to OTT for scouts. I think a standard SMPF or even (gasp!) an IG fist would fit better. Right now, the fist is as big as his whole torso.
thanks for the compliment and criticism Rawson, its aways much appreciated i might add a thinner cable to the powerfist (btw its not guitarstring its dragonforge's pewter powercable)
second, i found out that the termie PF isnt much bigger then a SMPF... its just a bit rounder...
i yet might file it down a little bit since i dont like the roundness of it though...
again thanks for the comment
Those are some nice looking Blood Ravens, I'm in love with that Emperor's Champion. If you're still looking that perfect Gabriel Angelos model though, how about this guy? http://www.solegends.com/citle/citle2000/GamesDay/2008marinecaptain/index.htm I managed to pick him up on eBay for about £20, so he's not majorly expensive.

My most sincere apologies

Sounds tricky, I can never get that technique to look good afterwards. Best of luck, though!

Great army, subscribed. You put my painting skills to pain. Yet, it still makes me want to put my own ravens up more even though I know I probably never will.

thanks!
y'know you dont have to start an whole army... just a single marine to the best of your abilities to keep you sharp or a full squad and use them for reinforcements

consider this subscribed
Thanks!
ill start painting that model soon btw... ive been getting used to my airbrush a bit more lately and ive been using a lot of disposable models, some terrain and other random stuff to practice because it would be a shame to mess these models up
Okay time for some more pictures!
I finished building up my other scout squad yesterday and for the people following my blog they will recognize the sergeant with the powerfist.
there is an other customization in that squad, although its too small to call it a conversion... a cookie for the first person who spots it also finished painting up my first aegis defense wall, rusted it up a bit (maybe a bit too much)
to be honest nothing recently... i moved so i kind of have all my WIP stuff still packed in boxes...
i did start a new army alongside this one, a necron battleforce, that will get frequent updates the next couple of weeks/months
