Post by: Melcavuk

As some of you may have seen at varying points recently across Painting and Modelling/Showcase I have spent the best part of the last two months working on a Renegade Guard force that will be run using the Imperial Guard Codex. For the most part this is a labour of love on conversions for the "lesser seen" residents of the 40K universe, all of the unsightly civilizations that fail to make it up to Imperial Standards or have fallen from grace for misdemeanours that could cost them their lives.

My vision for this project is Renegades and Rogues, the force is designed to look ramshackle, a large number of people from different background puleld together by a common hate by the unrelenting oppression of Imperial Injustice that has forced them to seek out power from the Dark Gods. This gives me a great opportunity to design the army on a squad by squad basis and make some nice character pieces.

Currently I stand at a point where I have designed three "core" themes for the army:

The Plagued Zombies: Motivated by their hate for those who could not save them from the Renegades these once loyal PDF and guardsmen are now blessed by nurgle to continue the rest of their existance seeking to punish those for the agony they now constantly endure.

Led by Mat'isk and Mat'uth, Blessed of Nurgle, Brothers in arms...

Next comes the Cult of the Undying, seeds of rebellion that have spread across the stars faster than even the plague of nurgle could. In times of darkness and oppression the offer of a loving all father, of freedom and power can sow discord in even the strongest of hearts. The cults influence has grown rapidly and with it their ranks have swelled.

Led by The Immortal, a potent psyker who has evaded inquisitorial pursuit for decades, first recorded at the demise of The Cult of the Serpent, when Storm Troopers tracked down the Heretical Cult all members were found to have been sacraficed in some dark ritual with the exception of one who has nowhere to be seen. Known for his brutal psychic potential and careless disregard for the lives of those around them the image of the Immortal Reaper haunts many a hive world

As the rebellion has swollen they have found many Mercenaries joining their cause, there is no need to believe in the Imperial Demise to join the rebellions ranks, the prospects of Pillaging and Plunder calls out to the Pirates and Abhumans rejected from more civilised professions. The Blooded are a beastman mercenary army that have sworm allegiance to The Immortal in return for the chance to hone their young hunters against Imperial forces:

Those are the concepts I have to date, and those are pretty much the only painted models aswell. My WIP army currently comprises of:
2 x 10 Zombie Infantry Squads (w/ Autocannons and Flamer)
1 x 5 Zombie PCS (w/ Heavy Bolter and 2 Grenade Launchers)
8 x Cultist Rough Riders (w/ Melta Guns)
10 x Cultist Veterans (w/ 2 Plasma)
10 x Beastmen Mercenaries (w/ 1 Flamer, 2 Melta)

However I am looking to include another Mercenary faction in my army, and looking at the more Feudal civilizations for inspiration. This has led me to the following three model choices to narrow down to one:
WFB Empire Great Swords (Body, Legs and Head only)
WFB VC Grave Guard (Body, Legs and Head only)
or
Forgeworld Empire Ironsides (Body, Legs, Head only)

Opinions, comments and critisisms would be great.

I'll strive to keep this updated as I work.

I have to say your arch heretic looks great whats the base of the model? Personally I'd leave off adding another faction at the minute and focus on adding more minions. Mutants would also be a nice touch. I'd recommend taking a look at Skalk Bloodaxes work for inspiration.

The Boss guy is based off of the new Empire Amber Wizard, I had to do some work on him due to some of the finecast being... less than finely cast. His head came from what was originally the staff topper, the staff was pretty much a write off but I really liked the staff head, hence the funky head mask. More minions are a good idea, I may end up diversifying the army too much with too many merc but the urge to convert is strong...

I have hit a conundrum, pay day has once again come and gone and I have the opportunity to add one (maybe two) more unique units into my army. However this next purchase will define the final part of what would be fielded as a 500 point force. I am not too bothered with competitiveness for now as that will come with a wider variety of troops.

This will be a third squad of veterans, the first being cultist, the second being Beastmen.

My options for the third are:
3 Melta Armoured Cultists (and 6 las, 1 sarge)
3 Plasma Feudal men at arms (and 6 las, 1 sarge)
3 Flamer Robed Cultists (and 6 las, 1 sarge)

The third option saves me a little money which will let me field two more squad of vets with different varieties, however it will look almost identical to an existing squad.

Ideas, suggestions would be welcome

Current army update, getting nearer the 1000 point mark now and starting to shape up, just need to get a bit more enthusiastic with the paint brush:

Looking great so far, loving the 'brothers in arms'.
Is that a conversion of your own making? or one of the FW bits?

I know what you mean about getting on with the painting, converting's the fun bit and sometimes the painting seems more like a chore.

The Brothers in arms are my own conversion out of a zombie kit, a couple of spare bitz and one of my spare heavy bolters. PLus some GS for smoothing, relatively simple but effective.

WIP update for Sentinel:

Forgot to say cheers for the comments guys, its a fun army to work on and my current longest running project.

Really like the sentinel, very original. I wouldn't worry about the colour scheme; it looks great as is

Oh and in reply to your earlier question, i'd go with the plasma armed men at arms as judging by your current work you could make an incredibly good unit. just my 2 cents though.

Cheers, I'll likely be picking up a great swords kit on pay day just to go a little more feudal cultists (and who doesnt like feathered hats).

Got a little more work done on my sentinel this morning, just the legs to go now:

Finished assembling another 5 of my rough riders, due to a knifing accident some time ago the 10th is now not gonna happen but I have no.9 to sort when I gather enough bits.
For now I have a squad of 8 including 2 rough rider meltas, and 1 rough rider sergeant with plasma pistol. The rest have their own variety of "hunting lances" of explosives in various combinations:
4 Grenades on a Chain
2 Shells on a stick
1 Rocket on a Chain

And then the Sarge.

These are still very much WIP, I still need to GS the furs, capes and shoulder pads, but my kitbash is completed and sculpting about the begin.

I really like your idea for rough riders, especially the sixth ones 'come at me bro' pose

Also can't wait to see them painted. Are you going to Nurgleise them or are they just your average renegades?

Cheers, the Rough Riders are in the same camp as the cultists as my run of the mill "renegades", factions from tribal worlds that have been swept up in the oncoming wave of chaos and joined arms against the oppressive worshippers of the dead god (emperor).

They turned out pretty good by my reckoning, and due to some mishaps with forgeworld arms that left me with spare the whole unit ran for just under £30 which left me pretty happy (and alot better than the dodgy rough riders still sold by GW).

Cheers, occasionally the scheme seems to come off comic-book-y to me, not in the cell shaded manner but in a clean colour and definition way with perhaps a little bit of humour in appearances (the zombie kit faces just make me smile, not sure why).

As for the possibility of adding in an ogryn type force to the army, anyone with more experience of the actual ogyrns can you tell me if they are equivalent size to an ORK NOBZ kit?

And anyone with experience with both ork and ogres could you possibly tell me if the Ogre heads would look too outlandish on an Nobz body?

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers.

Due to work commitments over the weekend I didnt make much progress on the painting, I did however finish GSing up the rough riders, I couldnt get a decent cape thing going on and decided to have them without the capes rather than a cape I wasnt satisfied with.

The horses will be similar colours but in different inensities/gradients of light. I have a very limited pallette for natural colours that would look right on a horse, but I can juggle up the mix to give each a unique colour. They'll be brown/khaki and anywhere in between

Sounds good. Have you looked into the fantasy Ogre kingdoms for Ogryns as they're about the same size and i think they'd look good with what you've already got. Plus lots of flesh to paint 8 pointed stars and chaos symbols etc.?

My issue with the Ogres as Ogyrns atm is that I cant seem to find decent compatible arms and guns to make them suitably 40K, they're the right size but without a decent kitbash plan they wont measure up to what I had been hoping for. The Crypt Horrors are more my style atm but again finding the right guns for them is whats slowing me down.

Having done a brief size comparison I have settled on using an Ork Nobz kit with a tonne of Greenstuff and some nifty gun conversions to create a beefed up (mixture of steroids, combat drugs and nurgle plague) squad of troopers to use as Ogryns. Plenty of bare flesh to paint up and disfigure. I'll be using a selection of Ogre heads I found off of ebay as they're fitting and characterful.

Good plan batman What about Ork loota guns? they have a, uniqueness, to them that might work well with your army's background. Plus they'd fit the Ork Nobs.

I'm thinking of downteching a tone of heavy weapons I have sat around from my Heavy Weapons Team, Sentinels and Leman Russ, using Ork gun handles/bodies as a basis for a grip and then utilising my various spare heavy flamers, lascannons etc with alot of spikes and ammo pouches strapped on.

Theme being a special forces unit that kept surviving and surviving despite horrendous odds, taking excessive amount of combat drugs and steroids to live in a constant state of battle and awareness. This constant abuse of their bodies has left them shattered wrecks of men, scavenging their gear to continue the fight but unable to see beyond the battle anymore. What was once elite is now merely a tool in someone elses plans.

They will be largely flesh, likely a little more tanned but I'm working on making pustules, sores and rashlike GS over them to make them look undead but intact. (Think dude that dies of plague but isnt eaten by carrion). The cultists are the most "alive" my army will look at this stage, and these guys are definitely significantly more dead than that.

Some fluff I'm working on, not sure how much I like it atm.

Pirate Queen Hestas - The Palace of Skulls
Plague Hulks - Soldiers of the Skull Queen.

The earliest records place the Pirate Queen Hestas as a member of Inquisitor Dimitiri Meirs retinue, having been picked up as a thug in a Hive world the inquisitor saved her the death penalty for a string of murders in exchange for her gun in his retinue. Whilst not the ideal acolyte her connections in the underworld across the imperium earnt her fear and respect amongst those she travelled with, and her skill with both gun and blade earnt her coin and power from the inquisitor to whom her allegiance was sworn. Having travelled with the Inquisitor for nearly a decade it was assumed she and the remainder of his retinue perished alongside the late inquisitor as the Fall of the Dark moon temple. Whilst investigating rumoured chaos taint and heretical worship the Inquisitor found himself making landfall amidst an ambush, the planetary populace had sworn their allegiance to the powers of chaos and forewarned of the inquisitors approach laid in wait. In retribution for the death of the Inquisitor the entire planetary populace was put to flame, their mark on the light of the Imperium erased for good.

It would be many a decade before Hestas came to like again, Trading Outpost 623.21a suffered a vicious uprising which saw the Rogue Trader previously managing it ousted in a fortnight of bloodshed. When the violence subsided Hestas remained as the new queen of the outpost, in the decade she had been missing she hadn't aged and yet had built up considerable power amongst pirates and corsairs. The Outpost was converted to a den of greed and corruption, merchants wishing to sell goods on the black market, gamblers, slavers and gladiators called the station home, all the while enjoying the protection granted by their insignificance in the eyes of the imperium, too far from roaming fleets to suffer for their crimes.

When the Chaos legions of The Immortal spread throughout the sector their plague struck rogue outpost first, those with little or no quarantine regulations let in refugees carrying nurgles blessings. Outpost 631.21 (Now known as the Palace of Skulls) fell swiftly, Hestas watching with cold detachment as those loyal to her succumbed to rotting plague, the station itself became a living organism, twisted bodies and screaming death masks fused with the walls themselves. Constantly writing and moaning in agony those strong enough to endure became hulking monstrosities of muscle and pain, the combat drugs already in their systems mutating with the plague, infecting those around them and converting mercenary and gladiator alike into combat slaves. It is not known why Hestas found herself immune to the plague, stranger still how she was unfazed by the plague hitting the station. Some say she was always aware of this... that a plan had been in place for decades, others say her soul was long since lost to chaos, and that the gods willingly took her in as one of their own.

Hestas now marches with her Hulking Guard amongst the Zombie Legions, her cold detachment and leadership skills helping to shape a shambles of rotting diseases and broken souls into an army worthy of fear and respect. As Hestas is a graceful killer her Hulks are an unstoppable force, together they have torn apart all who stood in their way.

OK, quick update on where I'm at. The Pirate Queen is middway through being constructed and has her first stage of GS applies, I still need to file/cut off the excess resin that is to be expected with Finecast but I'm happy with how she's developing.

Current counts-as Lord Commissar, Pistol and Power sword (currently on her hip)

The Ogryn Bodyguard are very much a WIP at the moment, and I havent taken delivery of the heads I'll be using just yet. I have however figured out their basic builds.

The guns are awaiting cleanup after the glue sets and then I'll GS any gaps and add in power cabelling/straps to hold them together, I'm also working on adding in more plague patches, spikes and horns across the ogryns.

Finally I need to file off the last of the Ork Glyphs, and strap these lads full of armour before the project is completed.

Still the pic pretty much sums up the WIP stage.

Basic framework for The Immortal (Primary Cultist) fluff

"The Immortal"

Rank - Primaris Cultist, Envoy to the Undying Father, Destroyer of Worlds.

Other Names: Tubek Raider, Scourge of Harillian, Plague Bearer.

Records cannot place when or where exactly the Immortal was first found, though rumours have now placed him on over 1000 worlds over the course of 100 years lending credence to the idea that it is a ceremonial title rather than just one man. It is known that wherever he travels death follows in his wake, a host to some of Father Nurgles most vile plagues he has been known to lay an entire civilization to waste within a fortnight without ever firing a single shot. For Decades the reports of his appearance had not been compiled, names like the Tubek Raider simply refereed to a crew of plague pirates hitting shipping lanes on the eastern fringe, the Scourge of Harillian was the title given to a Heretic who laid low the Independent Empire of Harillian Scavengers. It is only recently as the inquisition compiles are record on the plague spreading on the eastern fringe that Holo-vids have been examined, the lifeless skull crown he wears a mocking reminder on every single one.

It is thought Inquisitor Meir had been investigating the role of a prominent Plague Cultist prior to his demise, references to the laughing skull, to a plague unlike any other can be found throughout various scattered diaries he left for those who might follow in his wake. Though this itself led to the demise of the late inquisitor, and since his death electronic records of his exploits have inexplicably gone missing.

Inquisitorial Orders have worlds marked by The Immortal to be burned on contact, the plague must be contained. However it is his Charisma and ability to distort even the strongest mind to his will that proves to be the Imperiums greatest threat, containment battleship The Lance of Truth suffered catastrophic damage from internal sabotage when dispatched to attack a station rumoured to be hiding the cultist, its final transmissions show the senior officers detonating explosives strapped to themselves whilst atop the bridge, venting all senior staff into the voids of space and leaving the crew unprepared for the Heretics counter attack.

The Immortals path is seemingly without direction, attacking worlds of little or no strategic importance whilst ignoring some strong points he passes over. He seems to be playing cat and mouse with the inquisition, sending taunting messages in an attempt to lure them into increasingly reckless engagements. Whether his ego will ultimately prove his undoing has yet to be proven, for now the Plague of the Undying spreads unchecked.

Last Recorded Message: ""You killed us Inquisitor, you killed us all. And in our death throes we cried out to the universe for anyone who might grant us our revenge. The universe listened my old friend... the universe listened." Received Inquisitor Dimitri Meir, 48 Hours prior to his death.

Well that looks suitably freaky

My only critic is that the head on the necklace could maybe do with looking more dead as its abit too similar to the flesh in my opinion.

I can see what you mean, I still need to do final highlights on everything when the head is attached (I find it hard to finish one section of the model until its all ready to finish) at which point I might move the head up a shade lighter to make it more "dead" than the rest of the guy.

Been a bit delayed so I've only just finishing GSing a neck onto the Bonehead. The Ogre's head wasnt a great fit against the body and whilst the gaps werent visible front on I wasnt satisfied incase people chose to look sideways or from below (it happens I'm sure). Anyway with the last of my GS stock now depleted he has a neck, and as of tomorrow when it's set it'll be painted.

The theme you were going for has come through really well. I like

One thing though, is the hole in his back supposed to be there?

The hole in his back is my optional "do I put a chaos icon there today" hole, I have been going back and forth on it at the moment and since the icon itself came unstuck (over eagerness, unset GS, small pole) it's currently being held seperately to try.

For reference it's present in some of his incompleted photos but disappears like magic at the end >_>

Cheers for the comment.

Yeah, turns out I''m not too delicate when painting, popped it clear off the model and the icon went floppy before landing on my desk. It's all being fixed now and I'll paint it up when its dry, then I'll decide if he needs it back again.

Cheers guys, I'm sitting in the same state Progreen10, my GS is old and knackered so I've been picking at it as best I can. But I'm having to wait on payday to restock (at which point my wife and I are starting rival gorkamorka gangs). I plan to stock up on plasticard, greenstuff, modelling wire etc this month since I've burnt through my old supply way to quickly. Might also be work picking up a few more tools.

Some cleanup required but now everyone has a head! Woohoo.

My GS came from ebay but doesnt mix right, even not using the contact point I'm getting lumps that dont mix down when mixing up my GS, forcing me to forfeit about half of each mixture to prevent lumpy textures (I've used lumpy GS when making shoddy bandages, rotten flesh etc just to add to the texture)

Necks were a pain in the backside to try and add, made the mistake of glueing the head on first this time around which turned into just cramming GS into the gap until it overflowed and then trimming the excess. Fortunately the gaps themselves were only little and the rough textures work well for fat rolls in the necks.

Two projects I've been working on over the past couple of days, the first being the completed sentinel I placed into the Showcase yesterday:

And finally I've been working on my Pirate Queen (counts as Lord Commissar or Inquisitor depending on what codex I am planning to use). She's coming together quite well and looks unique enough despite bearing the army colours.

For all of the talk of bad finecast the two I've used thus far in this project have been relatively good. The Amber Wizard had a bend staff that just wasn't workable but taking away that hand left an otherwise perfectly cast model. And Isabella only had a little excess resin in places that had to be cut/filed away but in both cases I've have no bubbles/dramatic miscasts (my forge-world arms were originally ridden with faults but they rectified that no problem)

Yeah, I've had good experiences with Finecast too. Isabella is one of the riskier ones though. Anyway, nice work. Here's an idea for the Ogryns: an underslung jackhammer type thing.

Dzarn the Bloodied - Beastmen Pack Leader (Mercenary Faction)

Hestas - Pirate Queen (Lord Commissar)

The Immortal - Primaris Cultist Psyker

The Punisher - Traitor Ogryn Bonehead

Twins of Nurgle - Zombie Guardsmen Sergeant (Harker)

Made a little bit of progress so far, its not much but I've now painted another 2 of the cultists for my veterans squad, leaving just 3 cultists (15 traitors, 5 beastmen, 8 roughriders, 3 missile launchers and a tank) to paint.

I have been sidelined a little lately planning a gorkamorka modelling project with my wife, it seems like the best way to introduce her to small scale 40Kesque games (she likes orks) plus its one of the first games I played. Current aim is to tap the amazing ork resources between fantasy and 40K to plan out our gangs.

More on this and that soon!

Not as much as I'd like, at this stage I have most of my force assembled and sat in the display cabinet awaiting painting, and due to work commitments cant dedicate enough time to get a decent foothold on the whole project. But I am steadily eating away at it. Unfortunately conversions are what keep me motivated most of the time and given that I need to paint before I convert more I'll be dedicating more of my conversions to Orking up a GorkaMorka mob.

Using on of the spare Nobz heads I have lying around from my Ogryn conversion I have been working on my test scheme for my Ork mob.

Here's what I have so far:

Da Red Klawz!!!

While other Orks have tried to scavenge the components for their mighty war machines Da Red Klawz found themselves without a Mek Boy for direction. Instead they were forced to rely on the Cunnin' of their Boss, specialising in sneakin and thievin Da Red Klawz demonstrated remarkable cunning stealing from other mobz, often leaving a number of dead Ladz in their wake, ripped to shredz by the mighty Klawz from which the mob gained their name. Having "borrowed" a Mek on one of their "skavengin" trips Da Red Klawz are now ready to fight "Da Propa Way".

This is my first attempt at doing a larger amount of face paint/war paint on an ork, but I intend to have the three "Klawz" present on every boy in my mob.

Heh, sadly the reason I stopped doing Orks in the first place was a dislike of painting a few dozen boyz in green, it killed all motivation in me. If I can get the GorkaMorka gang done and then spread from there I might keep motivated, plus orks make a good break from the Renegades every once in a while.

Hrmm, ok this one I'm less sure of than the above named Waaagh Painted ork face. I have in the past been a little more lazy with my painting of ork guns, usually just a red plate and the rest in increasingly battered looking metal. Since I'm working on far fwer models this time I want to put as much effort as possible into each one (still capped by skill level).

As such I've been working on Waagh painting up the slugga for a test piece, I dislike the typical black/yellow hazards as its done alot, and instead tried a white/red paintjob (red for Red Klawz mob).

It's my first test, and even with thinning my paints down to near useless levels its a bit lumpy, I also lack the steady hand that other painters seem to have.

Well my Ork bitz have finally arrived today (I say finally, shipping was fast as always its just I'm impatient). My current working kits are spares from the Nobz box, and then a full box of Savage Orks and Ork Boyz (40K). This gives me a tonne of options and whilst I have to share these bits with a couple of others in making up GorkaMorka gangs I figured I'd get in first since it hit my wallet.

Up first I have the new Boss of my Mob, Sneakin Bossstompa, he first rose to prominence away from Junk town out in the wilds. Unable to gain a solid foothold in the Ork gangs already fighting for supremacy in "civilized" community he snuck through the night, entering a feral Ork community through a combination of cunnin and luck. In the dead of night he entered the Boss's shack and stabbed him repeatedly with his Klawz, claiming dominion over the small camp and returned to Junk town with his new found boyz in tow.

Sneakin BossStompa - Boss of Da Red Klawz

Head is currently just blutacked on but it'll be glued when I'm done with the skin across the rest of the body, I intend to carry the red war paint and prominence of claws as weapons across the rest of the gang.

Cheers, I should have the Boss done by the end of the night and then can see what went well/badly to carry over to the rest of the boyz. I also need to assemble some of my wifes mob at some point in the evening so she can have a go at painting.

I ran out of Spray Primer and lack the effort needed to do it by brush on my next two members of the mob, torso/head aside these largely came from my bitz box from the day of old when I collected Orks. I'm working out a little background for each boy as I go just to get a theme working in my head.

First up:

Name: Grotsmart Pinchukka
Weapons: Multiple Stikkbombs, Knives.

Once feared as a gun savvy boy Grotsmarts downfall was his curiosity, skilled with a slugga since he was a Yoof he one day came across a stikkbomb buried in the dirt. Eager to test this weapon of destruction he pulled the pin out and threw it into a junk heap. It was only barely in time that he realised the bomb still remained in his hand, and with the pin nowhere to be seen he chucked the bomb. The detonation destroyed his fancy hairsquid and robbed him of what he called his "seein eye" (Multiple Docs contest this fact, stating that the remaining eye could have contributed upto 50% of his seeing ability). Never the smartest boy Grotsmart has now vowed to master the Stikkbomb, hanging up his slugga and loading himself full of explosives every time he goes into battle.

Name: Snagit Big'un
Weapons: 'Uge Choppa, Slugga, Armour.

Not much is known about Snagit, he always seems to be following in tow behind Bossstompa, even before Da Red Klawz rose to infamy. His most recent exploits involve "Da Tamin O Da Beast". When fighting Da Ghost Ladz for territory Snagit was nearly run down by a rogue Trukk, not one to let this offense stand he dug his Uge Choppa into the back plating of the trukk, behind dragged along behind it for miles through rubble and dirt before eventually managing to pick off the driver with his slugga. Despite having lost the trukk when it impacted with a nearby rockface Snagit claims that for "A Gud While" that trukk was his.

Cheers, Gorkamorka was my favourite game back when its trukks were pretty much the peak of ork models (good old days). Since I found GW have released the rules to download and couldnt locate my old books I decided to start working toward a playable force. Not overly looking forward to the cost of modern ork vehicles but as a modelling/gaming project GorkaMorka (and Necromunda) is just so appealing for the ability to field a small force.

I'll be using the standard Orks as Meks/Yoofs since they're a shade smaller than the savage ones for my Boys (and Meks arent that tough anyway). I do hope to work on a bike/sidecar buggy when I have my infantry done but that is more an idea than a plan at the moment.

Got most of the skin done tonight (if you dont count the hands), I'll finish him off when I have better light (not to mention my hand becomes less steady the more tired I get). I'm happy with how his skin is turning out, possibly the best ork skinwise I've done yet.

Still no primer, and no luck on it till payday now so I'm making my way slowly through conversions to work out my force. I've now planned by starting Mob and am picking out the parts I'll have to lay claim to in order to make them. For now I've asembled my wife's boss at her request, presenting for opinions:

Name: Krusha Killa
Wargear: Klawz o' Doom (Counts as Uge Choppa), Six Shoota)

Krusha Killa is the epitome of Ork brutality, well known for chocking boyz who has disappointed him he found the practice to be becoming rapidly more dull, the feeling of a Boyz neck cracking just wasn't doing it for him any more. After a particularly brutal beating of a Yoof for theft of a prized squig he requested the Dok build him some "Klawz O Doom" or as he fondly calls them "Da Squeezin Klawz". Now in a position to call a gang to follow him Krusha Killa rules with fear.

I've also managed to finish painting up my own ork, now visible in the showcase but its nice to get him finished in the same thread he started:

Sneakin BossStompa:

And finally my planned list for Da Red Klawz at starting:

Nob: Sneakin Bosstompa (17 teef)
Kannon, Six Shoota, Knife

Boy: Grotsmart Pinchucka (8 Teef)
Knives, Stikkbomb

Boy: Snagit Bigun (9 Teef)
Uge Choppa, Slugga

Spanna: Wotzdat Burnin (9 Teef)
Spear, Bow (Driver: Deff Wagon), Studded Armour

Spanna: Gotza Bitz (11 Teef)
2 x Slugga (Gunner: Deff Wagon), Studded Armour

Yoof: Runtin Doza (7 Teef)
Shield, Studded Leather Armour, Shoota

Yoof: Stabbit Arda (6 Teef)
Shield, Studded Leather Armour, Spear

Deff Wagon (33 Teef)
Rokkit Launcher

Current WIP, I have two of the Yoofs and one of the Spannas sorted:

In the contention for Nob is the newly modelled 'Ead Boy, some say that he milks squigs to oil his head piece, other that you can find him howling at the far end of the skid on a full moon. All we know is, he's called the 'Ead Boy.

I'm quite likely to be using this boy as the leader, and downgrading Sneakin Bossstompa to a boy, the head piece carries the tribal theme quite well and the overly huge choppa/slugga scream "I'm da 'ardest"

Looking really good. I loved Gorkamorka even though I am not generally a fan of Orks, the gameplay was great and it's very cool to see a contemporary version of it.

I guess you are going to use the current trukk model or something similar rather than the tiny trukks from the original game? I just ask because the original figures all used tiny bases so they could fit in their tiny trukk, plus they were all tiny themselves. It looks like you could fit about two of you your gang in one of those old trukks.

Yeah the plan is to use all of the current sized 40K models in the place of the miniature Gorkamorka ones, this does mean having to custom build any buggies/trakks that I want to use since the existing 40K ones are still the old Gorkamorka ones. It does however give me the chance to use the nice 40K Ork Trukk.
