A Tale of X Gamers

SO, Ive been walking with this idea for a while now. The plan is to make our own dakkadakka version of the painting competition of 'a Tale of X Gamers'.

What is A Tale of X Gamers?
A Tale of X Gamers (ATG for short) is a painting competition in wich a group of gamers starts making building and painting an army. The goal is to get, in the time in wich the competition runs, a big and nicely painted army. At the end, one of the gamers will win, probably (lets hope so ) the best one. Ofcourse, this is all for fun.

For how long will this version run?

This version wil run from the 1st of May 2012 to the 31st of October 2012. Gamers will post updates every while, be it every week, once in the 2 weeks, or once each month. How many times you show your army updates does not matter, but make it at least once in a month. If your on a holiday, tell it before you go. Ofcourse, the more you update, the more people will see your work, and the more votes you may get at te end of the competition.

How do you join?

Joining is simple: just tell you want to join ATG and with what army. After that, prepare yourself for painting and assambling!

I will warn you guys now, my painting is kind of bad, and my wallet is a little tight, I don't plan on winning, but this sounds like a fun way to make my painting skills better (I will have a reason to try to paint well!), but I might have a spike near the beggining of july (birthday)

I've just noticed that we are supposed to be starting new armies? Mine is kind of part done (nnothing is fully painted and most of it is not built yet) - does this matter?

If you like WOC, you should enjoy the Iron warriors. So many bits were cannibalised from my warrior sprues. The Chaos Warrior kit has to be my favorite kit the overlords at GW have ever released. SO MANY BITS! *.*

Hehe I'll have to look forward to that then, I don't have my warriors yet.. I have a army box I just don't "have" it yet xD, maybe ill get it tomorrow I have to go pick it up from a friend that lives annoyingly far away lol.

Last night i built some chaos from the battle force box, some thousand sons and a daemon prince, gotta build the berzerkers, fabius bile and a few tactical chaos marines. Will post pics later on tonight.

From what I can see. The guardsman could use a wash for the red and green abd a glaze for each. Other than that, the santa guard looks good!

Santa guard? must be the pictures. I'll do some more wasing on the green, the red color gets washed out by my fantastic fotographic abliaties.

Finished squad!!! [well sort of]
They still need to be primed and made beautiful, painting however will be painstakingly slow so don't expect to many uptdates from me. I used a combination of beastmen parts and plastic space marine bits to complete my desired berzerker look, overall I like the feel of the models.
As always, What does dakka think?

Started working on My Ulthwe wraithlord, but my phone hates me. Probably getting an Iphone tomorrow, so I can take pics and upload them. Cross my fingers!
edit: Very selfish post of me. Very nice looking Zerkers Tech guard, the axes add a lot to the squad, a friend of mine stole a big choppa, slugga, and power claw from our ork player, very nice models them zerkers are.

One of many >.< 19 more to go, these are my converted gors to wield 2 handed (beastigor) weapons for use in my mix n match marauder unit.

Finished building My Night spinner, so Now I need to paint it. Wraith lord coming Along nicely. That thing looks really cool, I like the nice earthy colors.

-Chaos Lord on Manticore
-Daemon Prince
-2 exalted heroes on steeds, one with bs
-15 warriors
-9 chosen (warriors count-as, have some chaos knight shields on their back)
-20 marauders
-5 marauder horsemen
-10 warhounds
- 8 knights
-warshrine (ogre kingdoms stonehorn with 2 riders)

Painted the test model! Only the green is done, the other colours are just basecoated.

yeah i had some left over from a previous army, but they were already painted DA thats why their taking so long to build

An update from me, no guardsmen, I'v been having a fantasy painting mood, so some empire swordsmen and chaos warrior shield test.
