Killyhammer. Honestly this is a really killy edition, vehicles get hull points, cover is nerfed, power weapons can be +2 strength or AP 2 and +1 strength, snap fire, 2D6 charge range, allies. In the end it adds up to a very killy game.

Really, 2D6 charge range, and a "spell" section at the back of the book? I thought GW was trying to separate fantasy and 40k ...

Honestly, I'm gonna call this version of WH40k 6th, 6e, 6th edition, or some variation depending on what sounds right. Where the specific edition is not necessary to mention, I'm gonna call it WH40k , 40k , Warhammer 40k , Warhammer 40,000, or something like that.
Just like I called 5th edition 5e, or 4th edition 4e, or 3rd edition... well, when I played in 3e, I didn't really know about editions, so I just called it 40k ...
I don't have any nickname planned out for 6th edition, and while a lot of the stuff in this thread has given me some very nice laughs - in a good way - I don't see that changing for me. I have come to call some WH40k stuff by a nickname, like the Stormraven (I call it the Chibi-hawk cause it looks like a stubby, short Thunderhawk, and it's fun to say, though that nickname was something I read on a forum somewhere), but... I got nothing for 6e.

Wonderful image of a squad of
Tac marines mowing down rank upon rank of infantry. Back when I was getting into this, the 'Warhamer is part of the
40K universe' was still considered kinda canon in my gaming group. I never really liked it in general, but it was fun to occasionally dream up little scenarios that blended the two worlds. Plus, there was the old 'Sigmar is one of the missing Primarchs' theory.

"woah, that was some super cool flashy explody thing, what? why did it happen? who knows, I don't know why that tank fell apart under bolter fire either but it sure made those Space Marines look epic!"
This is the one if only we assume that in the supposed Bay movie chaos marines want nothing but to Look Out for their Sir when being shot at.

Wardhammer is pretty good.
Gunhammer. To exalt the ascendency of the gunzors.
Or my personal favorite: *hammer.

Good effing god the games take forever now. Premeasure makes me want to kill myself as my opponent takes 3 months to move his one GD M-effing unit.

THAT game. Played by THOSE people.
Said in the same tone I use for all of those CCGs and their players.
Not the hushed reverence I use for games I actually want to play.
