Well, this is certainly a curious thing. For starters, it's a massive list and contains a LOT of WTF so paradoxically, that makes me lean towards cautious optimism. We've not seen manufactured rumors this extensive before. if you were going to invent something, would you do it like this? I don't know, frankly.
And all of them have product codes, too. I suppose you could see if they really are unique or whether our funster has gotten bored and started copypasting them, either off somewhere in the list or real products.

I'm perfectly content to entertain the possibility that this might be real, just on the off chance, because an universe where this is real is more interesting than an universe where this is fake and we still know nothing about what's to come. No money's at stake either way, nor would the cofirmed veracity of this document affect my purchasing decisions all that much.
On the up side, if this is real, what we have here are maybe a year or two of releases for two systems. As soon as any one of those product codes gets used, we'll know.

It could be an allies supplement, either in WD or a standalone book.
Oh, and there's a rumour from the same guy posted elsewhere that someone at GWHQ was fired over a massive leak - given this massive leak, he was probably referring to this (or posting a second lie to bolster the first, if you want to be pessimistic).

I would have thought a Citadel Miniatures list, no matter how back office, would still have FC (for Finecost) rather than RE. That said, matching the two does make some sense. Flash forward to now, and none of it has turned out to be true, even the stuff that sounded reasonable, so I'm glad I didn't post it. It's because of that experience that I am sceptical of this. Oh sure, I'd like this to be true. The mere mention of Cult Hybrids and Deathwatch gets me all excited, and the thought of new terrain kits makes my mouth water (I am a total terrain junkie). But... I just can't believe it... except for the fact that the Hobbit stuff is so extensive and covers so much ground; ground that, as HMV said, we shouldn't know. And then some of the 40K things gel with some rumours we've been hearing. A greater emphasis on allies? Imperial agent entries. We've heard about a new Kroot unit - Kroothawks (in Finecost, sadly, if the rumours are true). It shows numerous Eldar units that we've heard about (and some we haven't). It mentions a bigger Grotesque unit, something we've heard about. It mentions more plastic Ork vehicles that we've heard about, and then adds things we haven't heard about which makes it seem more likely. Would GW release 3 plastic kits for Orks? Maybe, but would they release 3 plastic kits, two of which can make two different things? Definitely. We've heard of plastic Greater Daemons before - they're there. Someone would have had to collect and collate every existing rumour, write it into a list, then make up a whole lot of Hobbit stuff for this to be fake. But it's also too perfect. It's frustrating. There is nothing here that can't be inferred from previous LotR releases or the Hobbit book, I doubt that GW will get into much trouble about what has been leaked but they may get into bother over the leak itself.
GW should do this officially every year.

Will they be in the film? Doubtful. I think that Bloodghost wraith would be more his Mr Wards style.
I expect that the films will mirror the book quite closely (with obvious padding) so its difficult or impossible to work out which 'extra' releases will show up in the films, if any.

I don't know if anybody else picked up on this but in the 6th edition rulebook BT do not get their own section (whilst BA and SW do). Neophytes and Sword Brethren could well end up being new SM units with BT folded back into the main book instead of being a stand-alone force?

The thing that 'worries' me most from what I've seen is the possible inclusion of The Cabal (assuming they're the same that contacted the Alpha Legion) within the Tau.
It would make sense considering tbe Tau resistance to Chaos and the Cabal's opinion on Chaos, but it would need to be handled well IMHO.

Unless they get a release in the next 8 months or so (during which we are also expecting DA and CSM), I think it's not looking good for Tau. Looks like a WD update at best, at least for awhile. A few things to give them new toys from 6th to play with, and an update of a couple of existing kits.

It could certainly be a first wave, but I'd expect it well into 2014. Keep in mind you have at least 3 full codex releases already represented in that list ( SM, Orcs, Eldar), and that's starting halfway through 2013. Even with a ramped up release schedule, I think that's stretching it a bit.

Looks like iron hand and salamanders are getting some love. We have the medusa land raider, bionics upgrades, and possibly the first hand being a new name for Morlocs. We have tu Shan and the veteran pack that sound salamandery along with some veterans with fire in their names. Shattersky cannon for anti fliers.
I don't wan to be a bummer but everyone keeps thinking genes teller cults for the upgrade kits, couldn't they be for chaos cults?

Between the "hybrids" the mention of imperial agents, mechanicum, komissar, and deathwatch... These strike me as units that are intended to be used as allies and not necessarily a specific codex... I feel it's reaffirmation of an Allies book mentioned in the Tau thread.

Anyway!
The list had sooooo much awesome in it. I have to hope that it's real. Keeping in mind that this is June 2013 and forward, that should give me time to save money for purchases. It's bad enough that I have a CSM army for upcoming stuff, the Eldar will increase the pain. I own every Eldar model made, so I must continue the tradition with everything that's new. The SM releases will hurt also as my 22k+ of Blood Angels require all Vanilla SM to be included for flavor.
Some of the names on the new things have more than piqued my interest just based off that alone. Terminator First Hand, Defender Upgrade Pack, Praetor Warmchine, Land Avenger, Land Raider Medusa, Bionics Upgrade (my IW will love this), and the Eldar PL's/Black Warden.
Can't wait to start seeing models for these things!

Okay, so in review, this document was supposedly on scribd previously and two 'lurkers' (i.e. low post count) from TORN.net showed up, one asking for it and one providing it.
The terms in the document don't show up on the net until about 22 hours ago when the thread was started and the pastebin created. No record on scribd and it usually maintains cache on google for a while. No way GW got a C&D on scribd before it was cached.

No, it is three new sisters kits with two indicating new units. No idea if the actual new book or WD update will have more units than just Patronica and Catalfalque (which I had to look up, A decorated platform or framework on which a coffin rests in state during a funeral). For all we know, the equivalent of strike squads are available through the sisters squad. Either way, this is nothing to complain about since it is the biggest release since C: WH and contains the holy grail, plastic sisters kits.

Interesting that it lists an Avatar of Khaine AND an Avatar of the Young King. So maybe the latter, rumored-to-be-smaller miniature is a cheaper, downsized Avatar, a la a Tyranid Prime?

There could be three heavy weapons in the Sisters box (or even four, like how the GK box has 2 Psycannons), meaning Retributors can be built from the one box. And Dominions/Celestians with extra baubles and add-on bits.
You could get one box that services up to 4 units.

As has been said - these are listed as "Hybrids" and then right under that entry it says "Patriarch". So, whilst it is possible that they have nothing to do with Genestealer Cults, those two words (Hybrids and Patriarch) are specifically part of Genestealer Cults.
Therefore, through a process of logical deduction, we can assume that they are more likely (but not guaranteed) to be Genestealer Cult models before they are any other type of model.

Well your basic sisters box can make a unit from every part of the FOC, be it bodyguards, celestians, sisters, dominions or retributors. Also the Imperial agents seems incomplete, I'm guessing there will be Arbites (maybe a repressor too) at least, which could be in the codex, not to mention Ecclesiarchy could be included.

true. GK got, what? 3 plastic kits, couple of blisters (okay, and they borrowed the BA chicken)? That range works just fine, no complaints about a lack of models or diversity really.
sisters are similar in 'dex makeup. all just infantry in the same armour, with different weapons. The jet-pack chicks get their own kit (which will add some diversity after leg swaps with the regulars, I guess?) and what else would you want in terms of infantry? there's a rhino already, an immolator already and the twenty KG of insane metal organ is getting plasticified so it sounds like a nice and complete line-up to me.

GW may well be trying to rewrite them a bit or do something to downplay them from the Genestealer Cultists we know. I know... subtlety isn't GW's thing, Part of it is Genestealer cultist don't fit as well into the Tyranid fluff anymore... so I could see GW rewriting them to being more in the way of alien worshipping cultists who simply graft alien bits on... thus giving them a bit broader use than the only available Tyranid ally to being something that could sneak into a couple more armies.

The word in the other place is that since the first wave of Tau is already being manufactured, it doesn't appear in the list. The same goes for most of the Chaos Space Marines release, and presumably the entire Dark Angels release. Sisters could also have some kits already in production, since they're probably next up after Tau.
Looking at the packaging codes reveals a fair bit. The Avatar of Khaine is a resin boxed set - presumably similar in size to the Forgeworld model, while the Avatar of the Young King is resin character model. The Eldar Spirit Warrior is a Land Raider sized box. A whole bunch of the Space Marine releases are Land Raider sized boxes. The Astartes Battle Fortress Cathedral is a huge terrain kit, while the other two Battle Fortress kits are Land Raider sized.

Mel, you're freaking out and jumping to conclusions over nothing. There are rumours of an "Allies" Codex, and this listing fits with that with all the Imp Agent, Cabal, Deathwatch and other things.
Sisters are likely to be separate from that group, and a small-scale release (like the Grey Knight release) makes sense. GK only got three plastic kits: Grey Knights (from which you can make 4 different units), Grey Knight Terminators (from which you can make 2 different units) and the Dreadknight (from which you can make a Baby Carrier). On top of that they got three characters (Draigo, Crowe and the Space Monkey).
A smaller release like that isn't outside the realms of possibility, and if the basic kits (especially the main Sisters box) is as flexible as the GK box, then you have nothing to worry about.

What makes me very hopeful about these 40k miniatures is the whole 'we're rolling back to 2nd ed' thing that GW did with 6th edition. Also, given things like Jokero popping up again, I think GW's finally realising nostalgia can be good for business. Jervis ascendant seems to mean good for randomness, nostalgia, narrative and background but bad for solid rules, fluidity of play and balance.
I think it would be great if they could somehow just totally isolate their LotR/Hobbit stuff and separately document it, so that the rest of the games (the ones I'm actually interested in) can be occasionally 'leaked' or have some more teasers. I don't give a stuff about the New Line Cinema based games unless there's a model I can potentially convert.
Also, GW, Give the Orks back our Clans!! (I'm hopeful that Kommissa is a sign of the Blood Axe revival).

Not even GW is stupid enough to withhold releases they already paid for and scheduled for release just because there was a leak. The problem is that they are releasing the furies as a dual kit with the second unit having a name I do not recognize from the current books. It could certainly be a first wave, but I'd expect it well into 2014. Keep in mind you have at least 3 full codex releases already represented in that list ( SM, Orcs, Eldar), and that's starting halfway through 2013. Even with a ramped up release schedule, I think that's stretching it a bit.
I think you guys are missing the obvious - that the codex is coming out in March, April or May, and those five Tau releases are just the tail end of a much larger release of new models that comes with the new codex.

Disagree. The "head" is in effect a sensor pod and a vital component that must be exposed to some degree to be functional.

Well I for one am skeptical but that doesn't mean it's a cool thing to talk about. I'd also like to say that it's not unlikely that some of this stuff could be moved around or canceled, not because GW found out we know their "Just As Planned" but because GW doesn't always have a concrete plan that they stick to at all costs. They do what they think will make them the most money.
Even if you believe the recent roomers about shuffling the CSM codex with chaos Daemons and the starter set, that's a 3 month period that has been put out of whack by a list not even a fourth the size of that one. This list is an estimated 2 years worth of product that at the EARLIEST we think might be scheduled for next summer. All sorts of delays shuffling cancelations and shelving could take place between then and now.
Not to squash anyone’s dreams but they could easily put off anyone of those products indefinitely for additions, simply by shelving the product and waiting for a "better time" to release them (looking at you plastic SoB). So I not only take this rumor with a grain of salt, I also take it with the full understanding that even if it is legitimate that this list is simply a snap shot into the workings of, the almost definitely, multi-million, if not billion dollar company. When that much cash is on the line you can plan all you want (having something like this for a general guideline) but you never look at something like this as set in stone.
Still cool to speculate and salivate over what's looking to be a year jam packed with awesome models.

If there are plastic sisters of battle coming I'd be worried that they'll be scaled down to a box of five figures but cost the same as say Grey Knights, Sanguinary guard, Death company. If done this way a sisters army will be ridiculously expensive to put together.

Again, if this list is legit, then all those products are on the release and manufacturing schedule. Generally speaking, in a big company, once something gets greenlighted, it takes a pretty big feth up to pull it off the list.

also, also, Let's look at the update we just had, that makes back-to-back model releases, I think GW has finally decided to step up their game and start pouring out the product. If they manage to swamp us with enough new stuff we'll be stuck trying to play catch up while trying to make sure we have money to eat. Meanwhile, they'll have enough time to sit around and take it easy for a while, whilst we scramble like mad for their stuff.
I hope this is real, because its really a win win for players and company.

It seems rather plausible to me that this is the list of minis that had to be shifted in the production schedule because hobbit has 3 movies now and not 2. If fantasy is on a upgrade schedule say 9th ed july 2014, or 2015 and GW wants all the armies done by then, they wouldn't shift their schedule as a new edition is already underway (designwise).
However since 40k just had 6th ed drop and the Hobbit must be shifted due to movie concerns I see this list as "these things need to be refigured out release-wise" Also maybe why someone thought it might not be the end of the world to show a buddy (since it's no longer valid.) I would assume GW would know before the public did that Hobbit is expanding, and all of these models are in some form of production (a 3 year timescale seeming logical) and If a new edition for fantasy is coming out within 3 years, that would have to be stuck to it (like the models coming out in the next 9 months.) Hence no Fantasy info on this sheet and also why the numbers don't match standard stock numbers.
If this is true, all these models will be released however the timeframe stated will not be correct, and we might see an actual shifting of release date.

I see your point regarding the "Hybrid". I thought it could simply be referring to a Finecast add on pack. They used to refer to metal/plastic kits as hybrid. I used to own a Genestealer Cult army back in the day, and would love if they would bring them back. Cheers.

It covers the non-Fantasy releases from June 2013 several months into the future. It lists plastic and resin releases with packaging codes and codes where these are produced (len for Lenton and Xian for the Chinese production facility).
Cult Hybrid upgrade is plastic, so it is a plastic kit of hybrids, not a hybrid kit of cults.
List includes second waves for Tau, CSM, third wave Daemons, first wave for Sororitas, plus full releases for Eldar, SM and Orks.
List also includes the full release for the "Codex Allies" predicted by Stickmonkey and Straightsilver.
List also includes the SciFi terrain predicted by Harry and made likely by the 6th edition rulebook (5th edition releases focussed on introducing flyer models, 6th edition will focus on releasing terrain).
Oh, concerning Sororitas: There has been rumours for a long time that Grey Knights get Inquisition and Sororitas will get more Ecclesiarchy units. These are not yet covered in this list, but I believe they will come.
I will post a more detailed discussion in the respective threads on Tau Eldar and (the newly created) Codex Allies.

Some things to consider.
That is a long list, from June 2013 or so until at least 4 Codices beyond, which is probably 18 - 24 months.
Others have already parsed out a notional sequencing.
No plastic character kits for 40K. I don't believe that, since I think they do very well for WHB.
I'm sure the list is legit, meaning it represents content in the pipeline.
I think the SOB release is like the GK one...three plastic kits that make 8 units. Bing, bang, boom. Done. Hope the plastics are fantastic, though. Always been a great concept, and the players have been waiting a long time.
Imperial Agents. Raw speculation ahead...if they are serious about adding some fun to the game and boosting WD, this is the perfect mechanism to do so. An Imperial Agents minidex, spread across a few WD, with ACTUAL releases, would be a great start. Then the Cabal stuff could be a Xenos counterpoint or something.
Very little DE or IG, no Necrons, no Tyranids. From that, I would presume that the near term flyer release will cover those armies, and maybe something else for them. IG may have a wave soon, and they must be just on the other side of this window. Because Orks, Eldar, and SMs are all on the docket, and those are the big classic three.
Nothing on the mini chapters except BT, and that does not seem enough for a full release. I won't speculate on whether BT go back into SM.
Thrilled to see a Solitaire as a release. I do not remember if that is in the Codex. Or will she find rules in WD.
As a Marine player, I see a lot of stuff I love. Techmarine in plastic, Deathwatch in plastic, bionics. I have high hopes for that DW kit. Some high tech helmets and armor, some Xenos-specific weapons (like the fusil) and tech, and hopefully a crap-ton of new shoulderpads for some esoteric chapters. I wish listing on those weapons and tech, but why else make special rules and a plastic kit for DW. Hope springs eternal.
In truth, though, this is getting excited about next Christmas, instead of the one in front of us. The starter set and Chaos are the near term "gets". Some of these other great sound releases are probably 2.5 years away or so. No need to get spastic about that. The second Avengers film will be out before some of this.
Still, nice to be excited about the future. Some of these are bound to be incredible sculpts (and yes, some will probably be not so great). Suck it, corporate marketing department. Which is probably just the A.W.E.S.O.M.-O 4000.

And yes, this is a huge issue for HQ. it really depends on the language of their contract with NL. They might not care about the words as much as the visuals. In truth, some level of rumormongering would probably vent this a little. The lid is so tight, when it blows, it blows big.
But that doesn't make it right. Someone just probably hurt the company, possibly financially, and that will have consequences.

Some news appeared last week (or the week before) saying how the single-frame plastic characters are now a thing of the past, as they were just a "stop gap" measure. They really can't do the single plastic frame for 40k because Fantasy needs to be static and rank up where 40k players want dynamic poses and the figure needs to be wysiwyg which really limits what you can do. You're right, but there are some releases where a plastic version wouldn't be bad. Blood Angels come out - single-frame plastic Sanguinary Priest. Tau comes out - single-frame plastic Ethereal (would have three different staff heads, or even two different head-dresses). And so on.

I believe you, but it really doesn't make sense. Some of those Nelson sculpts for WHFB are truly among the best miniatures ever produced. It would be a shame to not use that technology to make some 40K HQ figures.

Just curious, but if this is their release plan, would it not include all the potential codex releases, I mean, we have a list of all the models to be out in the next two years but no mention of which books (if any) will be out. Just a thought.

I think this list not including any WHFB models was the bigger clue as to it not being a complete list of all GW's releases...

I think it was on Warseer where I read posted it has to do with the codes.
The cutoff on the sheet was before a certain set started and below that were the WHFB and some other items.

While it would be great to make the same quality 40k HQ figures...I don't see it happening. I just do not see it.
Why? Because the majority of the HQs can already be made straight out of the standard boxed sets.
The only exception are special characters, which quite frankly in 40k usually merit a kit of their own in metal/resin/superspacehappydetailpowders due to having some unique/bizarre loadouts in terms of their equipment.
That's a far cry from the plastic kits we've had released for WHFB, barring the Cairn Wraith and Tomb Banshees which are unit options which also have to potentially rank up and still look generic enough to be a "unit" while having options which make them recognizable as heroes(I personally like the Necron-y facemask for the hero version of the Cairn Wraith), which have generally been generic enough that they could in fact have been made from some light converting.
I'd love to see some plastic heroes. I really would. But I'm just not seeing where it would really be worthwhile in 40k--at least with the Finecast/metal versions/plastic kits that already exist in play.

I just had a horrible brainwave.

There is the rumour of the Sisters WDex going I-book digital.
