Most interesting/crazy person you've dated @ 2012/08/14 05:53:53

Post by: xole

Well, in commemoration of reaching 200 posts without getting banned, I thought I'd start a thread in my new favorite part of dakka.

So, what is the most interesting and/or crazy person you've ever dated?

I'd start but mine have been sadly boring. I'm working on finding more crazy people though.

Feel free to discuss! I'd hate this to be a "x happened" thread where no one pays attention to what the other people are saying.

Well, to expand on what I said in the other thread.

A bisexual girl in gender studies that also happened to be a hooker. I had just come out of a relationship, and she was incredibly direct about her attraction toward me, so I went with it. It was actually one of my best relationship, to date, mostly because that girl was incredibly intelligent, and was one hell of a debater, even if some of the stuff she said was utterly crazy. But 2 months in I knew I'd get attached, so we parted ways.

Both very interesting and very crazy.

Mmmm I attract psychos like a lamp attracts moths.

1st Serious GF: Former lesbian who's life I saved twice, left me for another girl who was in the hospital with her, last any one heard of her she was on drugs somewhere.

1st (and last) wife: I could write a book on her psycho. Abusive, tried to kill me with a frying pan, started cheating on me two weeks after the honeymoon, slept with approximately half my base, wrecked the house when she left and most oddly left the dog's tags on the hooks for their leashes... creepy as hell.

Interesting: Ex-fiancee from a tiny mining town in Alaska (population seven or so) extremely intelligent, completely under her mother's thumb.

I mean, I knew who she was well before we started dating. I got in by being the only guy that didn't ask her "Are you related to Walter?"

Is this another Dakka meme I don't know off, like 'BLAME THE VICTIM'?

If not, you could also just go with the 'interesting' side of the question.

A very interesting redhead many years ago.

Fiery (but not crazy), passionate (but not crazy) and quite intelligent, too. Hated any of the usual redhead nicknames (as they do).

Relationship lasted about a year. She was good for me - we're still friends.

I don't - as a rule - get involved with psycho girls. That's my brother's role in life. He had this uncanny knack to piss off both redheads he's known (married one of them). Although the one he married wasn't crazy - she was also a lawyer.

Don't piss off the redhead lawyer - especially if you are married to her.

About the craziest i dated (only twice, so not enough to even consider a gf) was this mormon chick....thing is, she invited me to a 'church picnic' and i had no idea, as to that point she had only said she went to church....

She was also a model (she actually was in an ad in some teen girl targeted magazine)...combine mormon and model, and you've got one crazy girl.

Once I was in Niche in Sheffield, a club notorious for stabbings and general bad stuff (DJ stands behind a caged window for example) and was getting off with this girl in there. She told me her dad owned the club then started showing me photos of here seven children (she was about 20). I tried to bail as I didn't want to be on the Jeremy Kyle show and then she 'ordered' a bouncer to stop me. Then four of them dragged me outside and beat me up. So yeh that's the craziest girl I didn't date. My girlfriends have actually been all right on the crazy level, honestly.

Not my own experience, but i was told by a friend that when his GF found he was cheating on her, she sat down with a stack of his CD's / DVD's and phoned him up when she knew he wasnt at home. She asked him if he was cheating on her, each time he said "no" she snapped a disc in half. She got to about 26 discs snapped before he gave her the right answer....

The first girl I "dated" after my divorce I met on a dating site.

She was 10 years older than the age on her profile and 50+ pounds heavier than her profile picture. She took her bipolar medication with her seven and seven at the bar. I told her I wasn't interested in having dinner with her and left after my drink. I made sure profile pictures were recent after that.

Another girl I met through a friend of a friend sort of thing was a former stripper that spent 6 months in the crazy house in her youth. I found all of this out after a few dates. Very talented young lady, but 14 years was too much of an age difference (she was very immature). Ah well.

Other dates I've had were perfectly normal, I'm afraid.

I'm just quirky enough that REALLY crazy chicks seem to avoid ME. The craziest girl I've actually dated is my wife. She once threw a bunch of gak and broke up with me just to have make up sex. Since I packed up all my stuff and was about to lead for good before she clued me in to the plan, it just came off crazy. She's just hyper emotional, now I just know to ride the roller coaster and be there when she comes down. She reminds me a lot of the character Gloria from Modern Family.

My roommate in Savannah found some real winners though. For his 20th birth anniversary we took him to a titty bar where one of our.coworkers wife worked and a stripper broke, BROKE! A belt across his back and later heated up and branded him with a lighter. He dated her for two months. THEN he started dating some columbian chick. She would get high (on coke, way to live a stereotype) and they'd have crazy sex; then she came at him with a knife and got him in the side. Hot, but totally psycho.

Another one of our co-workers married a girl we ALL knew was crazy. They started to be on the splits and one day he comes to work wit a black eye and some lame ass story he got jumped at a bar. A week later he has a broken arm. I swear to God she made him put his arm in the door and slammed it after whipping the gak out of him. I dropped him off at his place a week later and his door was kicked in. The place was tossed and that crazy bitch was waiting in the dark on the couch. I called the cops and we put him in the barracks to protect him from his abusive spouse. Bwahhahah.

This is a dangerous thread... my ex's brother is on these forums >.>

(for the record: She ISN'T crazy, she just has problems, I have a possible diagnosis for her that seems to fit (given to me by a therapist that I had to see to work through the problems she's caused for me) but its not my place to discuss that)

Well, to make a long story short, I met this girl online in October/November, we hit it off instantly. She warned me going in that she had depression issues, etc. and I was like, "It happens to the best of us" and went for it full steam ahead, even though it ended up being long distance a couple months later when I graduated college (in December). First couple months were great, I was absolutely totally in love with her like I've never been with anyone or anything else... then things started getting shaky. She had a suicidal episode in March after we had a fight, had to call the cops, afterwards she insisted she wasn't suicidal, then that she was, then that she wasn't, last time we spoke about the subject (about a month ago) her stance was that she was grateful that I did what I did. Convinced her to get therapy/get antidepressants, she had a reaction to the stuff in April/May and went legitimately psycho on me, told me that she had fallen out of love with me long ago, and that she was a slut and wanted to do drugs (I'm talking hard drugs here), etc. and did a lot of things that she would otherwise never do, and later ended up regretting. She broke up with me after about a month of me pleading with her to let me see her and let me talk to her therapist, etc. and getting pissed that she was basically, more or less, cheating on me. A few weeks later she came down from her high and crashed. We talked some, I eventually forgave her and we were 'just friends' for a bit. One day she was in my neck of the woods with a friend and asked if we could meet up. I agreed, met up in Times Square, as soon as she saw me she latched on to me and wouldn't let go and could barely contain herself from crying. She begged for me back, told me that she wished she could have realized how much I meant to her, etc. and she wanted to introduce me to her parents. I was a bit put off at first, but then all the old feelings I had for her came back. So, I went up to meet her parents. Arrived there late on a friday night, we stayed up late talking, she admitted to me that she is 16 years old (she had told me she was 19)... I'm 22... I freaked out (silently, to myself) for a few minutes, but she insisted that her entire family was aware of the age difference and they were all okay with it (it seems that was true for the most part), so I said... okay, why not? The weekend was easily one of the best of my life, she told me she had never been so happy before, etc. etc. and she couldn't wait to see me again. We agreed to not get back together formally until I came up to visit her again (scheduled for 2 weekends later), so that we wouldn't rush into things and we could work out our problems and start over fresh. The rest of that week was great. Then she spent the weekend hanging out with a friend... whos a lesbian... in the Navy... I had a really uneasy feeling about things but dismissed it as paranoia... well... 5 days after she had told me she couldn't wait to see me again, and she was so happy with me, and so glad that her family apparently loved me (she introduced me to more than just her immediate family), and that her feelings for me were coming to her so easily and naturally... she calls me up, and tells me that she realized that she is gay, and that she (somehow) forced herself to feel attracted to me and to love me, and that she was so sorry to hurt me like that, etc. All this happened about three weeks ago. She wasted no time starting a new relationship with her lesbian friend, has barely spoken to me since (except to call me this past sunday in what seemed to be a suicidal state because she was so upset that she had hurt someone that she 'really deeply loved' (apparently I have no idea what they have between them...), because they broke up after she confessed to her friend her age, and then got back together later that night after she apparently convinced her to come back). Needless to say I am still suffering/recovering from that traumatic experience...

It's worse too because I'm still in love with her, and am reasonably certain she isn't really a lesbian (though I do believe that she thinks that she is), and that this relationship will be short (owing to the nature fo the suspected diagnosis), and when its over she will possibly realize this as well and come back to me... the problem being that when that happens, i'll have like... the best three weeks of my life, and this is all going to start all over again... Also reasonably sure that what happened in April/May was going to happen regardless of what medication she was on... Don't know how to quit her >.< And to add insult to injury... a Sailor (I did Air Force ROTC in College, couldn't commission but still looking to get in, failing that Marines or Army, never Navy...)!? >.<

I have two near misses (mrs - pun intended ).

1 - playing wingman for a mate went back with his GFs twin sister to their house. She took me upstairs to her room which I can only describe as a little girls room. It was bright pink and filled with teddies and dolls. I get the mandollie comparion but this was in a wiole differant level of creepy. She was mid/late 20's and stunning it was so weird. I couldn't get past the idea that she might be a bit bonkersand made for the exit.

2 - while being my usual charming self at a local scumy club I came to the attention of a comely young lady and after a few drinks and dancing she suggested that we might want to retire to her place. Brilliant but first she had to go and talk to her mum - who now? She walked over to a group of Traveller women and talked to the butchest most tattood looking woman I have ever seen in my life. Then realised that the girl I had been talking to was the queen bees daughter and despite the opportunity of a night of gypsy lovin' I could well have to have breakfast opposite her mum In a caravan and then have to try to escape Dale Farm without a shotgun wedding taking place. Cue a trip to the gents and a quick exit.

It's not all spotting crazy early and running away though, the next time I didn't notice she was bonkers until we had two kids. Still she tolerates my toy soldiers and the kids seem to like her so so I guess she's a keeper.

Oh man. Take your pick.

Girlfriend 1: Decided to start dating all of my friends. Classic levels of high school instability. As an edit, I think I should mention that I only bring this one up because of what's to follow. Girlfriend 2 makes this make sense, somewhat, but ya know, actually TALK to me about it first.

Girlfriend 2: I found out after the fact that she was the one who lied to Girlfriend 1 about me cheating on her, causing her to go after all my friends. Lots of drinking commences before problem resolved by breaking up with her on her birthday after one of her friends (who understood my position) intimated that I might have been planning on getting her an engagement ring. I then make a pass at her friends. Classic levels of high school instability (and delicious petty, petty revenge).

Girlfriend 3: One of girlfriend 2's friends. Dated for about a year before I couldn't stand her paranoid jealousy. Would cut herself and on several occasions demanded to know why I wasn't hitting her "because she was wrong". In retrospect, I kind of miss her.

Girlfriend 4: Most normal healthy relationship I've ever been in. I dated her for about 5 years through college and then a year or two afterwards. We got engaged, and closer to the wedding, she slowly began to 'go crazy' in ways that didn't make sense. Wouldn't go out anywhere. Wouldn't eat. Was utterly convinced I wanted to hurt her. Tried killing herself. We went to counseling. Fearing I WAS somehow doing something to her, I went to counseling. A week before the wedding, I was talking to her mom on the phone, who urged me not to go through with the wedding, for my own sake, citing that she's not sure what's become of her daughter, but it's not something I needed to ruin my life with. I found out a couple weeks later that she was cheating on me with random guys at her place of employment who were 10-15 years older than her.

Girlfriend 5: Cried whenever I wasn't around. I'm talking, "hey, you remember that Warhammer tournament I have down the road today that's been scheduled for a month? Well, I'm gonna... uh.. wait, why are you crying?" I offered to let her come. I genuinely don't know what she wanted from me, I mean, except for me never to leave except for work, apparently. This was a seemingly normal friend of a friend. I've since been told that I break women and I'm not allowed to date friends of friends. :(

(at this point there's a slew of girlfriends and one night stands too immemorable to recount. They all lasted a couple months at most before we broke it off for whatever reason, be it on them or on me)

Girlfriend 8: Relationship entirely predicated on sex. Weirdest (best) relationship ever. Anything we did would basically consist of "normal dating person thing", go back to the apartment, take her home. At one point she said that she didn't want to date me anymore, but wanted to remain friends, but for about 3 months afterwards, absolutely nothing changed about any of our activities, then she just completely disappeared. If my roommate didn't remember her, I'd have sworn I just made her up.

Girlfriend 9: Completely awesome, if for a Jesus freak. Intelligent, attractive, and actually like me. We dated for about 7 months, and everything was great. She wanted me to get into Christianity, for which I started giving it an honest attempt. I'd talk to her about stuff related to faith, reread more of the Bible than I'd read before (I'd already read quite a bit), and things were going amazingly. Then one day she came over and out of the blue broke up with me. She said there was something fundamentally missing from me, couldn't really explain it better, but said that she was done. I'm still scratching my head about that one.

At this point, I'm single and kind of thinking it would either be doing my psyche or the entire female populace, maybe both, a favor by not continuing to attempt to date.

While not as interesting as any of the other posts so far:

My first(and so far only GF) I met in High School while I was a writer for a F2P MMO. She was the Head Writer. We became friends and she flirted with me a lot. I was completely oblivious to it until her younger brother pointed it out after about 2 weeks. We dated for about 6 months, in that time period, I learned I was not the first person she worked with and dated. She fired this guy and dumped him before we started up. He would stalk her and call her all hours of the night with threatening messages. When she would tell me, I would told her to get a restraining order on him and block his number. She never did, and one day broke up with me. We stayed friends for a few years until we graduated and both stopped writing for the MMO. She went to college, met someone, and married him. I joined Dakka.

I have a real knack of attracting the crazies....First serious girlfriend was an a-typical goth chick, hated the world, hated her parents, hated her school, in fact let's just cut this short by saying that she hated everything. Except me. For some reason I bought the little giggly girl out in her, she was completely different around me than around her friends... Her moods were up and down and generally she was hard to be around. Awesome body though, and some, erm, interesting piercings....

The next was a lovely girl who happened to be dating one of my best mates at the time... The wierd thing was, we really detested each other for the whole time she was with said friend. It got to the stage that if she was with him there was no way I could spend time with him. Around 3 days after they broke up, I met her at a 'Pitchshifter' gig at Nottingham Rock City. We ended up sleeping together in a toilet cubicle and seeing each other for nearly 2 years. All normal right? Wrong. She was beyond psycho, when we split up she burst the tyres on my dads car and tried to slit her wrists...... *shivers*.

I've had a lot of strange relationships, most of which were with Feth-Buddies. You know the kind right?
"so, struck out again huh?"
"yup, you too?"
"yup, wanna go to bed?"

I got married 7 years ago and am happy to report that all is normal. Well, as normal as it can be in a long term relationship....

I dated a woman that was a professional Dominatrix just before I met my wife. She would do online cam shows and such. She apparently made good money. It was crazy knowing/dating her, it was pretty brief and definitely got old fast And thats it for crazy worth talking about. The closest one after that would be a girl that was naming our children on the first date. I told her she was fething nuts, tossed a 20 on the table and left the restaurant. Thats REALLY funny when I mention that I was her ride

Ah, so many...make yourself some dinner and take a seat. This could take a while.

We'll start in 8th grade, where a girl I had been friends with (and only friends so far) all my life asked if I wanted to date-I was an insecure 13 year old, and said yes. She had previously dated all my friends except 2 who were a year younger. After she got back together with an ex and left me, she came back saying her ex left her because he was gay (actually true), and tried to get me back. I refused her, and she called my house at all hours of the day and night, swearing uncontrollably, to the point where my parents had a sit-down with hers and they settled the matter.

After this, I dated a girl who aspired to be a model, but couldn't figure out the definition of deodorant-not crazy...just not brilliant.

Then I dated a girl with serious daddy issues-she did go on to become a model (had the most amazing ass and chest ever too).

With the exception of the 8th grade one, my HS gfs were fairly tame, and not too crazy-daddy issues and anti-deodorant girls weren't really too bad. Then college hits.

My first college GF was pretty much just a whore-crazy enough to sleep with my friends and assume I wouldn't ever find out, then got mad when I did find out-apparently it wasn't a big deal. This was right after she was questioning if I only viewed her as a sex-object only. Turns out that's what I was.

Next GF in college was a year younger than me, immature and visited me in college with friends, where we had an awesome night of sexual inappropriateness. Gotta love a girl rocking a Supergirl thong. We started dating because my friend liked her, but was engaged and didn't tell her-I did, because we had become good friends by this point. She and I dated, then she cheated on me WITH the engaged guy, and got pissed when I broke up with her for it. Which led to another crazy.

When I left the cheating girl, I met another girl at a party through a friend-we got together, things seemed fine. Then she started threatening to kill my friends. With spoons. Plastic. I had to hold her down to prevent her, as she was quite serious. After a bit of time, I left her.

Fast forward to my second year in college, I met a girl, we hung out, had a good time, and started fooling around in her room. My friend and I both agreed she was cute. He finds out we hooked up, gets upset, then SHE flips out on me for finding out my friend liked her, when I hadn't even known more than "cute" to start with, like it was my fault. He eventually gave his consent that we not break it off for his feelings. She starts getting angry that I betrayed him, with no reason behind it, and I find out that she just got out of the nut-house the night before we met (very true!). She swore at me, threw things at me and damaged my friendship with this guy after telling him stuff about what went on before I found out about his feelings.

Then I dated a girl who liked me, but was still in love with her ex. I'm actually still friends with her, and very close friends with her ex and his current wife-who he left the previous girl for. She has called him up and harassed him, slept around with any guy who would say yes, and even got "team" t-shirts to pass out to friends so they can support her endeavor to gain him back from his wife. Sadly, I am in possession of one such shirt. I do not wear it.

I then dated a girl who was cute, but very angry at the world (she had a son with an abusive ex and blamed the world for it). I liked her quite a bit, and was very attached to her son-he was a sweet kid, but incredibly strong-at 2 years old he ripped her door off the wall. I called him Hulk. The problem with her was that she was a complete shut in, refused to do anything other than school, work, and watch Buffy. She even said her son would never be allowed to enjoy Halloween. After repeated attempts to convince her to have a life, I decided it was time to move on (didn't want to, just couldn't live a stagnant life). She then told everyone that I left her because she had a kid, and told everyone I was afraid of her. Not sure at all where this came from, but she got 90% of my work staff to hate me for a short period of time after painting me up to be the devil.

I then dated a girl who was a total whore, was fooling around behind my back with a friend, and ultimately left me because she would rather sleep with my sister than with me. I had been warned by EVERYONE that she was nuts.

Then another girl while I was in grad school was fine while we dated, but when I wasn't feeling the relationship anymore and called it off, she flipped out, said she was a terrible person, threatened to slit her wrists, cut herself shaving repeatedly, and would constantly message me on FB, asking how I was doing, then proceeded to fly off the handle at me and scream, swear and threaten her own life again.

Next was another whore, who recently got out of a marriage, dated me, we got pregnant, she aborted the child without even talking to me about it, then started sleeping with her best friend's fiance. Not crazy, but a crappy person in all senses of the word.

Remember kids, don't stick your dick in crazy. It'll end badly. There is no way to win.

Huh. While I realize this is her fabrication, I don't date chicks that have kids. I did not consider myself a bad person for this. I still don't think I do. Busted goods is busted goods, mang.

Also, you seem to have a lot of girlfriends that mess around with friends. Are these your friends or the girl's friends? Cause if they're her friends, well, not sure what to tell you, but if they're YOUR friends, you gotta get some new friends. That's one line you just don't cross.

The one who decided she'd rather be with my sister than me was sleeping with a mutual friend who neither of us talks to anymore. The first girl from college...well, she fabricated some BS to my friend, and he didn't even know we were dating (he wasn't an extremely close friend, and thought she and I were just FWB. I forgave him after a long time)

And I see no problem dating girls with kids, especially with me being 27: most girls my age who are single are either divorced, have kids, or they're single for a reason. I know that can be a "shoe on the other foot," but I'm only slightly crazy, play with man-dollies, and I'm not an ugly fether or hideously overweight. I actually usually get hit by the 'friend' card or get taken advantage of for being a nice guy. Apparently holding the car door open for your date is a one-way ticket to "let's abuse the nice guy"-works like a charm, every time.

OK in regards to dating women with wee ones.
1. Never meet the kids until you are well along and in a very committed position. Its not fair to the kids otherwise. There is a special place in Hell for dogs who use women who are in this position.
2. Remember these are the woman's kids. She is in charge. Don't let her make you the heavy. Alternatively don't be the tooth fairy either.
3. The ex/sperm donor. MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT CRAZY. Even if you like crazy, it gets old fast. I know.
4. See #1
5. If you do meet and become involved with the kids. Be a man. Act like a man. Be a good man to them. Don't try to be their father, just act like A Man.
6. Support the woman in her decisions.

Finally if you do meet them, and they crawl up to you and give you their baby. Congratulations you are now Dad.* Time to man up in a big way.

*I know. Like TBone, the kids chose me. Now The Boy is going to be a Sr. and Genghis Connie will rule the world. Its best to go ahead and accept that...

In 1986 I went out with a girl who was introduced to me by a friend, and that should have been a big red light, because he only knows crazy chicks. We went out three times, and I was starting to get seriously disinterested, because she seemed so uninterested in everything. She rarely made eye contact, rarely spoke above a mutter and was starting to adopt sort of a trailer trash goth style. (I don't know for sure where she lived, she was very secretive about herself, another bad sign...) Anyway, I went to Wichita for a long weekend with my friends and when I got back home, she was waiting for me in the driveway. I expected her to be mad because I did sort of blow her off. Instead she was all happy and giggly, which should have set alarm bells off for sure, but I was young and naive. We go inside and she starts telling me about this new church she started going to and how I have to start going too and how the prelate (?) would marry us for free. That was when I slammed the brakes on that conversation, hard. No church, no marriage, no, no and NO!. So she reaches into her pocket and comes up with a fruit-coring knife, long but skinny blade, and stabs me with it, screaming bible verses the whole time. I deliver a roundhouse to her jaw and she runs away, still screaming bible verses, and the creepy part was that even though I don't know many bible verses, these were ones that I was familiar with, and she was getting them wrong! As far as I know, she's still out there...

Also the hell is a trailer trash goth?

Edit: Doesn't a stabbing merit a phone call to the police? I know I did when my ex tried to kill me. Almost got run in for domestic violence for my trouble because the American judicial system automatically assumes that if you're male, you beat your wife.

Okay. My wife's best friend has an ex who is crazy as feth. At some point during their relationship, he became convinced she was cheating on him. If the mail was delivered while he was at work, he would insist on inspecting her lady parts. He actually took a sample of his man-seed, and some of her worn panties, and sent them to a lab for testing.
At another point, for about a week, he took to carrying a garbage bag around with him at all times. She later found out he had a camcorder hidden inside to covertly record everything they did and said so he could "analyze it". He would routinely break into her email and voice mail to check up on her, and she suspects he somehow bugged her, as he would repeat parts of conversations to her that he had no other way of knowing.

As a 28 year old who can't help but compulsively and dutifully get both the door and the check without expecting anything in return, I entirely understand your plight. That's why I try to minimize the number of relationships I get into that are constructed to abuse the kind of person I am.

And I'm not saying that all women with kids are looking for a replacement father for their kid, but I can't find a way to finish this sentence without saying I don't want the primary reason you want to have interest in me being that you want to get me to help raise your goddamn brat.

Really? I'm 26 and I know tons of stable, single women. I mean, there are reasons that they're single, but its usually a combination of career ambition, a recent move, or simple disinterest.

Either way I refuse to date women with children. As it is I have very little time to socialize, and I don't want to spend that time competing with a kid for attention. Also, I hate kids.

Ive had bitchy gfs sure, but worst situation I landed in was this crazy metal head chick I met at a devildriver show. I had dreds at the time and she had a nice blue and black set. Hot little metal chick. We hit it off, and she came to my place that weekend. We got along great, incredible crazy sex. She told me she was 22 (I was 24) and was in college. So we go a couple weeks like this, and one day I call over to her house. I get her roommate, which being a good friend starts asking me 20 questions about what kind of a guy is dating a friend. Everything is cool until.....

"So how old are you?"
"Im 24."
"Um....dude do you know Bree is 16?"

Silence.

So I banged her one more time and never talked to her again =)

Jesus... take your pick.

Behind Door 1: The girl I lost my V-plates to, who tried to kill herself at her parents' house when she was 16.

Behind Door 2: The compulsive self-harming nymphomaniac that used to think that if a dude bought her a drink, she was compelled to sleep with them. By 17 she'd slept with at least 20 guys (including me). Please note that the legal age of consent in the UK is 16. She's a lesbian now.

Behind Door 3: The girl who, just before I started seeing her, moved in with her alcoholic ex-boyfriend - and then glassed him. She was, let's say, 'feisty'. She got me involved in a fair few scraps. I had a kid with her.

Jesus, New Hampshire is fething nuts! You can have sex with a 13 year old as long as you're no more than three years older than them!

I believe CO's consent laws are 17 = fair game, but we have what I believe is called a "Romeo and Juliet law" which gives 15 and 16 year olds a +10 year window.

Meanwhile in Texas a 13 year old can get married with parental consent

There's a big city/rural type divide on this, with some adjustments for your area of the country. Around big cities on the coasts, waiting until you're in your 30s to settle down (like me) is common. The couples in our birthing classes at the hospital where our kids were born were all in their 30s. But it's a very different environment in rural areas and in other sections of the U.S.

My general comment on this thread is that if you keep meeting crazy chicks, it's time to look in the mirror. I didn't find "the one" until I was 33 and yet I didn't have a single truly crazy girlfriend along the way. Some issues here and there...sure. We all have some issues. But nothing like some of the chicks you guys are talking about, and definitely not an unending array of them.

My advice would be to try something different if you keep hitting your head on the same ledge every time. Like maybe ducking next time?

Later found out she was cheating on me with said buddy and got him up the rear with a dildo, that was the end to that relationship. Still friends with my buddy as i split my sides laughing after he told me what hapened to him

Yeah... advice to the younger folks just starting to chase after girls (and I suppose to an extent boys):

1. Make sure you know how old they are, don't assume because they are taking college courses that they are a college student. Ask for ID if necessary. If you suspect they are jailbait, they probably are jailbait.

2. If they tell you they have serious depression issues, they are suicidal or have attempted committing suicide, you will probably want to run away. No you are not going to be her savior and live together happily ever after, despite whatever messiah/savior complex you have (I know, because i have said complex myself).

3, Bisexual/Pansexual girls are great... until they decide that they are really lesbians and leave you for a female... in the Navy. Beware (unless they express a very strong preference in males).

4. If the girl is in her late teens/early 20s and tells you they usually only go for older guys in their late 20s and/or early 30s... they probably have some daddy issues... just walk away.

5. All women are crazy, some more so than others. Even if you find one that isn't crazy... she will eventually turn out to be crazy, its only a matter of time.

The level of insanity is actually relatively even between the two genders. The main difference is cultural-- women are, as a general group, more willing to seek help for mental problems than men, while men tend to view seeking help as an unmanly thing and thus avoid it. This results in men having more severe mental problems than women on average, with much more violence.

But it is still primarily a cultural effect, rather than genetic, where mental problems are roughly even. There's plenty of sane men and women out there. Or at least sane enough to have a stable relationship with-- assuming that you are likewise sane.

Yes, yes he is, though it would almost certainly mitigate any sentencing if he could prove it. Thankfully it sounds like she was emancipated, so its unlikely anyone was going to report him.

Melissia wrote:It's not unreasonable.

At a certain point its unreasonable. I'm 26, and I have no interest in anyone that looks remotely close to being 18, and despite what people say its generally fairly easy to appraise a person's age when that broad type of standard applies. And, when it doesn't, you're probably not going to get in any trouble. For example a 20 year old sleeping with a 17 year old.

That said, a friend of mine unknowingly slept with a 16 year old when he was 21. Though, in his defense, they were both in college at the time and he was drunk. Having met her before, she could also pass for 18 very easily.

Hmm, I have a sad yet vibrant history of dating/marrying women who some might call " out of their minds" or " Bat gak crazy"....seems "damaged" females just flock to me, I can't begin to imagine why.
My first wife, bless her heart, was the sort who, if I was out at band practice a bit longer than she thought I should be, would convince herself I was cheating and toss my belongings into the yard...always a hoot to come home and find neighbors sorting through your things.
My second wife was a bit less concerned as to weather or not I was cheating on her...mostly due to the fact that she was busy cheating on me every chance she got.
Before and between these two winners, I dated a string of nutty girls ranging from borderline alcholics to strippers with daddy issues that were absolutely mind numbing...
I've fortunantly finally ( I think) found a woman who, while still crazy...seems to mesh with my own issues...most of the time.

Emotionally and towards the end physically abusive ex that drove me to a severe depression. All ended when she hit me, told me she would kill herself and told me I couldn't go visit my brain dead cousin in hospital before life support was turned off. Also had a go at me for abandoning her at my sisters birthday party when I had gone to the toilet. Oh, and she wanted to be married after 2 weeks of dating.

When it came to the break up, halls security almost had to call the police to remove her and her parents from the flat (we had been living together and they had driven 3 hours to come collect her after I finished with her.) It was ugly, smashed belongings, food thrown across the flat. Good riddance, feel sorry for the guy she is with now.

I think that is my only crazy ex, little wonder been single for the 30 months since.

Someone should start a "most awesome person you've dated" thread to compensate for this one!

LOL this thread should really have the words TRIGGER WARNING at the top of it.

But I have dated many crazy girls in my life. Number one I met in a mental hospital (red flag) and she ended up abusing me physically and emotionally for four years in an on and off relationship with me, cheated on me often with her best friend (a girl), raped me a couple times, but somehow twisted me into her obedient little puppy, because there were always a few good minutes every day with her, right? Then, after we finally decided to part ways for good after she decided she needed help for her Borderline personality Disorder and psychosis, she dies of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy that aggravated an already bad congenital heart defect 3 months later and all this before I was 17.

fethed up part?

My first girlfriend cut herself a lot. I'm not sure if she still cuts, I'm a bit afraid to ask. We're still friends although I couldn't stand to be in a relationship with someone who did that and utterly refused any sort of help. Kind of broke my heart to see her in that kind of suffering on the inside. She ended up getting me into experimenting with cutting on myself, which in retrospect was stupid on my part.

Don't be too scared.

These are people who, by all likelihoods, are exaggerating their stories to make for good campfire tales. Even if they aren't, they're telling the exceptional tales. There are plenty of times where people break up without it being insane-- it's just that these aren't interesting stories to tell. And, IIRC, several of these people ARE currently in stable, loving relationships.

Back in HS a Russian gal (she was born in Russia, moved to America after the USSR fell) who ended up graduating from HS 2 years early, did college in 3 years and is now making stacks of cash doing some kind of analyst work in the oil industry.

The only 'weird' thing would be this one girl I had a very brief relationship with who had some mental/emotional problems. Only notable in that she was the first person I ever actually knew who went to a psychiatrist. Last I heard about her was that she was engaged to some guy who looked very similar to me, with a slightly more squarish head. Seeing a picture of him was like looking in the mirror...

I dated the bosses daughter for a warehouse that I used to work at. It was great at first but to make a very long story short i moved into her house, which was my bosses house about four month after meeting her and it was like heaven, so good in fact I knew it wouldn't last. Slowly but surely she would start showing signs of being crazy.

First, she really hated my friends and would ask me not to hang out with them, not that big of a deal as I've dated chicks like that before.
second, she only listened to 80's music, which i found odd , but whatever.

Third, she would talk about sex with her mom( the owner of the company that i worked for) in front of me, and not general sex, sex with me and our love life. Kinda started to weird me out and for the only time in my life i thought maybe there is a real thing as a mother and daughter three way. Never happened btw.

Fourth, And this is where it get fething bananas. We had been together now for about 6 months give or take and one day when we were going to bed she told me she was pregnant. The next morning she said she never said anything like that and had no idea what I was talking about.
She did this like 3 more times and each time would have a different reaction when i told her the next day. Strange to say the least.

Fifth and final straw that broke my back and made me run for the hills, one night when we were about to shag she asked me if I would do something that really turns her on, I said what? With this chick I thought it safer to ask better then to get the crazy card pulled with no notice. She told me" it's something that's really hot", I said " ok what is it" I'm thinking at this point it could be anything from the mom three way to getting access to the dirty sheriffs badge if you know what i mean....it was none of those. She told me her and her ex used to do this to be more closer, I said "go on". She then proceeded to pull the exact knife from scream out, the big shiny one with the blood groove in it, and said she was going to cut me and drink my blood and then I would have to cut her and do the same. If you could have seen my face. I got up and called a friend got a ride and never went back. I lost my 350$ roar, at least 500$ in clothes, and a bunch of other crap. I never seen her again, and got fired from the job like three weeks later. I'm not into that, some of you might be , but not me.

Yep, that's true of me. I've been with my current partner for 8 (or is it 9?) years. We've got a mortgage, labrador - the whole bit. People who say things like 'all women are crazy' just say that stuff because they can't understand them, they don't know how to speak to them and don't feel comfortable around them. Growing up within a matriarchal family structure, I've never had that problem. If anything, I feel more at ease around women than men.

Exactly Albby, though I've had my fair share of " crazy" to deal with, as I stated, I've been in a pretty "stable" relationship for over a decade now, not to say that "crazy" ( on both our parts) doesn't make an appearance now and again, but I honestly feel that's true of just about every relationship in existance to a greater or lesser degree.
And Mell makes some good points in that in all probability folks are excluding much of their stories in order to focus on the "crazy" asspects.
For example while I made mention of my first wife tosssing various items out the door when I'd come home late, thhat certainly wasn't all there was to her, nor did I mention that in all probability my own actions were the catalyst for said behavior to begin with.
A statement like " all women are crazy" is incredibly naive in most cases, what I've come to discoverr is that for the most part...everyone is "crazy"...some of us are just betterr at hiding it than others.

Out of curiosity...did you find out how her son died? That amount of trauma isn't usually healthy. If it was something that was perceived as controllable she probably took it worse, fueling the crazy.

Wait, center island?! Its happened people, Frazzled has officially created his own country out in the dusty Desert that is Texas. '
