I think that phrase is so popular because it really fills a... linguistic niche, a void really, in trying to describe that phenomenon - I guess it otherwise would be called, in a much less catchy/cool way, a forced meme.

You are reading a series of '0' and '1's.
Move along, before you get insane.
We Dark Mods await it eagerly, my loyalist brother! You may have struck down the Dark Lord Matty, but my powers of asking irreverent questions and getting into the occasional flamewar are far more insidious. Where you Light Mods maintain order, we Dark Mods foment chaos.
Well, I think combining the main 3 options might be a good idea. So how about naut-ite-roos? I mean, who actually needs the word "dakka" there in the first place?
Hmmm Dakaroos definitely has the taste of something I like. Fudge it, Im going with that from now on......or until my awesomely awesome memory forgets what it was
You see, the spelling of Dakkanaught and Dakkanaut are much like the spelling of Yognaught and Yognaut. And if you are a dedicated follower of the yogscast, you'll know that spelling it Yognaught is the Simon way and Yognaut is the Lewis way. I personally spell it the Simon way, so I spell Dakkanaught the same way.
"Naught" means zero. Perhaps what you're thinking of is the alternative spelling "nought" as in dreadnought? In which case, you've simply mixed up your nautical references. Being a member of Dakka does not make one "dakkaless" -- rather Dakka is the great ship of which you are now a crewman (or at least passenger), i.e., a naut.

No, I meant 'naught' and I know perfectly well that it also means zero. I was merely referring tho the Yogpod, but I don't think anybody knows what I'm talking about now so I'll just shut up.
Ive always been the Bearded One. Squidface WISHES he had the coverage I get. I kept telling him that wanting to devour every living thing, would be harder to convince people of then accepting chinsquigs
I have to say, I've fallen for Dakkaroo. And right now, it's neck and neck, with 26 votes each...
Hey, we should get someone doing commentary for this. It could become a new spectator sport!
"And dakkaroo is leading as we come up to the first jump, but dakkanaut is edging ahead, now we're coming up to the first corner and... Oh! dakkanite has fallen! It's out of the race, but right now it's really a two-saying race anyway..."
I voted for Dakkaroo, but I still think "Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Mushroom Mushroom" is the only real answer and I shall be using it anyway.
