I don't have any party affiliation in particular since I think most of them are corrupt anyway but I do know I am a leftist. Everyone should be free to do as they please as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others.

My roommate once described me as "The Arch-Liberal". I occasionally enjoy playing a caricature of a right-wind conservative on the internet.

I am often disturbed by the fact that people tend to think my portrayal is someone expressing a genuine opinions. It's sad to that my attempts at absurd parody often just fall in line with reality.

I'm Very right wing in some respects, but very left in others.

I am very left leaning moderate with undertones of libertarianism. I play a republican by day with my corporate office. By night I remove my tie and button up for punk tshirts and PBR so my tattoos can breathe. I embrace capitalism for the ideals that an individual can forge his own destiny in America. I frowny face on it when I see that by the very nature of capitalism it must grow by consumption and its favorite food is the workers who suffer.

A blend of stinking liberal fascism, mixed with hard doses of capitalism defending, communistic,, freedom hating, atheistic pro-Israeli anti-Semitic, islamofascism, crossed with a hefty dose of Batman villainy and .. possibly ... a soup that is served cold....?

EDIT: I'm -4.25 and -2.51 on the political test. Never thought I would be left-wing.

Voting wise I tend to go with who ever has the best firearms policies. After saying that I tend to side with Libertarians usually though I typically think they are bananas

i'm coming to the US political scene from a very different political background so I'm still finding where about I fit in the grand scheme of things. So far I seem to fall more into the Libertarian camp, being fiscally conservative but socially liberal.

If anyone has any recommended reading for me to help me work out where my views fall Id be much obliged and will get on it once we get power restored (which is looking like midnight Friday) as for now I can only get the internet in work.

Just took a political quiz and apparently the kind of lefty I am is a Libertarian Lefty, about a tad more than half-way to the left from the center and a tad less than half way to Libertarian from the middle, with the opposite direction being Authoritarian.

In practise, I believe that no politician enters politics to stand for his fellow man/constituents/people, and he is attracted by power, the corrupting influence of that power just makes things worse. I've long given up on voting, when you have lived in an area with a totally ineffective local government for 20+ years, apathy tends to set in (we've had the right, the left and a bunch of independants, not a single one has delivered what they promised), by the way I live in Blaneau Gwent, which was recently featured on BBC news in an article that summarises as 'my god this place is a gakhole, and no-one seems to care or want to do anything about it' (unfortunately cannot find the link, will edit later).

So I don't bother going to vote anymore, if only because taking a dump in the ballot box is illegal...

I don't have a picture but on that spectrum I'm dead center and halfway up to authoritarian, make of that what you will.

Not too surprised it's usually what I get, some of the statements like "Controlling inflation is more important than controlling unemployment" are kind of hard to answer as I think both are almost equally important .

I did the test last night, I was in about the same spot as Gandhi. I was roughly -5 left and -2.5 libertarian. The wife took the test, and was about 2.5 right and -2 libertarian.
I did find it interesting that, on the chart where they showed various world leaders, there was nobody in the right wing libertarian quarter.

Some questions didn't offer enough details, or couldn't be easily answered so simply, but what can you expect from a quick test that takes less than 5 minutes to fill out?

I was surprised by the graph showing the UK political parties, given that even the conservatives are pretty much a centrist party. By that logic, surely the US Republicans would be so far to the right of that chart that you wouldn't be able to see them?

After how one of our Senators voted on the immigration Bill my voting will be so much easier when the time comes.

Generally conservative, have been growing more so throughout life. Have a few "liberal" social views, but not many.

It didn't take me very far either. Likely because it's only one question, and a considerable outlier to the rest of my pattern.

I kinda dislike the test due to the wording of many questions, such as "an advantage of a one-party state is that it has less trappings that hinder progress"; which is technically correct in that it *is* a benefit of a one-party state. However, this often depends on the definition and scope of progress, and I suspect the question is really just charting how much you support fascism.

Generally I lean towards socialism. I am military, so I have some conservative streaks, but I'm very much a believer in social welfare, increased taxes, and greater benefits.
