Ha, that's awesome. Orks lend themselves so well to custom vehicles, don't they? Mostly because they're the only guys willing to just turn two tanks into one big tank. It looks great man, and very Orky.

Right. Been doing some re-basing of my kannons and crew today as the scenic bases I put them on originally and I decided they give me an unfair advantage against blast markers, I loved these bases but they did draw a lot of attention away from the scratch built kannons which I like also so...

It's a little tough to see the details on the Kannons since theyre all black, but I think those bases are kickass, and I know it's not new, but man I love that Battlewagon. Looks even better in this pic.

Well my friend I just spent the last few hours painting them. I hope these clear things up abit.

teah the photos seem to make the blue look very flat. the rivets arejust some beads I bought at a craft shop.

I like the blue! You don't see Orks in a color like that much, but I think it'll look good on them.

Beads, huh? I guess I should have thought of that. Easier than what I'm doing on my big tank, but now I've gotta keep it consistent.

yeah they have saved me a lot of time cutting rivets from plastic rod like I was first planning.

I really like your crisp, bloo paint scheme. Your buggies look awesome! Your wagons look great, too, and that orky aegis is quite nice. Keep at, it looks like you're coming along nicely.

You're welcome. And I just realized you used beads for rivets. They look great and I bet they were cheap as hell. I'm going to have to loot that idea. What did you use for the basis of your defense line? Is it just a different colored plasticard?

They are made from GW fantasy Modular movement trays I had laying around from my WHFB days, when you get the measurements of the proper ADL you will find the Squares (fantasy Bases) match up to the measurements if you know what I mean?.

here are a couple of small subtle conversions I will be making throughout da boys mobs to set them apart from other peoples hopefully for the better.

First its always bothered me how little ammunition the armies of the 41st millennium take to battle so every so ofen im going to make a well armoured Boy to carry a crate for the mob, if he is willing to share it with his mates that is .




And next is a communications Boy to relay where the enemies are to the other mobs, or to send an unwitting mob in to get shot up first before they make the advance.




Its not much I know but its just what iv been working on tonight.

That's awesome. I love the communications guy. Call him a Talkboy or something. Neat idea with the ammo guy, as well, their backpacks are really cool, they totally get the point across just by looking at them.

yeah man talkboy sounds appropriate haha.

anyway this it the fruit of my labours today, a trukk Transport looted from a rhino chassis, the wip is in a post above but I am quite happy to call it "ready for Paint" now

Okay guys, I have a game tomorrow and I decided last minute I wanted a Big mek with a Kustom force field for my list, having no Mek model, to the bitz box I went and had a bit of fun coming up with this fellow. you could call it a custom kustom force field

The line also looks awesome, the grot with chainmail had me laughing for a sec or more. Keep it up! I'll watch the progress. Plus the Warboss looks great too, I have to agree with the others, the blue just looks right on them.

I think if you go to your first post and click edit, you should be able to go to the Subject line and change it there.

Its pretty top gun aint it . the tape is so when I spray paint it its still transparent.

Oh right. I actually wouldn't have such an issue, because I simply paint the base and add flock or rubble to it, and that's it. But I can see how that'll work for you :p

Finished my big mek tonight. really hate the join in the arm showing up so bad when I did the wash but its not too noticeable from a distance and I happy with the rest of him.






With both HQ choices made and painted I feel like im getting somewhere with these guys, now for 90+ Ork Boyz to buy, make and paint

Painted up that flyer base tonight.

Painted a looted rhino. tried to make it so the former dark angles green colours were starting to get re exposed in places that are still actual rhino plates. Im pretty meh, as I have no motivation for this project at the moment. Some pics anyway...

That rhino's gonna count as a mekboy junka? If not, you should really consider it, since it does look a hell of a lot like one.

I don't really know what that is, but it sounds forge-worldy. my gaming group doesn't use forge world stuff unfortunately so im using it as a trukk.

Looted Rhino is spot on! The gun mount is great. Warboss looks great in Blue! Dakkajet base looks awesome, too. I really like your bionik-legged, kustom choppa-wielding big mek. Awesome all around. Keep up the steady progress, man!

Its been a wee while since my last update by my standards but that's only because it took me so damn long to paint these up but I have these 6 (yes 6) ork boyz completed, they are the first of many so I think this project is going to take me a long long time .

You know, I really want to do something like that but I just don't know how to go about it without it looking tacky, but its something I can add in the future when I find a good technique.

Looks good. If you feel overwhelmed by the amount of boyz, break them down into groups of five and complete one batch before moving on to the next.
