Well done, Impact . These look much more interesting to me than the Asian-themed campaign ones, too.

got some more details from Tom looks like Sci-Fi is in as well so i've added the artwork to the first post.

To start as soon as they put the last parcel for Asian KS in the post (that they can ship they are still missing some addresses).

We have lined up 27 new miniatures for the campaign (working on 28 right now if we can find a sculptor how can finish before end of month). Current plan is a funding goal of $5k for the 15 figures that Chris has picked as the starting set with a new figure added by vote every $1,700 from there.

Dave and others who are thinking of getting in on this chibi Cthulhu campaign- you might be interested in this other one, which is only for a single chibi Cthulhu model, and ends in 3 days.

Unfortunately it's a bit steep- $35 for one model, and another $15 if you're international... but thought it was worth sharing so no one missed it, if chibi Cthulhu is your thing

I'm more in this for the Sci-Fi stuff and anything that is generic enough to be used as a fantasy type hero/monster, the whole Cthulhu mythos stuff holds very little interest for me, I know it's very popular it's just not to my tastes most of the time.

I just got my Asian Chibis and I am pretty happy with the quality. Material is easy to clean! Minimal cleanup, just the vent points.

Impact! Miniatures news - Chibi Dungeon Adventurers 2 KS mid March - Greek/Egyptian theme @ 2014/03/18 04:15:14

Post by: DaveC

Type 1 are 30mm approx and Type 2 are 50mm approx that's largely design dependant. They scale very well with other popular chibi figures but they are their own thing proportions can be slightly different (heads are a little bigger) they weren't designed to exactly copy another style.

You'll have wait a bit longer Joyboozer it has only just been submitted to KS for approval.

I have access to the preview page so I'll post a few bits about pledge levels later today so people know what to expect.

Oh and I could have sworn I saw a certain law enforcer on there as well but you'll have to judge the likeness for yourselves.

The campaign will run a week longer than SDE.

Most of them look great, but the flapper's face needs to be tweaked a little bit to make it look like she's winking. The open eye needs a bit of an angle. Also her body proportions seem to be off from most of the other work you guys have done.

Impact! Miniatures news - Chibi Dungeon Adventurers 2 KS mid March - Greek/Egyptian theme @ 2014/03/18 18:50:31

Post by: DaveC

I don't have an unpainted image of the flapper so I'm not sure how much is the sculpt and how much is the digital paint job that might be causing the issue.

For the record I have no connection to Impact! Miniatures I was lucky enough to get chatting to Chris and Tom during the first chibi KS and they now send me previews of the artwork and sculpts and look for feedback on them but that's the extent of my involvement. The headset on the light infantry was one of my contributions I also had them redesign the cyborgs bionic eye as it didn't translate well to the original sculpt, Chris must have been wondering what the hell was going on when I sent him a load of Borg images! (Sci-Fi isn't really his thing)

I've had a chance to give the KS page the once over now note this is subject to change before launch.

As before there are type 1, 30mm miniatures and type 2, 50mm miniatures. There's a points cost system this time type 1s cost 1 point and type 2s cost 2 points.

The initial funding is $5,000 the following are available once that's reached,

Type 1 - Archaeologist, Flapper, Gangster, Elder Thing, Gug, Shoggoth, Hound, Scientist.

Medium Sci-Fi Infantry (labelled heavy infantry before), Light Infantry (Helmet), Rynak, Cyborg, MP officer (he is the law), Major Mrin (medium infantry without helmet), Lieutenant Prophet (light infantry without helmet)

Type 2 - Chaugnar Faugn

The following existing sculpts will also be available, type 1 - Pumpkinhead, Deep One, Avatar of Yog, Avatar of Shub, Mummy. Type 2 - Cthulhu, Flesh Golem

Pledge levels - spend your points on minis

Minion Level $10 - 1 point, $5 to ship outside US
Investigator Level $30 - 5 points, $5 to ship outside US
Herald Level $50 - 10 points, $5 to ship outside US
Guardian Level $75 - 16 points, $5 to ship outside US
Elder Level $100 - 22 points, $10 to ship outside US
Ancient One Level $150 - 34 points, $10 to ship outside US
Great Old One Level $200 - 46 points, $10 to ship outside US
H.P. Creator Level $250 - 58 points, $15 to ship outside US

Any level can buy extra points at $5 per point. H.P. Creator can buy them at $3 per point.

Excuse my ignorance, but are these for a game or just a niche genre of mini?

Impact! Miniatures news - Chibi Dungeon Adventurers 2 KS mid March - Greek/Egyptian theme @ 2014/03/19 21:17:11

Post by: DaveC

Just minis for now they had a backer working on a game for them that they were going to publish but I'm not sure where that's at any more.

I've seen a few home made SDE cards knocking around for some of the minis as well.

They can be used to chibi up other games I have complete Heroquest set in Chibi form from the first KS.

Impact! Miniatures news - Chibi Dungeon Adventurers 2 KS mid March - Greek/Egyptian theme @ 2014/03/19 23:16:03

Post by: nkelsch

Lots of people use these for RPGs where you have a free-form bestiary, Like Pathfinder and D&D.

Some people use them as alt models for SDE and Heroquest or other games where the RULES exist but the minis don't.

Others seem to collect and paint them for fun.

Kickstarter is now live

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/674003445/chibi-gaslight-horror-cthulhu-mythos-and-sci-fi-mi

funding goal $5,000

then the first stretch goal is at $6,300

the Ithaqua goes head to head with the student in the backer poll winner gets made. Really torn on this 2 of my favourite sculpts. The losing sculpt come sback in a later head to head vote it's not lost entirely.

Ithaqua all the way, imo! I'm surprised they only show art for it on the KS page, not the render you have in the OP here (which that looks great!).

I think they are waiting until it funds but the poll is open already link on main KS page. I actually voted student in the end the sculpt turned out really well, I think the Ithaqua will win but student just looks very good too.

You'll see it soon enough as it's halfway to funded. Chris sent me a picture of it but I've only posted things in the first post that are publically available in some form or other actually Tom hadn't even seen some the images I have! some of the artists posted images to their blogs. The only exception was the Flapper and Hastur as I wanted to recreate the artwork advertising with actual miniatures.

That would be great! I've been hesitating on pledging as the levels tend to ramp up to the sweet spot in value, but there's not enough of the ones I'm interested in to allocate it towards.

Thanks for passing on the feedback I really, really like those sci-fi sculpts of the bugs/creatures.

New stuff next 3 stretch goals - stretch goal 3 wasn't planned Impact! have the rights to produce the mini so they figured they'd put it in - it was literally decided about an hour ago. It's been slotted in between the $8,300 goal and $9,700 there would have been no $9,000 goal otherwise.

STRETCH GOAL #3 - $9,000 - Wagons Ho!

Okay so we were told that this KickStarter is already a complete mash-up so we are adding in an unscheduled extra miniature stretch goal. At $9,000 we'll unlock the Type 2 Wagon Pony team. Why not add in some Old West to the genre mash-up. The wagon and pony are 30mm scale.

STRETCH GOAL #4 - $9,700 - New miniature to add to the list

Vote in the linked poll below. The winner between the TYPE 2 Tsathoggua vs the TYPE 1 Animated Armor will be added to the list of available miniatures that we will have created. Tsathoggua is the whisperer in the darkness controlling the formless spawn The Animated Armor is from the Class Horror genre as no haunted castle is complete without the armor suit that suddenly comes to life.

STRETCH GOAL #5 - $10,000 - Free Picks

When we reach $10,000, we add on additional free picks to several reward levels.

ELDER will get 1 extra pick to have 23 in total
ANCIENT ONE will get 2 extra picks to have 36 in total
GREAT OLD ONE will get 3 extra picks to have 49 in total
H.P. CREATOR will get 4 extra picks to have 62 in total

@RiTides
1) Yes we have contacted the sculptor and asked him to do the Tergite based on the DakkaDakka feedback. So it should be in one of the polls soon as soon as we have confirmation from the sculptor that it is going to turn out acceptable for us.
2) Rynack ... better image ... best I can do (and I hope you can see this) is show you the turntable video of the figure from Shapeways as the sculptor that did this figure did not give us high-res images of it. https://www.shapeways.com/model/1684214/rynack-stl.html (click on the turntable view and then grab the figure in the turntable and turn it around to see the figure from the front).
3) The poll is interesting. Chris is voting for the Tsathoggua ... I'm voting for the Animated Armor ... so even the folks at Impact! are split.

The sculptor of the Rynack did not send them a turntable video he also did the light armour infantry I found the turntables Tom didn't even have them!

The digital sculptors are very busy since doing Impacts! Stuff they have gone on to work for Mantic, SPM and Heroquest (although MK Ultra quit some of sculptors are working on it privately freelance)

Is the sculptor who they contacted about the Tergite one of the digital sculptors (MK Ultra? quite impressed with those guys lately!). I hope so, as the digital sculpts look quite appealing to me.

Thanks for the quick reply and nice to see the creator quick on the draw, too

It will more than likely be Juan from MK Ultra who has done most of the digital sculpts but not all he's the one Chris likes to get to work on Impacts! stuff. That's dependant on his schedule he's a busy man these days.

http://idonotcode.blogspot.ie/?m=1

http://zelldweller.deviantart.com/gallery/
As you can see he's also doing some HQ stuff

EDIT: Chris has referred it to Andrew who does most of the physical sculpts the ones in grey he did the Gug as a comparable piece. I've no issues with Andrew doing it he's really got the hang of the Chibi style now IMO. It needs to done in 3 pieces so have to figure it out.

Creator Impact! Miniatures 6 minutes ago
I'm not a fan of fiddly sculpts so I've asked Andrew to give me feedback on how he would do the Tergite. What I don't want is a five piece mini. If we make some modifications, we might be able to do 3 pieces, which I could possibly live with. We'll see what he comes back with.

I shall patiently wait to see what Yig turns out like.

Hoping for something more snake-like than what Fenris did with Cthulhu Wars. Not to knock the Yig sculpt they produced, but I was seriously hoping for something more traditional I guess- maybe with a more serpentine head?

I'm afraid all the Type 2s are going to continue to get out- voted in the polls. I think we need to see some more type 1s vs type 1s.

Impact! Miniatures news - Chibi Dungeon Adventurers 2 KS mid March - Greek/Egyptian theme @ 2014/03/21 16:05:15

The Yig is type 2 it reuses the lower body of the original KS cobra with a new torso it has a crested snakes head think styracosaurus type crest but with a snakes features it has 2 arms but no legs (your probably picturing something different than I 'm trying to describe now)

the bonus picks at $10,000 stretch goal has also been achieved

next up Round 4 of the head to head (to head in this case)

STRETCH GOAL #6 - $11,000 - New miniature to add to the list

Vote in the linked poll below. The winner between the TYPE 2 Yig vs the TYPE 1 Cultist vs the TYPE 1 Giant Octopus will be added to the list of available miniatures that we will have created. Yig is the giant serpent Elder God. The Cultist represents a member of Innsmouth converted from exposure to the forces of the Old Ones. The Giant Octopus is a fun sculpt by Nick Kelsch in case you need some different octopi monsters to be working with Cthulhu and the Cultists.

was I close on description of the Yig did anyone picture that? The cultist is the current sculpt with new arms as the old ones are tiny and fiddly.

Round 5

STRETCH GOAL #6 - $12,300 - New miniature to add to the list

Vote in the linked poll below. The winner in the poll fight between TYPE 1 Frankie (36mm scale for him) vs TYPE 1 Nightgaunt vs TYPE 1 Gen'Dari will be added to the list of available miniatures that we will have created. This is the first poll fight that has a representative from each of the 3 genres of the KickStarter so since all 3 are Type 1 this fight ... we look forward to seeing how the contest goes.

Frank is a type 1 rescale of the type 2 Flesh Golem as it's been asked for a few times.

Polls are up to Tom and Chris I have no prior knowledge of what they are going to put up next I like to be surprised a bit during a kickstarter, I wasn't even aware that Tom had convert a Nightguant it's a good use of the original Gargoyle figure it's not for me but others seem to like it, one less mini to use my points on the last few type 2s have been eating up my points fairly quickly.

Yep, they fly and clutch and tickle, and that is all they do. They're horrifying.

But where is the barbed tail? Can't have a Nightgaunt without a tail...

Sure, I'd pick him regardless, but if there is no tail I'll be mighty disappointed.

Yeah Gymnogyps ... definitely one of H.P. more terror inducing creatures. They are definitely more minion material than terror of the night.

Nick ... i would definitely not show a WIP figure. I spent a lot of time on this guy looking at the reference photos and trying to make sure I got it right and making sure it would be a one piece figure which makes my life easier. I spend most of the hours of my day anymore packing up the pieces of multi-part minis I get from Trollforged (as they do not separate the pieces in the mould ... all for a mini comes in one big bag ... so one piece minis are nice).

To answer Gymnogyps's question .. yes it does have the barbed tail.

To answer another question ... at this time we have enough new figures for 2 more stretch goal polls .... after that we move into stretch goals were we'll do 3 way fights with the losers of the previous polls.

Still in the list of new stuff we have:
TYPE 1 Cthulhu
TYPE 1 Horror

We have 2 more figures that we are willing to have sculpted ... but given that we lost money on both the Dungeon Chibi and Asian Chibi projects ... we are trying to make sure that this project at least breaks even so we have not yet pulled the trigger to have those made. It would add another TYPE 1 Cthulhu and TYPE 1 Space to the list.

Time to speak up if you want losing minis to go again or new stuff (in the comments that is)

Creator Impact! Miniatures 6 minutes ago
Alrighty...so you've seen some of the losers so far (student, cop, Tsathoggua, small Frankie, etc.). Those are figures that are already complete and in our budget. So, the question is, do you think that a new option (like drop bears) would draw in more people than these figures? Otherwise, after this next stretch goal, we'll start to recycle some of those. This is the hard part for Tom and I...we WANT to make lots of new figures but are budget constrained.

So here is Chris and I's new question of the day. If we created an package deal for an Minions of the Sleeper that had the following in it: 6 Cultists, 2 Evil High Priests, 3 Snakemen (TYPE 1 sized Yigs), 4 Shoggoth and Tsathoggua for 10 points would it help. Would the cross-promotion be effective or DOA?

So that's 17 points for the price of 10.

How do people feel about the Tergite's tail? Chris was looking for feedback, I like it but he's thinking of going more SST bug with it now, I suggested keeping the tail but going for a more scorpion class stinger weapon.

Sweet, tergite!

You're referring to the art in the top right of this pic, I think:

Spoiler:

I actually didn't realize that was a tail... can't make out much from that, I think it just depends on how it was implemented.

I think the problem is that there is not a large enough base of miniatures to choose from. Both the Scifi and Cthulhu lines suffer from trying to do them together. I think they'd be more successful concentrating on one theme or perhaps no theme at all, to cater for what people would like to see.

I think there are a few things, but a lot also comes down to the sculpts they have available too. I think Asian/Chthulu/Scifi Chibis all had limited appeal compared to Dungeon simply due to how people use free-form miniatures. So many Sci-Fi games are based around WYSIWYG, I can't think of many which I can use free-form miniatures and the Chibi stand-ins. While I am less familiar with Chluhlu in general, it does seem like that particular group doesn't seem enthusiastic about chibis even if there is appropriate games to stand-in models for.

Personally, my buying habits are:
1 of every hero which can make an appearance in an Fantasy RPG setting
1 of every Model which can be a large boss or character bad guy
3 of every model which can be a stronger group of bad guys
5 of every troop

So right now, designs which work for me are:
1 Archaeologist as a Hero
1 Scientist as a bad Guy/NPC
3 Elder Things as strong baddies
5 Gugs
5 Hounds
5 Shoggoths
a few animated armors (due to repaint potential)
1 Chaugnar
1-3 Ithaqua
1-2 Hastur (have an Idea for a mummy lord)
2-3 Wagon teams
1 Yig

This puts me at 28-34ish picks. I may get a few more of models I own but due to theme, I am kinda stuck. I know my habits don't apply to everyone but I know people with similar collecting habits for us who are using these as RPG fantasy bestiary/Hero gallery with free-form games with no standard miniatures.

As for the rest of the models, Here is my decisions if they become available:
Student: I don't need a student. I probably would get 1 and possibly convert her hat to something more magical so she would seem like a hogworts student to fit the theme.
Cop: I don't need a cop, I would probably get 1 to become a big game hunter hero
Tsathoggua: I would get 1. He would be a bad guy boss.
Cultists: I actually need more. I love this model and want 3-5 octopus cultists, 3-5 Chthulu cultist and 3-5 Snake Cultists. If this became a model I could easily get 10 of them. Fantastic troop builder.
Giant octopus: I have one, I made it. I would like 2 more.
Frankie: Type 1 Frankie doesn't do much for me. I might get one to be like a 'phase 1' version of the larger model.
Gendari: eh, I can't find a use for him
Snakeman: I would probably get 3-5 of the smaller YIG
Tergite: I would get 5 of him as a monster pack
Horseman: I would like some of the riding ponies for conversions and NPCs, I would like some of the flaming pumpkins for ghostie baddies. I already have a horseman, but normally I would want 1.

For me, Troopbuilders are king and models with multiple uses or repaint potential. Also, being able to exist in a fantasy bestiary is also useful. Right now, almost none of the stretchgoals have required me to add to my pledge and a lot of that is theme + number of models needed. Maybe if the votes were 'I would buy 1 of these vs I would by 5 of these' we would see different results since the goal is weight of sales per mold not necessarily number of molds.

Apart from theme, I don't really know what would draw people in outside of pre-assembled minis...

Post by: DaveC

The theme itself came down to Chris wanting to do Cthulhu mythos as he's a huge fan of it so he made it happen (you'll see it Impacts! other ranges as well) and the horror elements were a natural extension of that.

I know the Sci-Fi seems like a really weird addition but they've been sitting on about 10 sci-fi sculpts for a good while and it was felt they weren't a strong enough theme to carry a KS campaign on their own so the 2 got merged into 1 KS. I know this is a kind of a mish mash of themes but it kind of needed to be to get them all produced. This is more of an add on KS they would be happy enough to reach the same level as the Asian one that will give them the funds to produce what they want and expand the range.

I kind of get the feeling this will be the last chibi KS (unless it explodes for some reason). I hope they will come back and do the remaining dungeon stuff later whether by KS or general release there are still a load of ideas in the pot.

@nkelsh you hit the nail on the head and it's one thing I keep saying to Chris - 1 off heroes are great and all but people only really buy 1 of them it's the monster/minions that get multiple sales and need to be more of a focus so I hope that Tergite wins and funds.

It was an issue in the planning stage of the Asian KS I got the original list and went hang on too many heroes not enough minions, I sent Chris back a list that included the Hsigo, Jiang Shi and a few others and fair play to Chris he added most of them he even did the Jiang shi and the Paper Talisman Zombie as separate minis as I sent him 2 images and I really liked the "Paper Talisman" version.

For this KS I'm in at the Elder level it's the lowest I've backed them for Cthulhu isn't my thing but there's enough other stuff that I can fill 23 picks - no list made yet but the following are definitely on it.

Archaelogist
Scientist
Elder Thing
Gugs (more than 1)
Hound
Shaggoth
Chaugnar
Ithaqua
Hastur
Yig

Hoping for
Student, Tergite, Snakeman, Tsathoggua. I'd get 1 Frankie if it unlocks.

I'll get some Sci-Fi depending on how many picks I have left

Most of that is generic enough to work in a fantasy setting.

I don't know the economics, but I assume a mold which sells 3-5 per customer is better than a mold that sells 1 per customer.

Maybe designing tiers to be 'for every two 5-pack type models we release, we will produce 1 hero' so the heroes or collectors line people want are not a loss.

It also comes down to what they have 'available'. I assume concept art, designs, and sculptors both 3D and physical are relatively expensive, and independent people providing minis sculpt what they want, not what people need necessarily.

I think some free-ware rules with dice packs and print-on-demand card packs from a company like 'drive-thru-games' can help the line without requiring impact to actually produce the game or have resources dedicated to it. I know a lot of people have rules and ideas, but until a game hits the market for testing or consumption,t here is nothing to 'reference' for gamers to use these models (outside free-form RPG games)

About $400 away from the next goal, Tergite is leading at present

Impact! have decided to go ahead and cast up some of Nick's other chibi minis. They are paying for the molding themselves so these can't be picked using your pledge level points they are paid for add ons only. If funding gets far enough they will review that if they can cover the molding costs from the KS itself.

Update #5

You can now get 6 packs for $15 and they've added an add ons only level $5 - no points but you can buy add ons.

Project Update #5: Stretch Goal #6 unlocked. Stretch Goal #7 and Add-ons
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Thanks to the backers we unlocked Stretch Goal #6 for the Nightgaunt and are now well on the way for Stretch Goal #7.

Backers can now use points to include the Nightgaunt in their reward.

Stretch Goal #7 unlocks at $13,600 and offers a poll fight between a contender from each genre. The TYPE 2 (30mm scale) Headless Horseman from the Horror category VS the TYPE 1 Snakeman (servant of Yig) for Cthulhu VS the TYPE 1 alien Tergite represents Space. Vote in this poll to determine who will win this fight to be the figure that unlocks for Stretch Goal #7: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BC7BFNX
Add-ons

Chris and I received more than expected in after the KickStarter add-ons from our Dungeon Crawl Classics dice KickStarter. After discussion we have decided to use those funds to work with Nick Kelsch to cast several of his new sculpts from the last month of this work and offer them as add-ons for this KickStarter in hopes that doing so will help unlock more stretch goals before the project ends. You may not use points to receive these figures. You must add-on the amount shown to your pledge level to receive these figures. A thank you to Nick for working with us so quickly to allow us to include these figures as part of the KickStarter. Below is the add-on menu for figures that you can add-on to your pledge to receive with your reward.

Figures that lost in previous poll fights

Starting with Stretch Goal #9 we will be bringing back figures that lost in previous poll fights to give them more chances to unlock for use with your points. So do not despair if the figure you really liked lost a previous poll fight. They should get another chance.

Also Impact! firmly believes in investing windfalls of sales back into our KickStarters. So even if your figure does not unlock there is a chance that we'll be announcing that we will be allowing the figure as an add-on so you can still get the figure even though the KickStarter did not reach the funding to allow us to add it the Select with Point menu of figures. So this is just a note to stay with us because like add-on on the figures based on our DCC revenue ... events can happen that will allow us to add more figures to the add-on list. Our greatest hope would be that the Kickstarter will hit a surge these last 2 weeks and we'll unlock most of the remaining figures with points ... but I wanted to make sure it was clear that it is possible (but not definite) that unlocked figures could be included in the Add-On list later.

Okay back to the last day of Adepticon. A thank you again to all our backers for helping us reach where we are so far.

Tom and Chris @ Impact!

I have some WIPs/greens which may help. The horseman photo is the 'conversion' which I did. The ones being cast are fresh ones with more stuff and better flames and such.

This is the pony Wagon:

The horseman body had some changes to make him ride the horse:

The Saddle Pony, Designed to make it easier for all chibi models to ride:

I hope that helps! Almost any chibi can ride the saddle pony as the head is forward and the saddle is flat. You just need spread legs stance or to fiddle with the legs.

5 Days to go can't seem to get past $14k or so at the moment hopefully it will pick up next week.

In news the Tergite's are now available as a 5 for 4 add on pack

The Drop Bear is currently leading the next poll but still a good way to go to unlock it at $15,200

Impact! have decided to cast any mini that has already been sculpted like the Student, Copper and Tsathoggua if they don't fund if they have the funds available themselves to do it. As result they will only be availbale in the Pledge Manager and will be paid add ons only - you can't use picks on them.

Link to Kenny's pledge manager - Kenny designs the actual pledge manager as well and it will be similar to this.

http://www.skykadia.com/impact/chibi_gaslight/

Tom spoke with both CMoN and Soda Pop at Adepticon.

CMoN approached them about stocking their chibi range and as a result are now stocking them. Tom was expecting an order for just a handfull but they took 2 of everyhting still in stock.

https://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/miniatures/impact-miniatures

Soda Pop see the Impact! range as being good for their own sales and the ranges compliment each other rather than competing - I'm amazed how many times someone asked for something during Forgotten King that Impact! already make but people completely dismiss Impacts! range.

Anyway Impact! and Soda Pop have come to an agreement that fans can make SDE cards for Impacts! minis and post them to BGG. Impact! will then be allowed to link to that card on their online store and provide people with unofficial rules for using their minis in SDE. They are hoping to have them done by Gencon. Permission is given to use Lorraine's art for the cards.

The BGG thread is here

Creator Impact! Miniatures 22 minutes ago
... we just received this permission from Soda Pop recently so I've been reaching out to our fans to encourage them to post the fan made cards to Board Game Geek. It takes time for that all to happen ... so they have not finished any yet so there are no links. When a card is finished ... I have permission to link to it from the sales page of the figure. So when you go to buy the figure right underneath it will be a link to a fan created SDE print and play card if one currently exists. I hope to soon be able to have a link for every card as I play to use this great permission of Soda Pop to the max to make both his game and my company better.

TL: DR - $15,200 stretch goal has been changed the current one has been scrapped the Dropbear is winning and would cost too much at this stage to sculpt given the project isn't even breaking even yet, it needs another $5k to cover everything but Impact! are willing to cover that to get the range done but anything added in the next 54 hours really helps. So at $15,200 Tsathoggua and Student will unlock as picks as they are already sculpted.

Project Update #8: Stretch Goal #9 update and decisions on Poll fight losers
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Chris and I have had several conversations on this KickStarter. We've discussed most how to make the best use of what cash we can allocate out of our own pocket as well as make best use of the money raised by the KickStarter to bring as much value to the backers for figures to pick from.

This lead to a difficult decision that we made this morning. At this point if Stretch Goal #9 unlocked and we had to pay to have the Drop Bear sculpted that would be equal to the expense of bringing 3 other figures that lost previous poll fights to market. In addition, it would delay our ability to ship the KickStarter rewards by at least 6 weeks ... probably more like 2 months compared to when we could ship rewards. When we announced Stretch Goal #9 ... we had no idea that the KickStarter was going to basically remain unchanged from that point so we made a difficult call this morning in an effort to bring more value to the KickStarter and keep the delivery schedule as timely as possible. (while it seems normal anymore for miniatures KickStarters to deliver late ... we really like to hit our delivery dates).

To that end ... we are removing the poll fight for Stretch Goal #9. In its place we wanted to offer to unlock two of the most beloved of the previous fight losers. Namely Tsathoggua and the Student. So if we reach $15,200, both of these figures will be added to the list of figures that you can get with points.

Chris and I FULLY understand that for some this will be unpopular. We can only apologize. We are honestly trying to do the best we can to maximize what happens with the funding the backers are giving us.

If we reach $15,200 during these final 2 1/2 days ... I'll gladly offer up more figures to unlock as another stretch goal.

However whether we do or do not reach Stretch Goal #9, Chris and I have decided to spend the extra funds needed to unlock all the Poll Fight losers that we have already sculpted as add-ons in the pledge manager. So even if Tsathoggua and the Student do not unlock ... they will be available.

Here is the list of the figures that will be made available in the pledge manager regardless of how much or how little extra funding we receive before the KickStarter ends (and not if we get enough more in these final days we'll definitely move them from add-ons to available for points) .. all figures are Type 1 unless otherwise noted:

Student
Cop
Tsathoggua (Type 2)
Frankie
Snakeman
Frosted Clear Resin Ghost
Short Range weapon Mech (Type 2)
Long Range weapon Mech (Type 2)
Energy weapon Mech (Type 2)

If the KickStarter ended as of this moment ... that will be a short fall of around $5,000 for us to cover to bring all those figures to market above the funding (so I'm hoping we can cut that number down over the next 2 1/2 days as that is not a small amount for our company).

We also promise to not lose the art for the Drop Bear. Chris and I have talked about doing a KickStarter in fairly near future to return to the more classic Dungeon Crawl Chibi and we promise to give the Drop Bear a chance to still be made when we do that project.

This was a difficult set of decisions to make both for trying to maximize what we can offer the backers vs disappointment vs financial risk for the company. Chris and I's first decision was to shelf all the poll fight loser sculpts and hopefully with another KickStarter be able to include them in the funding. That was probably the decision that made the most financial sense ... but this project has been such a roller-coaster that we really did not want to do something more than that to thank the backers that stuck with this project.

Thank you to all the backers that have stayed with us during the campaign and we look forward to seeing what the last 2 1/2 days bring.

Tom and Chris @ Impact!

Ah, that turntable is really helpful. From seeing the sculpts in-person, I was actually quite blown away by some of the type 1 (small) sculpts they had at AdeptiCon, but not so much by the type 2 (large).

So I think I'm sticking with my Tergite 5-pack, and this news doesn't change my pledge either way. I hope they raise a bit more before the end to cover any shortfall, though! And it's smart to focus on things they've already had sculpted at this point rather than adding more unsculpted items.

9 hours to go - Snakeman and Ghost unlocked $600 to go to unlock Copper and Frankie

Project Update #10: Last Day, the Tergite and a Snake Basket
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Welcome to the last day of the KickStarter backers. Thanks for your support during this adventure.

We are currently only $285 from unlocking Stretch Goal #10 to move the Snakeman and Ghost to the points menu so that seems like a real doable goal for today and I look forward to breaking through this stretch goal.

Andrew with 24 hours on the shot clock finished the Tergite sculpt and I have that to show to you as a last day update.

Despite the bug like arms ... the figure is only 2 pieces so assembly should not be very simple.

In addition, I had a request for some type of Spawn Point item if we had any and after serious consideration ... I realized we do have something that would work great. So now added to the Points menu as Type 1 for 1 point is a Snake Basket.

We currently have the following snake based Chibi: Snakie, Snake Cultist, Snakeman, Medusa, Yig, and the Snake Demoness so this gives you a great spawning point for a Snake based monster attack.

Looking forward to seeing what happens on the final day!

Tom and Chris @ Impact!

We just broke Stretch Goal #10 ... thank you backers!

The Type 1 Snakeman and Type 1 Frosted Clear Resin Ghost are now available for Points.

Stretch Goal #11 is up next at $18,500 and will unlock the Type 1 Cop and Frankie models for points.

I got these images for feedback last night at that stage it was still WIP so I think Andrew still has a little work to do on the upper set of claws I don't think they are final just yet. My feedback to Chris was basically head is great, body is a little spindley looking and could be a little thicker/longer I'd rather the tail curved backwards Scorpion style or the body was S shaped that said the design is very clever in that it will cast in one piece which wouldn't be possible in the original pose - nearly there I think but I also think there's still a little more work to be done to finish him off.

Happy enough with him as is and the final design/approval call is Chris and Tom's I just try to give them my honest feedback on what they send me based on my own preferences.

Yeah, I agree with those points DaveC, I hope they take that feedback into consideration. I'm not sure the "head claws" are even needed, to be honest, and it might look even a bit better without them (or without them as-is).

All done at $20,280 so the bonus minis are in. Glad this turned around in the last day or 2 they probably still a little short funds wise but it's a lot better than it was at least everything can be molded up and they can make it up on later sales plus the PM should bring in more funds which should hopefully cover any difference. Let's see if they can beat September delivery Ed has already finished some of the minis!

A lot of miniature KS tend to run late so credit needed when they manage to ship early (second Chibi KS Impact! have managed this for) - this will be shipping early July - 2 months early - address surveys have just gone out.

Project Update #17: It a bird, its a plane ... no a USPS guy with a tiny hill of boxes from Trollforged
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Thanks to the great work of the team at Trollforged we look like we'll be able to deliver our KickStarter 2 months ahead of schedule.

So the address surveys have gone out. We are probably still 2 weeks away from having everything we need to ship the rewards .... but we have a lot of it in already. The only figures we are missing from Trollforged at this time are:

Snakie
Tergite
Rynack
Yig
Wagon Pony
Space Mech - Energy weapons
Cthulhu

Just got off the phone with Ed and they expect me to have the final 7 of these items by middle of next week.

I hired my son and one of his friends to get everything bagged up for the multi-piece figures as quickly as possible. They are doing great work and we are down to just needing to bag up about 10 more figures plus the items still coming from Ed.

So at this time it looks like all rewards should be shipped out before the end of July. Which will be great as I'll be able to have these at Gen Con without begging eveyone's forgiveness for selling some of them at Gen Con so I can make sure I canpay the mortgage. ;-)

So a good news update ... happy to send to everyone.

I've update the thread title to keep it more relevant and make it more news based for now.

The next Chibi KS is scheduled for July. It's ponies, ponies and well ponies nothing else this time. The pony range is by far the most popular so it's getting expanded. It's not my thing but I've seen some of the artwork and the bronies are going to love it. The clockwork one in particular is one I might actually buy.

Currently planned - Ninja, Pirate, Zombie, Knight Skeleton, Walker Stalker, Time Traveler and more (along with some new accessories for the existing pony and unicorn)

Right now Dungeon Monster Chibi #2 is looking like February 2015. That will be an expansion of the original dungeon adventurers theme continuing on with a lot of ideas that didn't make the cut last time. There's loads of ideas floating around for that already.

I received my models from this past campaign, and they're well sculpted and cast. Very pleased! If only I had the ability to paint chibi / anime eyes

Also, I think all of mine may have been digitally sculpted? Based on WIPs I changed to Hounds and Ithaqua models. I told him this in-person at AdeptiCon, but again I think he needs better pics (these exceeded my expectations) and scale shots (hounds are much bigger, ithaqua smaller than I expected).

Shipping is about 20% done on the Gaslight Horror KS and there might be a mispack to look out for if you have yours already

from update #18

In addition, I discovered that there was a misunderstanding and 2 Snakemen instead of 2 Snake Cultist were being packed up in the Cultist pack add-on. They had finished about 20% of the orders ... so this is not going to effect the majority of you ... but for some of you when you open your package ... you might see 2 Snakemen instead of 2 Snake Cultist. If this happens to you and you preferred to receive the 2 Snake Cultist instead of the 2 Snakemen ... let me know and and we'll get 2 Snake Cultists shipped out to you.

I will be super interested in the designs which lend themselves to creep-building. 5-pack of skele horses and clockwork horses will be a must. Hero-clothed ponies hold no appeal for me, but I understand the appeal for others.

I hope there is a seapony of some sort. It was always silly but cool to have actual horse-head seahorses

due to launch next week - Tuesday July 29th

Paladin render

also update on the gaslight horror shipping

We are still getting in some casting from Troll Forged but are packing up what we can as we have quantities to do so.

As of tonight, the shipping count is:

118 Packages sent
38 Backers who have not locked in their Skykadia survey
76 Backers left to ship

So we are officially past the 50% mark for shipping. We are pretty happy with how quickly this KickStarter came together given we were planning for shipping in September originally.

We REALLY would love to launch on Pony Chibi KickStarter on Tuesday of next week (July 29th) so I am going to do my best to get those last 76 Backers out the door between now and Monday and messages to the 38 Backers with unlocked surveys so that we can reach the goal of getting our next Chibi KS project up and running. We've had a blast working with Lorraine to design the new Pony Chibi and we are looking forward to successfully delivering this project so we can launch that one.

Totally not into the ponies... HOWEVER my daughter has already decided which ones we'll be getting. She's threatened to fight my son's lizardmen in a Song of Blades and Heroes campaign.

Could be interesting...

I was told to ask if there would be any ponies in traditional Asian inspired garb.

Not my thing either (althought the clockwork one is tempting) but I'll be keeping an eye on it out of curiosity to see how it does by comparison to the last 2. I wish them luck and I'll keep the thread updated.

The Pony range is by far the most popular of the chibi stuff sales wise so it should do well and the better it does the more likely chibi dungeon adventurers KS 2 is likely to be.

Something about how Skykadia didn't recognize me when it was time to ship.

My screen name has always been Highlord Tamburlaine, but I've always added some snarky thing to the end of that, and I'm constantly changing it up. That's where the problem was.

The Highlord Tamburlaine in the system didn't match up with my current version.

The Giant Octopus is a fun sculpt by Nick Kelsch in case you need some different octopi monsters to be working with Cthulhu and the Cultists.

Here is the official painted octopus picture from earlier in the thread.

It is sized just on the verge of needing a 2" base, and in fact I was shipped both 1" and 2" bases for mine. The main tentacle mass just fits on a 1" base, while the body and two larger tentacles (seperate bits) would stick over the edge of the base. The octopus easily fits fully within the 2" base.

So...where is this Pony Kickstarter? No sign of it yet. I want to see packs of bits from Impact! I've wanted some dragonfly wings for years. They also have tentacles, scorpion tails, angel wings, etc. that all would be great for conversions on all manner of figure.

Project Update #1: 23 hours in and 75% funded! Let's take a vote on the 1st Stretch Goal
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Wow ... thank you backers. It is awesome to be at 75% with still an hour to left in the first full day of funding. Seriously ... thank you so much for helping us get the word out and get to this point already.

We have run the numbers multiple times to make sure we have it right and the first stretch goal will be at $6,500. Stretch goal #2 and beyond look like we'll be able to afford every $750 after that (we'll be watching the spreadsheet and revising this either up or down as we see how the pledges come in).

At $10,000 we'll be giving out free points to all the rewards levels of $50 or more (ranging from 2 free points at PONY reward level up to 13 extra free points at THROUGHBRED reward level).

Here were the first 3 concept groups that we worked with Lorraine to create for the KickStarter. We would like the backers to vote which concept group you would most prefer to have as the starting stretch goal. The plan will be then to unlock both figures in a row before moving on. By $10,000 we'll have unlocked all 5 and then we will use voting to determine what concept you'd like to see next.

Currently we have received a lot of concepts: Vampire Pony (with cape accessory), Barbarian Pony (with sword (maybe a club or flail)), Ranger Pony (with bow and arrows), Bard Pony (hey the new edition of D&D is trying to make them cool again!), Sea Horse Pony (monster or ally?). When we started this project Jordan Peacock gave us permission to use his gallery as a starting point for our ideas ( http://jordangreywolf.deviantart.com/gallery/36549387/Ponies-Unicorns-Nightmares-etc?offset=24 )... thank you Jordan! And we found some great ones but we wanted to build on it from there.

So thank you everyone for your support and ideas ... we look forward to unlocking stretch goals with everyone in the near future. Remember to comment below and let us know which group you'd like to see most.

Tom and Chris @ Impact!

Well it's funded currently at $7,072 which means the first stretch goal at $6,500 is unlocked as well

Time Traveller #4 = cost 6 points with Robocanine, 5 points without and the robocanine can be bought on it's own for 2 points

Next goal is at $7,500 and is for either Time Traveller #11, Zombie or Ranger (most votes in comments wins.

Update #4 Aug 9 2014

Zombie and Walker Stalker unlocked! Stretch Goals #3 announced and new question for Goal #4

Thank you backers for helping us blast through 2 Stretch Goals in the first 3 days of the KickStarter.

Chris and I are so pleased with how the KickStarter is going that we talked and agreed to unlock not only the Zombie which won the poll for Stretch Goal #2 by just 1 vote but we are also going to unlock the Walker Stalker Pony to go with it! I'll get these included in the points menu up front. Both Zombie Pony and Walker Stalker Pony will be 5 point Pony options.

Since the 2nd place finishers was soooo close. We are going to make the Time Traveler Pony #11 as Stretch Goal #3 and that will unlock at $8,250 which we are already making good progress towards reaching.

Now Stretch Goal #4 is gather a list for a poll. The Ranger was much more popular than we thought it would be. So we want to set up Stretch Goal #4 to add on a character class Pony and we would like you to then vote on who you would like it to be. Currently the choices are Ranger, Barbarian and Bard. But we wanted to know if there any other classes you'd really rather have instead ... so let us know. We'll gather up the best class ideas and after we reach Stretch Goal #3, we'll have a vote to see which one will be made for Stretch Goal #4.

To get ideas we are currently considering for inspiration for Lorraine to use to make the art for these 3 classes you can see the conversions that Jordan Peacock

Update #6 ℹ Aug 10 2014

Time Traveler Pony #11 unlocked! Poll for Stretch Goal #4 and update on FULL METAL PONY

Thank you backers ... we continue to carry on at a great pace! We unlocked Time Traveler Pony #11 last night so on to Stretch Goal #4.

However before we get to Stretch Goal #4 ... an update on FULL METAL PONY. Currently that reward comes with 8 pewter figurines with one of them being the Wizard Pony body with 2 hats to make it either Unicorn or Pony. We've had several backers message me to ask if they could pay a little extra so they could make both a Wizard Unicorn and Wizard Pony. The answer is yes. Add an additional $10 toyour pledge for the FULL METAL PONY and we'll include both versions of the Wizard Pony in your reward.

Now on to Stretch Goal #4 ...

Stretch Goal #4 - $9,000 - New Player Character Pony

We've seen some great ideas for player characters and we've written then all down. Cleric, Alchemist and Weapon Specialist Fighter were all incredible concepts that we hope to talk about through future stretch goals.

For now after much discussion between Chris and I about the additional concepts proposed, we decided to limit this poll to the original three choices we were first considering:
•Ranger
•Bard
•Zebra Barbarian

Vote below on which one you would rather have.

We definitely want to make the other 3 concepts as well that were proposed ... so I hope we keep knocking down stretch goals so we can create them as well.

If you need a refresher on the inspiration we are using to these 3 ... here were the links again to Jordan Peacock's conversions that Lorraine will be using to base the art:

Ranger Pony: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-lqxD4G5W574/UNp8oY69fuI/AAAAAAAAD7k/DV2Er86k6_Q/s565/2012-12-25-mlp-ranger-meadowcanter.jpg

Bard Pony: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-hUVJ_JTJR-Q/UNp8mgehWrI/AAAAAAAAD7E/3GHVu2mf7UY/s424/2012-12-25-mlp-bard-cacophony.jpg

Barbarian Pony: http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/097/8/6/zigzag_the_zebra_barbarian__detail__by_jordangreywolf-d60r5pf.jpg

As in the previous polls ... this poll stay open until the Stretch Goal is reached.

Thank you backers ... Chris and I are very happy with the progress of this KickStarter and we look forward to discussing many more stretch goals with everyone.

Finally ... for those that needed to see it ... here was Time Traveler Pony #11 that is now unlocked and available to be selected as part of your reward for 5 points.

Mmm missed update #7 that was unlocking the Ranger Pony (5 points) which won out over Vampire and Patchwork

Currently at $9,930 just $70 then to strtech goal #6 and some free points.

Project Update #8: Sea Pony unlocked! Free points stretch goal! Next Character Class Pony voting begins

We blasted through the Monster Pony Stretch Goal early this morning and Sea Pony (aka Hippocampus) was the clear winner so we will add having that art done on Lorraine's pile for post Gen Con.

I was not able to get the front page updated last night as I got in from Gen Con set up at 11pm and was exhausted. Sorry ... will get it updated to show that Baby Unicorn and Ranger and Hippocampus are all now 5 point Pony options.

Stretch Goal #6 is for extra free points! At $10,000 the following free extra points will be given to these reward levels:

$50 - PONY reward: 2 free extra points
$75 - MUSTANG reward: 3 free extra points
$85 - FULL METAL PONY reward: 4 free extra points
$100 - BRONCO reward: 4 free extra points
$150 - CLYDESDALE reward: 5 free extra points
$200 - WARHORSE reward: 8 free extra points
$250 - THOROUGHBRED reward: 13 free extra points
$500 - PONY WHISPERER reward: 13 free extra points

Since I'll be out at Gen Con all day finishing the booth setup ... I wanted to announce Stretch Goal #7 as well in case we reach $10,000 early today. Stretch Goal #7 will be us unlocking a new Character Class pony.

Stretch Goal #7 will be at $11,500.

After much discussion and debate ... we wanted to limit the voting to 3. And while the Bard pony is a fun idea ... we wanted to give two other concepts a chance so Bard is going to sit out this round but we promise that it will come back for the next character class stretch goal.

So the voting for Stretch Goal #7 will be between:

Zebra Barbarian
Druid
Cleric

Thank you backers ... Chris and I are amazed at the steady pace of the KickStarter and are greatly appreciate all the backer support to date!

Project Update #9: Druid unlocked! Next stretch goal at $12,750
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Thank you again backers! Last night we unlocked the Druid as the winner of the backer poll to be added to the list of ponies you can choose from for your reward.

Lorraine is home from Gen Con and is working on the art and we hope to show you the finished Druid, Ranger and Hippocampus by this weekend.

Chris and I are working through our options and costs for the next stretch goal. We know the goal will unlock at $12,750 ... we just are working through what options we want to offer the backers for the poll. We promise to make up our minds and start the poll running tomorrow morning.

Gen Con was great. I appreciated talking to so many of our past backers. Thank you for stopping by the booth!

Until tomorrow when we announced the poll ... I wanted to show you to the rough sketch that Lorraine finished already for the Druid. We really enjoy how it turned out.

Next Stretch Goal at $12,750. 5 way Character Poll for who unlocks next
39 comments

We have art from Lorraine for the 3 previous ponies that unlocked. We have a 5 way poll this time to see who unlocks next as an option.

Zebra Barbarian: http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/097/8/6/zigzag_the_zebra_barbarian__detail__by_jordangreywolf-d60r5pf.jpg ... should be noted that the flail will probably be replaced by a Battle Axe to improve castability
Cleric (top right image ... thanks to Ponyfinder for this concept which was the best starting point we could find): https://s3.amazonaws.com/ksr/projects/615644/photo-main.jpg?1397826980 ... we will be adding a long handled warhammer to his side.
Bard Pony: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-hUVJ_JTJR-Q/UNp8mgehWrI/AAAAAAAAD7E/3GHVu2mf7UY/s424/2012-12-25-mlp-bard-cacophony.jpg Will have the drums but will use a different instrument for the mouth
First Mate Pirate Pony: http://www.impactminiatures.com/Temp/First_Mate_Pony.jpg
Fighter Pony: Based on this: https://derpicdn.net/img/view/2014/1/21/530699.png but instead of a human stance a switch up to a rearing stance ( http://drawingforkids.org/77060-rearing-horse-image ). Warrior Red is one of our most popular Chibi miniatures so to capture a similar look we'd put a Battle Axe across his back, a sword in scabbard on one leg and a knife in sheath on the other. The Unicorn horn and googles would also be removed.

So place your vote below ... which of the 5 do you want to see at $12,750?

And last but definitely not least ... here are the 3 images from Lorraine for the unlocked Ponies.

In other news the Gaslight Horror stuff should be in the store next week.

Project Update #12: Final 3 Days! Chibi House unlocked ... future Stretch goals (help us reach them all!)
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Hello backers ... we are entering the final 3 day push for the KickStarter and we run the numbers for our expenses and we looked at where KickSpy is projecting we'll end up and it has been fluxing around $18,500 today (+/- $150). If we could reach $18,500, we could unlock 7 more Ponies and so that is our official stretch goal point that we would like to reach. But we'll need your help! Please visit your social media outlet of choice and/or discussion forums to let them know we are in the final days. Your help is greatly appreciated!

We unlocked a special surprise stretch goal at $13,000. We now have a Chibi House that you can use with your Ponies. It is scaled to match up with the size of the Ponies and would work great with a Ponyfinder/RPG setting an inn or strange house in the forest for an adventure. The inside is hollow so you can even hide a monster or important quest item under it. The Chibi House is only 14 points (and it definitely requires some assembly but glues together pretty easily from the one I've worked on). The house is the creation of Eddie Gonzales.

FUTURE STRETCH GOALS:

So we said at $18,500 we'd be able to create 7 more Ponies ... what will they be?

$13,750 - First Mate Pirate Pony
$14,500 - Zebra Barbarian Pony
$15,500 - Bard Pony
$16,500 - Alchemist Pony and Chaos Hunter Pony
$17,500 - Frankenpony
$18,500 - Vampire Pony
$20,000 - More free points to backers
$21,000 - Vote between 50mm tall Trojan Horse Pony (that can hold hidden 2-3 Baby Unicorns inside it), Time Traveler Exterminate Robotic Alien Pony or Cyborg Pony

We created a new graphic which we posted on our Facebook page to help anyone advertise our final 3 days for the KickStarter and show off the ponies we have unlocked to date

If you want to easily share the image you can share the image from our Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/impact.miniatures

Finally, Lorraine should have sketches for the next 4 stretch goal ponies soon and we'll share them as soon as they come in. She finished the Cleric Pony and we really like it. The Templar Crosses on the Pony will not be sculpted into the pony, but we will be sculpting the symbol into the Warhammer (but that will be an optional piece to add to the figure). Cleric Pony is 5 points.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give the project in our final 3 days and thank you for your backing of the project to help us reach where we already are.

I seem to have missed update #13

First Mate Pirate Pony and Zebra Barbarian Pony unlocked! Bard Pony up next

What a great last 24 hours!

In the last 9 hours we've unlocked both the First Mate Pony AND the Zebra Barbarian Pony!

Up next is the Bard Pony at $15,500. Thank you everyone. To the 13 that shared our final 3 day image of the project on Facebook ... a big thank you. If you want to share it to help us in the final days run and have not you can find it at https://www.facebook.com/impact.miniatures A twitter hit or an online discussion forum shout out ... all of it is very much appreciated. Tabletop Gaming News, The Miniatures Page and Equestria Daily have all been contacted to hopefully help us have a great final 3 days to unlock as many extra Ponies as possible.

So just a big thank you for the last 24 hours and I wanted to share with you the sketches and art for the 3 Ponies involved with this update.

STRETCH GOAL at $15,500 - Bard Pony:

UNLOCKED this morning ... a sketch of the Zebra Barbarian and the art for the First Mate Pirate Pony. (note on First Mate ... it was pointed out that the peg leg should be on a back leg in case someone wanted to convert to create a hook hoof for one of the front legs. So we are strongly looking at moving the peg leg to a back leg).

and now for #14

Another stretch goal unlocked - Bard Pony! Chaos Hunter and Alchemist Pony unlock at $16,500

We just unlocked Bard Pony which is great! We are still 6 hours way from the magic 48 hour period of the KickStarter (which is when all the folks who asked KickStarter to remind them get reminded) which should be another round of new backers to help unlock more stretch goals.

I really like what Lorraine did with the design for the Bard Pony. We asked her to mix Jordan Peacock's Bard Pony with a redone Flugelhorn and then go for it with her artistic style to come up with a good Bard. Really love the outcome (especially the add-on of the throwing knives that I did not even think of but are a very bard style weapon).

At $16,500 we are going to unlock 2 Ponies. Why two? Because the stretch goal really is for the Alchemist Pony and I just really wanted the Chaos Hunter Pony even though he took last in the character poll a few days ago ... so I agreed to pay out some cash from my development budget to make sure that the Chaos Hunter was made as well.

Lorraine finished the art for the Alchemist Pony already and we have a sketch for the Chaos Hunter pony.

Thank you everyone for all your support ... this has been a great and fun KickStarter to run.

Currently at $19,893 with 29 hours to go.

Project Update #17: Vampire Pony unlocked! Free points up next at $20,000. Answer the Poll for what comes next!
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

We've unlocked our next member of the Undead Pony army by unlocking the Vampire Pony. He is now available to pick for your reward for 5 points.

At $20,000 we'll unlock more free points for several of the levels:

PONY will get 2 more points and will have 54 total points
MUSTANG will get 2 more points and will have 85 points
FULL METAL PONY will get 2 more points and will have 6 points
BRONCO will get 2 more points and will have 116 points
CLYDESDALE will get 5 more points and will have 180 points
WARHORSE will get 6 more points and will have 244 points
THOROUGHBRED will get 8 more points and will have 311 points

Finally we have the poll for what comes should we reach $21,000.

We needed to change the 3 ponies that will be involved with the poll. Silver Games would like to carry the figures in our range that match up to the Ponyfinder RPG. We are excited to have created a range that he would like to carry. As a result, we wanted to change up what we had planned for the poll and have two character classes in it along with the Trojan Horse (which both Chris and I (along with my wife and teenage boys who informed me it had to be in the poll)).

So here are the 3 items for your consideration for the poll.

TROJAN HORSE - This will be a 50 to 60mm monster that will fit on a 40mm base. The design will have a hollow body that can hold at least 2 of our Baby Unicorns converted to Baby Ponies inside it (going to try and get 3 but no promises). The design will be a mix between: the sculpt will be a mix of http://www.cincinnatireview.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/trojan-horse-canakkule-300x225.jpg and http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/121/a/4/trojan_horse___color_by_jacktzekov-d4y7ly9.jpg
ELDER MAGE UNICORN - The current Wizard Pony will be great for the Witch character class in Ponyfinder. Which means we could use another spellcaster for the Wizard character class. So are looking to create a sculpt for this that is a mix of and http://www.neeerd.com/img/imgAlbumes/675/1591/0040_qlvulc8w-mi-pequeno-pony-tuneado-tuneado-tuning-pequeno-pony.jpg and http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/232/f/d/gandalf_the_grey_as_a_pony__9_by_ninbikun-d5ba8vn.png
GUNSLINGER UNICORN - Chris loved the idea of bring in this pretty unique Pathfinder character class and not a look you often see in the world of Pony miniatures. While a challenging class to play in Ponyfinder, I know characters would want to give it a try. The sculpt will look a bit like this: http://th01.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2012/273/5/c/gunslinger_vine_by_juanrock-d5gey4b.jpg Needs a High Noon Hat with a unicorn horn and we'll change the pose as Ponyfinder would not allow the character to hold a gun in its hooves. We'll move the holster to the other side of the body so that it is under the hoof (so that it looks like he is about to draw the weapon (even if he'll use magic to do so)).

The last 2 days have been incredible and we look forward to what the final day and half have to offer.

7 Hours to go and knocking over the Stretch goals

Project Update #21: $24,000 reached! Cyborg Pony unlocked! Gattling Gun duo unlocked! Next 3 stretch goals
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

We keep rolling through the stretch goals backers ... thank you!

We've reached $24,000 and the winner of the poll is unlocked. The winner was the Cyborg Pony. But wait there is more! You've acted now and unlocked a set of gattling guns as an 2 point accessory that will fit on the Cyborg Pony or even the standard Pony and Unicorn (mixing the Hat with a Pony and a set of Gattling Gun would make a fun Old West Pony (maybe paint a gold star on him to be a serious sheriff)).

We also now know our next three stretch goals:

At $25,000 we'll unlock the Trojan Horse pony which will be a large scale figure (50mm to 60mm in height) and will be on a 40mm base. It will be a 10 point figure (which is going to be a deal because I'm guessing this will be a $15 to $20 figure when it is in the store). The figure will be designed to hold two Baby Unicorns with their horns either trimmed down or removed and we are going to try to make it fit 3 of them if possible (but it might only be 2).

At $27,000 we will unlock the Mummy figurine.

At $30,000 ... besides thinking I owed you all a larger thank you than the personal video. We'll unlock more free points.

PONY will get 1 more point to a total of 55
MUSTANG will get 2 more points to a total of 87 points
FULL METAL PONY will get 3 more points to a total of 9 points
BRONCO will get 3 more points to a total of 119 points
CLYDESDALE will get 4 more points to a total of 184
WARHORSE will get 7 more points to a total of 251 points
THOROUGHBRED will get 8 more points to a total of 319 points

$23,000 reached and we are well on the way to the $24,000 stretch goal. Awesome backers.

Archmage Pony is unlocked.

Chris and I are so happy with how this has been doing!

My friend and current backer of this KickStarter, Darkson gave me the Ice Bucket Challenge late last night. I made a donation to ALS this morning in addition to taking on the challenge which I was very happy to hear has brought in 10x to 20x their normal donations from this campaign. But since this KickStarter has been so great ... I wanted to merge the challenge by making sure I could give a personal thank you for how incredible our backers have been. So thank you backers! I really look forward to seeing how the rest of today goes!

Warning: If you are sick of ice bucket challenge videos ... skip the link and just know that I am overwhelmed and grateful for the backer support of this KickStarter.

We have art for the new stretch goal ponies which start unlocking at $24,000

Lorraine sent me in the art for all the figure. She worked all night on them so you guys would have them (she just emailed me at 10am to say she was going to get some sleep). Consider this my official Lorraine is incredible shout out.

So here are the images for the figures that needed art. Note I do not have an image of the Trojan Horse from Lorraine because I know Juan can nail a chibi version sculpt based on the two images I found of Trojan horse to use (and effectively it is a wooden version of the Clockwork .. just big and hollow and with a door).

The poll to decide which pony unlocks at $24,000 is here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/674003445/chibi-pony-adventurers-miniatures/posts/967415

Also I made an error in the last update ... the poll will stay open until $24,000 (not $23,000) is reached. So you still have about $1000 left before we reach $24,000 to get in and say who you are voting for. Oh and if the art makes you change your mind ... in the comments say ... "Change my vote from X to Y" Thanks!

Without further ado ... here is Lorraine's art for the stretch goal ponies for today:

Gunslinger which was unlocked at $21,000

Mummy Pony

Also a reminder that at $20,000 we unlocked more free points for several levels for the new points per a reward level are:

PONY now has 54 points
MUSTANG now has 85 points
FULL METAL PONY now has 6 points
BRONCO now has 116 points
CLYDESDALE now has 180 points
WARHORSE now has 244 points
THOROUGHBRED now has 311 points

Finally ... I'm strongly considering unlocking a dual Gattling Gun accessory that would fit on the Pony, Unicorn or Cyborg Pony sculpts. Is that a fun accessory to have? Would you get one if it was 2 points?

Proposed Gattling Guns accessory shown on Cyborg Pony

Last day ... thank you for all your help, comments and support ... hoping we can unlock several more ponies before it is over.

$23,000 ... Archmage unlocked! A personal thank you to the backers

$24,000 reached! Cyborg Pony unlocked! Gattling Gun duo unlocked! Next 3 stretch goals

•PONY will get 1 more point to a total of 55
•MUSTANG will get 2 more points to a total of 87 points
•FULL METAL PONY will get 3 more points to a total of 9 points
•BRONCO will get 3 more points to a total of 119 points
•CLYDESDALE will get 4 more points to a total of 184
•WARHORSE will get 7 more points to a total of 251 points
•THOROUGHBRED will get 8 more points to a total of 319 points

Final 2 hours! Trojan Horse and Mummy Pony unlocked + Baby Unicorn pack

Amazing! Backers ... we are heading into the final 2 hours and we just unlocked the Mummy Pony which will be a 5 point Pony. We also unlocked the Trojan Horse Pony which will be a hollow 60mm Pony that can hold Baby Unicorns (that you shorten the horns). This will be a 10 point Pony. The front page has been updated to show both of these in the miniature chart.

Based on a backer suggestion (thank you KevinR) we are also added as an option getting a pack of 3 Baby Unicorns that I do the horn clip for you (as well as providing 3 special 10mm sized bases) that will fit inside the Trojan Horse Pony. (as noted before ... only 2 might fit ... not sure if we can get 3 in). This pack of 3 will only be 10 points.

Thank you backers so much for an incredible KickStarter! So with 2 hours left on the clock ... can we reach $30,000 and unlock more free points for Pony level and up? If we do that will be epic from how well we thought this project will do.

We had a question about doing more Ponyfinder Ponies in the future and I can definitely say ... we will strongly think about it. Not sure if any will appear in Dungeon Monster Chibi 2 that we plan to do in February 2015 but we will definitely look it over.

Cannot express enough how much this KickStarter has been very fun to organize!

Images for unlocked:

I do not have Lorraine Art for the Trojan Horse. Picture taking the Clockwork Pony and making it wood like the body of this horse with a Chibi look and a shape like this image. Then you have short horned Baby Unicorns that can go in hollow cavity in the Trojan Horse. A panel on the top of the miniature can lift off to reveal the Baby Unicorns.

An incredible 3 weeks. Thank you backers for a great KickStarter

27 Pony miniatures and 4 accessories unlocked in 3 weeks ... more than 1 a day. Incredible.

Thank you so much backers. Great KickStarter and it was a pleasure to run it and work with the backers on it.

Juan will be working on all the sculpts over the next month and Kenny will be working on the pledge manager. We'll keep you updated as both are completed.
