U took an eldar prisoner and ive only killed chaos and orks. no eldar, no tau, no necrons yet. And ur chaos army is massive and we are limited.

well just as well I wasn't as active as before because I can't carry out a tyranid invasion when an event is one it's way I shall wait in the Shadows of the Warp for the tide of current events to settle. Then causeing great upheaval I shall break the surface, Ripples of fear and madness shall spread. Those that are not driven insane by the Chaos of the Warp will be devoured by my Untold thousands. Character race: Space Marine
Character profession: Sergeant of the Blood Ravens
Character personality: He is a wise tactician and can get his squad trough most situations. He has an special hatred for Tyranids after they took off he left arm, he liked that arm.
Character appearance: Clad in Eagle variant Armour but with a Maximus helmet painted white to show his rank. He has a bionic left arm which he got after a Tyranid chopped it off.
Character height: 7'4"
Character equipment: He can be armed either with a power sword and bolt pistol, or a bolter depending on the situations these are otherwise strapped to his belt if not in use. His belt also includes several grenades of various sorts.
Character bio/background story: Troubled from flashbacks of the Aurelia wars he sometimes isn't all there this leads to some of his squad questioning his fitness and right to lead. However it has yet to reduce his combat efficiency. He is seeking something aboard this ship although he hasn't told his squad what it is yet partly because he doesn't know himself but he knows he must find it.

actually the only troops I lost in that battle were zombies, bloodletters, a few plague marines and lots of cultists. 'curb stomped' is not when you annihilate part of the enemies forces, and make a tactical withdrawal, curb stomped would be if I lost a lot more troops, and was pretty much doomed. no one is, so far. I am pretty impressed that I managed to make it out alive. and that WARORK or Gorskar didn't go utterly absurd to win.


the end result of the battle was pretty much a stalemate.

the Black Templars could be dealt with by only a 10th of my forces (Chaos marines are more powerful than regular marines) as long as Black Templar doesn't grossly overestimate his capabilities, I would at least send him back to his ship with a bloodied nose.

the eldar are utterly insignificant there are only TWO of them, but that does not mean I am getting complacent, no, they will be...dealt with...in time...

Do I have to wait for Darko to finish the event before I can post my introduction or can I do it as soon as he has approved my character?

Actually, no. The better and more intelligent your posts and actions, the more likely it is you'll survive. Otherwise you might find yourselves tripping into a sacrificial pit or being crushed by a falling Carnifex.

I actually considered just having Warklaw make a balls out charge, rip the titan in two and then continue on without stopping but then realized even if he was a mega dread that would be pretty hard to believe, so I had his arm blasted off and left the attack on a generalized "They've broken through the Chaos lines and are now moving into close combat range."

But yeah...I saw that Warhound and couldn't resist fulfilling the prophecy...

I actually agree. the reason I brought in the warhound, and then just plain went nuts, was because I was trying to keep things in the sphere of 'Epic Battle' but (And I am not innocent in this) people just started to up their power, with their constant 'But that wasn't the real commando you killed!' stuff and more. I just got so irritated that I could not keep things in the realm of the reasonable that I fought fire with fire and godded all over the room)

All I killed was a librarian, a few tanks and some gaunts. Lost 20 marines and a champion. If anything that's like the reverse of god modding.

Really sorry about this but in the absence of events which causes the lack of posting oppertunities i've joined other RPs to pass the time. Unfortunatly, I can't handle them all when time is scarse and need to stop a few of them. As this is the one that seems to be unavailable the most i've chosen to give it up, so this is my resignation post. Guys, i've recived a slap on the wrist for it myself and i have no desire to be the explaining to darko that we got his threads locked while he was gone, so I'm gonna have to use my authority as Deputy GM and ask that you cut out the off topic that plagues this thread.

Lets dicuss what's happened so far and do a little "what if?" planning.

For Example, with Sister of Kreig backing out, I'm going to have her character separate from Eluna so that she can be removed in a way that won't effect my character directly, once Dark Void has an event sorted of course.

As for the constant cries of "MOAR EVENT" i understand that waiting a month for an RP is kinda silly, but you have to remember that these events are often huge undertakings where the GM has to keep track of every player, their position, and their forces, (which i hope will no longer be getting "one up" reinforcements.) those guilty know who you are, and where not helping Darko's case by suddenly springing more things for him to keep track of.

TLDR: Cut out the off-topic, Discuss your character's future and plans

Actual, pouring sugar in a gas tank has little effect on a vehicle's performance, i think i saw an episode of mythbusters that tried it once.

Wizard, once i know that you survive the next event, i can start making plans to join up, and possibly with the space wolf too, as for the event, Darko hasn't provided me with any details of what's coming, so i know just as much as you guys do.

EDIT 2: and as for anyone going on and on about how mighty their warhost is and how that makes them invincable, all its takes is one sentence from myself or Darko to take that away. Keep that in mind.

Not really, as its not much different to what you've been doing, talking big for fun and fistycuffs, and there are many ways he can "defeat it" without fighting it head on, killing you for example, or causing your section of hulk to fragment or just manipulate the orks to keep rushing you. (and after Warork made your titian his new boot/'ead polish, the orks seem pretty enthusiastic about fighting chaos-boyz.)

Heck, any other players might not have to do anything to anyone to defeat them. Remember that everyone's situations can change at Darko's whim. Even mine.

Some more harshly than others it would seem. It appears a lot more thread locking and post editing/deletion takes place down here from what I've observed in my long-time lurking and even as a member compared to most of the other boards. Could someone explain why that is? Seems strange that one board (except perhaps the off-topic board ) should have excessively more spam, off-topic and rule breaking than any other.

If you have an issue with this then you need to take it up directly with the MOD team. Please do not derail this thread further in this direction.

Suffice to say that if people persist in ignoring requests, posting copyright breaching materials and generally failing to comply to follow the forum rules then actions will be taken.

This also includes, for example, having a second ( or third or etc etc ) "sock puppet" or alternative account which they use sometimes, which is something else we don't allow. Such users generally are given a warning, if it's an honest mistake for example, but otherwise all their accounts are permanently barred from the site.

You are not allowed to register and use a sock puppet account for roleplaying purposes. If you have done so but did not formerly know about this rule please write a PM to a moderator ASAP giving all of your usernames. Please include which account you would like to remain open as you are only allowed to have one. Turning yourself in is the best evidence that having multiple accounts was just an honest mistake. Waiting to be caught by moderators tends to show that you were trying to break the site's rules and we will be more likely to suspend your account.

And, as always, don't be afraid to PM any moderator about your questions regarding the site's rules. It's always better to ask first than to go ahead and mistakenly break a rule.

That sounds good. I regret I can't marshal much air power so resupplying may be an issue, but if we're being conservative in our attacks then it might not even constitute a problem.
