I only picked up the scatter terrain, but can't wait for the rest of it to hit the store so I can pick up what need as I can afford it.

The Interior Detail stuff...so awesome...

Update #10

Nov 21 2014

Interior Panels - the basics.

Infinity is a detailed 'verse and there's nothing better than playing Infinity on a detailed table.. one where you can get down at eye-level with the figures and go.. "In through the door, cover behind the table.. chain rifle template down the center.. job done..."

Our Interior Panel system was designed to be modular - so Habitats share many wall slots where you can insert high-detail resin panels:

You can remove these panels after assembly, to allow you to paint them or to swap them around for alternative panels that fit the same size area....

These two panels are both "Large", Accommodation on the left (with bunk-bed and MDF backing) and a "Personal Station" on the right....

Each panel is supported by MDF inserts, some panels have extra MDF (such as the bunk-bed) to finish their effect off and look neat & tidy...

..and the system allows you to swap same-size panels around as much as you like:

..by altering the combination of panels in a Habitat you can change its function - 4 Large accommodation panels and it becomes a living unit, A Science Station and Personal Station and you can turn it into a working laboratory or command center.

By making new panels we can add different functions and allow you to use the same building for entirely different purposes.

We will be putting up a list of all the different panels, along with images and individual prices, over the next few days.

So, after seeing that latest vid showing the new renders of the Super Hawk, I was curious if it had become modular, like the Samsara with different cockpit and engine pieces. When I asked about that in the comments, I got this response:

Creator Antenocitis Workshop Ltd about 13 hours ago
Barzam: Other than some modularity of weapons packages, at the moment, no it isnt modular. THere may be a deluxe version with detailed interior and separate ramps and doors though - but that is very much a WIP at the moment.

So, I guess the new cockpit and engines are here to stay, but the fact that they're planning a version with a fully detailed interior is certainly newsworthy!

Indeed it is, would look good with a few "backdrop" Superhawks.

Good News - SuperHawk unlocked - bad news £68 don't think I can justify that price for a piece of terrain :(

Next Stretch goal - Alien Trees at £70,000

Work-In-Progress:

We build these models up the traditional way, no 3d designs" so they take quite a lot of time to get just-right and, normally, some of the core shapes of the trees below would be impossible to cast as they are now, let alone once we have added in the extra fungus and vines.

All of this set would come bases (as the front 3 are being done) and all with elements of the 4 fungal growths, bushes and vines, that we have done on the fallen trees set... there's a lot to do still on them but from small acorns...

To be fair, the dropship is 8 inches long. That's pretty big. But yeah, $106 plus whatever the shipping will be is pretty damn expensive. When this hits their retail site, I have to wonder how much it'll be and what the shipping will be like then.

Antenocitis Workshop News and Rumors - Kickstarter now live! @ 2014/11/24 19:27:42

Post by: DaveC

It's a solid chunk of resin alright. The KS seems to be about 10% discount so I'd say £75 retail which qualifies for free shipping.

EDIT retail price will be £90 so 25% discount.

I don't think £68 is that expensive for a large resin vehicle. Not sure my hobby budget can stretch to this, scatter and the other things I have planned to purchased over the next few months.

Painted Super-Hawk...

Now, if you are one of those who have decided to go for a Super-Hawk then you will be entered into a draw for one person to receive their Hawk pre-painted by David Woods aka Dwartist, who is a very well known and rather excellent painter of miniatures and military vehicles.

That will be a fully detailed and weathered example, painted in your chosen scheme, to a very high professional level..and at no cost extra... and a HUGE thanks to David for this fabulous offer.

Nice! I am expecting some mdf sci-fi corridors to arrive in a month or so and a lot of those pieces will be perfect for detailing the walls. I don't think a 5-pack of scatter terrain is going to cut it anymore.

Ah I don't think a 15 pack will either. I've asked if they will do a 20 pack mostly for convenience other wise I'll get 15 and add a few extras

I can't decide weathered or pristine. I like how clean and nice the pristine looks. I want weathered building but not sure I am particularly sold on the way the laser did the weathering. So I'm not sure if I want pristine, then put some paint parts to chip them off for weathering instead.... decisions.. decisions.

And now colors... although that is a bit easier. I'm leaning towards blue, green or gold in that order.

What is everyone else going to end up doing, has anyone decided?

I've got it narrowed down to green or gold, so far.

I haven't seen them making a big deal about the costs to add the interior molding, apart from the + pledge levels, but there is that list of prices hidden amongst all the other stuff.

Is it just a case of upping my pledge by the appropriate amount on that list and then dealing with it when the surveys go out?

Definitely going with the Pristine, it gives us the most options for weathering (or not) in the future).
I may just not weather at all, then I can just drop them on a snow or grass board and still have it look decent with the right scatter terrain.

I think I'll go orange, it has the clean corporate sci-fi look down but still has some nice pop on the table.

I'm thinking weathered in Blue, Gold, Orange, Green, Grey, and Red.

Only for the Plus pledges. For the rest of us it is one colour only, though they said they will consider allowing Red for the medibay.

You can now pick different colours for each habitat for a one off £10 charge (plus pledges already have this option at no charge)

As standard you get to chose the primary colour of your Habitats in your pledge, but that is a single colour for all your Habitats. To give everybody the choice of colours for each Habitat means a significant overhead in terms of management of pledges, production cycles and even packaging... but it is a popular and recurring request.

So to enable this we've made a £10.00 add-on which then gives you the option to chose a primary colour for each Habitat in your pledge, those colours being one of the 7 shown in previous updates. This is a one-off flat fee for your pledge, it is not a per-building cost.

Hmmm, there's quite a few of the power strain+ available, but the cost to buy 6, 8 & 9 (which in my mind are the best ones) and kit them out in resin is quite a bit. Gonna have to work out if it's worth it for the boxes and vehicles.

Do buildings bought as add-ons to the + levels get the same extra special stuff as the ones that are from the bundles (logos, different colours)?

£75K & £80K Stretch Goal Concepts
Comment
4 likes

Two quick concept designs for the next 2 stretch goals...

1) Blast Shields - used for protecting your Habitats from the jet-wash of landing drop-ships, can be joined together into a block with "locking nuts" and put in raised or lowered positions (a heavy nod & wink towards Hadleys Hope in this design):

2) Objective Room (for Infinity Scenarios) alt - C&C Room.

This is a very rough concept showing a "Habitat-style" Objective room - its large enough to fit one of our Tactical Tables in the center (where the large white block in the middle is) and by making some new resin panels (not those shown) we can also turn it into a C&C center for the heart of your Forward Base. Wall panels to include C&C screens, tactical maps, mainframe slots and so forth...

(Interior space is the standard 200x200mm square - 4 doors at equi-distance on each side)

and shown with the blast screens...

This will come with some roof scatter - probably a comms station and solar set, and then the optional interior panels and Tactical Table (possibly a couple of chairs).. details to be firmed-up before we get to pricing it.

(Apologies for the roughness of the concepts, i've quite literally had to make them up today!)

Panels sets for each habitat

larger image http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/standard-interior-panels.jpg

Add on costs for each panel if you want individual ones/extras

and the Habitat bundle prices again

edit: Forgot to add the mirrored solar panels are now available as an add on as well 2 for £6.75 rather than the 4 resin ones. The mirrored seem to be clear acrylic with a foil layer inside hence the lesser amount in the pack.

Stretch Goals Redux!

£77,500.00 : Stretch Goal - Corporate Screens

Screens have a couple of functions - to hide away the grubbier sections of your Forward Bases and to act as advertising.

For gaming they can be used standing on the ground or placed on building rooftops...

£82,500.00 : Stretch Goal - Large Waste Bins

Bases create rubbish, you need somewhere to put it! These large industrial sized waste bins are ideal as cover for even the largest of figures. The lids of each section are removable to reveal an interior already filled with rubbish.

Hi everyone,

Forward Base is coming to a close this weekend at around 8pm Sunday UK time.

With a set of new pledges having gone online last night there are some available top-tier pledges now available for the first time in a while, so if you looked earlier but couldn't get a pledge, then now might be worth a second look.

September latest... there are now some June/July slots available.. even the odd Wave 1 March slot appears as people shuffle their pledges... Some people have been holding multiple pledges so that they can chose their best option/route, and those are now starting to be released as that decision is made by them.

Safety Barriers £6.75 (We recommend 2-3 packs minimum for a 4x4 table)

---==---

Not yet unlocked:

Corporate Screens (6 for £6.75 if unlocked)

Blast Screens (3 for £6.75 if unlocked)

Industrial Waste Bins (2 for £6.75 if unlocked)

---===---
Terminal Screens

Terminal Screens

One of the earlier stretch goals (it appears I missed posting up) are the "Terminal Screens". These are access terminals cast in a coloured translucent resin, you paint the lower part and then add a photo-print of a keyboard (supplied) or similar.
This then provides you with a set of small and easy to place Access points which can be used for Objectives, hacking points and so forth. (20+ to a pack)

Note: The above is our working list, If we've missed anything you think should be in on the list just post a comment and we will double check.

---===---
Availability of items post-KS:

During the post-KS pledge manager period most , if not all, items will be available for inclusion in orders, however we reserve the right to limit or exclude any items from inclusion after the end of Kickstarter funding period.

The reason for this is that some items have lengthier development and pre-production periods that may cause delays if high-numbers are allowed to be chosen post-KS. As such we do not wish for large numbers of add-ons, submitted after the KS closes, to become a blockage in production and delay delivery of WAVE 1 pledges (in particular) and possibly the other waves.

Thus, if you want to be certain that you can get an item we recommend that you pledge for it ( or add it to your WAVE-specific pledge price as an add-on) during the KS.

This will then ensure that you will get that item included in your reward... if not it is possible, that by waiting until the post-KS period, then that item may not be available - or only available during a later WAVE 2 or 3 dispatch period. (This latter circumstance being the most likely scenario)

An item added to your reward post-KS, that is limited to a later WAVE dispatch, may incur separate postage fees, so, once again, if you can, get it included during the KS if you can.

This may never occur of course, the only item currently on the watch-list for limited numbers being the Super-Hawk - so there's no need to panic...but if you can, pledge now!
Painted Super-Hawk:

And on the topic of the Super-Hawk: Only those who have pledged for a Super-Hawk during the KS are eligible for the draw to pick 1 winner to receive a fully-painted Super-Hawk. If you add a Super-Hawk after the KS closes then you will not be entered into that draw (Sorry, but, again, this is a benefit of pledging during the KS)
Are you the One?

The first pledgers for Forward Base PLUS and Power Strain PLUS in WAVE 2 and 3 will receive a special edition set of Corporate Screens ("Primus inter pares!") for free.

The very first pledge for WAVE 1 Forward Base PLUS and WAVE 1 Power Strain PLUS will receive a special edition set of Corporate Screens entitled "I am the One!" and a free ltd-edition box-set of our Infinity SIlhouette Templates, with a personalised cover.

and so....

We're almost at the 24 hour-to-go time and we're hoping for a little burst at the end now to get the last of the stretch goals released before the end of the KS.

If you have any questions on anything to do with the KS, order priority or dispatch times, items availability and so forth, please ask them here.

Jed said in the comments section that the only thing likely to be delayed if added during the survey would be the vehicles because of the time it took to tool the mould (or something) so if you don't have an extra 68 in your pledge for a hawk you may not get one until late.

I asked Jed about that to be eligible for the draw to have your Superhawk painted by Dwartist the money must be pledged before the KS ends. When I asked how they would know that someone pledged for it in the KS as the funds aren't allocated it's an add on only he said so long as your pledge is £68 or more above the base cost of the pledge level and you pick a Superhawk your name will go in the draw (whether you originally meant the extra money to go to the Superhawk or not as they don't know)

As Slavetodorkness said the Superhawk is a large complicated kit and might delay your order or they might stop people from adding in the PM if they haven't gone at least £68 over their base pledge levle during the KS if they have to limit the numbers they make.

new add on graphics they put the Corporate and blast screens in as eligible for thhe bundle rate as will the bins be when unlocked.

Such a shame this ran at this time of year, hobby budget has been wiped out by an overly generous Christmas till at least February.

Do we have any idea how long after the finish we'll have to add things if I went in for a £1 pledge?

I asked about the PM basically ASAP as they want to get casting.

DaveC: It will open as soon as we can for WAVE 1 - which will be December (hopefully) for return in January. We may split WAVE 2 and WAVE 3 into latter surveys... in which case February and even possibly March. (Plans are a little fluid atm, except that we have to get WAVE 1 survey out ASAP)

Resin only pledges would go out as early as possible as they have plenty of capacity to do these (other than the Suer Hawk as mentioned above)

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Bins are unlocked next:

New Stretch Goal - £83,500.00

£83,500.00 - Signs for Habitat 8 Recreation

A couple of signs to add to the roof (or ground) for 'Habitat 8 - Recreation' and are a taller, vertical format, of the Corporate Signs.

These will be produced in pre-painted MDF.

These will be included for Free with every PLUS pledge and with every Habitat 8 - Recreation (any pledge or add-on) if we pass £83,500.00.

Well, I guess I'm taking the risk of possibly not being able to get the Superhawk since I didn't raise my 1£ pledge. I'm fine with my vehicles running a bit late as long as I can get either the Superhawk or the Samsara. Thanks to Mantic's recent reveal of an Enforcer dropship, I won't be especially broken hearted now if I can't get the Superhawk.

In the end no Superhawk for me you will probably get 3 Enforcer Dropships for the same price I can wait another year, I'll have to think about which 15 scatter packs I want now.

The final stretch goal is unlocked even thought the total is just under.

£86,000.00... Workshop Tools: A set of workshop tools including cutting tools, vehicle (or TAG) lifting system, tool boxes and spare-tyre racks... in resin and metal...

and the £84,500 goal signage for the Recreation (Hab 8) is now included with every PLUS pledge or Hab 8 (pledged or add-on) ...

I ended up with just one of the resin packages - as my hobby budget is getting tight this month. I'll add more in the pledge manager - I only want resin scatter and vehicles.

A bit of good news for others in the US. FRP Games is now stocking Antenociti products. They've got some of their current scatter stuff and their current "Designed for Infinity" vehicles. None of the GOT styled vehicles though :(

A real shame that some of the GoT stuff isn't available at present, their civilian range was probably the best on the market in terms of being suited for Infinity.

Just noticed that Element Games (UK) have started selling Antenociti 'Designed for Infinity' products, looks like they have most in stock and a handy 10% off RRP.

No pics of the miniatures there unfortunately, but this can be easily remedied by looking at the official site.

Is there somewhere in this thread where the missing vehicles from the AW webstore are mentioned? I have need and I thought he had said those were not going to be removed when the GOT figures were.

OK - having issues with the Scatter-Pack system (pick X items from a list of 50 odd packs) .. Backer Kit dont like the way we've done it (we just ask you to list the packs by name in a free-input box) ... but BK cant find an alternative useable (caps) methodology atm... they ARE being helpful, just that their system isnt very well set up to cope with that sort of thing (without us having to do 1400 manual data entries {at least} as there's no bulk-upload or batch-process...)

Its frustrating but, we're getting there.

Also: in Progress News: moved onto the 3D models of the vehicles and other scenery items today and finished the pick&pack system for getting the KS item together and out to you folks... laser cutting continues, as does resin casting and mould-making (increasing production mould numbers).

WAVE 1 PLUS pledgers (only please) can email me their logos and Habitat Colour/Weathering choices now though... (jed@antenocitisworkshop.com - NOTE: title should have "WAVE 1 PLUS pledge Choices" in it.

I can start building our spreadsheet up from those emails - and use the survey to double-check/confirm selections.

WAVE 2 and WAVE 3 PLUS pledgers - there's no hurry so wait for survey please. :-)

Antenocitis saved my wallet and quite a bit of cash inside it. I had just put washing on, went to find my card to pay for a few extras in the survey and realised my wallet was still in my jeans pockets... thankfully caught it in time.

Odin bless my addiction to scenery and resin crack!

All done (number 28 to finish it) with a bit left over to pay for postage once they calculate it.

Per the update (not sure why it's backer only) the earlier you complete it the earlier yours gets sent but that depends if it has something that might take longer so not an absolute guarantee.

Survey Due Dates:

WAVE 1: February 16th
WAVE 2: March 2nd
WAVE 3: April 6th

Can I invite my friends who missed the Kickstarter?

Yes, for WAVE 3 dispatch dates, (which may go out at WAVE 2 dates) and for only certain pledge levels via the £1 Backer option (no PLUS packages sorry). If they want to be included then please get them to message me via Kickstarter or send me an email on jed@antenocitisworkshop.com.
