More of a standard Kickstarter for Tre this time around.
The 'Warband' Pledge - $55
The 'Retainer' Pledge - $25
Also available are the individual characters from the warband at $8 per
Ejryvindr the FarSeeing - $8 Add-on or included in Warband Pledge
Norse Ranger WIP - $8 Add-on or included in Warband Pledge
Jorik of Hallingsgatan - Swordsman Hero WIP - $8 Add-on or included in Warband Pledge
Apprentice WIP - $8 Add-on or included in Warband Pledge
Thief WIP - $8 Add-on or included in Warband Pledge
Other text indicates stretch goals may include
5 semi modular Thugs fitted for universally interchangeable right and left hands and heads, a berserker with two handed axe, a shield maiden, a female ranger, an alternate male ranger, a female wizard and an alternate male wizard"
From the names it seems this is aimed both at his usual target market and the Frostgrave crowd.
Also, it's EU friendly (Posted from inside the EU so no import fees). Fulfilled by Hasslefree Miniatures.
Stretch Goals
UNLOCKED! - Frodulf, Summoner of Beasts and Spirits $8 Add-on
Hopefully if Tre' is able to ship his EU pledges via Arty, he considers doing AU/NZ... maybe most of RoW the same way. Royal Mail is a gakload more reasonably priced than USPS.(Not sure about Canada or Mexico/Central/South America)
And thanks everybody else as well. I am going to be working up soem concept sketches tonight to put up in place of boring old text. That way even if I am unable to complete the sculpts at least there will be some idea of what the final pieces will turn otu like.
Glad to see this turning around again so fast. Backed!
Is there a list somewhere of the exact contents of the Warband pledge? I'm assuming it's the modular warriors plus the various solos, basically everything on offer?
Will individual models be available via HF post campaign? I normally don't like Tre's 'wide stance' sculpts (sorry Tre - the sculpting is great, but the stance turns me off), but that Mage bloke is lovely and likely to be my first RBG figure.
yep they will be available through HF post campaign.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Ok I DID work today...unfortunately I did not finish the apprentice or he theif or the hero. I did however finish an alternate wizard which I may put into the core ste replacing the apprentice with Ejryvindr who is destined for a name change.
Update #1 (First post edited with relvant details)
Spoiler:
FUNDED!!! On to StretchGoal Number one; Master Wizard Frodulf Summoner of Beasts and Spirits
Awesome! We made our funding goal! Many many thanks to everyone for backing once again and helping me to expand my Njorn Range with new Modular troops and characters.
So now on to the Stretch Goals for this campaign. The first Stretch Goal shall be unlocking the master Wizard Frodulf. Older and more learned than Ejryvindr, Frodulf command a spell regimen vast and old, summoner of Beast and Spirit and elemental forces alike Frodulf is a powerful wizard indeed and an inspiring leader as well. Upon reaching $9000.00 Frodulf will be unlocked as an $8 Solo Add-on option. Frodulf is NOT available as part of the Warband Set.
There are still a few details needing fixed. I am not sure about the head. I think it may be a bit too big. Which seems like a difficult fix but it isn;t really. He will have two hand options when finished, a sword or a horn, and his staff will be getting a few bone trinkets and rune stones.
I also have pictures of the Apprentice and Thief WIPs. The Apprentice is a young woman and the Theif is a young boy. Both names are still WIP but the designs are established. I will be showing more finished WIP shots later in the day as progress is made.
Thanks again everybody for pledging once again! and as ALWAYS all feedback is welcome!
What ever happened with the female magic user Tre was talking about offering in resin in the PVC campaign? I want to see that. I probably want to buy it too.
Update #2 (First post edited with relevant details)
Spoiler:
WIP updates of the apprentice and thief
Hey guys, I just wanted to show the progress of the theif and apprentice thus far and see what you guys think of them.
Cheers,
Tre'
Update #3 (First post edited with relevant details)
Spoiler:
WOLVES!!!!
Turns out I have three wolves that I sculpted a long time ago and never released and being that Frodulf is unlocked and his name means " Wise Wolf " it is only fitting that these items be added to the rewards for this campaign to bring them back into production! thes are already molded and ready for production so there is no need for a stretch goal so they are unlocked as an instant Add-on to the campaign.
One set of three Wolves in metal may be added to your pledge for an additional $15.00 during this campaign Post campaign they will be $18.00. Their heads are interchangeable for a little added variety. The wolves are just a little larger than what a normal wolf would be next to a human, so not quite " dire wolves " but not quite normal either.
Sorry it is a really old image.
I also wanted to try to help out a friend who is running a KS for what looks to be a cool twist on Norse Mythology based fantasy. It is called Iron Edda now funding on Kickstarter and is in it's last 24 hours of funding. Have a gander over at:
Will ask in the comments later, but I assume those would be the same wolves we would have received in troll cast? They just never had a retail release?
Grey Wulf....... the one that I had sculpted was originally going to be very much like something that Kev just released so I am going back to the drawing board for it.
Hoepfully she can make an appearance before the campaign closes. I think the modular thugs might be a bit higher on the priority list though.
Automatically Appended Next Post: nope these are different wolves. they were made during the goblins campaign WAY back and just never released.
Can we get a scale shot for the wolves please? Next to a ruler AND a model, ideally!
And seriously, look at HF as a good distribution point for AU/NZ and probably a lot of the rest of the world. Royal Mail is dirt cheap compared to USPS these days.
Backed this at the retainer pledge and will hopefully do a couple add ons. Wish I could do more but my hobby budget is stretched pretty tight at the moment and I still have minis from the last 3 RBG kickstarters to finish painting.
Also wanted to say that as a fan it's great to see Artemis helping Tre with this campaign. I think past Kickstarters have been hurt a bit by the difficulty of trying to run a campaign single handed and I hope that Tre plans on getting a team together to help the SDSP too because it would be great to see that reach the levels of success it deserves.
The add-ons have won me over - backed to get those - they look great and this way I am sure to get them rather than waiting for regular retail and forgetting/ being lazy
I've backed at the $55 level. I am not sure I strictly need these for gaming, but I know I'm going to love painting them, and I'm sure they'll find their way in to Frostgrave or Dragon Rampant once painted.
Since I'm getting Frodulf I decided to go ahead and pledge for Eyrjvindr and the Apprentice. I think these 3 could make a great Magus Conclave for KoW Varangur
Thanks for that, Wehrkind! Would look very nice next to Frodulf, I think
I need to stop watching this campaign as looking at all these beautiful RBG minis I just ended up buying two from the webstore (Magda from Afar and Howling Gorvhogguth, to pair with the ones I'm getting here)
Spoiler:
Also, it actually helped to look at the Hasslefree site a bit here (Artemis' section) even though I'm in the US, since some of the pictures are actually more current (it shows Gorvhogguth's hand on the horn, for instance). Also looks like Hasslefree has or will have very soon almost the whole range, which is awesome!

Tre, is this for a game system where the characters can only carry one type of weapon? I'm looking at a lot of this for roleplaying where characters usually tote around at least a melee and a ranged weapon.. If it's for a system that doesn't allow it, I get it.. but if not maybe it's worth considering at least an add-on of a bow/quiver bundle of backpacks or adventuring packs with crossbows strapped on. I'd buy those by themselves as a matter of fact (especially with Reaper's boneyard being extinct). Anyway, this is shaping up nicely and I will probably end up getting some pieces from this either way but it'd be nice if you can work that in

Ah that's an excellent pic! Are those 25mm bases? The middle guy is just perfect for me if so

I don't believe these miniatures are specifically for any particular game system, and I'm pretty sure that they're not for the SDSNRBG project either!

Yup, all 28mm bases unless otherwise stated. These 3 actually fit just fine. They're bulky, and the champions helmet addition makes him look bigger than he actually is but other than they they don't have any of the wide stance issues that sometimes need fixing. I love the hornblower myself, great figure.

It's gently direct at Frostgrave players, where you can indeed only have the weapons you started with. However it's not specifically for that system, hence the extra choices. And if Tre doesn't make new backpacks/bundles, then we will So someone will sort you out for that

Glad to hear it. The more options the better I tend to provide figures for as many adventurers in campaigns as possible so having something like that to lean on as a resource would be fantastic.
I don't suppose there's any chance this is one of those things that could be chucked in quickly/easily though by some stroke of wild luck?

To the KS? Probably not, there's only a few daysleft and time spent on making things like extra is time not spent making the core figures for stretch goals.
Either Tre or Kev, or both if you're really lucky, will undoubtedly make some backpacks and bundles sometime soon though
backpacks and such would not be too much trouble to make, but I am not sure they will be a priority for this KS. We shall see though once all of the planned goals are met. Which seems very likely based on the funding thus far.
tre manor wrote: backpacks and such would not be too much trouble to make, but I am not sure they will be a priority for this KS. We shall see though once all of the planned goals are met. Which seems very likely based on the funding thus far.
and thanks Arty for the help out!
I completely understand It makes sense.. it is probably why nobody really has any too though. I can see them being one of those things that is doable but never takes priority because it's such a small thing. Hopefully everything funds and you do get time or if not, maybe afterwards
From Tre (I'm not trying to get around the word filter, I'm just trying to convey what Tre said. You get the idea)
Hey everybody! Well Red Gunhiildr is funded and we are well on our way to funding the NEXT stretch goal which shall be Pretty Laerke Arvidsdottir the female ranger. She will unlock as an add- on option when we reach $11,000.00. I will get WIP s**ts of her posted tomorrow by mid day.
(He means to say "WIP shots of her.")
I say this with love, Tre, but sometimes you are the keystone cops of Kickstarter. I half expect you to resculpt all the heads a day before this ends.
Vorian wrote: I have only a very sketchy knowledge about Frostgrave - do thugs have shields? Or does that make the modular guys men-at-arms?
It would make the original modular guys Men At Arms yes, the text mentions modular thugs though so they 'may' make an appearance by the end.
The Modular Men at Arms aren't the most useful for Frostgrave, you could have swap ins in case of magical upgrades I suppose, but it's only nominally aimed that way, there's still a lot of people who just want more Tre Manor norsemen .
(Or you could just tell your opponent the shield is just for show )
Pretty Laerke is FUNDED!!! Now on to the Modular Thugs! $18,000.00 to unlock!
Awesome we have funded Pretty Laerke and I am just about finished with her! Pictured below as a WIP she still has some finishing and perhaps correcting to go but you can see the direction I am taking with her.
Now we are on to the next Stretch goal for the campaign.... The Modular Thugs!
Stretch Goal # 5 MODULAR THUGS $18,000.00
Ready, willing, and able ......mostly.....Thugs are a mainstay of Warbands across the breadth of the Cold North. Fighting men of varying ability and temperament Thugs are often meagerly equipped Bearing clubs, staves, axes, and ( rarely ) swords.
The modular thugs set will feature 5 semi modular thugs fitted for universally interchangeable heads right hands and left hands. The set will include the five bodies one sprue of heads ( 2 hooded, 2 unhooded and one capped ) and a sprue of six right hand weapon options ( 3 clubs, 2 axes, an open hand and a sword ) and as sprue of seven left hand options ( a dagger, a hand axe, a torch, an open hand, a buckler, and a set of javelins. ) The thugs armor will range from hide, cloth, leather, and quilted.
Once funding reaches $ 18,000.00 the Modular Thugs will unlock as a reward selection as a $25.00 add-on per set of five.
The Modular Thugs set is NOT included with Warband Pledge but is available as an $25.00 per set add-on.
I will post WIPS of the thugs and concept art for them tomorrow! We are in the home stretch now and still have the best part of the funding left to go I am sure we can make the thugs happen!
Have updated the OP with newest images. Well within the final 2 days now and looking for that last Stretch Goal of the Thugs (Which I believe may get a WIP today, depending how far Tre gets and how happy he is with them, so roll a dice ).
Looking good. I've updated my pledge to get the two new female adventurers. Tempted by Frodulf but I probably have more than enough wizards for most purposes... he's really nice though!
This project IS EU friendly! All UK and EU rewards packages will be shipped from a fullfillment point in the UK. And I am working on securing an Australian fulfillment point for Australia as well.
Probably not a good idea at this point in time. Australia Post is very expensive and we still have the AU$1k GST-free threshold until June 2017, so there's no extra tax to pay on imports (yet). It would most likely be much cheaper to get Arty to do it, as Royal Mail > AU still seems to be functionally cheaper than AU > AU.
I assume the warband won't be receiving anything else? It's not a bad value I am just not sure I need any of the figures in that particular Warband. Perhaps a bundle of the other set as Warband 2 or something?
LAST 24 HOURS!!!! And Modular Thug WIPs as promised
Well we have begun the final 24 hour countdown and to kick it off properly I have the WIPs of the 5 modular Thugs.
I had wanted to try to get all five completed today ( or the bodies at least ) but just could not quite get the last body finished in time...... I am, sure I will be able to finish it before the clock runs out on the KS though. We are not far off the mark for funding the thugs also! I know we can do it!
remember also these will have an entirely different ( but compatible ) set of heads than the Footmen do, and will also have left hand modular options as well such as open hands, a buckler, a dagger, a hand axe, and a set of javelins!
Once again I want to tahnk everyone for helping me to fund this new round of product. Thank you all SO much!
Final 12hr Stretch, likely no rmore updates, so I'm reposting the OP here for people. (Thanks to the peopleabove for updating while it's sleepy time for me )
Let's get the Thugs funded and put this one to bed!

Stretch Goals
UNLOCKED! - Frodulf, Summoner of Beasts and Spirits $8 Add-on
$17,500.00 is close enough. I think it is wiser at this point to go ahead and put any possible fears aside for the sake of people feeling comfortable adding to their pledge and getting what they want.
So if you want the thugs and have not added for them yet they are officially unlocked as a reward selection. $25.00 add-on per set.
Cheers Yall!
Tre'
p.s. I am working on a couple of items to put in for the final goals but I they are not ready yet. Looks like this will be another nail biting RBG KS finish!
Spoiler:
T-SHIRTS!!
TSHIRTS!!! I had not wanted to add these until pretty much everything else had funded. This time around I am using a different higher quality American MAde T-shirt brand for the shirts. American Apparel. MUCH better fit, they do not seem to have the same shrinkage problems as the Gildan T's from previous campaigns. They are longer cut as well. You can add these to your pledge for $25.00 each.
Available in XS.S.M.L.XL.XXL.XXXL If you do not see your size or fit just PM me and we can work it out.
TL;DR - Thugs are Funded, Tshirts are now available as an add-on and Tre 'may add in a final stretch goal.
Creator tre manor 25 minutes ago
Well I am considering three different things.
Female Mage
Berserker Shaman
Raging Bear
Creator tre manor 25 minutes ago
Maybe i will crack out all three??
Whaaaaaaaaaaat
I'd add on for all 3 of those! I'd particularly like to see the female mage (preferably one that is not too dainty and can hang with the other two wizards from this campaign!). But would also add on for the shaman and bear! Might be good to map out where you're heading by midday so folks know how to adjust their pledges
Final Three Stretch Goals.....Berseker Shaman, his apprentice, and their familiar
Ok I am going to do something really different here. I am first going to make the Berserker Shaman. he will unlock at $19,000, the female mage will be his " apprentice" unlocking at $20,000. So think Warrior Shamans.
And then if things go berserk the Bear will unlock at $22,000.00.
Each Shaman is an $8 add-on and the Bear will be a $15.00 add-on. The Bear will be Resin.
I will get the WIPs posted as soon as possible!
let's see what we can make happen here!
TL;DR 3 New Stretch Goals, Berserker Shaman, Shaman Female Apprentice and a Bear.
Wow - hadn't paid attention to this KS until just now... Really outstanding looking miniatures. Anyone know if I can do the "pledge $1 now, then pay more in the PM" trick with this? As always seems the case for me, funds are tight right as it's wrapping up...
By "pledge manager" I'm guessing it means there might be a way to add to your pledge, not sure if it would be a traditional one like BackerKit though (the fee / percentage is not insignificant).
Love what we got unlocked here! Not sure if the Shaman and apprentice will be as "clothed" as I was expecting for Norse but if they won't fit with my others I'll just select two other models. Definitely picking both wizards and the bear, regardless!
I backed for a solo because I'm not at a point where I'm sure what of this is going to be helpful with the games I've got lined up and all my other models.. I know it's all going to be quality but so much was WiP that it was really hard to gauge what's what..
Sorry this is late. I had wanted to try to make a bit more progress on them before posting But figured waiting two more days ( off tomorrow for Easter ) was not going to be helpful. So here are the current WIP for this Kickstarter.
Jorik is on the far right of the group shot and is pictured as well on his own front and back.... Something is just not sitting well with me on this design. I am not sure what it is though.
The two berserker shamans are not yet clothed because i was considering making two separate versions of the characters. One skyclad version and one Bear cloak version. Either way i am going to be casting them in resin before cloaking them.
The thief is getting two interchangeable hand options. One for a dagger and the second will be a torch.
The Bear still needs his face. That has turned out to be harder to get right than anything else about the sculpt thus far.
And then finally the Archer female needs her hood and hair and quiver and various bits and the Mage apprentice needs her hair and hood as well. I hope you guys like these thus far!
Finished Red Gunhildr, Pretty Laerke, Apprentice, and Bear!
Hey All! Well at last i have finished the Apprentice and Red Gunhildr and the bear. I have decided to make a new version of Jorik and see which one I prefer. As soon as it is at a showable state I will post an update with that figure. For now though the rest of the figures are off to Valiant for moldmaking! Hopefully soon i will have the resin masters for approval and we can really get the show on the road. i am hoping for an end of May delivery date but we shall have to see what comes.
Until then have a gander at these sculpts! I hope you guys like them!

I hope that the original version of Jorik remains available. The new version is still going to be awesome, I know, but I was excited to get the original one to replace Svartulf the Savage as my RBG counts as Conan.
I figured it was worthwhile to pull this thread back up and post the recent update that gives dates for the pledge manager.
Update #21
hey yall just wanted to drop a quick line to let yall know that the Pledge Manager will open this week and will close by friday the 24th of June! I have finished Jorik the Mighty...... I did not like the head I had on him so I changed it and I am VERY happy with the current result! I have only now to finish the heads for the thugs and the hirdmen and all the sculpting will be done and the figures shipped to their respective molding / casting contractors. i expect production to be done within a month so fulfillment will slip into July but hopefully not further than that..
as ever thank you all so much for your patience and support and encouragement!
Just wanted to pass long the news that the recently kickstarted Njorn items are now available for pre order through the Red Box Games store. Estimated to be in stock by the 8th of July!
Please bear in mind that the Thugs are shown as WIPs the left hand sprue is not yet finished. I will be posting the updated pictures of those figures by monday.
Also note please that the Pre orders will be shipped AFTER the Kickstarter orders are shipped. I am taking the pre orders now so that I can put in the order to cover both kickstarter rewards and whatever other orders might come in so that there is not a long delay between shipping the kickstarter rewards and regular orders.
Hey Tre, I just placed an order on your site but realized I wanted to add a model! Sent you a PM, just thought I'd note it here in case you're subscribed to email alerts from the thread . Cheers!
I'm not really sure what the status is on this but I don't want to miss the PM when it's live and cause problems. I just got my Black Plague models though so definitely no shortage of things to paint and fiddle with while I wait
Given the relative simplicity of the rewards I think the Kickstarter survey was fine for this campaign - at least, I didn't feel like I had any issues filling it out for what I wanted
Alpharius wrote: There isn't really going to be a PM - just the survey system through Kickstarter, and that 'launched' quite a few days ago.
If you've any issues, I'd suggest sending Tre a PM through the Kickstarter messaging system and I'm sure he'll sort it out.
The biggest issue is trying to remember if I added funds to this after I got the survey filled out and made a comment indicating that I was unsure. I'll likely pop into Paypal today and have a look to be sure.
