What is your favourite model from 40k? Or what would you like to see? @ 2020/09/21 04:32:28

Post by: Luunar

So, just for a bit of fun, what's everyone's favourite model from 40k? It can be the look of them or just because of their style, whatever floats your boat :p

For me, it'll probably be Yvraine, I just love her style and the model is really really nice. Especially love the train on the dress. My 2nd fav model would probably be the Drukhari Succubus, the pose is so good, really shows the athleticism ♥

In terms of what model I'd love to see, is an actual female Farseer! One of my all time fav characters from DoW2 is Idranel and I'd love to see a model of her, but I think I'll be waiting forever for that xD

Anyways, let me know what is your guys' favourites!

(and feel free to remove this post if this isn't allowed in here, mods)

I have a love/hate with Guilliman. The sword and left pauldron (the name ribbon) were so fun to paint and work with. The gold scrollwork, and the left greave ribbon sucked. Too much too small scroll work, and why didn't they "raised detail" the wording on the boot like they did his name on the pauldron? WTF?

They actually exist, believe it or not, but were test-sculpts done by new sculptors and thus never released sadly:

Ooh I don't actually mind that Guilliman model, I think it's better than the forge world one but I don't really play space marines so I guess I won't have to choose aha

I feel like I can't appreciate those old models as I was never into warhammer (or I was too young then) back then.

I have a love of military vehicles, so mine is actually the Fellblade:

This is a model I'd love to see hit GW's plastic line, as that's probably the only way I'd ever be able to afford one.

Oh I assume it's from forge world?
They look pretty cool! I don't really play space marines or guard but if I did, I might want one of those

Nothing represents the hosts of regular humans rebelling as good as that squad.

Oh geez, I have to pick only one favorite??? I don't know where to begin. I don't know if I even can.

So here's a dozen favorites!
(in no particular order)
*GSC Kelermorph
*The classic box dreadnoughts, particularly the metal ones.
*Farseer - there's an ages old RT era one in robes, pointing, wearing that lumpy organic bug-eyed style helmet. (I'll see if I can find a pic)
*RT/2e era Leman Russ with his two wolves - not the most fantastic model ever, just a favorite. And the only 40k scale Primarch model made until Gman arrived.
*Death Korps of Krieg - all of them.
*Ripper Swarms - both normal & winged from FW.
*The new Zoat from BSF
*Goff Rokkas
*The Thunderbolt fighter from FW.
*Classic metal Fire Dragons & thier Phoenix Lord.
*Vypers
*Land Raiders - particularly the MKI/RT era one.

What would I like to see....
*A full range of squats done in modern plastic.
*Leman Russ & his wolves. Or at least 40k rules for him.
*a beetle carapice version of Reiver & Warlord titans drawn from the original Adeptus Titanicus art.

BIG agreement on this. I love my Fellblade, it's hands down my favorite model. I just wish gw loved it as well.

For my second pick I'd have to say the Night Lords legion Contemptor. No dreadnought is more tailor made for its legion. The thing SCREAMS Eighth Legion.

For what I'd like to see? An actual Chosen kit, in Heresy pattern armour, with conversion kits for all the legions. For what the Night Lords conversion should look like, check out my avatar.

Honourable mention to the Hellblade. I think the only reason gw doesn't do these in plastic is because they'd never sell a Hellturkey again. And Dreadclaws, a perfect example of how to "chaosify" a vehicle without slapping spikes all over it.

My favorite 40k model is probably Cawl. A current close 2nd goes to the Onager Dunecrawler.

There just something so utterly grimdark about the AdMech line that I love. Here's hoping they let us take some FW relic units someday. What I wouldn't give to run some of those tanks/automata in 40k.

Staying out of Lords of War, probably the Basilisk. Self propelled guns, standing by!
After that, the Exorcist, and after that, the Vindicator.

I would like to see the return of the Medusa Siege Gun non-armageddon pattern

There are so many Lord of War options.
The Shadowsword/Baneblade are awesome and are in fact the model that I first saw and was like "I want that."
The Marcharius is awesome looking, particularly the Vanquisher one.
I also like the Ordinatus Ulator.

As for what I'd like to see in the Lord of War realm, I don't know. More tanks, less robots.

I would also like to see FW stop making models that are the same datasheet as 17 other models they make except with legion specific flair and go back to making cool new stuff and options in general. So much cool stuff has disappeared [kill tanks, elysians, renegades, hammerhead gun turrets, repressors, and so on], and in it's place we have more products under "Contemptor Dreadnought" than any Xenos faction has things period.

DE Mandrakes remain one of my favourite units, in spite of their sculpts being quite old by this point.

I'd very much like to see a Mandrake HQ of some sort, especially since nothing else in the codex has any interaction with Mandrakes at the moment.

Obligatory pictures of my own Mandrake HQ conversions, for the benefit of the 3 people on dakkadakka who haven't yet seen them:

Spoiler:

Scourges are another favourite of mine. IMO they remain the best winged model kits GW have ever done. In addition to being very nice models in and of themselves, they also make for fantastic conversion-pieces.

While pretty old now, I have a fondness for the Necron Lord models. I like the minimalist aesthetic, with the lords having little to differentiate them from the rank&file beyond a mark on their foreheads and their ancient, tattered robes. To me, that was far more effective than the Overlords with their bead-curtain capes, ridiculous headgear, and overly-elaborate trappings.

Favorite models:
Old Typhus
Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun
I think the Big Mek is one of my main reasons to start Orks. And even a friend of mine who hates Orks had to admit that this guy is absolutely badass.
And Typhus is still in despair that GW replaced him with an abomination...But I'm happy I got the old one in metal.

I remember, many years ago, seeing some great Ork conversions on the GW website - including some fantastic Bik Mek models.

I'd never had much interest in Orks up until then, but seeing those armies really made me want to actually start an army.

Unfortunately, those articles were among the many casualties of GW's transition from website to webstore.

Some of my favourites manage to hit both sides of the classic/modern line. That is - they're old units that have had a modern refresh, that still manage to hark back to the nostalgia.

The new Keeper of Secrets was mentioned, with a more obvious bull-head than the last rendition - never did like that thing.
The 'special-edition' Noise Marine was very clearly a love letter to Citadel history, right down to the studio giving it the classic "PATTERNS EVERYWHERE" paintjob again.
But my favourite of this "in with the old, in with the new" approach? Mephiston. Yeah, he's Primaris - but the way he looks so much like his classic artwork, and keeps his unique armour, you'd never know it.

...yes, of course I gave mine the licked-hand pose. Anyone opting for the plasma pistol is either too young to know better, or is just plain wrong.

As for what I'd like to see? Top of the tree would be a new Dante and/or Emperor's Champion - but I recognise that's a little selfish considering it'd be yet another Marine release, I can wait a while longer.
Next stop - updated Warp Spiders. The concept is just *so* cool, and to this day they're still pretty much a unique unit with a unique style of war and appearance. I can't believe out of all the Aspects they haven't had a single update since 2nd ed!!

So many favourites...

Forgeworld Avatar of Khaine
Spoiler:
Mine:

Scorpion Type II Super Heavy Grav Tank
Spoiler:
Mine:

Pretty much all of the Eldar Warlocks (total design classics that defy their age, and I hope they don't change the design if and when we get a plastic kit)
Spoiler:
(some of) mine:

Chaplain in Terminator Armour (the one that's currently available in finecast)
The Triumph of St. Katherine
Exorcist
Stormblade (That art of one on the very first Imperial Armour really stuck with me, and I always thought it was a shame that the plastic Baneblade kit can't build one)
Macharius Vulcan
Malcador Infernus
Minotaur Artillery Tank (so many of these Forgeworld Guard vehicles are just gloriously mad, and they're one of my main motivators to starting a guard army at some point)
Cerastus Knight Castigator (that bolt cannon with the huge ammo belt...)
And I can't not say the Warlord Titan.

(Wow there's a lot of Forgeworld in that list)

As for what I'd like to see, you can probably gather from the start of that list that I'm a Craftworlds collector, so I'd like to see the Craftworlds line get some attention - first priority to bring out updated plastic kits for our finecast, I don't think the line really needs brand new units but I'm sure they'd end up adding some if Eldar get a big overhaul. I'm not opposed to that, so long as they fit nicely into the aesthetic and don't contradict too much of the existing lore. I'd also like to see more attention paid to Forgeworld's 40k lines. It seems to me that they've been left to dwindle somewhat recently, like GW doesn't really want Forgeworld bringing out new 40k models but doesn't quite want to pull the plug on the ones that they currently sell either. Well, not all at once, we've already lost a multitude of things that have just vanished, probably when the moulds wore out and they decided against replacing them.

Really great idea for a thread.

Well, where to begin...

My favourite model now probably has to be the contemptor galatus dreadnought from forgeworld.

Other sculpts I really love:
-the old emperors champion. Still one of the best sculpts GW has done in my opinion, even though it's really old now
-the new keeper of secrets
-new ghazghkull is absolutely stunning
-venatari custodes with saggitarum heads
-the swarmlord, still an awsome sculpt

What I'd like to see....well, definitely new plastic aspect warriors and phoenix lords, also plastic mandrakes. A plastic hetaeron guard would be nice, but will probably never happen.

I'll confess, I do really like the Wraithlord model, but I wouldn't put it in my top 10 or anything. But... the simple fact that it has a big blank canvas as its face means it's the basis for some of the most amazingly creative paintjobs I've ever seen.

Tiberias wrote:

I have to ask... please tell me you mean this one:

Yeah I meant the first one. I actually think the sculpt holds up quite well, except the scaling of course. The emperors champion is just sooo tiny now in comparison.

DKoK Grenadiers

After that? Probably the 3E Grey Knight Terminators.

In the current range? Keeping it limited?

I'm still pretty partial to the Terminator Chaplain. That thing just...fething oozes 40k. The Custodes Jetbikes are pretty rad. DE Scourges are sweet. I still like Tyranid Warriors

It's a really tough call for me, but I'd say it's a tie between the Emperor's Champion, which is a sculpt that still really holds up to this day, and the Kommando Nob in the current resin kit.

When I first replied to you it was more to show the female Farseers that we never got - the road not taken by GW, as it were - but also because, thinking about it, I honestly couldn't tell you what my fav GW mini is.

But I've been thinking about it since you posted this, and trying to come up with an answer. Immediately my mind went to Age of Sigmar/Warhammer Fantasy, specifically because I don't play it, so if I've bought any AoS/WFB minis not for a specific reason then it must be something I really like. I have also not included terrain, as I'd never be able to choose.

I mean, I think this is the best Stormcast mini GW makes. But I've never bought it. I think this mini is amazing, but again, never bought it. The only AoS mini I've bought because I just had to have it, rather than for any specific reason or purpose, were the Myrmourn Banshees. They're still in the box. So, none of those really qualify.

So I thought back to when I started - before I started playing actually - and really there was one mini across all of time that I think I love more than any other. It's not the best mini, and it's not even one they sell anymore.

It's the humble Genestealer:

Everything about that miniature captures the young mind, spinning off an endless amount of stories and scenarios. Even when all the other Tyranid units with silly names (Hunter-Slayer, Screamer Killer, Squigs (yes, they were 'Nids once upon a time)) mostly went away, we kept "Genestealer". It's very silly, but just look at the old mini. So much potential in there.

And special mention to the Scorpion, because that is just such an amazing looking vehicle.

My favorites are tied among the Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage, the Venomcrawler, and the Maulerfiend. The first just looks glorious and radiates single-minded power; no fancy ranged weapons here, just one big axe. The arachnid horror of the Venomcrawler I think really sums up what Chaos is capable of while the Maulerfiend looks like, as put in the TS codex, some prehistoric apex predator, but bound in hellforged technology.

Berzerkers need new models as their current ones are beyond out of the date. Also, regular possessed need a new kit as the current ones look goofy, not scary.

Let's keep it simple, and go with a pair of Commissars - one that is still in production, and one that isn't.

For the one that is, I think this Commissar with Power Fist is spot on:
Spoiler:

The other - and apologies for the paint job - would be the Commissar with Bolt Pistol:
Spoiler:

They both speak to the core of the role, but in different ways - the first in motivating the men he serves with to advance, the second in executing those who flee...

That's the thing.

Outside of deep nostalgia, the cold hard truths is that all these old sculpts are really unrefined and vastly inferior to anything that's made today.

Now, of course, some newer models may just be "dumb" or "ugly", but they're all examples of infinitely better craftsmanship, as the expectations have risen a lot in the last decades.

For example, the maskless farseer has such a terrible head shape, and the other one looks like it's got weaponized tit armor and hotdog fingers.
At least, it's got an acceptable pose, whereas the other is just ... wtf why would you do that. Fairly sure she's trying to look us in the eye and say, watch as I kill this pidgeon without looking. witness my powaaaa. It's because of my huge gigantic forehead. all power to meee

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I think my favorite has to be the Eldar Vampire Hunter. Other that I really love all my FW Eldar.

You... you do know what a trainee sculpt is, right? As both of those are them. Trainee sculpts are done to see if a sculptor can match the company's style and are never intended to go into production.

Because to be honest, most of the "vintage sculpts" are similar in terms of ... "quality".

Oh, please tell me it was Diaz.

Regardless, I think it's fair to say that those sculpts - far from being terrible - are pretty good for being representative of their time, and the tools and technology available.

Correct. They are trainee sculpts by Juan Diaz. Juan Diaz, such a terrible sculptor that should never be let near a pack of green stuff. Amirite?

Here's those same sculpts unpainted. The paint job does them no favours as that face is actually pretty damned good.

Speaking of the Master, my tied two favorites are both his works.

Spoiler:

I had more time, I'd start a BT army just for him.

And the old daemonettes, ah, the old dameonettes...

The various Empire heroes, especially the generals, were also gorgeous and would make great PC minis for a RPG. I hate myself not to buy them when it was possible...

What I'd like is simply a new Imperial Guard infantry box, but in the old boxes way with torsos, legs, arms and head separated. With as many options as the cool ork boyz box.

Mm! I bought the box set, but if I'm honest, I'll be using Yvraine like 100% of the time hahaha. He is a really cool model though!

Heck, just because you love the model doesn't mean you even have to field it! I've never played Fantasy/AoS at all ever, but I've got a few models I wanted to get just for the joy of painting them.
Lady Olynder or Brokk Grungsson, for example. I'm sure I'll eventually cave and get the new Eltharion, too.

Some most excellent models in recent years and not sure which one to pick above all others...

The Chaos Sorceror in Terminator armour. Not only does he look like the ultimate baddass but the kit is fantastic value and a modeller's dream. Quite frankly, it puts the rest of GW's range of models to shame.

A few runners up. The whole Harlequin range, which is something because I dismissed them at first but they grew on me. Absolutely love the AT Porphyrion and really want to get another box but the rules don't support it. The new Keeper of Secrets is friggin amazing and feeling down that there isn't another, smaller model in the Slannesh range that captures it's majestic look. Shout out to Jain Zar for being a great centerpiece model for smaller Craftworld armies...

This list will drag on so I'll leave it there!

Cerastus Knights. I wasn't really sold on the concept of Knights initially, and the squat T-Rex-arms proportions on the Questoris chassis didn't help, but the Cerastus chassis is fantastically vicious-looking.

Runner-ups are pretty much any jetbike, Contemptor Dreadnaughts, and the entire 30k Mechanicum range.

Spoiler:

My favorite 40k model is the Primaris Reiver. The spoiler is a picture of the 23 I have in my collection. I like Reivers because they encapsulate 40k in a single model. Basically endearingly awesome stupid. They are awesome with their power armor and 1990 Image comics tactical pouches with crazy powerful weapons. Yet they have a spooky skull mask capable of frightening daemons back into the warp. It's that way over-the-top, don't think about it too much action movie logic.

See for me, my favourite 40k model (certainly as a concept) is Terminators. Which might be why I have converted up 30 of the buggers for my DG army. Just like what you said WRT Reivers, they encapsulate 40k for me, a relentless bulwark of armour striding across the battlefield. Something about them just screams "Warhammer 40k", even moreso that power armour does for me.
I am strangely drawn to them, probably due to the fact it was one of the first blisters I laid my eyes on when going into a GW for the first time. 12yo Grimtuff spots a "Chaos Space Marine Terminator with Heavy Flamer" and something in that word salad spoke to him. Not in the 40k contexts, but I knew what a Terminator was, I knew what a Space Marine was, I knew what flamethrowers were. Put them all together and it looks cool in your head.

I went with the 40k starter paint set in the end, but I still got my Terminator. Got the metal Termi sergeant mini instead to go with the rest of my loyalists.

My favorite is a long list and mostly older ones. Typically from around 2nd-3rd ed.

The humble Vindicare. Sure the pose is a tad goofy with pistol and rifle but it has clean lines, the model is pretty WYSIWYG with its rules/gear.

Closely following is the humble Marine Scout. The Sniper Scout and the Heavy Bolter guy are neat as heck.

My next one is the humble Warp Spiders. They looked the part.

I completely understand. Before I had any Reivers, Terminators were my favorite 40k model so the same reason. I still have more Terminators than I do Reivers with 20 Chaos Terminators, 10 from Space Hulk, 5 Cataphractii terminators, 5 Blightlord Terminators and 5 Scarab Occult Terminators. And I still want to get some Grey Knight Paladins and more Chaos Terminators at some point to finish up my terminator collection. The biggest regret I have starting a Primaris only chapter is that I can't have Terminators. Gravis armor is okay, but it isn't the same no matter what new weapons they get or how close their loadouts get to terminators.

I sorely regret that GW didn't go down the chaos terminator/sorcerer lord route with HQ's. It's everything you can want! Beautiful model in its own right, makes two HQ types, has alternate heads, several weapon options, compatible parts with other terminators, it's poseable (admittedly only slightly, but it's a terminator). Why, oh why, do we have the awful CSM HQ's we do now. I detest most of them, and they're none of the above. Single pose, ugly rubbish

Sister superior Amalia novena.

A beautiful sculpt, a fond reimagining of one of the most classically 40k pieces of art ever. A joy to paint.

The harp lady for slaanesh is just beautiful (disgusting? Amazing? It defines excessive, and that makes it beautiful)

Yvraine. Her model is so beautifully elegant and so very aeldari. For a small model she commands the presence of a primarch.

Magnus the red. His sheer size focuses the whole board he is on onto him.

I ould could go on...

Give us angryon though GW. Please?

Exactly. The more you look at it, the better it gets.

So much intricately morbid/beautiful/indescribably excessive detail. So so slaaneshi

Hoo boy, I've got a lot of favorites! Here's some of them in no particular order:
-All of the plastic Greater Daemons. I started Khorne Daemonkin back in 7th edition mostly because of the new plastic Bloodthirster; it made such an impression on me that I just had to have one! GW really knocked it out of the park on the redesigns on all four of the Greater Daemons, but the 'Thirster is still my favorite of them. I have since parted with my Chaos collection, but I have fond memories of painting that big angry guy. Here's a photo of him if you're curious:
Spoiler:

-Mortarion, Daemon Primarch of the Death Guard. Yet another huge win by GW. All the little disgusting details you'd expect to find on a Nurgle-aligned model are there, from the rotted flesh and armor to little Nurglings frolicking around. I painted this guy as well, and to this day it's probably the most fun I've ever had working on a model.
Spoiler:

-Magnus the Red. The only one of the plastic Primarchs I haven't painted, I had plans to pick him up before I decided to sell all my Chaos stuff. He's just such a cool model with all kinds of little details (and horn nipples, let's not forget those...).
-That new Silent King model for the Necrons that's about to be released (goes on preorder next weekend if I'm not mistaken). Really I could probably lump all the new Necron stuff in here, as they've really made them look awesome (I'm particularly fond of the Skorpekh Destroyers and Lord).
-The Primaris Captain from the Indomitus box (and the Elite and Command Edition starters). Honestly this model fits the Warhammer setting perfectly, with that skeleton attached to the captain's shield. I'll be doing one of this model for both my Dark Angels and my Space Wolves.
-The new Abaddon the Despoiler. An amazing way to bring the Warmaster of Chaos to the new editions of the game. It's a great model and really cool that he's kind of a dark mirror of the new Guilliman model.
-Celestine, the Living Saint. They kept the basic spirit of the original metal model and updated it, and it is totally amazing! I'll also shout out for the whole new Plastic Sisters line; so many players had waited for years to get Sisters in plastic, and when GW finally delivered they did an absolutely amazing job! I've had a blast painting them so far and look forward to eventually putting a whole army of them on the tabletop.
Spoiler:

-All the new Ork buggies. Every single one of these things are so cool! If I was going to play Orks, I would absolutely get a bunch of these as the core of the army. The Mad Max vibes are strong, and the names of the vehicles are perhaps the best part (seriously, how can you not smile when you say "Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy"?!).
Honestly I could go on and on, there are just so many great models coming out lately! GW's been doing well as far as creating cool models, and not just for 40k; Age of Sigmar and Middle-earth are getting some pretty awesome stuff lately as well. It's been a great time to be a Warhammer player, that's for sure!

I'm loving almost anything Legion-Specific that FW have put out for the 30K... up to the point that I will proxies 40k units with their 30k almost-equivalent whenever possible.
For example, I'm planning to take the DA Cenobite squad for a count as Deathwing Knight).

As general 40K lines go, however, I'm not interest in any new kit for my Dark Angel, Imperial Knight or Alpha Legion. First, I'm not on Primaris train: more than 70% of my army is finally painted after many years, there are not chance I start collecting Marine again.

Second: I find third party models extremely more appealing (for example I have a Scibor count-as-Contemptor Dreadnought that I feel is better than the original: this one... but in general I feel that their SF Lion Warrior are better Dark Angel than the real Dark Angel).

That said, what I'd like for my different armies in future may be:

- Dark Angel - nothing: with the 30k range I feel I have more than enough to complete my army. Finally I've even got a Primarch!

- Imperial Knight - some specific infantry for a techno-barbarian or medieval world. I'm planning to purchase some historical Perry Miniatures regiment (War of Roses or Napoleonic) to convert what I need. But any historically-inspired Guards Regiments (Napoleonic War, British Empire, WWI) will make me happy. I couldn't care less for Armiger and the like (I already have 4 Quaestori and a Cerastus fully converted, posed, moveable and with led kit. It's my showcase army, so I don't need any Armiger for the sparse game I play with them).

- Alpha Legion - I'm converting a "not so fully chaotic" version of an AL army using a lot of loyalist (30k) elements, the Black Ops team from Anvil Miniatures (here... again, a better AL than the real AL); a heavily converted Hades Drill (I'm planning to use it as a count-as-Kharabridis) and Cawl as Hellwright on Dark Abeyant. Anyting Dark-Mechanicus related, however, it's something I can think about.

Generally speaking, I feel that mainstream 40K GW models lost a lot of appeal towards me.
Whatever I'm thinking about model-wise or conversion-wise, I inevitably find out something better than the official GW minis to represent or convert it.

I think they really need to step up their game and have to stop to conflate the bling or extreme levitating poses of a model with its intrinsic attractiveness. I honestly forgot when was my last proper "40K" purchase aside from the 8th codexes.

So many to choose from.

I think my personal favorites that I've painted in recent memory are the Sanguinary Guard.

Spoiler:

Beyond that, I have a particular soft spot for the newer Lemartes, Guardian of the Lost sculpt.

Spoiler:

Though the old version, a.k.a. Chaplain Wind Tunnel, was probably the doofiest looking model I've ever seen.

Of course I love the old sculpt of Dante and hope he gets a new model one day. Similar to Mephiston's new r-sculpt, which looks amazing I'll add. Though painting him up was a challenge for sure.

Those are mine. Take it easy.

Flash gitz are awesome models, and I love their lore. There's a cool story to be made with a bunch of shoota boyz becoming flash gitz pirates roaming the stars looking for fights. Orks truly are the winners of 40k, whatever happens in the narrative

I'd like to add the new flesh hounds and Karanak to my favourite models, plastic flesh hounds were a long time coming but absolutely didn't disappoint. They might be mono-pose but being dogs I think they kind of have to be

One word. Chapterhouse. That's why.

As HBMC says "Regardless of who won that case, there would only be one loser. Us, the customer."

I can see why GW are reluctant to have units without models because of third party producers, but I can't see why it would stop them doing kits like the chaos terminator lord.

Not only are they great models, they're excellently designed models. The way each gun is basically a skeleton, and you can put three parts onto it from a whole host of random Orky gubbinz. You could build 30 of them with little to no repeats in their set up. Such a clever design.

Then GW released 6 Ork Buggies that have zero options, cannot be built differently ever, and will always be the same. And people still wonder why I keep bringing that up.

Because a kit like the Chaos Lord, or the Space Marine Captain, have options. And we can't have options now can we. That might encourage those dastardly third parties even though to use the parts from those thieving third parties people still have to buy GW minis...

I think the greater daemons are the best models GW makes, straight up. And my favourite of the four is the Lord of Change.

Yeah, I don't think many people would agree that a zero option/monopose kit is the ideal option. Indeed in a bunch of cases it's the ability to repose/kitbash/convert models that pushes GW's products forward. Really hope the next batch of kits Orks get give more options for fun posing and weapon swaps.

I don't see myself ever making one, but if I ever did end up doing chaos, I'd definitely get a big nurgle guy or one of the bloodthirsters, they're pretty imposing!
