Can we let Hlaine mulligan this? I was not informed of this plan, and there's only a slight chance I can work this to our advantage. If not, Pontius' wrath will be terrible.
The night sky swirled with a thick wind that tore up leaves and debris scattering across the interstate just west of the small town of Hucsknee, three hundred and fifty miles northwest of Empire City. A lone street lamp near Braid's Shop and Fuel Stop spluttered for life as the wind dangled the powerlines that connected the out of town Garage to the local grid.
Elward Braid walked out and looked up at the light, his slightly balding hairline the only sign of his advancing years, for a man in his late Sixties you'd have guessed he was a lot younger. Wiping the grease from his hands, he noted the clock in the shop said it was 2am and ruefully felt that he should have gone to bed hours ago. Of course Mrs Johnsons carburetor wasn't going to fix itself and he didn't have the luxury of sleep over money these days.
He sighed to himself and turned back toward the open doorway where her Dodge Durango sat on the hydraulic ramp she be arriving to pick it up just after nine.
As he walked back he heard the approaching sound of motorcycle engines, from the noise he'd guess Evo's and a couple of Twin Cams. Walking up to the door he paused before going in and glanced up the road, sure enough six bikes appeared around the corner of the road from the east. The road winding out of the forest that stretched out for a good eight miles in that direction. Turning to face the approaching riders, arms folded he watched as they drove up towards his garage, and tried to make out any markings on them.
As they turned in the bikes pulled up alongside his two petrol pumps and the tallest of the group, a man easily six foot nine in height, stepped off his softtail classic and walked towards Braid, his thick leathers creaking with the wind.
"Long trip?" asked Elward with a half yawn.
The tall biker looked up from under a mop of dark brown hair, a scar ran down his left cheek, and his pale skin, seemed too pale in the artificial lights of the garage. Elward glanced down and noted a symbol of a snake wrapped around the world, with 'los reyes de serpiente' circled around it.
"Too long" he growled. "How far to Empire from here?"
"The city, um, three Hundred and fifty miles, well abouts, will take a good few hours, might get there just after dawn if you pushed it."
"Dawn, huh." spat the biker and stepped into the shop.
Elward watched the biker head over to the mags, returning his gaze to the bikes he couldn't help but be drawn to the beautiful woman sitting on a Nightster. She seemed totally out of place for the group, where as they seemed to have spent months of the road, she was clean, and beautiful. Her long black hair across her face, her ruby sunglasses framing her olive skin.
She noticed his gaze and carefully pulled herself up off the bike and walked towards him, a slight smile on her lip as she crossed the distance between them, his mind foggy all of a sudden.
"Saw something you like?" she purred at him as she walked past, dragging a finger under his chin as she walked behind him into the garage.
He sniffed the air and glanced back at her. Oh Gak was the only thing that crossed his mind as she walked up to the Durango. Pale skin, he'd been asleep at the wheel, he was too tired for his own good, outnumbered six to one. He flexed his palms as he stepped towards her sliding the door behind him, he had to act quickly, lower the odds.
"Mmmm, want it to be private hun?" she whispered still looking at the car.
Elward let the beast come, he'd lived all these years watching the roads, keeping Hucsknee free of their kind, but here they where, after years of not seeing them. He'd almost forgotten, his bones cracked and his skin darkened as the thick black fur sprouted and forced his clothes to split and fall to the floor. In mere moments he had grown to seven and a half feet in height and stepped towards her.
"Not here, not ever!" he growled.
She glanced back as he lunged at her, her boots kicked up the steel of the car ramp and she flipped over the back of the werewolf as it crashed into the support. Elward swung back at her but she caught his wrist, spinning the lower arm three sixty in a sharp drag that snapped the elbow joint.
He roared in pain, and pulled the arm back yanking her up and over him. His eyes followed her as she span in the air and slid over the bonnet of the SUV above them, and then came back under swinging both feet at him and connecting under the jaw.
He staggered back, trying to swing out with his good arm, but she dodged under it, shadows formed around her left fist and she punched a shadow dagger through his kidney and into the spine with a crack. Falling to one knee he smashed at the support of the ramp and rolled as the SUV fell down behind him with an almighty crash.
Turning he could feel his enhanced healing all ready knitting his wounds together, as he pulled himself up onto his feet he saw the wrecked car and winced, Mrs Johnson was going to be upset. He realised his mistake as soon as he felt the spine snap, as he fell forward the female Vampire pulled the shadows out of the grevious wound on his back and stamped her foot down on his throat shattering the neck.
He gurgled as his wounds tried to heal, and stared up at her as he eyes darkened.
"Typical son of adam, thinking he can take what he wants without question" she spat.
"Who are you?" Elward gasped.
She smiled at him, her fangs showing clearly.
"Mother" she whispered as the shadows above them descended onto his broken frame.
Victoria Stepped out of the garage and wiped the blood from her mouth, Lupines had a strange taste to their blood, but fortuntely for her where as refreshing as Vampires for her needs. She turned to see the approaching form of Sergio. The large Vampire was holding what looked like the contents of the cash register, plus a bottle of whiskey. The thought of the pain he would put himself through just to enjoy the drink amused her and she looked up at him as he stared down at her.
"todo hecho?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Sí, ahora a la Empire City.' she replied with a slight smile as she took a final glance at the body in the garage.
"Good, I want some action." he muttered as they walked towards the bikes.

....I'm going to have to think on this...I'm not crazy about what happened to poor Pinky...( Nor that not a single Hunter even made an attempt to save him after all he's done)...however..perhaps in his wretched state...his appearance alone will be the catalyst to save his City.
First...if Edward was a Werewolf...he'd have smelled the Vampires the moment they arrived at the station.
Second...Though the story is interesting...I am becoming concerned with these " Vampire Armies " That are massing...
Pontius "Fallen" and your Vampire bikers ,while both interesting elements in the narative, are going to be closely watched...they already exceed the number of alotted NPCs and won't be allowed to be utilized to "unbalance" the game ( Not that I'm accusing you or Mordo of trying to do that.)
Hlaine Larkin mk2 wrote:I can edit the letter if possible?
I suppose I can allow that...
But to be perfectly honest...the entire "dumping Pinky at the cop shop" plan seems a bit odd to me...As I said...I can't see where it would benifit the Vamps to do this...Blaming Hunters...I would just see it as generating sympathy for their cause.
Intimidation...perhaps...but it also let's the cat out of the bag to the public at large...something the vamps wouldn't want...

Sorry about letting Pinky becoming a vamp and letting him die. I couldn't figure out a way to fit the hunters wanting to find him into the current events(ambush and then killing Danny) although I now have the ability to work it in he's basically dead unless the whole thing is changed.
EDIT: I think I know how I'm going to play this, I'll pm Fitzz the details about the whole thing.
As it stands Pinky is at police station...Hunters have been accused of causing his condition (?)...
Police officers divided and unsure what to think (Most have no idea that Hunters/Vamps..etc even existed)...
Nash still controlled by Pontius...(though organizeing the chaos at the station will be a huge undertaking...even if Nash can get things under control..he'll never sway all the police to "get the Hunters")...
Seems everyone forgot Pinky turned on his GPS...everyplace he was can now be tracked...
Andy walked out of the house and saw Vegas sitting in the field, staring at the sky. Andy shook his head and jogged up to her.
"You need to come inside, I have something I want to show you and everyone else here." Andy said as he stopped and offered his hand to help her up.
Vegas looked blankly at his hand before nodding and slowly getting up on her own. Andy patted her on the back and led her back into the farm house. Once they were inside he sat her on the couch in the front room and went back into the office where Miranda was looking through the computer.
"I need to see the dagger." Andy said as he went to the metal box to open it up, "You can keep facebooking or whatever you're doing on that thing.". Andy took the dagger and walked back to Vegas and presented it to her handle first, the light from the ceiling glinted off of the blade. "This dagger was made specifically to kill vampires over a thousand years ago by ancient hunters in Egypt. I don't know if this decision is bad or good right now, but I want you to have it for when we face the vampires again."
Vegas stared at the blade before reaching slowly for it and taking it in her hand.
"Get everyone in here, I have a little presentation to make." Andy shouted to a tech who proceeded to gather everyone into the front room of the house.
.................
Andy looked over the crowd in front of him; the new arrivals, Vegas, the techs, and the mechanics were all standing and facing Andy. The TV behind him was muted as he folded his hands behind his back and began his speech.
"Okay ladies and gentlemen," Andy took his time to look at each person assembled in front of him, "my name is Andy as you all may know and I am now in charge thanks to the fact that Danny turned out to be working for Pontius. It is not believed that he had the chance to compromise our position so this will remain our base of operations. As we all know the full moon is approaching and that means the wolves will out in force soon. Unfortunately we don't have the time nor resources to eliminate both the wolves and vamps in that time."
Andy paced a little and unfolded his hands to use them for emphasis, "What we can do though is make sure the wolves find the vamps during the full moon. We have the ability to hit the vamps where it hurts, their wallets. Without any cash they can't hire any human workers, this way we can reduce the amount of humans in the vampire dens around the city. We also have this." Andy pulled a vial of red liquid out of his coat pocket, "This is vampire blood procured from the vampire known as Hawthorne some time back. I originally had other plans for it, but events prevented its use. I don't know how many people are familiar with the story of the origins of Passover, but we'll take a lesson from it. In the story they used lamb's blood to mark their doors so that the spirits would pass over their houses and claim the first born of every egyptian child. We'll use this blood and mark the entrance of several businesses and most importantly Pontius's lair."
Andy smiled as he was about to announce that Danny had been doing some research on Pontius when one of the techs pointed to the TV, "What's so important that you have to...interrupt me..." Andy's voice trailed off as he saw his picture on the television, "Turn it up, turn it up!".
................
Andy was busy calling Pinkerton's number, getting the voicemail everytime.
"No way this can be happening." Andy said as he paced in front of Vegas and Miranda, "We have to do something about this."
"Who's this Pinkerton you've been calling?" Miranda asked.
"He's a detective," Andy began, "he found out about the werewolves and vampires and has been helping us. The vamps... they're trying to get me in trouble. The ambush set up by Danny was to kill me, not all of us, just me." Andy was still shocked about the events that had just transpired. The two girls looked at each other when Andy snapped his fingers, "We can use this." he started, "We can use this to our advantage, we just have to find out what happened to Pinkerton. If he's alive he can tell them that I didn't do anything. We have to go to the station and find out."
Miranda stood up, "That's all good that you want to get something cleared up, but you're wanted by the police. What makes you think that you can just walk into the station and talk to them?"
"We have connections there so we can find out where Pinkerton is first and what kind of condition he's in." Andy pulled out his phone and looked for any connection that may work for the station before realizing something. "If the police want me and Pinkerton is missing, he's either dead or at the hospital, we have connections in the hospitals."
With that Andy began calling the local hospitals to get in touch with his contacts to find out about Pinkerton.
Nash paced back and forth in front of the room, his features a mask of unease. When he spoke, his voice was tinged with emotion. "Robert Pinkerton was a great man, a loving husband and a church going man. He watched over us in our sleep, keeping us safe from criminals that will now walk unafraid with his passing. Make no mistake, Robert Pinkerton was murdered in cold blood, by fanatics living in some kind of dreamworld. The least we can do is bring his killers to justice. This 'Holy Order' is nothing but a murder cult, killing the disabled and disfigured, for fear they might be 'Vampires' or 'werewolves'. Such an organization cannot be permitted to exist within our fair city. As of now, I am issuing a state-wide manhunt for Andy Bluss. I want him alive people, make Robert proud."
Loginous yelped as Oliver's ornate cane struck him yet again in the face, dropping the Gladiator to the ground as the Englishman rained down blow after blow upon the prostrate vampire. "You acted without Pontius' permission! You have threatened to expose us to the world! How long has it taken us to fade? Centuries to become a children's story wasted by your foolishness! Only the manipulations of our master can prevent our exposure! We may have to flee if our ruse fails! Flee! We are Vampyre! We do not flee!" Kicking the roman savagely in the ribs, Oliver smashed Longinous' face with his cane, sending a gout of blood into the air. "Pray your failure was not as grave as I suspect..."
EDIT:..As far as I could determine...Pinkerton was dumped "still alive" at police headquarters...a note accusing the Hunters of his condition attached to him...in plain sight of multiple cops.
I'm going on the assumption that Pontius is attempting a "cover up/damage control",however....we need to know what actually became of Pinkerton...he didn't just vanish..and they're would have been far to many cops around for him to be "covertly removed from sight."...Need some blanks filled in here folks.
Andy's phone call had been successful, Pinkerton was in Empire City Memorial Hospital recovering. The contact had told him that his eyes had crosses on them, his vocal chords were shot to hell, and he had burns all over his back. Unfortunately he also had police officers watching his room and after having a nervous aid check, Andy found out that Pinkerton had fangs. Pinkerton was a vampire, he would have to be dealt with, they wouldn't like it but from the sounds of it they would be doing Pinkerton a favor.
As Andy hung up the phone he looked at the two in the room with him, "Pinkerton's a vampire. They used him to try to frame me and the network, they said that werewolves did this."
Andy sat down and weighed his options. "I'll take you and Vegas along. We'll also throw the sword in the truck just in case we have to prove anything to them.".
"You want to bring some hunters to the hospital to try to prove something to the officers who are going to be trying to arrest you?" Miranda asked, "And you're also planning on letting them in on the existence of vampires as well?"
"Yes," Andy stood up to get the sword from the office, "unfortunately we have to let the cat out of the bag in order to get the officers on our side. Once we get to the hospital I want you two to talk to the officers before I do. If they see me they might get violent or something."
"We should hurry then," Miranda said, also getting up from her seat, "never know how his condition will change.".
With that Andy, Miranda, and Vegas began their drive into the city. Andy sat in the back of the van with the sword so he couldn't be seen. He jumped into the air as the van hit some bumps and cursed his luck.
..............
The group entered the hospital, they procured some scrubs from the hunter's hospital contact and began to make their way to Pinkerton's room. The two officers outside of the door were sitting down as Miranda approached them.
"Officers," Miranda said politely, "I have something I need to show you." She had them walk inside the room with her. Andy and Vegas walked up to the now unguarded door and waited.
"Your friend is not a human anymore." Miranda said as he stood near the head of Pinkerton's bed.
"What are you talking about" one of the officers said uneasy.
"Officer, Fuller," Miranda read the officer's name badge, "look in his mouth."
The officer shook his head, "Why? You're just some crazy woman telling me this man is not a man."
"Look in his mouth and you'll see." Miranda insisted.
"Fine," Officer Fuller threw his arms up into the air in surrender, "I'll look in his mouth just to make you happy."
As Miranda revealed Pinkerton's gum line, Fuller could see the freakishly enlarged canines in his mouth. He gasped as he stepped backwards, "Th-th-that's not normal!"
"What are you talking about..." Officer Grange's voice trailed as the man saw Pinkerton's teeth.
"He's a vampire." Miranda wiped her hands on the scrubs, "We're with the hunter network."
"What do you mean we?" Officer Fuller asked nervously as he looked around the room, noticing Andy an Vegas standing in the doorway, "You're Andy! You did this!" Fuller yelled as he began to draw his weapon.
"Whoah, whoah, whoah!" Andy put his hands behind his head, "I did no such thing. He was attacked by vampires, the things we try to kill. The vampires in the city are trying to frame me for this."
"Moaning came from Pinkerton and caught the attention of the officers.
"Get him a pen and paper." Andy said hurriedly, "Ask him if I did it, and he should be able to write it down."
Officer Grange grabbed a notepad from the table and a pen from the chart on his bed. He put the pen in Pinkerton's hand and watched as Pinkerton grabbed the pen eagerly, Grange grabbed Pinkerton's hand and guided it to the notepad. "Here sir, write something."
"Didn't...do...it." Officer Grange read from what Pinkerton had scribbled. "Andy Bruss didn't do this?"
"Yes", Pinkerton scribbled out, "Andy didn't do it Vampire did it."
"Are you sure sir." Grange asked.
"I'm handcuffed and can't do anything to you Pinkerton." Andy lied.
"He DIDN'T do it." Pinkerton wrote out angrily
The officers looked in disbelief at the thing that used to be the man named Pinkerton.
"He's a vampire?" Grange and Fuller asked almost simultaneously.
"Yes, we can prove it to if you want us to." Miranda said and motioned for Vegas to grab the sword from the van, "We have a sword in our van that causes discomfort to vampires and only vampires. Sorry Mr.Pinkerton, but this will hurt a bit."
Pinkerton scribbled, "You don't know pain." the notepad was almost full, Officer Fuller took the pad and changed the page to a clean piece.
Minutes later Pinkerton began to squirm as Vegas entered the room holding a large plastic tube that contained the Sword of Ra. Pinkerton's heartbeat shot up and he cringed, moaning in pain as he rattled the bed. Andy nodded and Vegas left the room, allowing Pinkerton to relax a bit. His breathing was heavy and bullets of sweat poured from his brow. Andy walked over to Pinkerton's bed and asked the most important question at the moment, "Pinkerton, do you want to live?".
Pinkerton shook his head and tears began to come from his eyes.
"Pinkerton, I want you to know that there's no painless way to kill a vampire, it will hurt but we can make it as fast as possible. Unfortunately we want to prove to your officers that vampires exist. If one of you officers would take out a phone and record this." Andy said as he wheeled the bed closer to the windows and the officers pulled out their phones, "Record now."
Andy pulled the shades from the window and let the sunlight hit Pinkerton. The man shook as he began to turn into dust and before long he was just a stain on the bed's sheets. The heartbeat monitor cried out to alert the nurses as Miranda pulled the plug from the machine. The officers' jaws were wide open and Officer Fuller seemed to be crying a bit.
"Now that you've seen this we need you two to take us to the station to spread the news." Andy said to the officers, "You two now know about us, werewolves, and vampires and need to let the others know as well. You need to help us clear the network's name and you need to help us save this city."
...........
As the van followed the two police cruisers to the station Andy changed into his normal clothes in the back of the van. He would try to convince them to help, not to join and fight, but to help preserve the innocent.
Lukos sat at a large table,Amanda and her "Pups" joining him...a dark smile crept across his handsome face..
" So...you belive you can take on Pontius with this band of curs?" Lukos said gesturing at the seated young wolves..." Amanda...through out the centuries you never cease to ammuse me.."
" At least I am making the effort to stand Lukos.." Amanda spat..." What are you doing..?...Hiding like a frightened mongrel..?where is Lukos the Devil...the terror of yore?"
" Don't trifle with me she wolf.." Lukos grinned, baring his fangs..." Or you may find yourself in the same condition as your beloved Musatei.."
Amanda said nothing...merely glaring at Lukos...
" Very well.." Lukos nodded." I to wish to see an end of Pontius...and his entire order...but...we must use our cunning here Amanda...for more so than our physical power...our cunning will be what turns the tide in our favor.."
" So you've said..." Amanda barked..." Please...elaborate...what is your oh so cunning plan..?"
Lukos smiled..." Simple Amanda...before a pack attacks...it stalks...it finds it's preys weakness...then exploits it....we shall do the same.."
Amanda nodded.." And the others..?...the Big wolf and the blue haired female...?"
Lukos offered a small knowing smile...." The Blood Moon approaches...They will find us..."
It was about 6:00am when he was dropped off at the sewer and maybe around 7:00am when the police discovered him on the steps. If Pinkerton was loaded into a transport they tend to block the windows so that people outside don't look in. Most hospitals also have an awning over the ER entrance and if the ambulance parked underneath it when they ran Pinkerton in he would've avoided sunlight all together.
Pontius is in control of Nash, but perhaps he let it go so that they wouldn't think he had any connections to it. If somebody said, 'Don't take him to a hospital' when the man was indeed in very poor shape it would look suspicious. If Pinkerton burnt up en route then Nash wouldn't look like he was connected.

Good points Nachos...
Though I still belive Pontius (as Nash) would have attempted to prevent Pinkerton slipping from his " sphere of control".... ...at the very least he'd have seen to it Pinkerton was well Guarded by forces "loyal" to him..
He wouldn't be able to have loyal people there though. There may be people loyal to Nash, but if they saw that Pinkerton wasn't human I think they would be swayed.

Also true....
GAh, I'm trying to figure out how best to tie up the whole "Pinkerton situation" so we can all move forward with the story....Once again my obbsesion with "Realism" is getting in the way...O may have to chuck realism in favor of "Beliveability"...

I agree with you on the consistency thing. Perhaps the designation of Dawn and Dusk and limit on powers is in order?
I should indeed be asleep...but unfortunately NyQuil doesn't seem to have the same effect on me that it does on 99% of the world...it just makes me lose my ability to focus...of course,I did spend a large portion of my youth building up a tolerance to ....everything (Not an endorsement for iresposibility here...stay in school kids... ).
I'm going to officially call the Pinkerton situation "done"....Andy and the others went to the Hospital and the events you RPed transpired (Nash/Pontious had no choice in the matter as to many cops saw Pinkerton when he was dropped at the station...to intervien on Pinky being sent for "Medical atention" would have tipped his hand)...
...Nash/Pontius is now attempting Damage control ...trying to cover up what happened as best he can...
....Most of the force is confused about what they saw...some will follow Nash/Pontius orders...others will be aproachable by the Hunters....

Orks, well I play IG, I hate Orks.
Death Guard has long been a favorite army for me...going way back to 3rd ed...with my love of zombies that surely can't surprise you,I'm hopping they actualy can be " Death Guard " again when a new CSM codex is released.

Andy is a hunter and knows the signs of vampirism. Andy asked the contact to look over Pinkerton to see if he had become anything. The contact was told to look in his mouth and the contact found fangs in Pinkerton's mouth. Because he isn't really furry and chewing on a bone it was safe for Andy to assume that Pinkerton had become a vampire. The sword proved it to be true and so on.
The officers now have video of Pinkerton turning to ashes because sunlight was allowed to be cast upon him.
Pinkerton couldn't talk or see, but he could write. I personally tried this out and even though it was sloppy and crooked I could very well write out words.
Soon you may be having to avoid Pontius as well as the hunters. *insert evil laugh here*

But without knowing what you're looking for the fangs shouldn't get too much notice ...... i hope
I would think that Hunters would be able to identify a vampire on sight....
And pointing out the fangs to others would surely clue them into the fact that something was wrong...
....All this aside,Dumping Pinkerton at the Police station was probably a bad idea, though I get the motivation behind the action...it was ill concieved,I'm doing my best to attempt to intergrate it into the story line and move forward....

What's funny is that I also did a "test run" to see if I were capable of writing various lines you had Pinkerton write with my eyes closed.
In every case, though the writing was slanted...it was perfectly legiable.

It was only for a second, but Holly noticed the same smell she had been aware of the night before; Cheap Perfume, the very same. Of course, it could be complete coincidence, but Holly still was put on edge. Her gaze fell upon a small convoy of vehicles driving through the streets, and slowing down at the change of a traffic light. Fate had it that the cars stopped just feet from where Holly now stood; two cruisers and a Van. A van that the perfume seemed to be permeating from…
Holly just stood and stared.
Oh snap! Silly, Ghosty is calling your character a cheap floosey, you just going to take that?
BIC:
The convoy had momentarily stopped at a traffic light, it had been the thrid one so far and it was really getting on Andy's nerves. He wanted this done quickly which is why he hadn't taken the time to change in the hospital and opted for changing in the van. The decision had been mostly okay, he only hit his head on the floor of the van once while getting his pants on. It seems that the lead officer had far enough of this waiting as well and he turned his sirens on. The second cruiser turned his lights on and waved for the van to get in front. Soon the convoy was on its way slowly, but surely to the station where the officers would share the video and Andy would be cleared. As the convoy pulled away Vegas spotted a woman with blue hair staring at the van blankly. The image was a bit disturbing, but luckily the sirens were enough to keep her from thinking too much.
.....
As the convoy approached the station the officers turned off their sirens and pulled into the garage along with the van. Officer Fuller stepped out of his vehicle and approached the van.
"I'm going to go in and spread the video and the news around." he said, obviously worried about the reaction the whole station would have to seeing the one man they all wanted dead, "I'll call Grange when you guys can come in." With that Officer Fuller stepped inside the station and began to show the others the video. Soon enough a crowd had gathered around him and he began to tell them about what had happened in the hospital. Their shock at watching the good detective just shrivel up and turn to ashes made them open to the suggestion that Andy wasn't the real killer. In fact it opened their minds to a whole lot of things like getting their families out of the city or holing up away from the monsters.
"There are some hunters in a van outside." Fuller told them all, "They want us to help them with this thing, and if it means killing whatever did this to Pinky I'm all up for it!" he said aloud as if he was giving a pep talk to a football team. The crowd murmured unassuredly about helping kill these things that once were figments of the imagination, "Listen to me!" Fuller shouted to get their attention, "They have these weapons that make vampires and stuff shake in their boots, literally. One of them just held it near Pinkerton and he couldn't stand it so we know it works."
"Who's we?" an officer asked.
"Grange and I, we saw him do it." Fuller responded. The officer's faces began to light up as if they had heard about a real life superman.
"Can we see it?" another asked.
"I'm sure they'll let us see it and ask questions." Fuller replied happily, "They seem like alright guys to me, and they want to protect this city as much as we do.". Fuller called Grange on the phone and told him to let the hunters come in, but most importantly he wanted them to bring the sword in because the rest of the officers wanted to see it. Grange looked at Miranda in the driver's seat, "The guys want to see y'all, and bring that sword with you. They really want to see that.". Miranda nodded and Andy opened the back of the van to get out, he had sheathed the sword in some old leather he had found in the farm house. He didn't have a belt attachment for it yet, but he was going to work on that. The trio of hunters entered the station and the crowd of officers went silent. They had expected muscular men or something from one of the blade movies, but they saw only two young women and a young man with a ballcap.
"These are the hunters?" one of the officers whispered to another.
"Hello everyone." Andy took the silence as an oportune time to start talking, "We're with the hunter network. From your reaction I guess that we're not what you expected to see, but I assure you that we have indeed slayed vampires and werewolves alike. Since I've been in the city I have been personally responsible for the death of two vampires and one werewolf. My younger friend here has killed a vampire and a werewolf, and this other hunter has just arrived with some new weapons for us to fight them." Andy lifted the sword into the air.
The officers began to focus on the sword, it had to be special looking. As Andy unsheathed it, it looked like it was made out of silver or something. "This sword is over a thousand years old," Andy began, "it was forged in ancient Egypt by hunters there. It makes vampires cringe and goes through them like a knife through butter. My friend has a dagger that does the same kind of damage to vampires and I currently hold another dagger made especially to kill werewolves. There is another weapon we seek in the city, but we need your cooperation to get it."
As Andy kept talking, Nash began to get a serious headache.

...Indeed..
Ok bit of a heads up....it's my intentions to have to RP reach it's "exciting climax" on the night of the full moon (Game time)...or the "Blood Moon" as Lukos calls it...this means that for the most part we have two more days..(Game wise) until most PCs/NPCs will be facing "End Game"....
...Well...they don't behave like the characters in the old American International movies....but...they all ride Harleys, Hold patches, and in general, fit the "Biker motif"...they all also have quite a few "rug rats" rushing about their homes.
.......But...now I'm derailing my own RP... ....Bikers not withstanding...Let's get back to the business of killing each others characters.
Andy hopped on a Harley and began to ride around the city. Several women holding kids ran up to him screaming "You're the father!" at him.
Andy stopped his harley and looked at the women and the kids. "They're not my kids." Andy said while putting on a pair of sunglasses.
"Yes they are!" several of them shouted.
"NO! I'm a biker and bikers can't have kids, everyone knows that!" Andy replied as he revved the engine. He instantly sprouted a leather jacket from his back and watched as the real fathers of the children arrived to announce their fathership of the children. The families were reunited as Andy's Harley shot flames from the back and rocketed into the sky where he saw Jesus riding a Harley with a raptor Jesus painted on the side. Jesus gave Andy a thumbs up as the sun glinted off of his sunglasses and the two rode into the sun to meet up with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny for the most kick ass party in the sun ever.

The body of Nash slumped over in his chair, the blood drained from his face, a faint mist leaking into the vents from his mouth, too dispersed to be noticed by the men in the room. Nash awoke with a start, looking around the room rather confused, blinking his eyes as if awaking from a deep sleep. He couldn't remember his name, or where he was, or who he was, his memories sucked away by the Mist, his mind a blank slate.
"We must fade, become naught but shadows in the night. Showing ourselves only when we are forgotten, when the Cattle have forgotten how to fight us." Those words formed the basis of Vampyre society, ensuring their dominion over the Humanii for all eternity. Now, a single foolish Childe threatened to expose them for all the world to see. They could not let that happen. Shoving the door open, Oliver and the two Opriknikki strode into the room, anger etched on their pale faces. Oliver carried a golden kris, it's edge glowing with faint light, in his right hand, his sword was clenched in his grip. The huge Russians carried massive iron sabers, brandishing them with cruel eagerness. The Gladiator rose to his feet. "What is the meaning of this?" he asked, his voice full of anger. "Longinous, the Gladiator, your life is mine..."
Sky looked at the officers surrounding Andy and worshipping the sword. Why did guys always wanted the big toys? She swirrled her blade on the top of her finger, like a basketball player. Not that she liked basket, but she could do it. The new arrival stood behind Andy carefully listening what happend. She was some sort of higher hunter in the network, was she one of the leaders? This was something that intrigued her, the illusive leaders. Who were they........what were there purposes? She didn't know, she could only hope for the best. Vegas looked at the crow still babbling on with Andy, this could take a while. She passed the crowd and started looking for the coffee machine. After asking the way at a new recruit she stood next to the coffee machine. She slurped the delicious beverage and gazed outside. A lot of civilians were walking around, blisfully unaware of the danger. She suddenly came aware of a young woman staring at her from across the road. Her hair spickled with blue, the girl crept in her mind and remembered her of Holly. Too bad she was missing for over a decade now. She tried to think how life would be if she never left. She tried as hard as she could, but no visions erupted. Vegas threw the cup in the bin and returned to Andy's admirers. She didn't noticed the blue haired girl still starring at the window.

...As the large mans head rolled on his neck, his eyes attempting to focus ,several officers rushed to his aid..." Agent Nash...are you ok.." A pudgy officer shouted trying to support the huge mans head.
Nash simply stared blankly around the room..
Miranda leaned close to Andy whispering.." His mind is gone...a symptom of being held by Pontius...I've seen this before...in Mexico...and in Russia...in time...he may...regain his capacity...but for now..." She shook her head.
Andy nodded..." This is a real gak storm...if Pontius was inside Nash...he knows everything Nash knew...Access to every FBI and Police file on this case...he'll know patrol areas..manpower...addresses...names...everything."
Miranda paused..." Then..plans must change...I have an idea...but I must contact Katz..." she said..
" What can I do...?" Andy asked...
" Find whoever you can trust in this department...and tell them to prepare to make a statement to the media..." She said..
" What...what kind of statement..?" Andy said
" You'll know what to tell them...when the time comes....in the meantime....try to use what information we have to disable Pontius funds.."with that Miranda ran from the station...leaving a puzzeled Andy behind.
After a quick call to Katz,Miranda Cortez drove to section of old warehouses near Empire Cities wharfs ...mostly deserted and seldom used...they would serve her porpuses nicely...
The woman moved quickly...placing explosive charges into several of the crumbleing buildings....when she was finished..she climbed back into her vehicle and sent a message to Andy....as she drove back towards the Police station...she triggered a remote detonator..behind her...a city block erupted into a fireball.
"Terrorist alert activated by Katz and network over news channel. Suggest you do the same with the officers." the message in Andy's phone rang. Andy had remained in the station, waiting for the message from Miranda and waiting for Vegas to return from her coffee run. He immediately got up and looked for the officer in charge after whatever vampiric spirit had taken over Nash's body. He found a rotund officer by the name of Beardsly sitting in a chair looking over dispatches.
"Officer?" Andy asked as the man looked at Andy tiredlly, "I need you to do something for me."
"What is it, we're kind of busy with these explosions." Beardsley responded.
"About those," Andy said slowly, "we blew up some derelict buildings the vamps have been using for cover. We need you to put out a curfew for us because of these buildings."
"You just blow up buildings if you think vampires use them?" Beardsley asked.
"Yes, its day time out and if we force them out they turn to ashes in the light." Andy replied, "But back to the curfew. Our network is going to have the news broadcast a terror alert for the city, we need you to put a dusk to dawn curfew out. This way the vamps and wolves will have to work extra hard to find something to eat. We also need these places blocked off." Andy put the list of locations in front of the large officer.
Beardsley looked over the list and his eyes widened, "Why do we need all of these locations blocked off?"
"They're all owned by a single vampire who runs the city." Andy patted the officer on the back, "Don't worry though, we have a plan to set the two sides against each other. Speaking of that we need your help with the museum, we need to go in their and take something from it. It was an old weapon used by the hunters, think you could help us with that?"
"I could try." Beardsley responded.
"We also need this stuff done by the end of the day." Andy began to walk back to the lobby to wait for Vegas.
.........We interupt our normal programing to bring you this special emergency alert ....We now go live to Empire City Police Station....
" Good Morning...this is Robin Myers reporting live for Action 5 News....I'm here on the steps of Empire City's Police Station for an Important anouncement from acting Chief of Police Munroe concerning an explosion that rocked the downtown area at aproximently 8:30 AM...Our Home offices have reported a possiable terrorist conection and...wait...here's Chief Munroe..I'm going to try to get a bit closer...."
" Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen...Due to the Nature of the situation...I intend to be brief...and will not be answering questions...I ask you all to please respect the fact that we are dealing with an ongoing situation in which public safety is our primary concern.
As of 8:30 this morning...our department, along with various federal agencies have become aware of possiable terrorist activities with in Empire City, most notable the detonation of an explosive device or devices of an as of yet undertimened nature in our Downtown district.
As you are also aware there has been a number of as of yet unsolved homicides, including an attack on this very station that we feel may be conected to possiable terrorist cell operations....therefor ...in the interest of public safety...I am issuing a city wide Dusk til Dawn curfew and asking that all citizens remain indoors after 6:00 PM ...we ask for the publics cooperation in abiding by the curfew and giving our department the ability to opperate in hopes of bringing this person or persons to justice in a timely fasion...
Once again....we urge all citizens to remain indoors after nightfall unless absolutely nessecary...We urge the public to remain calm and to rest assured that this situation will be handled in the most expediant manor...
Thank you again....No...no questions."
Suzie looked nervously around the room, Longinus had gone for a long time.
Where could he be Isaac? I don not know misteress, all I know is that the Prince was not that happy with the master after the incident with that Policeman.
well I feel that this city is more dangeorus than ever, although we know this city for our whole lives the second world underneath is brewing, the hunters are gathering as are the werewolves. It is a very dangerous time to be a vampire here. Although the Prince has ruled for centuries I feel -as does the master- he is becoming senile and the current situations have only arisen because of his incompatence. We have both seen the terrible foes we face i feel we must live with most haste.
As you wish misteress, how should we leave the city?
Hmm... I've just always wanted to own a harley, besides I feel you deserve the reward, you've served Longinus longer than I yet he gifted me, you haven't ran away and now in his abscence he can't control us now, most likely he has been killed by the Prince's minions.
of course missteress, I now a place where we can aquire the bikes.

...Oliver and the two Opriknikki strode into the room, anger etched on their pale faces. The huge Russians carried massive iron sabers, brandishing them with cruel eagerness. The Gladiator rose to his feet. "What is the meaning of this?" he asked, his voice full of anger. "Longinous, the Gladiator, your life is mine..."
Longinous quickly accessed the situation ...outnumbered and cornered,he rapidly deduced retreat was his only option...The Gladiator stepped back quickly and began to transform into a red mist...his body becoming vapor and lifting from the stone floor...
Suddenly a force...like being slammed with a huge hammer drove Longinous to the ground...his body reforming,he glanced up in shock and the grinning Oliver...
" There is no escape for you Gladiator.." Oliver taunted, brandishing the glowing Blade of Ages..." No escape save your end..."
Longinous rose to his feet.his eyes fixing on Oliver...and the blade held in his hand...it had some how prevented his tranformation..." Very well .." Longinous roared .." Come for me then!!!"
Oliver threw back his head and laughed as the Opriknikki charged in...
Savage in their attacks...the Opriknikkis sabers flashed through the air...intent on beheading Longinous...but countless years in the Arena had honed the Vampires skills,he dodged the giants attacks and leapt for Oliver grasping the stunned Vampire by the throat..." Today I enter Hell..." Longinous spat in to Olivers face..." But you...you shall accompany me!!"..
Oliver struggled viciously to break the Gladiators grip, slashing at his attacker with the blessed blade ...Oliver opened a pouring gash in Longinuos face...slicing an eye in two...
" I don't need to see you to kill you!!" Longinous laughed a high crazy laugh as he ripped into Olivers throat even deeper...feeling the Vampire assiasians blood gush over his hands....
The Opriknikk ,hearing Olivers wail of pain rushed to defend him...hacking at Longinius with their cruel sword...splitting his back open in a fountian of blood...
Longinous knew his end had come...after centuries of life...he would fall...but not before he saw Oliver die....with all his streagth ...the Gladiator drove his fangs deep into Olivers throat...even as Oliver Himself plunged the glowing blade into the heart of Longinous...
With a gasp Longinous collapsed to his knees...his streagth rushing from him...he glared at the form of Oliver as it pitched forward and crashed to the stone floor it's lifes blood rushing from the gapping wound that had nearly severed it's head..
Longinous raised his arms....he'd fought enough battles in the Arena to know what was coming...he spared the twitching body of Oliver one final glance...spitting on it's dying face before the blades of the Oprikinikki swung through the air and Longinous the Gladiator was no more...
Andy watched the news as the report of the terror attack played with captions on the screen. Part of the plan had been enacted and he was one step closer to ridding Empire City of vampires and werewolves, but most importantly he would be that much closer to destroying that damned wolf who had killed Kara and he would make sure that he suffered for what he had done. He had made a voiced promise to Danny the traitor but he had made the overall promise to himself, it seemed selfish in retrospect but he was still going to make sure Ryan paid for wounding Kara.
Then there was Colt, control of his body had been stolen by a vampire right before his death and Vegas had been wounded. Andy wasn't sure if he had killed the vampire that had violated the sanctity of Colt's mind, but he was sure he at least made him suffer a bit by killing his potential lover. Then there was Nash, his mind blanked by another vampire. How many people had been corrupted that way he wondered. His talisman protected him from it, but he couldn't provide talismans for every officer, or hunter for that fact. He then remembered that Vegas had gone for coffee, Andy pulled out his phone and dialed her number. After several rings she picked up...
"Vegas, this is Andy." Andy said over the phone.
"I know," Vegas replied with a bit of sarcasm in her voice, "what do you want."
"Large Hazelnut with cream and sugar." Andy gave Vegas his order.
"What?" Vegas asked, her voice a little bit higher pitched.
"Sorry, I thought you were asking what I wanted from the coffee shop." Andy apologized, "Would you mind picking up something for me?"
"Fine." Vegas shook her head.
"Alright," Andy shuffled in his seat a little, "can you get me a large hazelnut coffee with cream and sugar."
"Okay." Vegas hung up before Andy could even respond.
He looked at an officer walking in the lobby and made the "what's up" gesture with his head. The officer seemed to ignore him as he continued to walk by. Andy returned his viewing to the TV.
Miranda Cortez had arrived back at the Police station ...she sat quietly in her vehicle for a few moments...a silent prayer forming on her lips, she knew full well what the coming full moon would bring to this city...she'd seen it before...as a child in Mexico when a pack of wolves had decimated her town...killing thousands and cursing hundreds with the hunger of the beast...
The Holy Order had purged her town...dozens of her people had been purified by the blade and by the silver bullet...and she had become a ward of the Order...the only life she now knew...
But " Ay Dios!!...this city...it is so much larger than the village..." Miranda thought..." There are Millions here....and so many places for the wolves to hunt when the Blood Moon rises..."
She placed her head on the steering wheel ..." And Pontius...he has called the Unholy to him...the Fallen..." a tear slipped from Miranda's eye...despite all their efforts...she felt this city was damned.
" A war...an unholy war will rage here..." She thought..." God help us...for we are all that may prevent the deaths of countless inocents..."
She wiped angrily at the tears and climbed out of her SUV....she was a Hunter of the Holy Order...she may die in her attempts to rid this city of it's foul night creatures....but with God's help...she would die fighting.
slamming her vehicle door...she walked towards the station searching for Bruss...there was much that must be done...and time was short...the Blood Moon would be upon them soon.

edit= My bad...........i thought you wrote something else
Lukos and Amanda had relocated the pack from the derilict shack in the country to Amanda's home located on the outskirts of Empire City ,tucked away in an affluient neighborhood nestled close to a nearby woods...
Lukos had been reluctnt to move at first...but as Amanda explained that they were safer in her gated and monitered home than in Lukos "cabin" he gave in...after all...he knew there was streagth in numbers...and his own senses would alert him to any Hunter or Vampire who came with in a hundred yards or him...if Amanda and her "pups' felt safer in a familar lair...so be it...Lukos was unconcerned with these trivialities..
Upon their arival ,Lukos had charged Old Murry with the task of aquiring some basic essentials ....he thrust a wad of cash at the old Hippy and sent him on his way...ordered to return with enough meat to see the pack through the night...
The Blood Moon would rise on the morrow...and the frenzy that would take them must be held off for as long as posiable...
Old Murry had inquired of Lukos on where he was to obtain this "food"...Lukos simply smiled at the Hippy..." Surely you have procured the services of ...working girls before...my soiled and simple friend...you will take one of Amanda's cars...pick several up...inviting them to a party...you've plenty of cash to lure them here."
Carlos laughed overhearing the conversation..." I love having my meals delivered.." the big man laughed.
Lukos glared at the young wolf..." Your commentary has not been asked for cur...go find something to ammuse yourself with."
Carlos sulked away as Lukos finished his orders...." You will also go to this address...inform the one you will find there that Lukos requires their presence...give them the address here.."
Murry nodded and left quickly...." Shame " Lukos thought to himself " So loyal...I shall be saddened to have to eat him..."
Amanda approached Lukos..." What of the unknown wolf..?...the woman with him?"
Lukos rolled his eyes..." They've become an obsession with you it seems..." he paused..." Very well...take the two females with you...drive to the city and ...release your scents...as he appears to have gone feral from the clip you showed me...this will call him to us...his female will follow...probably.."
Amanda smiled...
Lukos frowned at her..." Don't be foolish enough to lead him to your door Amanda...." Lukos cautioned her..." Leave a trail to your neighborhoods gates...I will sense him and the female if they approach..."
Amanda nodded.." I'm no fool Lukos....you should be aware of that by now.." she turned and left as Lukos stared at her..." I'm sure of nothing Amanda.." he whispered to himself.
Quick note...the "scent" Amanda and the other female wolves are releasing is a "mating" call...Holy will be able to smell it as will Ryan...
Vampires will only be able to "sense" a wolf...but will not be able to track the scent...nor will HUnters.
Scarlett walked cautiously through the shadows of some ancient ruins, wearing only a black nightdress she stared at great pillars of sandstone stretching up toward the dark sky. As she gasped at the carvings of Beasts fighting Vampires, she could see the blood red moon held the sky deep in its embrace. Thick grey glouds swirled in the storm, the red echo of the moon drenching them like blood, and somewhere in the distance she could hear laughing.
The laugh that had taunted her for decades, the laugh of Victoria standing over her beloved, blood dripping down her maw as she ended the life of Olivia. She clenched her fists and looked out towards the looming dunes around the ruin. the howling wind scattering the sands in all directions, scorching the stone as it came closer. Turning her head back Scarlett could see three raised steps leading onto a higher platform, for some reason it reminded her of the Parthenon, even though she knew this was false.
Walking forward she could see an aura of light near the centre, as the winds of the storm reached her she raised her arm to protect her eyes from the lashing winds, taking the steps slowly as she forced her way forwards and reached the edge of a line of pillars around the platform. The light was bright at its heart, burying her doubts she strode forward through the pillars that stretched high above her. One of her bare feet caught on a shard of rock as she stepped forward, but she ignored it and the trail of blood it now left in her wake. She continued onwards, her hand reaching out towards a sphere of light, something clearly lay within, it looked like a person.
As she looked deeper into the light, the form of Olivia looked back at her, the scar on her neck of razor fangs tearing flesh like a knife from Scarlett's own memory, Olivia's auburn hair was soft, flowing in a mild breeze that seemed to only exist in the sphere. Slowly she looked up to Scarlett, her eyes closed. Scarlett reached out, her hand touching the sphere, but she screamed as it burned her palm, triying to pull back her limb, but it wouldn't move, her hand ignited into flame and she screamed in fear. Olivia's eyes snapped open to reveal solid black orbs and she opened her mouth to reveal the tongue of a serpent, it lashed licking the air.
"She comes, comes from the darkness" Olviia hissed in a voice that ws not her own. It echoed in Scarlett's mind like a thumping headache, trying to probe, find a way into her brain.
Scarlett screaming tried to pull back but the flames reached her torso and she found her eyes locked with the dark orbs of olivia, trapped in a spiders web, she was drawn into those black depths like the abyss, there was no escape.
"Mother comes to end the children of adam, to bring Chaos to the lands, she has waited for too long, blood must flow, and none shall raise at the dawn of that nights passing."
"That makes no sense!" hissed Scarlett as the fire reached her chest, she tried to focus against the paint, her blackened flesh taught and broken.
"You are the one she needs Elizabeth, you carry the mark of Sutekh, with you she breaks her curse and returns to her true strength. She must not drink you.. must not."
The flames rolled over Scarlett's face and she felt the scream echo from her lips as the rays of fire consumed her.
Scarlett sat up with a gasp of horror, she felt sick to her stomach, blood weaping from her eyes and mouth, as she staggered from her bed and grasped onto the wall for some kind of stability. Her head was racing, her mind tryng to focus through the day walk, she never experienced it, but that pain, that fire, it was the only thing she could equate to what happened when a Vampire felt the kiss of the sun. As her mind cleared a little she stared at the deep shadow before her eyes, she was going mad, dreaming about Olivia, she hadn't done that since, she paused.
"I need to get hold of Longinous"
She'd tried to contact him twice earlier the past evening, but it was not easy tracking the older Vampire down, she had remembered he had some knowledge about the older gods of the southern lands. Perhaps if he could answer her questions she would have a direction to head, a place to go.
She heard the double beep of her phone, someone had texted her. Forcing herself up off the wall she walked over and picked up the phone flicked on the receive message button. She laughed, not a amusing laugh, but a mournful, bitter laugh. She closed her eyes and then threw the phone across the room before collpasing back onto the bed, fate was against her she was certain.
She lay there her eyes closed trying to find sleep, trying to consider a way out of the storm that reached for her. Beside the bed, the phone lay on the floor, its front plate cracked from the force of the throw, on the screen lay the simple message.
Suzie smiled for the first time in days at Isaac. He had done every thing perfeclty as usual. He had gotten the supplies adn two riding Harleys.
After several hours of work they had sufuceuntly changed their apperances. Isaac had had a shave and haircut and suzie had dyed her hair RAven Black. Now as the sunset they departed for Addison.
Don't worry Issac, we'll soon be back, we are only going away for the duration of the Full Moon. Now that Longinus is gone we no longer have his protection and must fend for ourselves.
Of course ma'am. All the contacts are set up the other end, we have a haven there. I found a charter that will offer us shelter for a week, just remebr you were part of the Washington (state) charter before it got busted.
Sure thing Isaac. Suzie said as they donned their jackets and mounted the Harleys, leaving Empire City behind them,
The skeleton rose, the crimson mist entering the crack in the skull formed by the protruding gladius. Plucking the sword from it's skull, the wound sewed itself shut. Walking over to the pile of meat in the corner, it began to slip into it's flesh like a macabre jacket. Running a finger down the length of the even slice that separated the pieces of his flesh, Pontius became whole once again. Sliding the gladius into it's scabbard, the Prince turned his head as the door opened, and the two Russians entered, one carrying the body of Oliver Lane over one shoulder. "The Gladiator is dead." Said one of the red-clad giants, in a heavy Russian accent. "Your assassin is slain." Pontius examined the corpse, Oliver's head was nearly severed at the neck. Nearly. "Given time and blood, he will return to us. Place him within his coffin, see that he recovers." Pontius waved the Opriknikki away as the giants whent off to perform their duties. Walking to the far end of the room, he pulled back the curtain, to reveal an abhuman monster crouching in the corner of an iron cage. Once, his name had been Sean, but that was hardly important now. As a Larva, he was terminally insane, a raving, hungry creature that lived only for death. He had been captured by the Opriknikki several hours before Longinus had died, driving him into the cage, and returning him here. Pontius smiled thinly, this creature would ensure the success of his plans. There was only one thing left to do. Circulating through a number of different brokers and realtors, Pontius immediatly sold all of his stock in Empire City, as well as his property. Soon, very soon, victory would be his. He would make the foolish Humanii suffer for his glory...
Miranda walked in to see Andy watching the TV in the station's lobby. His seemingly missing awareness of the situation made her both angry and jealous. His cocky attitude may be a facade of some sort to hide insecurities. Or it could be his way of dealing with what was going on around them, either way she was envious of how Andy could just shrug off any negative news.
"You back already?" Andy stared at the TV for a few seconds, "Good call with those explosives and a lot better than the work I've been doing. I've just been setting things on fire and then boom! You just blew up several warehouses."
"We need to hurry Bruss." Miranda retorted, "The full moon is co..."
"The full moon is coming and I already have plans in place for it." Andy cut her off as he stood up and approached her, "We need to get the crossbow out of the museum, the cops have agreed to let us get away with it but they didn't say anything about the museum's security staff. After that we paint some targets with vamp blood to lure the wolves to them. The police have told me that they'll support us by setting up roadblocks and detours just in case some people wander around after curfew. They'll also stay out of the area so that way they don't get hurt."
Miranda seemed shocked, Andy looked at her and smiled. "Bet you just thought I planned on destroying these things by hacking away at them with weapons huh?"
"Partially yes," Miranda replied, "you told us about your plan at the farmhouse...have you been thinking about this the entire time?"
"For a bit I was wondering why I was watching the news and about tieing Pontius up and hanging him from his own innards like Hannibal did." Andy grabbed Miranda by the arm and walked her towards the exit once more.
"What about Vegas?" Miranda asked.
"I already sent her a text telling her that we're going to the museum to get the crossbow. She's getting coffee, she'll be fine." Andy let go and opened the door for Miranda. The museum was about 15 minutes away, they would have to get in before it got too busy.
@ Mordo- I'm totally fine with Pontius having "captured" Sean...I was actually hopping you'd do something along those lines..
Also...I know Oliver's head wasn't totally severed ,but for RP purposes ...Oliver is out of the running.
@ Larkin--I hope Suzie and Isaac find some "help" and stick around.
FITZZ wrote: @ Larkin--I hope Suzie and Isaac find some "help" and stick around.
They will come back .. it's just without Longinus around (A methuselah and suzie's sire) and the full moon coming soon the chances if their short term survival dropped dramatically, hence the short move to a MC Charter in addison (Which I know is just outside Chicago) and so will still get state TV and news and so can keep abreast of the situation.
Dez had finished unpacking his stuff- mainly clothes, as all the guns were in the car- and had thought about what he had heard coming from that guy, Andy Bruss. He didn't like him. He knew he couldn't trust him. The man was always so goddamn full of himself. Also, he had seen him and that girl, Vegas, get their new "toys". As soon as they had got those they had basically forgotten about the people who had come to help.
Richard was out, making sure all the defenses were to his liking. He may not be in charge, but he knows a lot about a good defense, from the past. Dez hadn't spoke to him since Bruss had made his "announcement".
Everybody was tense, apart from Dez and Richard, as they had fought on a full moon before. It was hard as hell, but they came out alive. All Dez wanted now was to speak to that Cortez woman, and ask her if their presence is really necessary, as it seems their talents are being overlooked. For this, he walked downstairs, and couldn't find her anywhere. He rushed outside to find her and Bruss leaving in the car again. They could never stay put.
"gak, you are not leaving me like this again when I need to speak to ya," Dez whispered.
He rushed over to his motorbike, got on, and followed them.
It's not really a "plan", instead it's just having to discuss why Dez and Richard are always left out of things even though they have quite a lot of experience (well actually the experience part is more Richard), and how they don't want thier talents to be overlooked in always being ditched.
Miranda drove along the back streets to avoid as much trafic as she could on route to the museum, occasionally typing at her in dash console ...
" What's that your looking at ?" Andy inquired peering at the screen.
" It's a direct link to the Networks files...every bit of inteligence at our fingertips..." she said with a small smile..." Right now...I'm checking on Pontious holdings...every asset and property that Hawthorne and Danny had linked to him.."
" The plan was to freeze his assets.." Andy began..
" I'm aware of that..." Cortez frowned..." But...it appeares much of the properties have changed hands...looks like Pontious is cleaning house ...so to speak.."
" Damnit..." Andy said frustrated..
" Not to worry...."Miranda said..." I'm doing a traces on all interactions....most will lead to dummy fronts...false companies...Pontius is far to inteligent to simply be transfering funds...but...I'll locate a connection somewhere.."
" Meaning..?" Andy asked..
" Meaning..." Miranda smiled " I'll locate an actual address...a bank code...a broker...something...that will lead to an actual location...Pontius is brilliant....but even he can't cover every thing....even if it's just an actual broker...or lawyer somewhere...we'll find it...and through that...find Pontius."
Andy nodded..his phone buzzed..
" Vegas is on her way..she'll be at the Museum in five minutes.." He said.
" Good.." Miranda said.." We'll be there in three.."
Old Murry had followed Lukos orders to the letter...His first stop had been the address Lukos had given him to deliver the message...
The door had been opened by a tall woman with a cold, stern face ,raven hair and icy eyes that had made Murry feel like running away...
The old Hippy cautiously informed the woman that Lukos wished to see her and passed on the address...
" I will be there.." Is the only reply Murry recieved before the door closed in his face..
Murry had returned to the car, feeling like ice water was running through his body...." Scary B****" he muttered before driving away to complette his next task.
The second part of his mission had been much more to Murry's liking...he cruised the back streets and seedier areas of Empire City, areas he knew well and in less than an hour had picked up four "working girls"....wads of cash, with the promise of more, along with the cars stocked mini bar had put the four women in a jovial mood, and Old Murry had quite enjoyed the trip back to Amanda's home.
Retuning to the access gates to the neighborhood,Murry encountered Amanda and two of the other women, they too had aparently been out and about.
Amanda keyed the gates locking system and glanced back at Murry and his aquisitions...." Hey Hippy.." She said with a smile.." I see you got some...party favors...they look...delecious."
With that Amanda drove through the gate,Murry followed...his pleasent mood fading as he begin to dwell on the dark deeds to come.
Suzie and Isaac pulled of the main road into the small unassunming garage, killing ther engines they took off their helmets and walked towards the entrance.
And who the fething hell might you two be? A hefty man in a leather jacket asked,
I am Suzie Gardner, and this is Isaac Moon.
You'll speak when your spoken to lassie. Another man had arrived in the door way, he spoke in a gruff Scottish accent,
HEY Suzie, just let me do the talking please, I wanted to walk out of here alive.
I asked who the feth are you two
You have our names, we were part of the charter from Washington, we seek haven here for a few days then we will be on our way.
And what happened to said charter?
ATF busted us 6 months ago, Presdident adn VP cut a deal aking it look as if we were still there,
I accept that this may be true for you, but mot her, we all know that woman can't even become prospects
Towards the end we needed all the bodies we could get, anyway after that we joined the nomads as a temporary mesure, we are on our way to the charter inWashington DC, we hear they need some help.
Boys let them inside, sorry bout that they are a bit paranoid since the radi 2 months ago, anyway I'm the President here, James Burton, you're free to stay here upto a week and then either you're on your way or you apply to join this charter. I know what happened but thankfully most MC Presidents do as well
Shas'ui T'au Kais wrote:Whoah, Andy and Miranda must be really deaf not to hear the motorbike behind them
I never implied that they did or didn't hear the motorcycle behind them....
They were engaged in a serious discussion pertaining to tracking the main vampire through exploiting possiable leads via his finacial network....did I need to include one of them saying " Oh...and look Dez is behind us on that noisey motorbike"....?
You'd RP'ed that he was following them...
They're on route to the Museum....
Feel free to RP their arivail there and further interactions...
In the meeting room;
Okay folks, this here is Isaac and his friend, Suzie. They are here for upto a week. Now Isaac here has a very.... unsual rerquest to make of you, so i'll just let him announce it.
Thank you President, as you all know I am a nomad but I want to do my previous charter good. I wish to establish a charter in Empire City. I know thats asking alot of you all, it will take a massive effort.
Now guys I know that is a big thing to ask of you all, but tis is a venture that could reap massive returns, recently we have been informed that the policee are already streched to breaking point and we could send a small amount of people in there and they wouldn't even show up on the radar. Now I propose that we send ;
Prospect Vukojevic
Prospect Morgan
Sergeant-at-arms Griffin
To assist this venture. We will recess for two hours adn then we will vote upon this matter. During the recess
Well I have to thank you Isaac, you have propsed a move which wil allow you to take some thing out of my hands. We are sure that Griffin is feeding information to the feds, Morgan will never get patched here, there's no room for a lazy arse here, only Vukojevic actually pulls his weight around here, it'll be sad to see him go but you do need somebody who knows what they're doing. Of course you can recruit new members from the surroundong areas, from what i've heard theres alot of people wanting to lash out in that city, you just need to aim it.
Thank you sir, we couldn't do it without you, of course there will be more joining our patch. at the momoent there is chaos in the city so there's no guarentee for any members survival, I do feel sorry for suzie though, she is an excellent rider and brawler, it's just rare for chicks to get the patch.
well if you do get in a pointless fight just make sure Griffin leads the charge, most of the non-prospcts here have been informed of his predicament. we will of course give you some decent supplies, we have a few spare AKs and some Mp5s hanging around and ebough shotguns ad sidearms to arm several platoons.

Right now folks we ahve the results of the vote to proclaim. I know that we will always not agrees with every descision we amke here but the majority will always be behind so i remind you to avoid inighting.
Thats right folks so remeber nae brawling, and knifing outside.
Anway by 13 votes to 10 there will be a new charter established in Empire City. congrats to Isaac. we wil see you off at 8pm sharp after a Barbeque.
Thank You President.
As Isaac set out back to Empire City he felt truely happy. riding beside him was Suzie and VukoJevic. Behind them was a Black van with Griffin and Morgan in it, as well as 2 AKs 3 MP5s and 10 Handguns with some grenades. Surely now they had a fighting chance against the Lupines. But they had to hit hard and fast, their lack of supernatural powers would be thier undoing in a protracted fight, and hunters wouldn't help but for the most part they could appear to be a purely human group, HELL no-one else knew about Suzie's fate. The President had given him specific instructions;
1>They had bought a garage on the outskirts and there was three mechanics there who were employed so they would do as they were told
2> In a possible deadly fight, Griffin was first in, Last out.
3> They would have to recruit new members, but Suzie could start out as a prospect if thats what she wanted
Judgement day has arrived
As old Murry lead the four women into the house, they were greeted by Lukos and Amanda...
" Ladies" Lukos said with a slight bow " Welcome...There is a buffet prepared for you in the dinning area and drinks by the pool"
A plump woman named Linda eyed Lukos " What do you mean...buffet and drinks...?...Mister...we're...business women...that means we have to get down to business...time is money.."
Lukos smiled " Ahh my dear...perhaps my ...associate didn't make things clear...we will require your and your friends services for the duration..." Lukos handed each woman a small stack of bills...
Linda eyed the money, counting it quickly..." Man...there's over three thousand dollars here.." she smiled .." Mister...we'll be here for as long as you want us to be.." the other girls laughed in agreement.
" Wonderful..." Lukos said with a smile that never touched his eyes..." Please...enjoy yourselves...get to know everyone..and feast...fill yourselves...the food is quite good.."
" Thanks Mister.." Linda said..." This is a great party...best I've ever been to."
Lukos smiled " Oh...just wait until tonight my dear...this will be a party you'll never forget."
Amanda took Linda by the arm and smiled at the other girls..." Come...I'll introduce you to everyone...and...then we can have some...fun."
Lukos pulled Murry aside..." Did you deliver my message to...the elder..?"
" Elder..?" Murry said confused..." You mean that scary looking chick..?"
Lukos bared his fangs at Murry..." You will show respect..." he said with menace ...
" Yes.." Murry replied..his voice cracking with fear..." She say's she'll be here..."
Lukos released the trembling hippy.." Very well.." he looked into the large front room where the four girls were now dancing about and...coupleing with Amanda and her pack...
" Go.." Lukos nodded towards the group.." Enjoy yourself Murry...you've earned it...have one of the woman...hell have two of them...and eat...eat hearty.."
Murry nodded and rushed to join the decadent festivites in the living room...
Lukos smiled to himself..." Eat hearty..Murry" he whispered..." Because I certianly intend to..."
Miranda swung her SUV into the museum front lot and killed the engine, noticing the motorcycle pull in nearby...she glanced out of her window and saw it was the young hunter Dez..
She looked at Andy..." We're going in and out...hopefully we'll encounter no resistance...or problems...the crossbow is on the first floor....medivelle armour and weapons section to the right.."
Andy nodded " If the cops can be trusted...the museum currator should just give us the bow..."
Miranda sighed..." Bruss...no one can be trusted...especially anyone outside of the Order...we have no idea how many people are under Pontius control ...or how much influence he has..you would do well to remember this."
Andy began to protest but Miranda was already exiting the vehicle, she quickly checked her pistol and slipped it into a concealed holster...
Dez approached the vehicle quickly..." So...what's the deal here?" he asked..
Miranda looked at the young Hunter..." The deal...is that we're going in here and getting you a weapon you can use against the Vampires..."
Dez looked at the building in front of them..." We're robbing a museum?" he asked..
" If we have to.." Miranda said with a nod walking towards the building...
Andy had climbed from the SUV and joined Dez..." We should wait for Vegas.." he called after Cortez..
" We don't have the luxary of waiting Bruss.." Miranda called over her shoulder..." The full Moon is tomorrow night...and I've a bad feeling that this city is going to turn into a war zone..."
Jimmy sat in his flat thinking. It had been a day since Ramona died and he wasn't taking it well. Josh had got scared and ran off. It was now late the next day and he hadn't come back, he probably had been destroyed by sunlight. He sighed and thought to himself,
"This happens every place I go to. It's my curse, to bring death and damnation to wherever I go. Sometimes I think a vampire lives too long." he put his head in his hands and sighed again,
"It's time I left." Jimmy stood up gathered his things into a backpack and walked to the closed window. He evaporated into gas and left through an opening in the window.
"So long Empire City," he thought as he drifted off into the sky.
OOC: Kay bye guys, Im leaving this rp coz im going away and will miss the finale. So bye everyone!
Also...for the record...I'm going to try to wrap this RP up with a "climax" on the night of the "Blood Moon"...which in Game time is tomorrow night...it will encompas some player events...and culminate in a big showdown (or two)...it will also probably have a few "cliffhangers" for a possiable "sequel RP" I'll do in a few months or so..
Catos wrote:in case this thing doesnt wrap up by the time i get back i might rejoin.
I'm fairly certain it will have wrapped...or be well on it's way to...
But Jimmy will be welcomed to appear in the sequel RP...since he's obviously making it out of this one alive.
It began as a single raised voice that quickly transformed into a roar of rage. What began as a tide lapping against a tranquil beach became a furious tidal wave of flesh, crushing those unfortunate enough to get in it's way. Windows were shattered, people dragged from their homes and murdered for reasons the great mass did not fully understand. Looting was rampant, shops torn to ruin by a thousand angry hands, searching for something, anything of worth. In a matter of brief hours, Empire City was a cauldron of unrest and rioting, as thousands took to the streets forming a great beast that smashed and devoured all in it's path. The police were hopelessly outnumbered, and they struggled to keep the behemoth at bay. Then, the fires began. A spark that soon became a holocaust of raging flames, burning uncontrollably with unquenchable passion. Elsewhere, a pale figure watched from a balcony, a smile forming across his thin lips. The board had been set, and the pieces were moving. He motioned to the two giants near him, instructing them to bring the oak coffin outside. Pontius smiled. It was all going according to plan.
Lukos strolled into the living room as the stereo pounded out some reapeditive beat that the four "working girls",Old Murry and half of Amanda's pack were busy gyrating to.
Amanda herself was seated, along with Star and Candi ,on a large cream colored sectional couch and Lukos sat himself near them and poured a glass of whiskey.
Sipping the amber liquid he glanced over at Amanda who was looking at Linda, the plump prostitute ,with hunger in her eyes..
Noticing Lukos stare Amanda smiled and showed her fangs quickly,Lukos only smirked and shook his head mouthing the word "Later"...
Amanda feighed disappointment ...but laughed and nodded.
Soon, all the dancers had disrobed and retired to splash happily in the swimming pool in the back yard, leaving Lukos and Amanda to converse more openly...
" That plump little piggy...Linda...she's mine.." Amanda said smiling..
Lukos chuckled..." They're all meat for the pack Amanda...you must see that your pups eat well...they will be most effected by the Hunger when the Blood Moon rises..."
" When the Blood Moon rises...I plan to be feeding on the citizens of Empire my dear Lukos.." Amanda said arching her back and ruffling Star's hair.
Lukos frowned.." Show some cunning ...Tonight...on the eve of the Moon...we shall feed on these...women" Lukos said gesturing towards the pool..." Tomorrow we shall Hunt Pontius...when he...and his followers are slain...then you and your pups may satisfy the Hunger..but first we concentrate on killing the Vampire Pontius...not on feeding.."
Amanda glared at Lukos..." I'm fully aware of what we must do Lukos...but if prey steps in the way...".she shrugged
Lukos sighed ..." You always were stiff willed Amanda...pray your stuborness doesn't cost you your life tomorrow..."
Amanda laughed..." Tomorrow...under the Blood Moon...it is the life of Pontius that will end Lukos...not mine.."
Lukos chuckled again..." I honestly hope your correct Amanda...I really do."
Amanda smiled..." Of course I'm correct.." she pulled Star and Candi closer to her, nuzzling against them.." Come Lukos...enjoy some...bonding...before we all feast."
Lukos shrugged and joined Amanda and the others on the couch...
An Hour Later ..Lukos sat bolt upright..throwing on his clothing..." She approaches ..." He said gesturing for Amanda and the other two pups to dress...
Moments later there was a knock at the homes front door...
Lukos rushed to the door, opening it slowly...
A tall woman with ice blue eyes and jet black hair dressed entirely in leather entered the house as Lukos bowed slightly at the waist..." My Queen.." Lukos whispered
Amanda bowed as well, quickly motioning Star and Candi to do the same..
The woman glanced at Amanda..." Hmmm..Amanda ...still perpetually in heat I...see"
Amanda said nothing
It was Candi who broke the silience.." Um...is she a .." the young wolf began, causing Amanda to quickly silence her..
Lukos stepped forward..." You are a pup...so your transgresion will be forgiven...this time...but know...this is Natasha...The Elder...Wolf Queen...Her's is the blood line from which you flow..."
Candi bowed slightly ..unsure what to do..she began to appologize profusely
Natasha laughed...and moved closer to the pup..stroking her hair..." Worry not young one...you've not offended me...please continue with your celebrations...it is our way..after all."
The Woman turned to Lukos smiling..." I trust you've seen to the evening meal.."
" Indeed I have Natasha..." Lukos said gesturing to the pool ..
Natasha smiled..." Excelent..then...you and I shall..commune for a time...before we feast..."
Lukos took the woman into his arms .
School work time right now, so I'll make my excuses quick.
1) Test, which was passed with flying colors, hooray.
2) Car needed new injection coil, hooray.
3) House AC was out, living in the south, near the coast, muggy weather, hooray.
4) Laptop needs new operating system, hooray.
5) Lost paper due today on laptop that needs new operating system, hooray.
Andy will be doing something violent because I am currently p to the i to the double s to the e to the d off. In fact...
BIC:
Andy called in a nuke which turned all of the zombies into super mutant zombies that could think and organize massive armies of zombies to fight the vampires and werewolves. Andy clapped his hands and jumped around in amusement while punting butterflies off of the highest skyscraper he could find.
Sounds like a bad run of luck there Nachos....sorry to hear it..
For what it's worth I stubbed my toe first thing this morning, burnt myself with very hot coffee and then proceeded to jamb my thumb back attempting to get the hood of an old Corvette open...so my days been a little ray of sunshine thus far as well...
I'd hoped to be wrapping this RP up this weekend...or at least have it well on it's way to conclusion....but...with everyone busy...I have no idea when it (the finally) may happen.
Clearly I can't finish the RP alone...
Scarlett sat up with a groan, the night was heavy and she had slept late, she hadn't done that for years, not since. With a sense of fear she threw herself out of the bed and grasped some leggings and a short black top from the side. Pausing only to glance at her long hair in the mirror, no time she thought and burst through the door into her apartment.
.....
Sergio was running, running for his unlife. Slamming his back against the rusty shack on the outskirts of Empire City he popped open his sawn off shotgun and pulled the two spent cartridges out tosing them to the floor. He felt into his ammo belt around his shoulder under his jacket. Two left, had to make them count.
In the distance her heard the screams of Diaz suddenly cut short, and knew he had to move. What was he thinking, he'd met her twice before, both times she'd left death and destruction in his wake, he should have known.
He leapt over a small fence and ran towards what looked like a line of trees leading onto some property.
"Sergio, my dear lets not make this any more painful than neccesary." her voice was lingering in the air somewhere behind him, like the rattle of a Diamondback ready to strike.
Snapping the shotgun shut, he channelled some blood and rushed out through the trees into the field before him running towards the lone building in the distance. As he ran he could see what looked like an older man, a scruffy short fella, almost a echo from the hippy era sitting on a seat on the porch. The man was partially asleep, but had focused on Sergio's sudden rapid approach. Sergio watched as the man jumped up and ran inside in a panic, he had no idea what to expect but he had to get to cover before...
Victoria slammed into his legs, tossing the large man several feet into the air. As he fell he channelled everything he had left to increase speed and strength and spun the shotgun at he blasted at pointblank range. Her hand grasped his throat as she reappeared from the shadow form that had passed through the shells and crushed his neck with a slight squeeze. She looked into his eyes as her own stained fully black.
"Tonight it ends" she hissed and sunk her fangs deep into his tattered flesh.
Amanda pushed Old Murry out of the way as she stepped onto the porch, he was probably talking rubbish as normal, then she stopped and stared at the scene in the middle of the field. She growled unlike any Human and Lukos and Candi appeared either side of her. Lukos face broke into a slight smile.
"Her unlucky night?" he mused motioning to the blonde haired female as he stepped forward.
Then all three stopped cold as the man she was holding burst into flame and ash and scattered to the winds. All three taken aback by the sight of a Vampire draining one of their own.
"What the feth!" gasped Candi.
The strange woman looked up at them, and Amanda stepped forward ready to change.
"Do not move" growled Natasha as she stepped out alongside the three and glared out at Victoria. the elder Vampire looking up recognised the Queen and shadows formed around her.
"We kill her now?" Candi blurted.
"Silence child, this is.. unexpected."
A strange calm befell the field as the four Werewolves stood ready for any sign of a fight, while Victora pulled shadows around her, blades and flails of mist and shadow spinning about her frame. As no attack from either side was forthcoming Victoria smiled at Natasha and then bowed with mock respect before twisting into a mist of shadows and gliding up into the skies heading towards Empire City.
"Why did you stop me?" Amanda said slightly angry looking back.
"You listened to my command, that is all that matters for now. Lukos."
She walked out from the porch, Lukos following as they walked over to the scattered remains of the male Vampire and Natasha sniffed the air. Kneeling down she picked up the shotgun and looked towards the City in the distance.
"It's not often I see you pause." he muttered looking at the ash swirling in the wind.
"Did you ever read a tale called The Alphabet of Ben-Sira, Lukos?"
He nodded as he stared up at the sky, and then back at her as realisationed dawned before opening his mouth to speak but no words came. His mind raced as the possibility of what Natasha was suggesting bounced around his mind.
"Hence my caution" she muttered tossing the weapon back into the dirt.
His eyes remained on the sky as he tried to spot the shadow mist spiralling toward the city, he finally snapped out of his shock and looked to her his face darkening.
"What in hell does she want, and shes a Vampire, since when!" he said quietly
"It doesn't matter, if she is there she will either fight us and die, or she will ignore us, she is not with the other Vampires."
"I'm not feeling much comfort from that." Lukos whispered. Natasha smiled as she stood, leading them back to the feast awaiting them.
.....
Scarlett looked up to the brooding night sky as she pulled her car out of the garage, she turned up onto mains street aiming for the Aphasia. Picking up her phone she keyed in the numbers, lifting it up to her ear as she drove. People where crazy tonight, there was madness on the streets, but fortuantely now one was mad enough to try and stop her spedding car with their bodies, well at least not yet.
"Scarlett!"
"What's going on Malf?"
"Chaos, I'm packing my bags, suggest you do the same."
Come to the Aphasia before you leave Malf, I need to ask you something."
A long pause lingered on the phone.
"Okays as its you, I'll stop by, but really Scarlett, this town is going down the crapper, I just got a bad feeling."
"Noted Malf"
She tossed the phone on the seat beside her as she pulled into the private car park behind the Apashia. Stopping her car, she leant forward and rubbed her forehead, a old trait from her Human days. She watched as a few young people looking worried and fearful headed up the alley towards the nighclub probably trying to find a place to hide, and felt a growing hunger within. Opening the car door, she quickly headed for the entrance. She didn't have much time.
[OOC - sorry I wasn't properly about yesterday, if its not quite night yet, this is supposed to fit in not long after nightfall, just before the werwolves would be preparing to start their stuff.]
Well I'm not particularly busy, apart from having my birthday tomorrow (wahoo! ), It's just I cannot really think of what to post for the museum bit, and also I am seriously getting worried about illyboy

Got a PM from Silly the other day,he's just very busy ATM....no cause for alarm.
It's great man...and doing a bit of "time warp " is perfectly fine with me...
The only remaining "daylight" situation" is for the HUnters...and with Nachos and Silly's absence, and Kais writers block...I may have to play "fill in the blanks" at the museum myself...
OOC: Sorry for a bit of a hiatus, a combination of personal problems, school work, learning to drive, getting the most from what little holiday I have left, and band practice have really kept occupied from doing anything much on Dakka. (I now can see why Darko procrastinated as much as he did in Zombies.)
From the time I've had to read through the thread, it's become apparent that it's rolling to a close. As such, character development for Holly/Sky probably won't happen, and will have to await for a (Possible) future Rp. Forces are amassing, and I gather Amanda is stinking the place up? With these presumptions I shall write what little I can in the time made available to me before I go out to get totally habberdashed.
IC: Ryan had made his first official kill at the warehouse district. A rapist had crossed swords with the wrong women, and had then proceeded to be torn apart by what he could only describe as a monster. But now he was no more; a wreck of snapped ribs and bloody flesh. Most of him had been devoured; anything remaining would be picked clean by the rodents, making it unlikely that any would discover the murder, so little evidence remained to suggest the body was even human. Ryan now was exploring; even with the mindset of an animal, he knew that stalking above ground would get him spotted, and so he moved, like the embodiment of ferocity, through the sewer system. It was vast; a labyrinth of tunnels, old and new, layered on top of each other as the city had grown, and as the older tunnels fell into disuse. Crumbling masonry underfoot, Ryan moved silently into the bowels of the city, padding forward on all fours, unable to stand on his hind legs without having to stoop in the dark, cramped environment. An hour passed, and the ravenous ever present hunger growled within his belly, and, Ryan turned his thoughts from exploration, to hunting. After a few short minutes of following his nose, and taking some 'shortcuts' through the hall collapsing walls, Ryan found himself in better feeding grounds. Namely, an underground train station. But, just as he prepared to leap from the inky black of the tunnel, into the masses of waiting public, a smell, pungent, smelling slightly of cinnamon, caught in the back of his throat, and Ryan paused. Some needs were greater than others, and Ryan turned his back on the awaiting massacre in favour of a possible mate. With a swish of his furred tail, he was gone, back into the darkness, heading for the outskirts of Empire with purpose...
Andy looked over the museum's side entrance while Dez and Miranda got ready to enter as well. He had checked his weapon and loaded it with cheaper non-silver rounds, the sword was in the van, and he only had the dagger with him. He had decided to rename the dagger to "The Fidofether" because that's exactly what it did. He would probably rename the sword after he had killed something with it as well.
"Alright," Andy cracked his knuckles, "we go in fast and and get what we came for before leaving. The presence of the scrub may make it more difficult, but we can pull it off anyways."
"Scrub?" Dez asked.
"Yes, you're the newest one here." Andy smiled, "Don't worry though I only got here almost two days ago and now I lead this here chapter. We'll go in and shoot into the ceiling to get the guards and others either out of here or down on their knees. Then we smash the case, take the crossbow, and get the hell out before anyone arrives."
"Don't you think that's rather blatant Bruss?" Miranda mulled the plan over in her head.
"Why do you call me 'Bruss' Mirandam...anyways it is blatant but its a whole shock and awe kind of thing." Andy pointed to the door, "The exhibit should only be down the hall from this entrance, which is why its locked and alarmed. But we have the police on our side for the most part so we should be okay just running in."
"What if Pontius has some on pay roll?" Miranda asked again.
"Pontius just sold his assets, I'm not sure if he has any humans on payroll still." Andy began to look for a crow bar to open the door.
"What if they're thralls who don't need a payroll to do what he says?" Miranda smirked.
"Then we put them out of their misery." Andy pulled a crowbar out and jammed it into the museum's door. With a loud grunt the door cracked open and the alarm shrieked into life. Some security guards had already ran to the door when Andy pulled out his revolver and aimed it at them, "Don't be stupid, take us to the medieval exhibit and don't try anything smart. Scrub, watch the door."
As the two guards walked in front of them with their hands above their respective heads, Andy and Miranda followed down the hall into the exhibit. The crossbow sat off to the side in a glass case, behind some of the museum's patrons who were being watched by other security guards. Andy fired his revolver into the ceiling and screams filled the exhibit.
"Out! NOW!" Miranda shouted to the patrons and other security guards. Andy walked quickly over to the crossbow's case and smashed it with the crowbar, another alarm sounded but was drowned out by the previous one. Andy grinned as he picked up the crossbow and the bolts and tossed them to Miranda who was shocked at how Andy had treated such old weapons.
As Miranda left the exhibit with the crossbow and its ammo, Andy walked backwards with his weapon drawn on the crowd. He kept his finger away from the trigger to avoid firing into the crowd of the people he was trying to protect. As soon as he reached the exhibit's entrance he began to run to catch up with Miranda. Dez was standing in the doorway and watched as Andy and Miranda jogged up to him.
"In the van Dez." Andy pushed him out of the doorway.
"What about my bike?" Dez asked.
"You can get a new one, let's go!" Andy continued to push him towards the van before getting in himself.
I'm going to be jumping ahead to nightfall at Amanda's home (any one who wishes to RP daylight activitey between time frames feel free to do so though)...
Mt write up will begin moments after Victoria has disappeared...and will include Ryan "turning up"...as well as the fate of the four "working girls"...stay tuned.
Color: Natasha and the others stepped back into the house, concern still showing on Lukos face and Victoria's appearance...
He Turned to Natasha..." The presence of yet another ancient is disconcerning my queen...if she is in leauge with Pontius..."
Natasha sighed and stared at Lukos..." Victoria has her own agenda...an alliance with Pontius is unlikely ..."
The plump prostitute,Linda, interupted their conversation...her three friend huddled close behind her " Hey..look...we don't know what's going on..but...I don't like all the noise I just heard outside...maybe you guys should take us back to the city..."
Natasha smiled at the woman...stroking her hair..."If that is what you wish...but I assure you...all is well...you have nothing to fear.."
The Queen reached into her pockets and produced another large stack of bills, handing them to the woman...she also produced a large plastic bag of white powder " Are you certian you and your friends wish to depart our little festivities?"
Linda grinned as Natasha poured a large amount of the bags contents onto a glass table.." Well" Linda said.."I guess we could stay for a while.."
" Excellent..." Natasha smiled in return as Linda and her friend partook of the offered "refreshments"...
Old Murry had turned on the large TV in the living room, and the group sat watching a breaking news report from Empire City...small riots had erupted through out the area...looting was reported...and several structures were engulfed in flame, citizens were being urged to remain indoors as police attempted to restore order...
Natasha stared at the screen, her eyes narrow..." This is Pontius doing..he sows chaos to cover his tracks..."
" I guess it's a good thing we stayed..." Linda said " Looks like the city's gone crazy..."
Amanda smiled at the chubby prostitute..." It's going to get much...crazier tomorrow..."
Linda said nothing...only stared at the Blonde woman whom she was begining to suspect was crazy herself...
Natasha stood and walked to the window, staring out at the night sky....up at the moon..she turned and switched the TV off and turned on the stero system...music filling the house...she turned up the volume ..
" It's time for the real party.." She smiled sliping out of her clothing and begining to gyrate seductively.
The rest of the wolves followed her lead...as did the four prostitutes....soon the living room was filled with dancing, undulating ,unclad bodies...
Natasha danced closer to Linda, caressing the plump woman as Amanda joined her..nuzzling the woman's neck...
Natasha lowered her head ...kissing the plump woman's stomach..." It is time..." the wolf queen said...Natasha's face rose to Linda's...the woman screamed...she was staring into the face of a monster...Natasha's eyes blazed with animal fury and hunger...her teeth had become impossiably long and sharp...Linda turned to run and saw Amanda had changed as well....she smiled at the woman with a mouth filled with fangs and lifted a twisted clawed hand in a "No-No" gesture before falling on the fat screaming woman...together Amanda and Natasha tore into the woman's stomach, spilling her insides onto the floor as the woman shrieked for salvation.
At once the living room erupted into mayhem, Star and Candi leapt onto a screaming prostitute cowering on the floor and proceeded to devoure her alive in a ravenous orgy of blood frenzy,Star sank her fangs into the girls breast ripping it from her body as Candi tore one of the woman's arms complettly off in her fury to feed...
At the same instant..Davin and Carlos each grabbed a shrieking girl in their powerful clawed hands...Davin plunging into one girls chest and ripping her still beating heart from her body in a spray of blood,as Carlos slowly tourtured his victiam..holding her pinned to the floor while ripping chunks of torn flesh from her thighs with his claws and craming the dripping meat into his wolfish maw...
Old Murry stepped back, his stomach knoting at the sight of the four women being savagely torn to pieces by the pack of wolves...he froze as a clawed hand fell upon his shoulder...
Murry spun staring into Lukos transformed face...the eyes of the Devil he had feared so much burning into his...
"...I...I...was loyal...I was loyal...I WAS LOYAL!!!" Murry screamed as Lukos decended on him...an almost apologetic look in the big wolfs eyes as he tore the screaming hippies head from his body in one quick gesture...with a grunted sigh.Lukos began to feed upon the body of his now dead servent...
As their hunger became satisfied,Natasha sat back...her body slick with blood and gore...she paused and sniffed the air...a small smile creeping across her blood smeared lips....she pulled Amanda away from the remains of Linda and lapped the blood from her face and body as Amanda smiled contently...
" The other is nearby..." Natasha said licking blood from Amanda's neck..." He approaches from the woods...and he...longs for a mate.."
Amanda's smile widened as she careressed her blood soaked form..." Then we should prepare to greet him.." she smiled.
The two women laughed and threw their heads back howling....in the distance...a long mournfull howl answered theirs.
Ok ...slight "time warp"...the events at Amanda's house are taking place at roughly 7:00 PM...the events at the Museum at roughly Noon...
Anyone who needs/wants to "fill in the blanks" concerning the time is free to do so....
Other than that...Game time 7:00PM....
As I said...I'm pushing for the RP to move to "Blood Moon"...the day/night of the full moon (which is tomorrow game time)....so I can set up some final events and other fun stuff to close this RP nicely....and leave room for a later follow up RP down the road...
...As the Hunters left the city limits ,Miranda found her thoughts drifting once more, her feelings of unease had returned again and she just couldn't shake the idea that everything was about to go horribly wrong,a chill passed over her, even in the bright noon day sun washing into the vehicle ...she felt as if ice water was runing through her viens...
" I still can't raise Vegas" Andy said closing his cell phone and staring at Miranda..." Odd"...
" It's funny..." Dez said from the rear of Miranda's SUV..." I can't reach Uncle Richard either...he should be answering...but.."
Miranda made a shushing gesture and pointed at a thick cloud of black smoke in the distance hanging over the tree line..." I think that's the farm..." she said softly..
" What!!" Dez shouted from the back " It can't be.."
" Hurry..." Andy said staring at the thick smoke cloud in the distance " I think your right...it is the farm"...
Miranda put the excelarator to the floor and the SUV surged forth...
Several minutes later the vehicle was pulling into the farms dooryard...the entire structure was an inferno...the main house was engulfed in flame, and the barn and garage were almost gone...burnt flat...the chared hulls of several vehicles stood covered in ruin..thick oily smoke and flame rising from their interiors...
" My God" Miranda said leaping from her SUV...
" Uncle Richard!!...Rachel!!!" Dez shouted making a run for the blazing house..Andy grabbed the young man by the arm..." No!!"..Andy shouted.." If they were in there...then they're gone..."
Dez glared at the burning house ...a single tear slipped down his face...
In the distance the sound of sierens aproaching could be heard...
Andy scanned the dooryard for signs of survivors...he saw none...but Vegas car was not there...perhaps she was still in the city...
Miranda touched Andy on the shoulder..pointing...
Suspended on a metal pole was the head of on of the Mechanics from the farm...a sign.writen in blood hung below the severed head...
" You Are Now The Hunted."...was writen across it....
Andy looked over the sign and the head before pushing Dez back towards the truck. He was quiet as he snatched the keys from Miranda and climbed into the driver's seat. His face looked calm and he seemed unnerved by everything that had just happened. Miranda climbed into the truck along with Dez and as soon as the door shut the truck sped off. Miranda and Dez were pushed back into their respective seats by the force of the sudden start.
"Where are we going?" Miranda asked as Andy continued to drive away from the city.
"Don't know, just have to drive for awhile." Andy's knuckles were white as he gripped the steering wheel.
"We should try to regroup or something before you do anything rash." Miranda replied, trying to calm him down.
"Do you have a bomb?" Andy asked.
"A bomb?" Miranda echoed.
"Yes, motherfething bomb, did I fething stutter, I'm..." Andy was interrupted by Miranda slapping him. The truck skidded to the side as the shock of the slap reached Andy.
"You will not talk to me like that Bruss." Miranda added, her finger pointed at Andy's face, "This is a huge shock to all of us, you think Dez losing his uncle isn't a big thing for him?"
Andy just looked at the road he was driving on, the sting in his face still lingered.
"We need to get back at them, we need reinforcements or something." Andy said politely.
"We can work on that, but we don't have the resources right now." Miranda watched the smoke rising in the rear view mirror.
Andy stopped the car and turned it towards the city. He looked at the skyline and imagined what it would be like on the night of the full moon. He had nothing to work with save an autoshop, an autoshop filled with flammable materials.
"We'll burn em all down." Andy looked at Miranda and Dez in turn, "We know where Pontius's lair is, we have an autoshop filled with potential bombs, and I don't know about you but I'm filled with piss and vinegar."
"That's suicide." Miranda sat back in her seat and sighed after a few seconds of silence.
Dez sat in the back seat, his own anger was also growing, but a suicide mission for revenge was something for him to think about. The truck began to drive back towards the city, plans for a bomb already in Andy's head.
In the back seat, in Dez's mind, anger was boiling up. These two people with him thought he was a newbie, a scrub, they called him. He had been a hunter for about four or five years now, so he was not a noob, and he didn't want to be treated that way. His Uncle, Richard, and Rachel, the love of his life, were both gone, most probably dead, and he was not around to protect them when they need him.
Now, the only thing that was going through his mind were the thoughts of revenge. But he needed a weapon to help him against the vampires. He had come mainly prepared for werewolves, and all the weapons he had brought for the vampires were at the farm, which was now in ruins.
He needed the corossbow.
For the first time since they had begun thier journey, he spoke.
"I need the crossbow," he said deeply.
"What did you say?" Miranda asked.
"I need the fething crossbow. I ain't got gak to defend myself with against vampires if we encounter them, as all the weapons I had against them are now burning with the farm ruins. I need the crossbow if I will have any chance against them."

OOC: Sorry for the short post, just been kinda busy today.
Suzie smilled around at the meeting room;
Welcome to the first meeting of this MC. I welcome our members form Addison adn to the willing members we found here.
4 guys in mechanics outfits and two guys in leather jackets forced a smile.
Now we all whats going down, the police are useless and wolfen monsters from your darkest dreams stalk the streets. Martial law is on place and we-the people- are feeling the backlash. Now we take back the city. We will purge these monsters form our streets and return the natural order of things. Here are some earpieces, I need all riders to wear one each, our good friends the mechanics here have a police scanner and we will be able to hear whatever kind of gak goes down here.
Now to find that bastard
They rode out in formation. 2 pairs with Vukojevic at the back. All ahd atleast a sidearm and an MP5 with them.
OOC: They will just roam the streets listening to the scanner until they copme across hunters/wolves/vamps
"The crossbow was going to be one of your group's weapons all along. But, we're going to need more than just a crossbow." Andy looked at Dez in the mirror, "We need to do something to get most of the people out of the area."
"Is that why you want a bomb?" Miranda asked, "To clear out the city?"
"No, I want the bomb to blow the vamps and wolves into bits." Andy drove back towards the outpost in the city, "We need a helicopter and some sniper rifles, everything we can get from the police. We blow open the entrance to Pontius's lair, then we break the vial of vamp blood near the entrance, then we use the rifles and helicopter to shoot at any survivors from the safety of the sky."
"Some vampires can fly." Miranda added.
"Then we just blow up Pontius's lair and let the wolves pick off any vamps who survive." Andy corrected his plan, "Once the vampires are gone we get into a helicopter and chase down the wolves."
"What if the vampires defeat the werewolves?" Miranda asked.
"Then we get some flashbangs and finish them off." Andy corrected.
"With the three of us?" Miranda continued to ask.
"You want me to just say we lost?" Andy looked at Miranda out of the corner of his eye, "We've already lost, I know that but we can do some damage before we have to leave and get reinforcements."
"What do you mean we lost?" Dez asked from the back.
"I mean we have no headquarters, no people, no weapons, and no lasting capabilities." Andy replied.
"But what about my uncle, and Rachel?" Dez blurted from his seat.
"What about Vegas, what about everyone else in the farm?" Andy rolled his eyes, "They're dead, we lost, we can't do much but we can try to do as much as possible so they can't consolidate their win."
"What about the people in the city?" Dez continued to try to get Andy's emotions.
"The people in the city," Andy tried to find something to say, "unfortunately they'll have to suffer a bit before we can completely clear out the city."
"Didn't you clear out the last city you were in?" Dez asked.
"Yes, but we had a full 30 hunters, and I mean hunters not 10 hunters and 20 techs who can't fight." Andy shook his head, "Listen, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I have... had a plan that revolved around a full compliment of hunters that are no longer here. The new plan is to quit while we have our heads and to make sure we can leave safely."
"Ah, so its not all of that other tactical stuff you were saying before Bruss." Miranda seemed almost happy .
"Its a part of a tactic, just not an offensive one. We need to leave and recover, we can't let them chase after us so we bog both of them down with each other." Andy sighed.
A feeling of defeat filled the truck, with blowing up the lair and trying to lead the wolves to it they should have enough of a distraction to allow them to escape.
....Through out Empire City structures blazed....despite the curfew the streets teamed with masses of people, angry mobs clashed with law enforcement and each other as others attempted to flee the city...
In the ongoing breakdown of order many were taking the oppertunity to loot various shops and the streets were filled with groups of individules rushing about with arm loads of ill gotten goods...
Pontius minions had sewn the seeds of mayhem well...and now the city was a battle field...
The Deputy Mayor had called in National Guadsmen..but the majority would not arive until the following day,and the police force of Empire city was streached thin in the attempt to maintain contro..a battle they were loosing with each passing hour...
A group of teenagers, fleeing from the police ,had taken refuge in an abadoned theater in the lower downtown area....as they laughed and counted the cash they had made off with from a convince store...they were unaware that they had entered a lair of ancient evil...as the wail of sierens filled the night, the hapless youths screams filled the air as the shadows of the Fallen rose all around them...
They had come...answering Pontius call...and as the city burned...the Fallen prepared to do his bidding.l
Game Time Is Midnight...
Ok,The city is in chaos due to the actions started by Pontius Minions ...and obviously The Fallen have all arived in Empire City to finish off the Hunters and the Wolves....
I need everyone to do some RPs and decide where your characters are and what they're doing soon...as I have a few player events in mind which will lead up to the final battle...
Scarlett Glanced at the monitors in her office at the small number of people trying to hide within the club, a couple of dozen at the most, sitting in pairs or threes around the main room. There was a fearful quiet about the place, even with the music playing, it probably didn't help no DJ had turned up and it was stock dance music. She tried to ignore the chaos on the cop radio, and the hack into the civic camera's playing on the top moniter to the left around main street and City Hall. The city was in utter chaos.
She had a horrible feeling her own kind where behind it, but this kind of madness could not bring anything but destruction to her kind, if the truth broke, it would be over before the Vampire community had a chance to react. As she sipped on a glass of chilled blood from her reserves, she spotted Malf sneak into the rear entrance. His normal hunched over appearance only slightly off by the large slung rucksack on his left shoulder.
"Hmm he wasn't messing with me, he is leaving." she muttered slowly.
As Malf walked into the office he dropped the bag with a clunk and looked over at her before sitting down on the guest chair across from her table. He tried to relax, not something Malf could do at the best of times, and his dirty anorack smelt of the sewers as he itched his unkempt hair.
"It's madness out there I tells ya, Ponti has lost it big style." he spat looking at her.
Scarlett did her best to hide the smile, but half nodded as she leant back into her chair.
"He'd be 'upset' if he heard you call him by that name you know."
Malf raised an eyebrow.
"Feth him, he's gonna get burned, or at least trash what was a good thing here in Empire. Plus I don't give a gak, I ain't coming back once I leave those pearly gates."
"Anywhere nice?" She asked half interested as she finshed the glass of blood.
"Miami probably, its got a good nightlife turnover, no one's going to miss the odd travelling blood bag."
She smirked.
"You, hanging near to Haitian Vampires, sure thats a good idea?"
He looked trying to figure how serious she was, then dismissed any scorn she might have, it hardly mattered.
"Don't give a feth what they think, and they can shove that voodoo.."
Scarlett waived him silent with a finger over her lips as she stood.
"I asked you to visit me for a reason Malf, before yout left."
"Yeah, and I came, so what is it, my legs want to be walking that way." he said thumbing over his shoulder.
Walking over to the glass window Scarlett looked out at the Aphasia, watching as Sandra served two young men with some vodka. She glanced back at Malf, who was scratching a scab on his arm, and then sighed.
"I need to know where Longinous kept his files, I know there are hidden in the sewers, you're a member of those who live in the sewers you would know."
Malf lookd at her his eyes wide open that she'd dared ask such a thing.
"You know if I even gave you a hint of the right direction and that came out, there's no where I can go to escape the ass whooping to oblivion that would bring down on me yeah?"
She nodded, not looking at one of the few friends she had in the city. She could tell Malf was looking at her though, deciding if she was serious. She heard him sit back in the chair.
"Well as long as where clear on the subject, you come and save it, if things get out."
Looking back she smiled.
"Thank you Malf."
"Hey its no biggy, I was never that guys biggest fan, too pushy, even for one of the damned. You got a pen? You'll probably want to write this down."
Within five minutes, Malf was walking out the back door, a wave and glance back to Scarlett before turning up onto the street and heading for the road out of the city. Scarlett checked the two pistols now in her jacket pockets, both loaded with Silver rounds, with a extra clip just in case. Vampires she had powers to fight against, but the furry things required an extra kick. Looking at the Aphasia, she had to ponder if she'd see it again, before she walked over to a sewer cover and lifted it up. The smell was bitter and she hated going down there, but she had no choice, only those files had any chance of giving her what she needed. With a growl she dropped and vanished below ground.
.....
Victoria appeared in the alley near to the entrance of the Aphasia Nightclub, a young man gawped at the spiral of shadow and wind that had materilised into a beautiful woman, and could barely move as she walked up to him and tore his throat out with her claws. A Car screeched to a halt out on the road, but she ignored it and headed into the club.
"At last, the time of my release nears." she muttered as she stalked through the corridor into the club itself.
A new smell Ryan had never experienced before assailed his keen nostrils, and he gave pause halfway across the lawn towards the house. The smell of testosterone was nothing new to him, both he and the dead wolf had exuded its aroma, but it was the fact that he could now sense no less than three separate males of his species up ahead, and, with the recklessness of youth, and no higher instincts than that of an animal, Ryan prepared to fight. He shifted onto his hind legs, no longer moving forth on all fours, and began to move with purpose towards the door, heckles raised, teeth bared.
From inside the hideout, Natasha and Amanda watched the young wolfs progress across the lawn with growing interest, and awe. They could see him for the first time in the light of the moon, a luxury previously denied them, and for the first time, the could truly appreciate his size, and obvious strength. He was the Jaws amongst great whites, the Gustav amongst crocodiles, the Nabau amongst snakes. At full height, Ryan stood a head and shoulders over any of the other wolves, and his body rippled with almost unnatural musculature, with a thick mane further accentuating his bulk. However, their glee at their newly acquired weapon of war quickly disappeared when they noticed the way he prepared for a fight; getting pumped, rolling his neck, loosening muscles, claws as black as coal extending...
With a roar of bestial fury, Ryan crashed back onto all fours, and, with a furious leap of unbound energy surging forth from his back legs, he launched himself at the window...
At the same time as Ryan prepared to fight tooth and claw for the right as Alpha male, Holly was first experiencing the agony of a forced transformation. It was worsened by the way she had resisted against it for as long as possible, how she had managed to pull herself away from the mobs of angered citizens even she could not comprehend. But Holly had managed to get down into a dark back alley, away from others, and hopefully, away from prying eyes who might come to the sound of her agonized screams. And scream she did, as the wolf finally tore free, bloody claws ripping freely from her fingertips, her bones shattering and reforming, and her skull reshaping with agonizing speed. It felt like her brain was being compressed into a centimetre cube, and thoughts of bloodlust and unbearable anger took over...
A female wolf, with a faintly blue mane clambered effortlessly to the top of the adjacent building, and there she stood, howling up at the moon, before she turned her baleful eyes to the streets below; teeming with rioters; teeming with food.
.... As Empire City devoured itself in a sea of madness and chaos,a small jet took off from a secluded airport located on the on the outskirts of the city...
The Jet landed in New York at aproximently 7:00 PM,it's cargo quickly loaded into the belly of a private concord jet....at 7:30 PM...the concord...it's pasenger area empty save for a dozen Guards left the runway...on route for Europe..
In the cargo hold bellow Pontius opened his eyes... he stepped from his coffin, seeing the Opriknikki had risen already....Pontius walked to an ornate coffin containing the body of Oliver inside,he ran his hand across the polished lid " Rest my friend...soon you shall rise again.." ..Pontius then turned and with him the Opriknikki accended the stairwell into the main cabin...
At his apearance, the assembled Guards bowed to Pontius...their leader speaking quickly to their lord...
" We are underway my Lord" the man said " Empire City is far behind us...and we shall arive in Prague before dawn..."
Pontius stared at the man nodding "...And the City?...it burns?..."
" Yes my Lord" the man replied " All is going according to plan...the Fallen are in place...and our handlers shall release the Mad one on the Police station on the fall of the sun tomorrow..."
Pontius smiled and seated himself....staring out of the jets small windows towards the ocean..." Those who opposed me...shall now drown in oceans of flame and blood."...
Well...Obviously Pontius has escaped the grasp of both the Hunters and the Werewolves...leaving the city in chaos as he flees...
His plans...Release Sean into the police station to further spread chaos and break the backs of the cops..and to have the Fallen finish the Hunters and Wolves...
Pretty clever of him I'd say....but then...a Vampire doesn't live for thousands of years by being foolish...
.... Bernard Katz sat quietly at his desk, the images of what was transpiring in Empire City flickering before his eyes on both his television and his computer moniter...his phone rang endlessly,a slew of calls from the NBC heads inquiring as to why he'd not sent crews to Empire City...Katz calmly assured them he planned to as soon as he could verify the film crews and reporters could opperate in at least marginal safety...
Finally the call he'd expected came...the call from the Holy Order of Hunters...from the very head of the Order himself...
" I understand your Excelency " Kats said after he'd recieved his orders...Katz hung up the phone and sighed...Empire City was to be purged...but secrecy must be maintained...The Order would not commit any large force of Hunters to the cleansing of the city...Katz would do all within his power to cover up the existance of the unholy creatures as well as the Order itself...a small group would go to help the Hunters already located in Empire...but it was to be known ..they were all expendable...
Katz sighed again...
He pushed a button on his intercom and waited...a voice, deep and gruff answered a moment later..." Yes sir.."
" Assemble your group.." Katz said..." Your to fly into Empire Imediatly...and Link up with Cortez and Bruss...I'll notify them where to meet you..."
" Yes sir" the voice replied...
" ...And Trask..." Katz continued..." The Fallen are in the city...this is an Omega mission...I say again...an Omega mission."
" Understood sir" Trask said..." We will do our duty...for the Order."
Katz switched off the intercom and sighed again...he called Davis in the News room and ordered a camera crew to assemble and head for Empire...giving Davis specific orders of what was expected...
" I want scenes of riots...and human drama.." Katz said calmly..." Under no circumstances are you to attempt to capture images of...the unholy...do you understand..?"
" Yes sir .." Davis answered " surpression mesures will be inacted..."
" Good" Katz said "...We have a gak storm to cover up...let's not blow it..."
OK...some small reinforcement for our Hunters...
Four Hunters from the Order will fly into the City to join the Hunters there...but that's all the help the Network is sending..
Also obviously the major media is inacting a cover up of the "goings on"...
.... In a shower of glass, the picture window in Amanda's living room exploded...
The beast that was Ryan rose to his full hieght ..his long ears brushing the high ceiling of the room as he roared in chalenge of the other wolves...
Davin and Carlos transformed quickly...taking on their wolfish forms and preparing for combat as Lukos transformed and moved closer to Natash in a protective gesture...
Rtan crouched low..ready to spring ...his fangs bared at the two male wolves who were closest to him...
Natasha roared at the two males...ordering them to step away from the huge wolf...reluctently they ceased their advance and moved away...Ryan's glowing eyes fixed on them...his defensive posture never faltering..even as the male wolves retreated to the rear of the room...
Natasha then glanced towards Amanda and the two other female wolves, who had likewise transformed when Ryan had made his entrance...the three female wolves slowly advanced on the huge male...releasing their scent as they did...The huge wolf snapped at Candi, who had drawn closest, the female wolf withdrew slightly..but lowered her head in a show of submission to the big male...the wolf that was Star did the same...moving closer to Ryan...showing her willingness to submit to the powerful wolf..
Ryan looked puzzled for a moment..sniffing at the two females wolves..his combat posture altering slightly...his coiled muscles relaxing ever so much..
Amanda,in her wolfish form advanced last...Ryan tensed slightly...snapping at the female...who snapped back...gently...showing that ..while she would not be dominated by the big male...she was more than open to his advances...
Natasha spoke in the tounge of the wolf to Ryan..." We welcome you amongst us Young one...we are your kindred...and you need not fear us..."
Ryan snarled in reply...his eyes fixing on the female wolves before him..
Again Natasha spoke...her voice calming ..." Those females are yours...they invite you to join with them..."
The wolves that were Candi and Star knelt at Ryan's feet...nuzzling against his powerful legs...Amanda pushed her head against the huge wolfs chest in a gesture of tenderness...
Natasha Motioned for Davin and Carlos to leave the room..and the two males did as they were ordered..
She and Lukos also backed away...allowing the large male to decide if it would accept the advances of the three female wolves...
Ryan once again glanced in the direction of The Wolf Queen..the look of fury that had been in his eyes replaced by one of desire...
With an ear shattering howl...Ryan moved Amanda to the floor where she and the other females greeted him with eagerness and abandon...
.......... ...Difficult keeping things "PG" from that point...suffice to say that Ryan is one happy wolf...
... In the gloom of a basement below the abandoned theater ...Vegas opened her eyes...wincing at the pain that flaired in her head...
She tried to focus...but found she could see very little in the darkness around her...she was only aware that she'd been bound and was unable to move...
" What the hell..." she muttered tugging at the cuffs at her wrist..." Not good.."
She thought back...she'd attempted to meet Andy and the others at the Museum...but had been delayed in the mass of trafic in Empire city...arriving at the Museum to find they had left...she sped for the farm...
She'd arrived there just as the entire structure had exploded in flames...and...
Something had struck her from behind...something or someone...she didn't remember anything after that, but judging by her present situation...things were looking grim...
Someone had destroyed the Hunters headqaurters...and that same someone had obviously taken her captive...
Vegas strained to hear any sounds around her...but could make out only a steady hum of a generator somewhere nearby...
" I'm fethed" she thought to herself...
A moment later a lights came on around her....she squinted against their brightness...but tried to focus on the shapes that moved through the door at the other end of the room...
A tall man...dressed in black with a shaved head entered and smiled at her...almost pleasently...." Ah...I see you've come round.." the bald man said " Wonderful..."
" Who the feth are you..?!" Vegas said " ..And what the feth have you done to the others..?"
The man paused..." Others?...oh..you must mean your fellow Hunters...why..I've killed those at your farm...and with your assistance will bring the remaining Hunters here...to perish as well." The man smiled large and merry " As to who I am...you may call me Chadwick...I am certian you know my Lord...Pontius of the House Bruti..yes.?"
Vegas spat.." Filthy bastard!!..Untie me!!"
" Now..why on earth would I do that..?" Chadwick said " No No my dear...there you are bound...and there you shall remain...most likely for the rest of your life.." he smiled again...
Vegas glared at the man as he pulled a wheeled cart closer to her...he busily began setting up a video camera in front of her while he cheerfully whistled..
" Now my dear.." Chadwick said..." The fun begins..."
Turning on the camera the bald man stood before it..." Greetings to you ...Hunters of the...Holy Order... I represent the One whom you seek...I most cheerfully inform you all that My Lord is well out of your grasp...but please...don't let that keep you from your intended visit...My Lord has left others who shall be more than happy to...attend to you.." the bald man laughed..." ...And...as an added incentive...We have one of your own...here with us..." the camera moved to Vegas..who was bound on a medevil tourture wrack..." She is alive for now..and will be....until Tomorrow night at midnight..."
" Stay away!!" Vegas yelled.." It's a trap!!!"..
Chadwick laughed..." Oh...indeed it is...but if you wish to save your fellow...than it's a trap you must enter...remember midnight tomorrow...she dies..until then...We shall entertain ourselves with this wretched little fool..."
The bald man lifted a long curved dagger from the table before him and walked casually to where Vegas was bound...he slowly drew the blade down the woman's face...splitting the flesh open...Vegas screamed.
" See you soon.." The man smiled as the image went black..
Crawling through the three foot high sewer pipe, Scarlett did her best to ignore the filth she was pulling herself through. Malf had warned her it wouldn't be a plesent trip, but she needed to find out what she could. As she reached the opening at the far end, she could see a large pool of sewage twenty feet below. A quick glance at the far wall, and she could see a walkway that lead to a doorway. With a sigh she was thankful she had reach her destination.
Glancing back at the muck below, she could only grumble as she slipped out of the pipe and fell the twenty feet striking the water with a loud splosh.
Pulling herself up onto the walkway she cringed at the smells that lingered under her nostrils and moved over to the door. Entering the keypad code Malr had proveded her she was thankful the door just beeped and swung inwards, before heading inside. As she walked forward she noted the steel grate she was treading across, and then heard a clunk under her foot as a large pressure plate sank half an inch. She gasped as the barrel of water above turned and showered her with a gallon of stale water.
She shook her hair, half wondering if it was acid or some such, but after a couple of moments and no further attack came she guessed it was some kind of bizarre shower device after passing through the mire to get here.
Walking on she quickly reached the end of the corridor and found the inner doorway. She glanced back at the room behind her, the sound of the water as a pipe emptied its contents into the pool. Shaking off any nerves, she enterd the second code, the second door also opened, and without another thought she dived inside.
.....
Victoria dragged the screaming woman by the throat from the burning building yanking her along the tarmac of the rear alley before she stopped and looked back at her handy work. The Aphasia was ablaze and the few people that had tried to hide there has regretted it, feeling full once again, Victoria pulled the woman up to head height. Looking at the bartender she could smell Elizabeth's taint upon her and her eyes narrowed as she glared at her.
"What is your name Thrall?" she asked angrily.
"S..S..Sandra" the Vampire tainted Human gasped.
Victoria squeezed the woman's throat with her fingers, straining the womans neck muscles and causing her to gasp for breath, a panic in her eyes as Victoria glared back with a dark rage. She had expected the chase to be finally over, but no. Elizabeth had once again run, disappearing into the shadows, but this time she was still close, she hadn't yet left the city.
"Where is your mistress?" She growled.
"Go.. to .. Hell!" spat Sandra barely able to breathe.
Victoria laughed and stoped the airflow with a tightening of her grip. "I get that alot." she mused as Sandra kicked out in panic trying to find a breath. Victoria watched as the eyes of the Human begain to roll back, then in that moment Victoria paused and lessened her hold. Sandra took a rasping breath, trying to get air back into her lungs.
Victoria walked two steps forward still holding Sandra by the throat as her gaze settled upon the open manhole cover across the alley. Walking up to it she dragged Sandra along the ground, and peered down into the gloom a smile forming across her lips.
"Mmm, the chase in upon us." she whispered gleefully.
As she went to drop into the darkness, she paused and glanced down at Sandra.
"Oh, I almost forgot about you." She said with a smile, Sandra's eyes opened wide in Horror as Victoria's face shifted, and a bone chilling scream echoed across the streets around the Aphasia.
Dez's phone rang, and Miranda immediately looked at him.
"Who is it?" she asked quickly.
"Uh... I'll check," he said, as he pulled out his mobile to see who the caller was. "Oh my God, It's Rachel."
He answered the call, and spoke into the phone.
"Rachel! Rachel! Are you there!?" he asked urgently.
"Yes," she replied, her voice weak and trembling. "I'm okay."
"Where's Uncle Richard?!"
"Dead," she said, the sound of her crying coming through the phone. "He told me to run, and I did, but, but, he stayed and made sure they wouldn't come after me. They killed him Dez! They f**king killed him!"
The color drained from his face, and he felt anger course through him. The last living relative he had was dead, and those who did it were going to pay, and he would be the one to make them feel pain.
"Okay, where are you?" he asked, his voice cold.
"Uhh, just outside the city I think. I'll send you my position."
@ MDS...Nice one man...I assume Scarlett is entering the derilect theater...or would I be incorrect?
@ Kais...I'd think the best way for Rachel to rejoin the group of Hunters would be to make it to the NBC building and link up there...I'm sure being a Hunter herself she is capable of stealing a car..
@ Larkin...I may have a event for your little group forth coming ...stay tuned.
Scarlett walked slowly through the small underground chambers that the 'Sewer' Vampires had called home, she had no idea where they had gone, maybe Malf was not the only one taking their leave of Empire City, maybe they where on the suface enjoying the chaos. Whatever their fate, they where not here, she was quite certain down in the depths she was alone.
As she walked she noted the furniture of the Vampires, the odd table and chairs, a near worn out sofa seat, a broken wireless from the fifties. The place was like a monument to sixty years ago. As she reached the end of the chamber she lifted up the crumpled note and checked what Malf had written. Looking up she could see the anti-chamber he'd noted and walked quickly over, opening the door slowly before heading down several steps to a small box corridor. A lone door stood before her, walking up to it she felt around the edge like she had been told. Finding the hidden switch she clicked it twice and stepped back as the door swung out towards her.
The room was small, no more than ten feet by twelve and it was littered with shelves, and boxes, piles of parchment, folders and in the corner sat a antique looking computer. Sitting on the soft woodern chair she pressed the monitor button and watched at the screen before her began focusing into view, as she waited she noted a strange jar nect to the machine. She lifted it, unscrewed the top and glanced in, then quickly closed it with a frown. Longinous obviously had a back up plan to destroy the room if things went wrong but Greek fire seemed a little bit of overkill. Returning her gaze to the computer dozen's of files sat on the start screen, she spotted one noted as 'Dangerous' and clicked on it before she even spared a thought.
A number of folders appeared, names she recognised, Pontius of House Brutii, Salshala of Cathage, Diana Phanthiakios, Eldren the Mad to name a few, eventually she spotted it. Victoria? the question mark seemed an odd addition to the folder, she clicked on it and stared at the very basic info. It hinted she was old, older than most and had powers no other Vampires seemed to share, her name was not Victoria, it seemed Longinous had tried to track down who she really was, but the trail ran cold in ancient Babylon. There was nothing, nothing else.
Scarlett groaned and struck the desk with her closed fist in frustration, another dead end it was useless, she'd. She stopped and stared at the folder sitting on the pile of boxes to her left. the name was familiar to her.
"Daniel Thynne." She whispered slowly.
She lifted up the folder and opened it. The name of her Sire, the Vampire who had cursed her hundreads of years earlier, his file sitting on top of the rest. She read down and opened her mouth in shock, that couldn't be right, Longinous had to be wrong.
"Trying to find out who I am?"
Scarlett froze for a moment, then looked back at Victoria leaning against the doorframe of the chamber, a slight smile on her lips.
[edit - I'm adding something in there if I'm honest, Suggestng Longinous had something hidden away from others who knew him, down with Vamps living in the sewers. I could modify if no good, or it could be directly under the theatre if you'd like to tie it in?
Have another post I plan on adding later, at which point I'll be handing Scarlett's fate over to you before I can post again. ]

Andy's phone buzzed with a new text message from the network. He was beginning to curse his phone when another message followed shortly after, this one was from the network as well but came from somebody else judging by the number. Andy opened his phone and handed it to Miranda so she could read it while he drove.
Miranda fumbled with the phone and opened the first message from the network, her face was set like stone when she read about the videotape the network had been sent, the tape with Vegas being held hostage. The second message told them to meet a team of hunters arriving by chopper, it was a suppression team of veritable badasses.
"I have good news, bad news, and worse news." Miranda told Andy as she closed the phone.
"Alright, spill it." Andy said, preparing for what Miranda would say.
"The good news is we have some reinforcements coming and we know where Vegas is." Miranda said quietly.
"And the bad news?" Andy's grip tightened.
"Our reinforcements consist of only one suppression squad." Miranda had a series of mixed feelings in her voice.
"What's the worse news?" Andy could predict something, "Vegas is dead?"
"No, she's being held in Ponitus's lair as a hostage." Miranda grabbed the handle above the door as Andy skidded the truck to the side of the road.
"What!" he shouted.
"She's in the theater and unless we go there she dies tonight." Miranda added.
Andy slammed his fist on the steering wheel several times, the horn blared with each blow.
"What about Pontius?" Andy asked after calming down.
"Gone." Miranda said, "According to the video he left, we don't know where or how, but he's gone." her face looked like she was holding something back.
"What else?" Andy rested his forehead against the steering wheel.
"The order says we're expendable and we need to purge at all costs." Miranda said flatly, "The guys coming are under the command of a friend of mine, he's tough and knows what he's doing."
"I don't care who's coming." Andy didn't move his head, "We have to go in there now instead of blowing it up. Instead of losing and falling back we get to fight and die and still lose. We can't get pontius, and we're going up against an assembly of ancients."
"Ancients?" Dez asked from the back seat, "How do you know?"
"Danny was doing some research on them before he turned sides." Andy sat up slowly, "They're called the Fallen, and Pontius has screwed us sideways before running away."
"So... we're screwed?" Dez asked again.
"Yep, our hand's been forced my friend." Andy put the truck back into gear and pulled back onto the road and began to head towards the NBC building to meet with the tactical squad arriving.
......................................
Andy, Miranda, and Dez waited on the roof of the building and over the din of the riots below they could hear the 'whump' of the chopper's blades as it approached the roof. The city had gone to hell and the fires spreading seemed to mimic the paintings of hell that hung in various museums. As the chopper landed he noticed several figures moving inside and soon a large black man hopped out, severely ducking to avoid the blades. Another older man followed him out and approached the trio, hand outreached.
"Trask." he said gripping Andy's hand.
"Andy, Andy Bruss." Andy replied, his hand hurting a bit from Trask's grip.
"Good to see you again Derek." Miranda said as she also shook Derek's hand.
"Always a pleasure Miranda." Derek looked at the motley group of hunters, "What's going on?"
"Another hunter's been taken hostage, most of the hunters here are missing or dead, and we have a group of ancients hiding in a theater." Andy stated flatly.
"Where is this theater from here?" Derek asked and looked at Dez.
"About 15 blocks away," Andy noticed Derek looking at Dez, "That's Dez, he just got here and his Uncle and girlfriend are missing. We have some weapons to show you."
"Weapons, we have weapons." Derek replied as the giant approached them.
"We have a sword that kills vampires, a dagger that kills wolves, and a crossbow that kills anything with 'dead' in its name." Andy said.
"What about the dagger for use against vampires?" Derek asked.
"With the hunter being held hostage." Andy reported, he could see a slight look of disbelief in Derek's face.
"The pilot says he's about to take off." the giant told Derek before grabbing the hands of each of the hunters and introducing himself, "Name's Jimbo, we heard you folks were having a bit of a problem so we came to help you out." a smile stretched across the man's face.
"Who else is with you guys." Andy asked as he tried to look around Jimbo.
"We have Smalls, our neighborhood sniper, and we also have little Wendy, our whirling dervish." Jimbo pointed his large hands at the respective forms of who he was introducing, "By whirling dervish, I mean she cuts vamps up real nice."
The group walked down to the garage to embark to the theater.
Dez's phone rang, and suddenly everybody looked at him.
"Who is it?" Miranda asked quickly.
"Uhh, just outside the city I think."
"Okay, I'll send you my position, and you can come here to meet us. Just be quick. Love you."
OOC: Can we postpone the whole beating up shenanigans for tomorrow? I have a post I want to include but I have no time tonight. I'm giving something personal one more do or die attempt, and then I'm done. Catch you on the flip side.
@ Nachos & Kais...just so you know...you don't have to rush to the theater imediatly...Chadwick gave the Hunters 24 hours to show...The Hunter reinforcements landed around Midnight....you guys have until Midnight the following day to attempt rescue.
Scarlett stared at Victoria her mouth agape with shock to be this close to her enemy once again. Her mind was racing after imagining this meeting for oh so long, but all she could think about was Olivia's final gasp before she decayed to dust in the grip of Victoria. She feel the anger burn in her blood and her cheeks flushed red as her heart pumped the blood in her system on impulse.
"Upset still? Oh dearest I killed that brat over five hundred years ago. You really need to find some perspective."
"Don't call me that, you lied to us, you..."
Victoria sharp laugh cut Scarlett off, and the Elder Vampire stepped over to a pile of documents, picking up a folder and tossing it over her shoulder as she sat down on the stool beneath.
"You try to label me with Human emotion, you are still a childe yourself, you have not learned to steel yourself from their pathetic concerns."
"You killed my love!" Scarlett snarled.
Scarlett watched as Victoria's lip curled in anger and she felt the the sudden force of a impact as Victoria pinned her to the table by the throat, she hadn't even seen her move. She tried to fight her off but the Elder was too strong, Victoria placed her knee on Scarletts abdomen and leant back towering over her with a quickly forming sneer.
"There is no love you foolish girl, there never has been, its all a trick to hold this fractured world together, you shame yourself as one of the blood for clinging to something so weak."
"You have no heart" Scarlett spat trying to force her off to no avail.
Victoria paused as if thinking the question over in her mind, her eyes darkening.
"You don't need one when everything you know betrays you. You really want to know who I am childe, where this old blood comes from?"
Scarlett didn't answer, she just sat there frozen as Victoria lifted herself off and stalked over to the doorway. Victoria looked back, her eyes narrowing.
"It was a punishment for doing a deal with a arrogant fool, I have suffered with this curse for too long. I can barely remember those old days, before when I called a home in Shadow, in a place I have long since forgotten they called me Lilith." she said quietly, malice twisting in the air as she uttered the name.
"That cannot be."
"Oh I assure you it is, and Humanity will find its reliance on the blood of Adam to be their undoing. That would be where you come in."
Scarlett looked at Victoria as she moved back toward her slowly. She could see the hunger in her eyes.
"What did you do to me?"
Victoria chuckled as she stepped forward, a shake of the head to taunt her and let her know she was still clutching at straws, she was wrong. Her mind tried to find a solution, there was no chance to defeat her directly, and her eyes strayed on her sires folder. She stared at it as the information within struck her, and her head snapped back to glare at Victoria.
"Longinous was right, this isn't about me, its about my sire."
Victoria stopped her advance and laughed as she drew the shadows in from the corners of the room. She focused on a small shadow that spiralled into her palm and elogated into a thin blade.
"Yes, this is about your Sire. I could not track him down, no one has been able to, but with the boon I granted you via the mark, much like your brothers and sisters I have already reclaimed, the blood is strong enough to release my curse."
Scarlett looked down at the mark touching the serpent.
"This was to make me stronger?"
Victoria grinned.
"With the boon the blood combined with the blood of all the others he had embraced, grants me enough strength to shatter the bonds placed upon me. I should have never made that deal with him, he changes his name with the winds, he hides in places I cannot find, pehaps part of my curse. It had taken me centuries, but you dear Elizabeth are the last of Caine's direct childer."
Scarlett couldn't take it in, it seemed madness, she was a toy to older creatures beyond her comprehension, she could see Victoria's muscles tense.
"The game ends Elizabeth. My dearest, it is time for me to return home and once there I will track that cur down for his 'little' deal that cursed me and I shall make all the children of Adam pay for the humiliation I have suffered."
Scarlett burned the blood in her veins and darted up as Victoria lunged forward, she snatched out and grasped the jar, jumping above the shadow blade that shattered the monitor behind her and kicked off the wall above the computer table as Victoria crashed through it.
Landing behind the Elder and near the door she threw the jar and drew a pistol, as Victoria turned she focused on the jar sailing towards her chest with a look of confusion. A lone pistol shot rang out and the room exploded with flame.
Scarlett scrambled up the stairs, the screaming from below echoed up after her and she ran for the exit burning blood to enhance her speed. Shadows suddenly slashed out, tripping her, but missed with direct strikes. Pulling herself up onto her knees she turned back to see wind and shadow blatting out the flames on Victoria as she staggered forward out of the blazing room below, as the flames died out the wind and shadow seemed to fall away.
Scarlett could see Victoria was badly burned across the neck, chest and the left side of her face. The elder screamed out with a mixture of anger and pain as she tried to clench her burned fingers. Fire was spreading into the chamber through the doorway and Scarlett watched fearfully as her ancient foe tried to draw the shadows in around her again.
Nothing was happening, Victoria's brow furrowed with concentration, but still they didn't come.
"No matter I can defeat you without them!"
Scarlett felt trapped in a heartbeat, a moment of throught, if she ran Victoria, Lilith would keep coming, she now knew she was more than a Vampire, this had to end one way or the other. This was the best chance she would ever have. She let a vision of Olivia's face cross her mind and then with a scream of anger she lunged forward toward Victoria, the two Vampires focused on the destruction of the other as they charged fangs bared.
[There you go FITZZ, fates in your hands now, due to the massive damage Victoria just took, which would have killed a lesser Vampire, for a short while at least they are on an equal standing.
I look forward to seeing the result of the combat. ]
.... Her rage fully unleashed,Scarlett drove forward against Victoria pinning the surprised elder against a now smoldering wall..." This ends now!!" she roared tearing at her makers throat...
Victoria recoiled quickly...a look of almost human fear passing over her features for a brief instant, the childe had actually startled her ..and managed, amazingly to hurt her...she one again attempted to draw on her powers...trying to pull forth the shadows to aid her...but the flames had weakened her...and to her surprise..the childe struck again...
Victoria found herself crashing onto the stairwell...." This ..can not be.." she whispered to herself...moving swiftly to her feet, she turned as Scarlett pressed her advantage forward, landing alongside her and lashing out once again...
The elder vampire managed to dodge the younger ones blow and summoning all of her streagth ,struck out at the impuetent childe who dared to lay hands on her...
Scarlett felt herself thrown back as if struck by a runaway freight train...the agony exploded inside her as she collided with a stone wall and rebounded onto the now smouldering staircase, lifting her head feeling the blood stream from her mouth she saw Victoria advancing towards her...the elders face twisted into a mask of fury and hate...Scarlett found she did not care..."let it end.." she thought to herself..."let it all end..."
" On your feet my dearest.." Victoria spat..her fangs bared...her eyes alight with malice..." It is time ...time you discover your place in the grand scheme of things..." Victoria's eyes narrowed as Scarlett rose to her feet...glaring at the elder.." Come then...!!" Scarlett bellowed in defiance...Victoria smiled and took a step forward...
...With a thunderous crash...the stairwell before Scarlett collapsed in a searing flash of flame and smoke...for a brief instant...Victoria hung suspended in air...a dark angel held aloft above a swirling sea of flame...her eyes glared into Scarlett's marking her..pierceing her very soul...then Victoria was falling...slowly into the flames bellow...with one last look into Scarlett's eyes...she disappeared into the fire...
Scarlett pushed her self back...attempting to reach the safety of the concrette area above...she managed one shaky step...then the remaining stairs bellow her fell away...and she felt the inferno bellow licking at her body as she began to fall...
The world around her moved as though frozen...she hung above the flames...accutely aware of their searing embrace...the sounds of wood scorching and popping drifted through her ears...the pain of the flames enveloping her didn't matter anymore...it was over...it was done....Scarlett closed her eyes...prepared to meet the flames...
...Then...she felt herself rising....rapidly...a small window exploding around her as suddenly she was drawn into the cool night air...the agony of her seared flesh ripping through her as the winds battered her form..." ...Angels?..." Scarlett thought briefly..."surely not..."....she opened her eyes..
A powerful hand was clasped round her wrist....she saw that the form holding her was moving high above Empire City...perhaps it was Victoria...perhaps she had escaped the flames...Scarlett once again found she didn't care...
....Her eyes opened...how much later she could not say....she knew only that she was in a dimly lit room...laying on an antique sofa...
" Rest childe.." a voice came drifting to her...Not Victoria...Scarlett thought...but an ancient...she could sense it...Scarlett forced her self to sit...the pain wracking her body...
" I said you should rest...but I see you will be difficult.." The voice sighed..." Like all children I suppose..."
" Who...where.." Scarlett whispered...her head pounding...
" Where..?...My home...one of my homes is what I should say...Who?...I am Nero..I witnessed your...confrontation with Lilith...and...felt I would...aid you.." said the voice..
" Destroyed...she is destroyed.." Scarlett said...
" No...no childe...she continues.." Answered Nero
Scarlett stared up at the ancient..." She went into the flames...I saw her..."
" Lilith endured much worse in the past...and emerged from it...she will do the same this time as well...though...for now...she will retreat to heal..." Nero said.." In the meantime...you must regain your streagth.." the ancient Vampire tore at his wrist and offered it to Scarlett...she stared at the crimson flowing from the ripped flesh for a moment...then wrapped her lips around the wound...feeling power surge through her...
After a moment,Nero pulled away.."enough childe...that's quite enough for you.."
Scarlett stared at the ancient..." You say Victoria is alive...how do you know...?"
Nero laughed..." I know childe...I feel her..." he handed Scarlett a stack of charred folders...." I belive these were of some interest to you...perhaps they still are..."
Scarlett looked at the folders containing the information she'd been seeking and slowly took them from Nero...
" Rest now childe.." The ancient said..." You will be safe here...I must go for a while...but I shall return shortly..."
" But I.." Scarlett began....but Nero was gone already...
Scarlett closed her eyes....she could feel herself healing ...she would rest for now...
Ok...Combat done...
Victoria is burnt to a crisp...but still alive, she managed to escape the flames and is now hidden away healing...will she return.???...that remains to be seen...
Scarlett suffered 2 wounds...one from Victoria's vicious blow and one from being badly burned...but is already on the mend thanks to the infusion of Nero's blood...
...And...speaking of Nero....is he friend or foe to Scarlett?...that to remains to be discovered....
Scarlett lay in her thoughts as she felt the blood slowly knit her wounds back together, Nero's blood was very potent and for his aid she was thankful. She was not sure why, but she could cross that bridge another night, had he wanted her dead, she would be so already.
She'd done it, for this first time since this whole madness had begun, she had stood up against her ancient foe, not just stood up, she had defeated her. It felt good to have driven her back into the dark, now it was her turn to lay in the depths of the shadow, trying to repair grevious wounds. This probably wasn't the end, she guessed nero was correct in his knowledge, but this time she finally knew the truth. Victoria, no, Lilith, she had time to prepare, to learn a better way of standing against her and maybe the next time, it would be Lilith's ashes scattering to the winds.
As her mind skipped into the murkiness of sleep, she pondered Nero, she now owed him a big favour, but that could wait for a new dusk, she needed time to heal, for this first time in centuries, she could truly rest.
[Cheers for that write up FITZZ, awesome stuff.
I'm so glad Scarlett survived the fight, hopefully with some luck, she'll see the second Blood Moon story yet. ]
"So, we'll toss some grenades in before we move in. Miranda said she had some stuff made for vamps especially." Andy pointed to a blueprint of the theater.
"Hmmm..." Trask's thumb settled below his chin, "and you said something about flashbangs?"
"Yes." Andy settled back in a chair, "We were ambushed by some vamps and they were using some sort of mind control. Vegas and I were protected by our talismans, Colt on the other hand... got possessed. I threw a flashbang and it disoriented the hell out of the vamp so much he left his gas form."
"That's always the worst possible threat." Trask placed both hands on the table as he looked over the map, "Those ancients learn some deadly tricks, make it real difficult to get at them."
"I wanted to blow the place to hell, hopefully collapse it on top of them and hold them long enough for the sun to rise." Andy said, "But with them holding a hunter hostage I'm not too sure."
"You attracted to her?" Trask asked.
"Not really." Andy shrugged.
"Then let's blow the building." Trask eyed Andy.
"...Its not that." Andy paused, "Its the fact that I lost nearly an entire chapter the first night I took charge, that and I promised her that we'll take out Pontius to make up for Colt's death."
"So, you want to keep her alive so you can get revenge?" Trask shook his head, "We do a serious job here, we're not here to get revenge or for personal goals."
"My goals the same as yours." Andy looked Trask in the eyes, "I just have different methods of achieving it. Sure the Order says that our lives of expendable, but just because the farm's for sale it doesn't mean we have to buy it."
"I'm with him on that one Trask." Jimbo chuckled, "I don't want to bale hay for all of eternity."
"It's safer to blow up the building and save all of our lives than to risk all of our lives for her's you know." Trask tried to find out if Andy had a conflict of interest in the situation.
"I don't have the right to make her buy the farm for us, that's for her to decide." Andy replied and sat forward, his hands emphasising his points, "I don't want to blow the building up, not because I'm in fething love with her. I don't want to blow it up because now I want to make sure that those vamps don't leave with any information. That and I know she's going to be fething pissed and up for round two should we get out of this thing alive."
"Still hard to see how you can say that you want to try to keep us all safe and then turn around and say you want to risk all of our lives for one." Trask shook his head again.
"Well." Andy leaned closer to the table, "A bomb can't tell us that every vampire was killed, it can't tell us what information they may have learned, and it sure as hell can't guarantee a 100% success rate. I made this plan in desperation, remember it was only the kid, Miranda, and myself against a group of ancients. Hell if you guys hadn't come along I may have been forced to blow the building up with her inside. It would've been hard, but it would've been the best option."
"We'll go ahead and go in." Trask sighed, "You're right about making sure that everyone of those vampires is killed. I hope that you're not infatuated with this girl, it affects judgement and gets people killed."
"So what if the guy's in love?" Jimbo clapped his large hand on Andy's back, "He's right about not having the right to sentence her to death, and hell a damsel in distress is a nice incentive."
"Ahem." Wendy got their attention and pointed to herself.
"We never have to rescue you Wendy my dear." Jimbo smiled.
"Well the fact that you haven't asked Smalls or I about our thoughts about this is what bothers me." Wendy crossed her arms.
"Well?" Andy asked.
"We agree." Wendy looked at Smalls who just nodded.
"Does he ever talk?" Andy whispered to Jimbo.
"He's a bit shy around new people, but he does his job with no problem." Jimbo said.
"So what now?" Trask interjected.
"We wait." Miranda entered the garage with Dez, "He got into contact with Rachel so we'll wait for her to get here. In the mean time we can get just relax, I'm sure your trip here wasn't exactly restful."
"Good idea." Jimbo sat down and kicked the chair back on its rear two legs, "That helicopter was cramped."
"Anything's cramped to you." Wendy joked as she also sat down and winked at Andy.
"Did you catch that?" Andy whispered to Miranda, "I think she has a thing for me and we've known each other for a whole twenty minutes."
"Don't be so conceited." Miranda said as she walked away to talk with Derek.
Dez sat i the corner, alone. He heard Andy talking about how he promised Vegas that they would get revenge for Colt, and that is exactly the same thing he wanted. Once again, he was called "the new kid" which was really starting to piss him off. But the one thing he was happy about was that Rachel was alive. Heck, he would be way too reckless if she was dead, and she loved her, which would make it hard to let go. But she was alive, and coming to them right now.
Dez shifted uncomfortably while a thought popped into his head that something could happen to her on the way. Or maybe the vampires were using her to be able to get to him and the other hunters. He shook his head and the thoughts away, they would not help him right now.
The truth was that Rachel was alright, and was coming to help them to destroy the vampires who killed his Uncle.
The group had been sitting around, chatting for awhile and waiting for Rachel. Most of the group used it for recreation; relaxing and talking with each other. Derek and Miranda had wandered off somewhere, presumably to discuss tactics and Derek had told Andy to tell him when Rachel got there as soon as she did.
The station's garage held several news vans, some four door sedans of various colors, and one tow truck next to the hunter's truck and Miranda's van. Dez sat alone in the corner, looking upset about something. Andy figured that not knowing where a loved one is in the riots outside would have that effect on someone. Andy had his own worries though, they would be assaulting a building where the vampires inside knew that they were coming. It was a trap, the vampire in the video acknowledged that fact. Andy began to wonder if Pontius had planned for the hunters to be killed or if he had wanted to capture them and torture them. The thought made Andy shudder, he tortured traitors and those who followed them, but he only had four or so years of experience with it. These ancients probably had countless years of dealing with captives.
Hey Jimbo?" Andy walked over to the giant as he laid in his chair propped up against the wall.
"What can I help you with friend?" Jimbo opened his eyes and smiled.
"Any of your group know how to wire explosives with other electronics?" Andy stood next to Jimbo who sat up in his chair.
"Like a bomb with a cellphone or something?" Jimbo asked.
"I mean something like a pulse sensor." Andy motioned for him to follow and walked over to Miranda's van. AS he opened the door Jimbo's eyes widened.
"Holy hell friend," Jimbo eyed the thermobaric bomb inside the van, "that'll take out entire city blocks."
"It sure will," Andy nodded in agreement, "this is the bomb I'm talking about."
"Andy, you want it rigged to blow with heartbeat sensors?" Jimbo asked as he looked over the bomb.
"Yes." Andy said.
"Why on Earth do you want that?" Jimbo crossed his arms and thought about how they would rig it.
"We don't know what the vamps want to do with us." Andy looked directly at JImbo as he continued to examine the bomb, "If they want to kill us then they can get away, but if we rig the bomb to blow when none of us has a pulse anymore it should get them."
"Alright, we need some sensors though, a sporting goods store should have something we can use." Jimbo nodded as he began to back away from the bomb.
"I also want a timer on it." Andy quickly added, "In case they capture us it'll make sure we die quickly and of course maybe take them with us."
"You'll have to talk to Derek about the timer." Jimbo smiled, "He's good with determining the time it takes to get the job done, he's like Big Ben you know."
"No problem, I'll talk to him about it when Rachel gets here and we finalize some plans." Andy closed the van doors with a whump and let Jimbo get back to laying back in his chair.
...Natasha stood close to Lukos gazing at the now slumbering form of the huge wolf, the two smaller females curled up close to him...
" What shall we do with him now?" Lukos inquired of Natasha, who simply smiled..." We let him rest" she said.." If he departs upon rising...then so be it...one of the females is sure to bear a pure blood sired by him...perhaps they all will"
" ...And should he attack?." Lukos asked staring at the woman.
Natasha laughed " Lukos..certianly you aren't concerned about a mere pup....even one such as ...large as this one.."
"No my queen " Lukos answered " I simply wished to know what you would have us do ....if he becomes a ...problem.."
" If that time comes...I shall deal with him myself....but instict tells me he should adapt ..." Natasha cut her eyes over to Carlos and Davin who were sitting sullenly in a far corner nibbling on the shredded arms of one of the butchered prostitutes as though they were turkey legs..." That is if those two pups don't provoke him.." she continued.
Amanda joined them, catching the end of Natasha's observations..." Don't concern yourself with them" Amanda said " They'll be good little pups..won't you boys?" she inquired jestingly to the two feeding wolves...
" ...Sure...no problem..." Davin said continuing his feast..
But Carlos stood..." I don't like it...the females were ours...and.."
Amanda lashed out...clawing Carlos left eye from it's socket " You will keep your place!!!" she growled..
The big man yelped clasping his hands over the gushing hole where his eye had been and stumbling backwards rapidly...
" I won't be so kind the next time I have to correct you Carlos.." Amanda smiled popping the mans eye into her mouth..." I promise you that.."
The man glared ta Amanda with his remaining eye but kept his mouth closed..
" That's a good boy...go feed...and don't worry about the females...after the Blood Moon...there will be plenty more for you to pick from" said Amanda..
Carlos grudgingly returned to his seat and began to feed again..pausing now and again to wipe at the blood that flowed from his ruined eye socket....
Natasha gathered Lukos and Amanda and sat at the large table..." I know of the location in which Pontius has supposedly taken refuge." Natasha said.." An abandoned theater in Empire City's downtown area..."
" Are you certian that leech is there?" Amanda asked excitement growing in her voice...
" No.." Natasha admitted .." But ...it will be our first target for tomorrow night...after it's been properly scouted of course..."
Lukos smiled .." And I know just the ..scouts we should send..."
Natasha nodded and smiled...
Violence and terror permeated the air like a dark perfume, soaking into the streets and driving the mobs on to greater acts of aggression. Few havens of order existed in the cauldron of black emotions, the few sane places that held out against the disturbed masses of Humanity. The Empire City police station was one of them, surrounded by SWAT officers and riot police, serving as a bastion of sanity in the sea of madness. The choking smog of ash and scorched wood and paper blanketed the city like the embrace of a forceful lover, smothering the life of it's partner. The officers inside planned and worried, attempting to map the tide of chaos that had engulfed their fair city, a futile attempt that yielded no results. Officer McCullen rubbed her forehead, wiping a greasy layer of sweat from her brow as she listened intently to the radio reports. Things looked grim, the riot police had been driven off or killed in many locations, and some reports stated that several officers had even joined the seething throng. The officer sighed. In all her years of service, the last few days took the cake. A rash of strange murders seemed to be the work of werewolves and vampires, and if it was to be believed, Pinkerton himself had been transformed into a vampire himself. True or not, the riots were clearly organized to hit the city where it hurt the most. Virtually all business had been forced to close, shutting down the Empire City economy. Then the fires had started, stripping the city to a charred skeleton, ruining countless lives, and killing just as many. It seemed as if Hell had been unleashed upon Empire City, an all consuming vortex of hatred that threatened to sweep away all that they had achieved. McCullen stared blankly at the wall as the too familiar sound of screaming echoed through the station. A second later, she was out of her chair, her sidearm drawn. The screams came not from the radio, but from outside the station. Through the windows, darkness reigned, the ash and soot of the burning city swirled about like a dervish, blinding those inside to events beyond. The skull-thumping beat of machine guns firing, and a sound not unlike a bag of wet gravel slapping the pavement echoed throughout the building. The doors burst open, and the mangled body of a SWAT officer flew inside, his bowels hanging like morbid snakes from his gut. The acrid smoke trickled inside, darkening the station. Following the body through the door was a mob of men and women, each unnaturally pale and covered in gore, their eyes blazing with madness. Officer Hershell was set upon by a pretty blonde, who fell upon him in a frenzy of biting and clawing, flaying the policeman alive. McCullen raised her pistol and fired, taking a middle-aged man in the center mass, knocking him backwards, but not stopping him. Her fellow officers were in disarray, easy prey for shambling mob, which sank fangs into their throats and drank greedily of their Vitae before finding another victim. The man continued his charge, leaping into the air with surprising speed, knocking McCullen to the floor. Raising her pistol, she blew off his face in a gory smear of blood and bone, but the creature seemed not to notice, and lowered it's ruined face to sink it's fangs into her neck. She screamed as the skull-blades slid into place, the monster's tongue lapping up the gouts of blood that spurted from her wounds. Her body was unwilling to resist, her lifeblood had fled her, and the creature tore her throat open in search of the crimson ichor. Weakly, McCullen tried to push it off to no avail. Her vision dimmed, and with a ragged wheeze, life fled her.
Holly opened her eyes. White light stung her eyes, brighter than she could see. Squinting carefully, Holly began to make out shapes, all around her. Blurred bodies sharpened into focus, revealing a grisly scene of horrific proportions. She was lying on her back on a metal table, cold to the touch, and smelling strongly of antibacterial wash. Blinking again, the source of the light was revealed to be a large lamp hanging just above her, flooding her body with luminescence. Where was she? Holly slowly turned her head to the left, and could make out... a large black bag - about 6 feet in length, and with a thick steel zip from the bottom all the way to the top. A body bag, with someone occupying it. Looking to the right, she was met with a similar sight; a man half enveloped with a body bag, his skin pale with the clamour of death, his entire head missing, a slick of dried blood crusted around the ragged tear at the top of his neck. A worse sight was the smaller bag lying next to him, presumably holding his head. Scared, and worried for her life, Holly sat up with a start, throwing the thin sheet covering her from her body, and clutched at her arms, shivering uncontrollably. Her surroundings became fully aware to her now the light was out of her eyes. She was lying in a morgue. It was the only way to describe it, though it was far too large to be such. In reality, she was within a warehouse, just off one of the high streets of Empire; an area of particularly fierce rioting. However, the evil that had occurred here was not of human doing, and Holly, growing colder felt she knew whose it was. Around her, taking up maybe a third of the warehouse floorspace was a screened off area filled with simple steel racks, lined up neatly and in their hundreds. And upon each lay a body. Many were already bagged and tagged by a team of dedicated surgeons, but many more still lay open to the world; bodies mutilated, mangled, torn apart, skin laying in strips across the wrecked rib cages. The work of a monster.
Behind the curtain separating the floor came the moans and cries of many more; the screen was simply separating the dead from the dying, and, sure enough, after a couple of seconds, the curtain as briefly opened in the centre, and a pair of surgeons soaked in blood wheeled a recently deceased through, their faces stony, desensitizing themselves to the horror before them, and focusing on the matter at hand. However, as they moved their load onto one of the awaiting empty tables, one of the men noticed something was wrong with the surroundings, and looked up, to see Holly sitting on the metal tray looking around herself in horror.
"Oh Jesus Christ, get her outta here!"
From nowhere, a young women in Uniform dashed over and gently touched Holly on the arm. She looked over in terror to the distraction. The young women focused her eyes into Hollies, and smiled a tight, mirthless, yet warm and concerned smile.
"Keep looking at me Honey, don't look anywhere else until I say so, yeah that's it, take my hand... no keep on me, good, almost there."
Seconds later Holly was through the curtain and away from the dead. The women who had lead her to safety was a Police Officer, dressed in riot gear, and cradling a smashed arm in a sling. However, though she had been pulled out of the fight engulfing empire, she herself had set to work helping out in the makeshift Hospice anyway she could. Seconds later a doctor raced over, a look of frantic worry painted thickly on his face. He quickly ordered Holly and the Riot Police women into another area; another area curtained off, where the less serious injuries could be treated. A nurse briefly looked Holly over, and read through her chart, with some disbelief.
"Says here you were admitted in here with no pulse. Either our Paramedics aren't on the ball at the moment, or you're a very, very lucky person." The Nurse checked Hollies vitals once more, then, nodding to herself, handed her clothing, and bustled off to check on others, leaving Holly and the Police Women alone.
"The names Lisa by the way."
Holly nodded, but said nothing, images of death still lurking in her head.
"Look, I don't know what's going on out there, but whatever it is, I don't realistically think we're in any real danger here. We're out near the dock yards - away from the carnage, and there's a team of highly trained SWAT guarding us. You don't need to be scared."
Holly looked across again, tears brimming in her eyes.
"Look, don't worry, you're exceptionally lucky to be alive! Most of the people here were attacked by a group of men and women, fething psychos who didn't go down when we put them down, y'know? Still, if it hadn't been for whatever distracted them... I don't think the majority of the people here would be on this side of the screen, if you know what I mean."
Holly felt elation well up inside; she hadn't been the cause of this devastation, it had been others! And so, confidence growing inside, Holly asked cautiously "Did you see what distracted them?"
The corners of Lisa's eyes tightened slightly, and she licked her dry lips nervously.
"Something that I never thought could be possible. But whatever it had been, it tore through our assailants like a knife through butter. Then it disappeared, and...according to this, you were found dead at the scene. Now, I don't quite know what to make of that. A...thing is seen to kill three, maybe four people, and then puff! is gone amongst the piles of dead, and then you're found lying at the centre. I've seen a lot tonight, stuff that's gonna be with me for a long time, but that's the only thing I can't make sense of. How you, a 'normal girl' managed to come out of such a melee unscathed. Quite a feat."
Holly said nothing, and Lisa leaned back in her chair. "Guess we're that little bit luckier than we originally thought..."
Muffled shouting from across the warehouse suddenly escalated, and was followed up by gunshots.
Lisa stood up sharply, hand on her holster. A staccato of fire erupted loud and proud, a cacophony of noise that silenced every shout, every plea for relief within the warehouse, as everyone listened intently, with horror as the Team outside began to scream in agonized horror as they were torn apart, piece by piece. For a brief moment a glimmer of hope held out, like a single candle burning bright; whatever was out there couldn't get in. All the doors were shut, and locked down. There was no feasible way for the monsters that fed on blood to even get in.
Except...
Except the small side door next to the main entrance; it hadn't been locked since the fight had started, as paramedics had been passing through it every several seconds, and now it lay ajar, and the sounds of gurgling and growling came from outside. Lisa swallowed, and began to inch towards the door, her good arm outstretched, reaching for the handle. It was only when she was less than a metre away did she see an obstruction preventing the door closing. One of the SWAT team had tried to get through the door, but had been caught before they could. Now their arm lay across the door frame, stopping the door from closing. Lisa pulled her gun from its holster, and took another careful step forward. it seemed as if the entire hospice were watching her, waiting for her to shut the door. But as she reached out, her hand shaking, a shadow fell across the threshhold, and a gaunt, pale man, soaked in his own blood slowly opened the door, and stared with animalistic hunger at Lisa, it's long fangs glistening with crimson. And then Holly was there, leaping past Lisa with the speed of a bullet, and through the threshold, tackling the creature across the chest, and throwing it clear. Outside a dozen shrieking cries erupted, and the last thing Lisa saw of Holly was her shutting the door behind her, yelling "Even luckier than that."
From outside a Wolfs howl echoed out, long and forlorn, as Holly called for aid in her struggle against a pack of Larvae.
Outside the city, the eyelid of Ryan snapped open, and, without even a second glance, he leapt clean through the window once again, and began bounding purposefully towards the city, accelerating in speed to that of a rushing train.
....We interrupt your normal programing to bring you this special emergency report...
... Good evening..this is Robin Myers reporting live from outside the Mayors office were Chief Deputy Mayor Dallas has just called an emergency meeting with the Governer and his Chiefs of staff...
Early speculations are that the Mayor will be requesting the imediate mobilization of both National Guard and Federal Troops to restore order to the city...which...as you can see by the fires behind me ..is out of control..
Martial Law has been declared...but it seems to have done little to quell the chaos that has broken out throughout the city...
So far 2000 National Guardsmen have taken to the streets to aid the Empire City Police Department...but early reports indicate many more troops will need to be mobilized before order is restored...and..
...I'm getting an update on the situation..Ladies and Gentlemen ...I've been informed that the Empire City Police Station has just been overrun by an apparent mob of rioters...I've lost contact with the field reporter stationed there...but we will certianly keep you updated on this ...stunning turn of events...
Once again the main police station is under siege by a mob of rioters...
Ladies and Gentlemen we urge all of you to please remain calm and stay off the streets until the authorites can restore order....under no circumstances should you venture outside...I repeat...please remain in you homes and allow the proper authorities the freedom of movement the so desperatly need to restore order...
Stay tuned for further developments that we will be bringing you as they become available..
... Natasha stared in silent wonder as Ryan bounded from the floor and dove out the window, tearing off into the night...the female pups,Star and Candi leaping to their feet and preparing to follow..
Again the howl of another filled the night...the sound that had caused Ryan's quick exodus...in the distance...another wolf...entering combat...
Carlos and Davin had moved near the shattered window...their bodies transforming...Carlos had begun to drool as his mouth elongated sprouting a maw of razor sharp fangs....the pups wanted a scrap..
Natasha sniffed the air...her ancient senses detecting the slightest hint of vampiric scent in the winds...she frowned...she doubted it was Pontius...she knew his scent all to well...but some of his minions perhaps...
She gazed at the four young wolves who stood eagerly near the rear window...with a small smile she nodded " Hunt!" she said in the tounge of the wolf...and at once the pack was in motion...bounding across the rear yard ...over the fences and of in the direction of the howls that came out of the night...
The wolf queen turned to Lukos and Amanda ..." Come...we will follow...we aid the pups and the others if they require ..."
The three elder wolves exited the house and climbed into one of the Mercedes outside....gunning the powerful engine they quickly drove towards the docks.
Holly lammed the door behind her, and turned to face the Larvae. there were eleven, each one more repulsive than the last, deprived, hateful creatures, seeking to murder and drink the blood from anything that moved. Holly began to regret throwing herself in harms way, as the eleven began to circle her, baring their fangs, and hissing deep in their throats. Holly felt the loathing she felt for the vampire at the Diner all those days ago, and felt herself begin to lose control. She had never been able to justify revenge upon him for what he had done to her, she had not been able to vent her rage, until now. Now, there were eleven separate vampires, each as bad as him, each little more than a vessel for her revenge. Holly breathed in deep, letting the repulsive smell wash over her sinuses, and with a howl, she transformed. Whilst she changed, one of the leading Larvae leapt froward, only to be caught mid air by a hand, moving fast as a viper. It was held in place, legs dangling above the ground for several more seconds, pinned in place whilst Hollies claws slowly pushed out of her fingers, and into his throat, before she yanked down hard, tearing his throat, and several lumbers from his spine, clean out. The vampire tried to squeal, but simply crumpled to the ground, foaming gore. With that, the transformed Holly leapt forward teeth bared, a second howl on her lips. She only hoped that Ryan would hear her.
Behind the back wall of the store Andy, Jimbo, and Wendy were out of sight of the rioters and busy trying to pry the door open. Jimbo jammed a crowbar deep into the side of the doorframe and began to pull while Wendy and Andy watched down the alleyways for anything that may get in their way. With a loud snap the lock fell free from the shattered door and clanged on the cement flooring of the store's storeroom. Jimbo pulled the door open and shined in a flashlight, the entire back room was empty of life but filled with boxes of various sports clothing and equipment. An odor of industrial cleaning products wafted through the air and assaulted the collective noses of the hunters.
They walked in and examined boxes before giving up and walking out into the store's salesfloor. The window plating of the storefront was smashed and smoke filtered in from the streets to fill the store. The flashlight's beam became ever more visible as particles drifted in the air. Jimbo pointed over to the jogging section of the store and the group began to move quickly towards it, hoping to avoid attention. Jimbo looked over the brands of pulse monitors before finding one in a garish bright orange box saying that it had blue-tooth compatability in it. Overly geeked out and definitely over priced it would finally serve a purpose by syncing up with a device on the bomb that Jimbo had been working on before they left.
Andy looked around and saw a motorcycle/biking section,
"One second." Andy said as he walked over to the dirt biking clothes, he spotted a black riding suit with blue and grey highlights. He took it off the wall and looked for a size, the one he was holding was too large but the several others behind it were soon being looked over to find a fitting suit. Andy sighed as the closest one to his size was a size too small, he decided that it would be best to get a larger size so he could wear some clothes under it. Suit in hand he moved over to the biking helmets, tried one on and liked it so much he just decided to keep it on.
"Why are you wearing a helmet?" Wendy asked while Jimbo sorted through pulse monitors.
"Its part of the plan." Andy's smile covered by the lower part of the helmet.
"What plan involves motorcycle helmets?" Wendy cocked her head trying to figure it out.
"The kind of plan where we deliver a bomb in a van at high speeds." Andy looked at Jimbo.
"That's good thinking," Jimbo pulled a final monitor off of the racking, "hopefully it'll be enough protection from road rash."
As the trio left the way they came several rioters saw the beam of the flashlight coming from the store and decided to check it out.
... With an ear splitting roar Holly tore into the nearest Larve spilling it's insides onto the tarmac and ripping it's head from it's body in a series of fluid motions...landing in a crouch, the she-wolf whirled and prepared to lunge again as the remaining Larve decended on her...
Lashing out with claw and fang, the Larve charged in ...Holly roared in pain as the heavily muscled flesh of her midsection tore open and she felt herself being buried under a writhing sea of grasping vampires...somewhere in her beastial mind...she realized she was going to die...
A Roar filled the air as a fur covered behemoth charged from the darkness, hitting the group of Larve like a nightmare locomotive...in a blink of an eye the huge wolf had ripped two of the stunned creatures to pieces...scattering their torn and broken forms to the wind as the others recoiled in shocked surprise...
Ryan crouched low besides Holly protectively snarling at the remaining Larve who paused for a moment then continued their attack spurred on by their numerical advantage and the desire to spill blood, the Larve swarmed the huge wolf ripping into his throat and upper body...the beast stood to it's full hiegth roaring defiantly at it's attackers...in one swift motion the wolf grasped the nearest creature by the skull with it's powerful claws and crushed it's head as though it were a rotted melon..
The remaining Larve stepped back...unsure as to how to proceed ...when from the gloom a long piercing howl rose and a pack of wolves exploded into view charging headlong towards the vampires..
At once the Larve turned...attempting to retreat...but they were far to slow...the sprinting pack of wolves rapidly overtook them and in a fury of claws and fangs all of the Larve were torn apart save one who managed to slash into Carlos throat and retreat up the hill....only to run directly into the smiling faces of Natasha ,Lukos and Amanda...
The Wolf queen drug the hissing vampire back to were the other wolves stood licking their wounds and shreading the forms of the fallen Larve...grasping the sole remaining creature by it's throat,Natasha lifted it into the air..
" Where is your master ?...Where is Pontius?..." The wolf queen snarled at the thrashing creature in her grasp..
The Larve hissed and spat obcenities at Natasha...but would not answer...
The wolf queen tightened her grip..." I ask you again...for the last time...where is your master?"
The creature hissed,it's eyes rolling in it's head..." Master ...gone...out of your reach wolf b****..." the Larve gurgled..
Natasha shook her head flinging the Larve to the ground..." Destroy that...thing.." she said to Lukos, who quickly tore the gasping creatures head from it's body...
The young wolves in the pack had caught wind of the wounded in the nearby hospice and begun to advance on the structure...with a roar Natasha ordered them to leave the humans inside be.." You may feed later.." she said " For now we see to our own."
The wolf queen moved closer to were Holly lay...looking compasionatly at the wounded wolf..." We can help you...we can take you somewhere safe.." she said..." The choice is yours.."
Ok...all of the larve were killed.
Holly took a severe wound.
Ryan took a wound
Carlos took a wound.
Mordoskul wrote:Well...damn. Kind of what I expected, but still... holy crap...
Truth be told I was a bit surprised myself, the Larve did suffer some bad rolls...(this is what saved Holly from dying),but once the rampaging Werewolf pack struck I was frankly amazed at how fast they plowed through the Larve....
Apparently a pack of Werewolves does a huge amount of damage..

Yeah really... oh crap you're the GM right? I mean, I look forward to the challenge? Crap! I mean, I think Andy and company are going to book it out of town after finding out that some vampires in Florida are wreaking havoc in local strip clubs, yeah, that's what I mean.

...But Andy is sworn to protect the innocent...he's a Hunter...a member of the Holy Order...he wouldn't just abandon Empire City in it's hour of need...would he?
Strip clubs in Florida need protectionfrom the vampire menace as well.

Andy put on his sunglasses and looked in the mirror, his reflection showed up a red hawaiian shirt and his white jean shorts. He looked down at the sandals he was wearing and grabbed a suitcase before walking towards the door of the NBC building.
"Umm, where are you going?" he heard Miranda call from inside.
"To Florida." Andy said as he continued to walk out the door.
"You're leaving this city behind to rot to go vacation in Florida?" she spat.
"No," Andy elongated his response as he tried to think of something, "its a new assignment."
"More important than the cleansing of Empire City?" she crossed her arms.
"Much more important." Andy walked out the door before Miranda gripped the back of Andy's collar and pulled him back inside, "What about Florida?"
"You're not going to Florida!" she yelled as she dragged Andy back inside. Andy tried to grab the door frame as Miranda pulled him back in.
"Its dereliction of duty!" Miranda shouted as she struggled to pull him back in.
"Screw duty, I want strippers!" Andy shouted while the other hunters watched bemusedly.
"You know," Miranda whispered into Andy's ear, "all of the strippers in Florida are werewolves."
Andy stopped and looked down at the floor in contemplation before shouting and throwing his suitcase to the ground. He muttered as he stomped off to go change back into his clothes.
"I hate you Miranda." Andy said as he walked by Miranda who was leaning against the doorframe smiling.
"What about Florida?" Wendy called from the truck, her sunhat poking from the window.
"Too many werewolf strippers." Andy sat down with a huff and crossed his arms angrily.
....Nachos...If this RP was an Olympic event I would personally give you a gold medal...I swear bro,you make me laugh so damn much...I'm going to have to grant Andy a free wound or something...

The bikers had been roaming the city for days, feth all they could do. chaos had a pernament grip on the city. Civilans wer dropping like flies. Fires burnt unchecked and unharried.
Crossing across the town the saw yet another store front being smashed down, but this this time the looters were national guard. These fethers had given up hope.
Oi!! Feth Heads, you deserting scumbags
You talking to us whore... The one who replied was evidently the leader, larger than the others
Yea, she is. what the feth do you think your doing!
we're doing some blackout shopping, since the majors not around any more.... he should really watch ut for falling debris more carefully , we can do what the feth we like and there's no way we're going to out our lives on the line for this gakky city.
Right there's no way we can let you do this, your supposed to protect civilans and put your lives on the line for this "gakky" city, your the lowest piece of scum i've ever set my eyes upon.
Suzie bared her fangs as Isaac and vukojevic leveled their Aks and fired at the deserters. Two of them dropped like stones, a third was pushed into th line of fire and was ent flying like a ragdoll as the leader and his remaing crony dashed for the safety of the shop. Suzie chased after them, her pistols blazing.
Suzie saw the smaller trooper jek and fall as he got caught in the back by 5 rounds, one finding the area between his flak jacket nad helmet. As Suzie rounded the aisle she came face to face with the big bastard. Suzie felt a knife slide into her rib cage.
This is a present fom Sergeant Hooper, see you in hell Bitch!!
You big fether, think your so hard killing civilans well suck on this!!
Hoooper looked surprised as Suzie jammed her pistol into his mouth and pulled the trigger. His brains created an intresting pattern on the beans behind him. As he fell suzie jumped on his corpse ripping open his throat, gorging herself on his blood as it poured into her mouth.
As iSaac climbed over the body of the other trooper he saw suzie sitting crying.
Hey suzie, whats the matter? Are you hurt?
The fether knifed me, I'm okay now but it was horrible, I though i could keep of the hunger for ever, I miss Longinus. We both need his help.
it'll all be better we find the feth head and gut him like the coward he is.
Outside the gang had been stripping the corpses of anything useful when VukoJevic looked up
SIRENS, you fething bastards get ready to move out, we'll still get shot for those bastard guards. I'll fetch the other two.
he ran inside adreniline flowing.
He nearly vomited when he turned the corner, a mound of flesh wih a few rags was just sitting on the floor.
I knew you were messedup, this will have to wait though, theres fething pigs on their way and we can't get caught here, not with the bodies. Chatter on the radio says the police derpartment has been targeted by vamps and wolves, we have to move quickly.
The Crooked House loomed in front of the three figure, two of them towering above the third and holding an oaken box. The House was surrounded by an spike iron fence, an open gate entered into a path paved with stone lead up to a plain wooden door. Lining the path were hundreds of candles of human tallow burned with eerie light as the figures walked up to the door. Screaming and cursing could be heard from the attic atop the twisted tower, and shadows fought and slashed at one another behind the light in the room. The third figure rapped three time upon the door, which swung inwards without a sound. The three stepped inside the foyer, which was richly carpeted with a great purple rug that spanned the room. A double staircase stood before them, with a pair of double doors at the top. A chandelier made of bone hung from above, shaking slightly with what sounded like sobs. The double doors at the top of the stairs opened, and a shuffling squeak could be heard, but no one could be seen. Then they saw it, a greenish man with flesh drawn impossibly tight over his thin bones rolled down the right staircase in a tiny cart in which he was crammed inside. When he reached the bottom, he pushed himself forwards with his hands, rolling towards the three figures. Taking the third figure's hand it spoke; "Come see Anise. Anise waits!" And rolled forwards, the figures in tow, gliding up the stairs in his wagon with no difficulty to the top of the steps. "Go see! Go see!" the creature croaked, and bade them to enter. They did so, the giants being careful to avoid damaging the box they carried. Stepping through the portal, the three found themselves in an impossibly long hallway, down which the ghoul rolled. A hundred thousand doors creaked open, and a million hungry eyes peered out from the rooms, sickly and pallid limbs reaching for the visitors. The ghoul shrieked loudly at the claws, his voice full of condemnation. "For Anise! Not you!" And as one, the doors slammed shut, the eyes gone behind the portals. "This way, Anise waits!" The ghouls rolled on, propelling himself forward on his hands, opening a door and baying the three to follow. For what felt like days, the creature led them through hallway after hallway, through door after door, before they arrived at what appeared to be a kitchen. The ghoul yelled inside, his voice gleeful. "Anise! They are here!" And rolled inside. Entering the kitchen, the three beheld a stooped hag with horribly shriveled flesh hunched over a bubbling cauldron, from which she dropped various powders and herbs. A screaming face surfaced briefly, followed by an arm, which tried to crawl out of the pot, but the crone angrily forced it back down with her bone spoon. Turning her gaze to the figures, she smiled, and hobbled over to embrace the middle. Pinching his cheek affectionately, she said, "Pontius, after all these years, I was beginning to think you'd never come back. How's little Ollie?" Pontius smiled, and returned her embrace before saying. "It is he who lies within the casket, Longinous, the Fool sent him into Slumber, but not for long, he stirs even now. I have a gift for you, Anise, for your collection." Reaching within his coat, the Brutii produced a severed tongue, and presented it to the hag, who took it with reverence. "The Tongue of the Sage... it will make a fine addition indeed! Now where are my manners? Are you boys hungry? Tommy just took three healthy children to the marl pit out back, but he's willing to share." Pontius chuckled, "Perhaps later, my friends and I are in need of a place to stay, would you kindly provide us with rooms?" At this, Anise laughed, a sound not unlike the rustling of dead leaves on a bleak autumn day. "Oh Pontius, you know you need not to ask! You are always welcome here. I'll show you to your rooms after you meet someone you have not seen in years. Come, he waits." Anise beckoned for the Kindred to follow, and she pushed open a great golden door with her frail arms, revealing an ornate chamber covered in a red velvet carpet. A great golden throne was placed in the center of the room, but it was not what Pontius and the Opriknikki were looking at. A man dressed in fine satin robes sat in the throne, his red eyes glittering with amusement and deadly intellect. A great garnet ring sat upon his elegant finger, a twin to the one born by the Childe of Brutus. Pontius and the giants fell to their knees in reverence, their brows touching the masterfully crafted carpet. A single name escaped Pontius' lips, a name known to all of the Kindred, a name that demanded fear and respect. It was more than a name, it was an incantation, a spell of guile and vengeance to be brought down upon one's foes. The name was old, older than the works of the Cattle, older than the mortal world itself. "Cain".
OOC: Alright people, that's the last you'll be hearing from Pontius this RP. See you in the sequel!
Ok guys ...I had planned to do a few write ups tonight ...but Georgia is about to get hit with a crap ton of very bad storms..one of which spawned an F-5 tornado that did a ton of damage in Alabama.
There is a line of storms moving towards Georgia (all cabable of spawning tornados)...so I'm going to be watching the weather very close for the next few hours...
..If all goes well...I'll do some write ups later...if not....well...I'll see you all over the rainbow.
The hunters were almost out of the building when they heard the backdoor reopen behind them. Andy turned on his heels, dropping his riding suit as he drew his pistol. Wendy picked the suit up quickly before heading out to the truck with Jimbo at Andy's signal. He stepped back slowly, light whispering reached his ears as his sights lingered over where the door was, 30 feet away. A dark figure came from the door and looked around the storeroom, its eyes looked in Andy's direction and charged. A loud crack and a flash of light illuminated the boxes and shelves of the backroom and the figure slumped under a second later. Andy looked at the figure fall and heard the footsteps of others, their sound getting fainter as they ran away. Andy lowered his gun, holding it tightly in both hands still, and approached the pile on the cement floor. As he got closer he could feel his shoe losing traction as he stepped in blood, the light under the gun turned on with the flick of a finger and cast itself upon a raggedy clothed man with a bullet hole oozing from his back.
"Feth." Andy muttered as he backpedaled towards the door to leave.
......
Andy got into the truck and closed the door, "What happened in there, we heard a gunshot?" Wendy asked from the passenger seat.
"I shot a guy." Andy said as he started the car.
"You shot an actual person?" Jimbo asked from the back.
"Yeah, not a vamp, not a wolf, a guy." Andy shook his head, "Thought he had a weapon or something. He charged me so I had no choice."
"I hear that, people are acting crazy right now." Jimbo patted Andy on the shoulder, "No one blames you."
The truck barreled down the backroads as they headed back towards the NBC building.
........................
Smalls and Dez sat in the garage and watched the headlights sway as the truck went over a speed bump. The smell of exhaust increased exponentially as the closed in garage absorbed most of the gas. Andy noticed that Derek and Miranda still weren't back. The truck came to a sudden stop as Andy slammed it into park and got out. Dez sat hunched over in boredom near the far wall, apparantly Smalls was a poor conversationalist after all.
"Have you seen Miranda and Derek at all?" Andy's voice was somewhat muffled by the helmet as he took it off.
"They came down for a few minutes before going back into the offices." Dez said boredly.
"Alright, any news from Rachel?" Andy asked.
"Nothing new, starting to worry some more." Dez replied.
"Alright, I'm going to go find Derek and Miranda and then we'll head out to the roof to see if we can try to spot her." Andy patted Dez on the shoulder and walked into the building.
"Wait, I'll go with you." Wendy called and she double timed to the door.
.............
It had been about ten minutes since they started looking for Derek and Miranda and the office had been completely empty.
"Where do you think they are?" Andy asked Wendy.
"On the roof having sex." Wendy joked.
"From what I've seen those two seem incapable of love." Andy retorted, "All work and no play you know."
"What about you?" Wendy asked, the question caused both of them to stop in a hallway.
"What about me?" Andy asked.
"Do you know, play?" Wendy asked as she ran her fingers along Andy's arm.
"Sometimes..." Andy stared at her before snapping back to attention, "but right now really isn't the time for anything." he quickly blurted.
"Are you sure?" Wendy continued to flirt.
"Uh, um," Andy stammered as he looked her in the face, "aww screw it." Andy said as he opened the door to an office.
..........................
Andy zipped up his pants as Wendy smoothed down her hair.
"Well that was fun." Andy said as he worked on his belt, "But we should probably go find Derek and Miranda now."
"Yeah," Wendy said, "you can only look for someone for so long before people get suspicious."
The two walked to the emergency stairwell and walked up to the roof where they found Miranda and Derek looking out over the city with a pair of binoculars, Miranda held out a notepad and was jotting down Derek's observations.
"What're you two doing?" Andy asked.
"Noting vampire and werewolf activity." Miranda continued to jot down notes.
"Looks like an attack near the apartments." Derek said and Miranda quickly wrote it down.
"How many so far." Andy asked.
"About 50 or so," Miranda quickly counted, "the biggest being a vampire/wolf fight near the warehouses."
"You guys can see that all the way from here?" Andy was amazed.
"These aren't ordinary binoculars." Miranda responded for Derek who was busy scanning the city, "They've been made to detect specific heat signatures of various creatures, Vampires and Werewolves stick out like a sore thumb with these things. Has Rachel shown up?"
"Not yet, we should probablymove out just in case they got to her." Andy said as he shook his head.
"We'll be down in a few minutes." Miranda said as Andy opened the roof access door and headed back downstairs with Wendy.

Oh crap Nachos, you're not making it so Rachel has been attacked now are you?
Also, I don't think that was the best time for that, just cos, you know were in the middle of a massive vamp and wolf attack?
Actually, right now all the hunters are waiting around for the most part, save Vegas who is being held captive and Rachel who is hopefully going to get to the building. And no I wasnt trying to set up Rachel being attacked, I was trying to get it set up so that they can leave as soon as she arrives.
Also, you'll be surprised at what can happen in five minutes.

Aw, Andy's first and last time!

We shall see how many times Andy gets it on, in fact I already have Andy and Wendy doing the funky chicken on Pontius's grave planned.
...Rachel had received word from Dez concerning the location of the other Hunters, she now made her way cautiously trough the chaotic streets of Empire City in search of the location...
On several occasions Rachel had taken refuge in abandoned shops as all around her the city burned, twice she feared she would have to kill a human considering the rampaging mobs she encountered...but fortunately...the groups she ran into seemed more intent on looting than violence and retreated quickly when Rachel brandished her pistol...
Finally ...after what felt like days, she arrived at the building the Hunters had taken rufuge in...she made another quick call to Dez and he hurried to let her inside...
" Rachel..thank god your ok" Dez said embracing the woman..
Derek appeared at the top of a stairwell and glanced down at the young couple ,allowing them a brief moment to reunite before he called down to them.." Ok you two...get up here...we have a lot of work to do...Rachel..it's good to see you safe..."
...Ok....Rachel is reunited with the rest of the Hunters.
"We don't have too much work to do." Andy said as he walked up to the group, "Jimbo is getting the bomb wired and everything else is set."
"Are you serious?" Derek turned to ask.
"Yeah, everything's in motion." Andy smiled.
"That's not what I meant, I meant that we still have work to do." Derek responded, "Roles, timing, etc."
"Speaking of timing I meant to ask you about how long you think it would take to carry out the mission." Andy watched as Rachel and Dez continued to stay together.
"Why do you ask?" Derek asked, his back turned to the couple.
"The bomb's going to make a big boom, I have Jimbo wiring pulse monitors to it so that way if we all die it'll go off." Andy said, "I wanted to know about a time just in case they capture and don't kill us."
"Maybe 20, 25 minutes at max if its just get in and get out." Derek heard some commotion behind him.
"Did you just say that we're going to be setting up a bomb?" Dez asked.
"Yes, we're going to blow up the theater if we get taken out." Andy said.
"If, we get captured or taken out though. That's what you said." Dez continued.
"Yeah, the way it works is that if we die the pulse monitors shut off and the bomb then goes off. If we get captured I doubt that we would want to stay alive so if the timer goes off it'll kill us as well as a vamp or two." Andy looked Dez directly in the eye, "I know it seems a bit too dangerous, but you've seen what they started to do to Vegas. Speaking of Vegas we need to leave as soon as possible, its safe to say that she's being tortured and they may be trying to get info out of her as we speak."
"If you care so much about Vegas, then why did it take you so long to find Miranda and Derek?" Dez asked.
"Because its a large building and we checked every floor on the way up." Andy replied, "Vegas is a fellow hunter, if she's captured we need to get her, if they turn her we kill her, if she's too far gone we put her down. I would do the same for you and any hunter."
"Yeah right." Dez sneered, "You don't care about us, that's why you left us at the farm when you went to get the crossbow."
"I went to get the crossbow with Miranda because she was reliable and knew about the weapon I was going after." Andy kept calm, "If you don't think that I care about the other hunters then you need to leave before I do to you what I did to Danny."
"What happened to the farm anyways?" Derek asked to defuse the situation, "I know that you killed Danny because he was a traitor, but no one knows what happened except for her." he thumbed towards Rachel.
Rachel shook her head at the thought of what happened. Andy and Derek looked at her while she grabbed on tighter to Dez.
"We need to know." Andy agreed, "Maybe it can help us. Let us know how and maybe who.". Rachel still kept silent.
"I don't know, it just happened really fast." Rachel said, "We tried to fight back at first, but they set the house on fire and we had to leave. They were waiting for us outside, they attacked us, and..." her voice trailed as the pain of the memory returned.
"That's enough." Andy said and tapped Derek on his arm, Andy's head motioned for him to follow and they left the two alone for awhile.
Upstairs they sat around and looked over the map again while Jimbo was busy rigging the bomb to work with the monitors. Amazingly the giant's thick fingers were able to work with the wires and circuits of the bomb and the monitors.
"After delivering the bomb we'll toss in some flashbangs and assault the building from here and here." Derek pointed to several points on the blueprints, "It looks like she's being held in the basement and there's only one access point to it, it'll probably be boobytrapped so we need to look for anything around it."
"You mean like wires and anything that looks like a bomb?" Andy asked.
"I mean anything that looks like a vampire. They can blend in and change physical states so they may just float around the entrance and trap us all inside the basement." Derek replied.
"So we keep some people at the top and maybe one or two of us goes down into the basement." Andy replied.
"That's a good enough idea." Miranda added.
"We'll use the vampire grenades in the back of the van." Wendy said.
"We might hit Vegas with them." Dez said as he continued to stay with Rachel, "Those flashbangs from before, we should use those and then storm into the basement."
"That's a better idea." Andy agreed, "Plus I have that sword that makes them squirm, think it'll be enough to keep them solid?"
"It just might, never know against ancients." Miranda shrugged.
"The biggest issue will be if the wolves show up." Derek cut back in, "We've seen the two groups fighting recently and if they appear when we do we could be facing vampires and werewolves at the same time."
"But vampires and werewolves hate each other." Dez stated, "Shouldn't they ignore us and go after each other?"
"They should, but if we're in the crossfire it doesn't matter who hates who." Derek replied.
"So we get in early and leave just as fast and maybe the bomb can take out any wolves that come after we leave." Andy smiled.
"Let's hope." Derek said, "Either way, we're expendable so take out whatever you can and maybe we'll survive."
... Miranda sat quietly listening to the others talk as she slid the blade of her knife over a wetstone...her thoughts drifting to the video of Vegas and her captures...the servant of Pontius had made it clear they were walking into a trap...and furthermore..Pontius himself was no longer in the city...for all they knew pontius was no longer even in the country...
She lowered her head for a moment...silently praying...inside she felt a growing sense of impending doom and try as she might...she just couldn't shake it..
She wiped away a single tear that formed in the corner of her eye...and steeled herself for the coming mission...she was a Hunter by god...and if her duties called for it...she would die fighting.
She looked at Trask and Bruss who were busy discussing tactics and spoke..." You should know Bruss...the sword...the Wrath of Ra ...it will prevent even the most powerful of Vampires from using their unholy gifts" she said " With that weapon in hand...they will be forced to face us in their material forms...it will give us some advantage...as will it's powers to cause great discomfort in the blood suckers as well..."
Andy turned and looked at Miranda nodding..." That's good to know...gives us better odds.."
Miranda smiled and slid her knife against the wetstone looking at Andy..." Yes...we go from certian death to probable death..much better odds indeed."
" Your a real mood killer Miranda...you know that.? " Andy said grimly as he stared at the woman.
.......Game Time is 3:00 A.M......
Full (Blood) Moon is Tonight....
... Natasha hovered over Holly awaiting her reply ...
" Feth her she's had at.." Carlos said from a distances smashing the skull of an eviserated Larve that was still quivering on the pavement..." We should go...my Queen"
" I will decide when we should go young one..." Natasha said softly without taking her eyes from Holly...
In the distance the sound of engines approaching caught Lukos attention.." Perhaps the pup has a point Natasha...." he said.
" Indeed he may Lukos..." replied the wolf queen...her attention returned to the injured wolf that lay before her..." Come with us young one...it is not safe for you here.." she repeated to Holly.
The sound of the engines drew closer...
Holly rolled onto her side, facing away from Natasha. It was all she could do to show her defiance, to show her difference. The Wolf Queens face tightened slightly, and her eyes flashed amber for a heartbeat. A pup, ignoring her? But she regained her composure, and without a second glance turned to leave, the rest of her pack moving away. As she passed Ryan, she turned, and spoke in wolfish "Come with us brother, revel in the chaos of tonight. Feed until you cannot feed any more, and then lay bed with your mates. All you need to do is leave this reject behind. She has made her choice to die."
Ryan seemed torn, but with a sense of regret, hung his head respectively, and padded away from Natasha, much to the gall of the Wolf Queen.
"You have made your choice! Let us hope we do not cross paths again." she snarled, and turned to leave with her pack. As they left the scene, Lukos, who had remained impassive throughout the confrontation, looked over his shoulder, and smiled privately. No longer was there a great wolf squatting beside a dying women, but instead a large man, heavily muscled and scarred, but none the less, concerned greatly over the well being of Holly. With a silent snigger, Lukos bounded away into the night.
... Natasha turned on her heels, sparing Ryan and the imputent female a final glance before joining Lukos and Amanda as they headed back towards the Mercedes ...
the remainder of the pack having bound away into the night heading back to Amanda's lair ...
Entering the interior of the car,Natasha slammed the door and stared at Lukos..."Drive..." the wolf queen said softly..
" Why do you allow them to live..?" Amanda asked furiously from the front seat next to Lukos..." They have refused to join us...they deserve to die.."
" Question me not Amanda.." Natasha snarled..." I allow them to live because I wish to...it is not your decision ...and I will not be interigated by the likes of you."
Amanda fell silent, but gazed back towards the pair of wolves in the lot with a hatred in her eyes..." As you wish my queen" she said .
As the Mercedes exited the south end of the lot,Lukos spied a large black SUV enter the lot from the north...slowly approaching Ryan and the wounded Holly...and coming to a halt scant yards from the pair..
Lukos mussed to himself " Perhaps your allow them to live was a pointless gesture Natasha" he thought as he turned the vehicle onto the side road and headed away from the docks..
"Holly?" Ryan growled, before clearing his throat again. He had almost forgotten how to speak, and words seemed alien, new to him. The young girl turned over and looked up into his eyes.
"Hey....Ryan, you're looking.....better."
Ryan smiled faintly, before he lifted her up in his arms and began to pad towards the Warehouse, where no doubt, aid could be gotten for Holly. The Warehouse door did initially cause a predicament, and with his arms full, Ryan resorted to kicking it off its hinges with a muscled leg. Several shouts and screams erupted and a stern looking Riot Policemen, arm cradled in sling, stepped forward, her pistol raised defiantly.
"Whoa, whoa, peace. My friend. She needs help, she saved you."
After a few seconds of initial shock associated with a man of Ryans stature standing naked in front of them, several medical staff rushed over to take Holly from his arms.
Lisa stepped forward slightly, commanding Ryans attentions from Holly, despite his concern. With a silent motion, she led him outside back into the alley. It was dark out here, the floodlight had been smashed in the scrap, leaving the alley in relative darkness. Lisa turned to face Ryan, standing scant centimetres from a severed hand, completely oblivious.
"We...we heard some pretty flying rodent gak stuff out here, care to explain at all?"
Ryan opened his mouth, then floundered. He had absolutely no way to even begin. He shut it again, and shrugged his heavy set shoulders.
"Uh huh, 's what I thought."
A black SUV drove cautiously down the street up to the warehouse, its lights on full blaze, illuminating the piles of corpses, and Both Ryan and Lisa, who were standing in its glow.
Lisa looked down briefly at the carnage upon the ground, but her eyes didn't stray for long. She felt physically ill, but the commanding presence of the Van drew her attention away, and stopped her from vomiting.
"Whose this? Friends of yours?" Lisa muttered, slipping the safety catch off her Firearm.
"I don't have any friends." Ryan muttered, turning to face the vehicle.
"We're set." Andy said to Derek as he watched Jimbo working on the bomb, still amazed at how fast he had worked. "We have a nice little sword that will make sure they can't use any special powers, and we have grenades made especially for them."
"I love how he's so optimistic." Wendy said to Smalls as the two sat in a corner, "Hopefully we do come out of this thing alive."
Smalls just shrugged as he sat there next to her, he had yet to say a word in front of Andy, Miranda, or Dez.
"Smalls, you're like the sister I never had you know." Wendy watched as Smalls smiled and shook his head, "I feel like I can tell you anything and if we're not in front of strangers you can offer advice."
Wendy looked at Andy and smiled as he saw her. Andy winked over the hunched shoulder of Jimbo.
"You think anything's going on between them?" Miranda asked Derek quietly.
"Are we walking into a trap within an hour or so?" Derek huffed, "Its not right."
"What's not right about it?" Miranda pulled out her laptop and turned it on, the machine hummed into life.
"Hunters shouldn't be together when they're going to be working with each other." Derek looked at Miranda across the stairwell entrance, "It clouds the mind and can lead to death."
"There is a bright side of it though." Miranda sat forward and began to secretly point at Andy and Miranda, "Those two know about vampires and werewolves, any kids they have will know about vampires and werewolves. It helps fill the ranks easier if anything."
"Cortez, I never thought of you as one into logistics." Derek looked to see if Andy or Wendy had seen them, "I still don't like it, it also has the potential of taking two hunters out of the fight."
"Just let them be for awhile." Miranda said, "Andy's cocky but he knows what he's doing."
"What about the Dez guy and Rachel?" Derek thumbed towards the other two hunters.
"They came together, nothing we can do about that." Miranda shrugged.
"How do you know they were like that before?" Derek asked.
"The network," Miranda showed him her laptop, "it has everything about every hunter which is why we limit the number of people who can view it."
"Geez, the network's like a really exclusive facebook or twitter now." Derek sighed, "I remember when the network was much simpler. Simple guns and guts."
"And I'm sure the hunters before you said the same thing about their swords and shields." Miranda smiled as she continued to update statuses in the network. Derek had been sitting for long enough and decided to rally the troops.
"Alright people, weapons check followed by a review of the plan and outfitting with the pulse monitors." Derek clapped his hands together to get everyone's attention. "We should be moving out in an hour if Jimbo finishes by then."
...From within the parked SUV,two figures dressed entirely in black emerged and glared first towards Ryan and the woman, then at the scene of carnage strewn round the building..their eyes glowing red in the illumination of the over head lamps of the lot.
" Vampires" Ryan whispered to himself..
The two vampires, both new born, had been sent out by Chadwick to report back on the progress of the Larve Cells with in Empire City, they had briefly lost contact with the Larve who'd engaged with the wolf pack ...but had finally tracked them down...finding they had been destroyed...
The Driver of the SUV,a tall vampire, fixed his eyes on Ryan's and drew a long silver dagger from his belt.." This is your doing Lycan!.." the creature spat " You shall pay for this insult..."
Lisa quickly freed her pistol from it's holster and aimed at the Vampire nearest her..." I think you two had better go.." she said ...though she was sure her words were meaningless in this situation..
The second Vampire laughed mockingly ..." No Humani..you play the wrong game...your ..foolishness means nothing to us..."
" We'll see..." The woman said pulling the hammer back on her weapon...
" Perhaps you should go back inside.."Ryan said quietly to the woman...
" Perhaps so.." she chuckled..." But I'm not.."
Ryan sighed and nodded..
In an instant ...the two Vampires were in motion, the tall one moving surprisingly fast lunge at Ryan, sweeping his dagger in a deadly arc, he aimed for the wolf's heart...but his speed was no match for Ryan's,the dagger swiped through empty air as the powerful wolf effortlessly dodged the blows...
The Vampire grew furious..." Cursed Beast... we shall see your abominable kind erased from this city "
The scent of the enraged Vampire assaulted Ryan's sense...driving the wolf mad with desire to spill blood...with an adders speed ,Ryan struck...his clawed hand clamping around the Vampires weapon hand like a steel trap and tearing the Vampires arm complettely off in a spray of blood.
The creature wailed in agony, falling to it's knees as Ryan casually disguarded the severed arm and stalked forward snarling...
" Wretched Beast...You will die at our hands..all of you..!" were the last words spoken by the injured Vampire before Ryan removed the hissing creatures head in one vicious swipe of his claws....
At the same instant...the second Vampire had gone for Lisa...sure in it's abilities to slaughter a mere human...
The woman stumbled backwards ...attempting to avoid the Vampires attack...she brought her weapon up and fired a volley of shots towards the creature...the reports echoing loudly in the night..
In amazement ...she watched as round after round struck the Vampire...knocking it backwards...but doing no real harm...one round took the creature high in the top of it's face and drove it to it's knees, but the Vampire stood and laughed after a moment...laughing at the humans ineffective attacks as the wounds she'd dealt out began to mend before her eyes...
" Stupid Humani.." The Vampire smiled baring his fangs..." I told you you were playing the wrong game..."
The creature was on her in seconds...lifting her by the throat and slamming her down to the tarmac...knocking the wind from her body .
" You and your kind are no more than food..." the vampire laughed " It's the order of things...you are our cattle...our prey.." the vampire moved closer to the fallen woman, settleing over her...his lips parting...it's breath like wind from a tomb...the creature bared it's fangs..." You are food Humani...and I hunger.."...
Lisa felt the Vampires lips press against her throat...revulsion filling her as she fought desperatly to free her self...it was useless...the vampire was far to strong...it laughed against her neck...it's hot stinking breath washing over her..." Relax Human...all your fear will be over in but a moment.."
Lisa closed her eyes...there was nothing she could do...she felt the press of the creatures fangs against her neck and braced for what was to come next...when suddenly she felt the crushing wieght lifted from her...
The woman opened her eyes...the man...the naked man had changed...his features had become beastial...wolfish in appearance ...in one clawed hand he held the Vampire aloft...kicking and hissing above the ground the vampire clawed at the man with no effect...screaming curses into it's wolf like face.
With a roar the half beast drove it's talons through the vampires chest...removing it's heart in a single tug...the vampire stiffened and went still...the beast snarled and tore it's head from it's body with a satisfied grunt before letting the gushing corpse fall to the pavement.
Lisa stared at the beast for a moment and felt blackness closing in around her..."What...what are you..?" she managed to say before her eyes rolled in her head and she completely blacked out..
Combat resolution..
Ryan-0 wounds.
Lisa-Broken ribs.
Both Vampires dead...
....Ryan now has access to the Vampires SUV and all weapons they had ( 2 pistols + the silver dagger),he also has access to the computer in the SUV...filled with loads of "Vamp Info".
... Lukos wheeled the Mercedes back into Amanda's driveway...reflecting briefly on their ride home...though they'd avoided the interior of the city, the glow from the fires could still be seen in the night sky and Lukos couldn't help but wonder to himself what would be left of Empire for the Wolves to inherit.." Will we be lords over a burnt and wrecked kingdom.." he thought silently as he killed the car engine..
as he and the females exited the vehicle a police patrol car drew near...slowing the officer in the passenger seat rolled down his window and leaned out..." You folks ok..?" he asked with concern..Lukos smiled to himself, sure that the citizens in less afluient areas weren't getting such gracious treatment by the police they encountered...
" We're fine officer...thank you" he said " we went to pick up a friend.." he indicated Natasha.." she was frightened to be alone with all the...looting going on"
The officer stared at Natasha and smiled..." Understandable...lots of crazies in the streets tonight...but for the most part it's contained in the city...you folks should be fine...but if you hear anything...call...we've got lots of patrols out in this area."
" I'm sure you do" Lukos mumbled " got to protect the rich little sheep."
" Sir?" the officer said..
" I said that's good to know...we'll be able to sleep" Lukos smiled
" Yes sir.." the officer smiled..." Call if you need us.." he said and gestured for his partner to drive on.
" Morons.." Lukos spat..." Before entering the city tomorrow I hope to meet you both again...just for a quick snack."
Amanda laughed.." They did look yummy...but then the self important often do...that's what I moved here to began with.."
" Hey Amanda" a balding man called from across the street " Been watching the news..things sure look bad in Empire.."
" Sure does Ron" Amanda called at her neighbor .." But I've got a feeling everything will be ...better by tomorrow...by nightfall at least."
" I sure hope so...we don't want any of those ...people from in the city running around here rioting.." said the man..
" Oh Ron...don't worry...it'll all be ok...in fact why don't you and the family come over tomorrow?..have a swim...maybe even stay for a ...bite." Amanda giggled.
" Sure Amanda.." Ron said.." We'll do that."
" See you then" Amanda said saucily shaking her rear towards the bald little man as she and the others entered the house..
Inside,Natasha sat at a large table, surrounded by the rest of the pack who now gorged themselves on the remains of the four dead hookers..." Pontius has fled the city" Natasha said " His subordinates relenquished that information before relinquishing their lives.."
" Coward.." Amanda spat..
" Perhaps.." Natasha said " Perhaps not...Pontius is no fool..and clearly he's left others here.."
" So we go after them?" Lukos asked..
" At the fullness of the Blood Moon." Natasha nodded..." We hunt."
Thats right its me! (didn't see that one coming did you.)
Hi Fitzz, kais, Nachos, Ghosty, MDS, Mordoskul, Hlarkin
I'm reading throug the last added pages and can someone give me a quick sketch of the current situation.
Cause its not all clear in my mind. (i admit i've skimmed some texts )
I'll write something up tommorow if i can figure out what transpired.
Mordoskul wrote:God, I hope we can finish this tonight, I can't wait to start the sequel!
...I doubt it will wrap tonight Mordo...there are still quite a few unresolved issues/combats to take place...
Holly/Ryan still have to ...well do whatever it is they will do about Vegas...
The Hunters have to confront the Fallen/try to rescue Vegas...plus contend with the wolves.
The Wolf Pack still has to have a big "Blood Moon" rampage/go after the remaining Vampires .
.........After all that's dealt with...the I can wrap this RP up and we can start ironing out the sequel details...( of course...if you'd like to start RPing the sequel frame work here...please do so.)

Explain
...Well,clearly no character in Empire can affect Pontius ATM...so there's no reason that he and those with him (as well as the occupants of the Crooked House) couldn't be "keeping busy"..
For example, you could RP certian "goings on" that after everything in Empire wraps, the various survivors (if there are any) could be made aware of through their various contacts...and then decide f they will pursue the situation.
This sets up an arc for current characters to move into the sequel and still allows for new characters to be created when it launches...plus it gives a bit of a peek at what can be expected....
For the most part it just allows you to get up to some nastiness and began to set the stage for act ll.

Great scott! He's alive afterall! Good to hear from you.
Fitzz, I'll try pming you my plans tomorrow or late tonight. I have a test at 9:00am tomorrow so I'm a bit tied up.
Little Bedrich rolled over in his bed for the eleventh time that night, unable to fall asleep. The night was especially scary, the branches hitting his window were nightmarish claws belonging to cannibal giants seeking a way inside his room. The house settling was a chorus of demon footsteps, each one looking for him in the dead of night. Night was always scary to Bedrich, but tonight was worse. Something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it. His dad had checked under his bed for monsters before he had crawled under the covers, as he did every night, but that didn't mean they weren't lurking in the closet. Bedrich almost wet himself as the stairs creaked, throwing the covers over his head and shutting his eyes so tight it hurt. His parents said it was just the house settling, and Bedrich was about to assume thus until the stairs creaked again, as if something was making it's way up to his bedroom. Another creak, and the faint sound of water dripping wood. When the stairs creaked for the fifth time, Bedrich ran for his parent's room, throwing open the doors as he shouted for them to wake up. His father yelled angrily for him to go back to sleep, but when Bedrich insisted, he looked down the stairs, and examined the ground floor, showing everything to be perfectly normal. Bedrich was sent back to bed, still not convinced. When the creaking did not return, Bedrich began to drift off to sleep, thinking he must be imagining things. After about an hour or so, he was awakened by another creak, this one sounding as if it came not from the stairs, but from outside his door. Bedrich cowered under the sheets, crying softly in fear. Under the white shield of the blankets, he heard his door swing open, and footsteps entering his room, which stopped in front of his bed. Suddenly, his sheets were yanked from his person, exposing him to the cruelty of the night, and the creature standing in his room. It stood over nine feet tall, with a slightly stooped back, and clawed arms that nearly reached the floor. It was a great skeleton, yellow with age and dark with blood, which dripped in great quantities upon the floor. It's skull was that of a horse, drooling gore from it's snout. Two small, human eyes glared out from the skull with mocking cunning, as if laughing at his helplessness. "You've been a naughty boy, Bedrich," said Tommy Rawhead, grinning an awful, manic rictus-smile.

Booyah first rp in some time, its short but i'm tied-up for the moment. (in the rp)
BIC:...
Vegas looked up at the small peer of light dangling from the ceiling. The light danced before her eyes, hypnotizing her. She couldn't remember how long she had been here. Al she knew was that that wretched light kept burning in her weary eyes. The rest of the sober room was filled with dar shadows, the only thing keeping her company was a broken chair in the corner. She mused that most people would be screaming, begging ... but she lay perfectly still. She had felt a calm closing over her. She had done what she could. And now it was over. Vegas felt no regret for the things she had done. A smal smile appeared, cracking the crusted blood on her lips. she remembered the night she first met James, his calm assurance, his caring arms. He had asked if she really wanted this. He had asked her this a few times, each time on the day they firs met. Vegas had never given an answer. Hate was what she felt in those day, but now when hate had no meaning she looked into the light. Vegas was never a sentimental girl but still she whispered, "With all my heart." The words echoed through the room as if the walls decided that these words were worth keeping.
Vegas heard the soft noise of footsteps resonating from under the door. The door cracked open, a second light dropped into the room. Between her closed eyes she saw the thrall nearing, his hand gripping a dagger. Blood, her blood still hanging on it. Vegas felt someone gripping her shoulder. She glanced up and looked at he stark loving face of James. Nothing could hurt her.
The thrall looked at Vegas, something had changed. He couldn't figure out what. She was looking to a corner a soft smile dangling from her lips. He placed his dagger on the hunters arm and drawed blood. "That'll wake her up." he grinningly tought, looking at the soft trickeling blood. ....... There wasn't even a reaction, she just layed there .... smiling into oblivion.
The hunters were locked and loaded, altogether three vehicles would be used to transport everyone there. A tow truck from "The Werks" outpost, the van with the bomb, and the truck containing several other hunters were lined up in that order, the tow truck would knock any debris out of the way for the other two vehicles following. Andy had put the riding jacket over his clothes and was about to put on his helmet when Wendy approached him.
"I know we probably shouldn't be doing this now, but I just want you to know that I think I love you." Wendy said.
"I think I love you too." Andy said as he tried to put the helmet over his head, Wendy stopped him and planted a kiss on his lips.
"Ahem, we have a job to do." Miranda called out from the truck behind the van.
The couple stopped and Wendy retreated back to the truck, blushing, as Andy quickly put the helmet on and got into the van. The garage became intolerable as the noise of the collective engines bounced off of the walls. .......
The theater was in sight, as the tow truck veered into a different lane the van began to speed up to 35 miles per hour. Andy watched through the helmet as the theater's entrance came into view, the van hopped over a speed bump and the helmet bumped against the roof of the vehicle with a thud. Andy thanked his preparation as he was perfectly unharmed from it. He was sure that the van would careen into the theater's entrance and opened the driver side door before leaping out.
His vision spun as he rolled and only faint glimpses of the van heading towards the theater could be seen. A loud crash and the sound of breaking glass reached Andy's ears as he came to a stop. The truck had stopped to drop off Smalls and soon arrived to the scene as well. The tow truck came to a stop near Andy with a screech and the doors clanged open as Jimbo and Trask jumped out. Trask carried the sword and an extra gun for Andy who received both happily.

Yeah, Nachos, I hate to say it... but... Wendy's gonna die
If she dies Rachel goes too, either that or Dez suffers extreme traumatic damage to his groin region. How it happens doesn't bother me, as long as Dez's crotch is beaten so severely that even its mother wouldn't be able to identify it.
Andy,Miranda,Dez,Rachel,Trask,Jimbo and Wendy are going into the theater to rescue Vegas...
There are a total of 3 Thralls (Chadwick and 2 others) in the theater ...along with The Fallen, who are in one of the lower basements.
Write up and combat resolution to follow shortly...(No work today since Bin Laden got taken out.. )
Fitzz, I knew that you were busy, but I didn't know you were responsible for taking out Bin Laden. I guess you're now out of a job though seeing as you can only kill him once, unfortunately.

Oh and I had a vamp killing dagger, does someone else have it? Or is it in one of the rooms nearby?
Its in the chest of the first vampire that tried to get you while you were getting coffee... wait a second, Vegas never brought Andy his coffee. Okay some serious gak is about to go down now.
Here's the thing guys...The Fallen are 7 ancient Vampires who are ridiculously powerful...
you have the sword, the crossbow, some talismans and some other "goodies"..but these are some serious opponents...so expect to take some serious losses..

@ Silly...Yup..we got the day off,the owner of our shop is a very Patriotic man...when we arrived at work this A.M he told everyone they had the day off to celebrate ... which was great for me since I stayed up until almost 4:00 A.M watching CNN.

An Internet Point says Jimbo dies.
If its true you can have your tainted internet point. Spilling the blood of a big friendly giant for petty internet points, Roald Dahl would be ashamed.

halonachos wrote:Mordoskul, I shall make sure that Pontius perishes in all sorts of nasty ways in the next RP if Jimbo dies.
Come at me, bro.
Why so Pontius can run away, again? You think someone who was once a gladiator would have some sort of sense of bravery.
He was a statesman, Longinous was the gladiator.
Either way, Pontius is a pansy.
Oh ho? And yet the city burs around you and the Hunters are currently getting pulped into gory paste. Also just occured to me, I don't think Andy even knows what he looks like.
Mordoskul wrote:This is doing wonders for our post count.
Shhh, it makes the mod antsy when you mention post count.
But yeah, the city is burning, but Pontius didn't start the fire. The city's been burning since the power triangle was turning. That and Andy set some of Pontius's things on fire, his nice house with the 70" flatscreen, PS3, and walk in closet with over 50 pairs of Nikes all burnt. Andy gets results, sure they may put him in harms way, and sure they may get him killed but they're still results darn it!
... " Let's Move!!" Trask shouted as he kicked the rear door of the theater open tossing in a flash bang and covering as the explosive detonated..
Crouching low,Miranda and Andy entered the delapidated interior of the theater ,providing cover and motioning for the others to follow..
Inside they were greeted by an icy cold,a sense of dread washed over them..." Ay Dias.." Miranda whispered..." You can feel them..." she said.
" Keep it tight people.." Trask said..." Let's find where their holding Vegas and get the feth out of here"...
The Group of Hunters spread out..moving catuiosly but quickly through the ruined interior,..." Here.." Dez called " Found an entrance to the lower levals..."
Trask and the others moved in the direction Dez had indicated...staying low and keeping in cover as they did..
" They have to know we're here.." Wendy began to say...when the roar of SMG's cut her off...
" Down!..Down!!" Shouted Andy, taking cover behind a row of overturned seats...
Another burst of machine gun fire kicked up debris..and Miranda screamed as a round struck her in the shoulder dropping her to the cluttered floor..
" There..in the balconies..!" Dez shouted as he raised his pistol and opened fire.
Quickly the other Hunters followed his gaze...seeing the muzzle flash of small arms strobe from the balcony above
" Bastards.." Andy muttered tossing a flash bang grenade into the upper leval of the theater...the grenade detonated with a bang and a figure came into view above, covering it's eyes and staggering about..
" There...!" Wendy shouted...the confines of the theater filled with the statico of weapons fire, the figure above jittering as dozens of rounds slammed into it's body...with a shriek ...the figure stumbled and pitched over the railing of the balcony plummeting to the floor below...
" He's down!.." Trask said..." Check him...quick!"
Another roar of Machine gun fire filled the air...and Trask fell backwards as a round took him in the leg..
" Feth.." Trask growled firing in the direction of the assailents attack..
" By the entrance!!" Andy shouted.." Another one!!"..he ducked sighting on the figure who held an UZI in hand firing wildly...
" Drop him !!..Drop Him!!" Jimbo shouted as Andy opened fire cutting the attacker down..
The Hunters quickly moved to the basement entrance...taking inventory of their injured..
" You two ok..?" Jimbo asked Miranda and Trask ,checking their wounds...
" We're good.." Trask said with a nod..." We'll cover for you...get down there and find Vegas...and Hurry."
" Right...let's go people.." Andy said ,yanking the doors leading to the lower levals open and tossing a down flash bangs...
The Hunters quickly decended the stairs, coming out in a narrow hallway...
" Which way..?" Rachel said glancing about..
" There.." Jimbo said pointing to a line of light that shown from under a door at the end of the hall.." Check there first...and be careful.."
The Hunters moved rapidly down the hall, reaching the door Andy gripped the handles..." Watch your asses people.." He said swinging the doors open and going into a combat stance..
Inside the dimly lit room they could see the form of Vegas ,she had been bound to an old style torture wrack...her face covered in dried blood...but otherwise seemingly ok..
Andy rushed to where she was bound.." Vegas...hey..." He lightly shook the woman..
" Took you long enough.." Vegas said weakly a small smile crossing her face..
" We're getting you out of here...just hang on.." Andy said as Jimbo cut the woman's bindings with a set of bolt cutters from his tool bag..
Andy cradled Vegas in his arms..." Let's get the feth out of here..!" He said rushing for the door..
" Hey..." Jimbo said picking up a ornament silver dagger of a nearby table..." Isn't this one of those Ancient Knives..?"
Andy glanced back..." Yeah..thank god it's not lost...hold onto it.."
As they reentered the hallway and moved for the stairs a cold laugh reached the Hunters ears...the narrow passage way had gone chillingly cold...
" Ah...my dear friends..surely you aren't leaving already ?" came a voice from the gloom ahead of them..
A dim light filled the hallway..and the shape of Chadwick came into view..behind him...still hidden in shadows, stood several figures...tall and looming...a palpatable wave of unspeakable evil radiated from them..
" feth.." Andy muttered..
" So good of you to join us.." Chadwick chuckled " We have longed for your company for some time now...and I'm sure you shall find my companions a most interesting host.."
" I've had enough of your hospitality" Vegas said, struggling from Andy's arms and yanking a pistol from his belt..the report of the weapon was deafing in the confines of the hallway..
Chadwick staggered forward..a dime sized hole in the center of his forehead..he opened his mouth...as if to speak, then pitched forward sprawling onto the stone floor..
The Shadows behind him moved forward and Andy advanced..The Wrath of Ra grasped tightly in his hands...an audabile hiss filled the passageway as the Fallen recoiled from the blade..
" Feth...we cant get to the stairs.." Wendy said..
" The hell we cant.." Dez said stepping forward and unleashing a bolt from his crossbow...a fierce howl filled the hall as one of the shadow figures fell to the floor..
The others snarled...their glowing eyes shining as they slowly moved towards the Hunters despite their obvious discomfort...
" Bastards.." Wendy said..unslinging her riffle and advancing on the Fallen firing round after round..a dark hand lashed out sending the woman high into the air..and crashing to the floor at Andy's feet..
"Wendy!!" Andy cried out...moving to help the injured woman..
" I'm ok..I'm ok!" she gasped..cradleing her ribs.." Keep the sword on them...keep them back.."
Andy stood quickly slashing out with the thrumming sword as Dez loosed another bolt...another of the shadowy forms hissed in pain..
" It's a fething stand off..." Andy Muttered..." They can hold us down here forever.."
A high pitched whine began to fill the hall...cuasing the Hunters to grasp their ears in pain...
" What is it..?!!" Vegas yelled..whincing in agony..
" feth..it's them..it's them..!!" Rachel screamed..
" We got to get out!!" Wendy yelled
" Yeah...you do.." Jimbo shouted..
Before anyone could react...the huge man was charging down the hallway, the ancient dagger held high over his head ...a sachel of flechete grenades grasped in his other..
Andy stared wide eyed for a moment .." Out!! MOVE!!" he screamed as he grasped both Vegas and Wendy and rushed up the stairs,Rachel and Dez following closely behind...the battered group of hunters lunged through the doorway, slamming it behind them as bellow them the hallway exploded in an inferno..
" C'mon..lets move!!" Andy bellowed at Miranda and Trask..as he and the others made for the door..
Miranda ,gripping Trask moved quickly for the others..." Jimbo?"
" He's gone!" Wendy shouted..." He saved the rest of us...but he's gone."
" Ay Dais" Miranda said crossing herself " Someone help me with Trask...the bullet got his artery .."
Outside the Hunters piled into the truck..
" Move!!" Andy yelled.." Blow that god damn building now!"
Miranda nodded...lifting the secondary detonator and arming it..she bowed her head for a moment, her lips moving softly in prayer..." For you Jimbo.." she said as the truck speed away...she flipped the toggle switch and behind them the theater erupted into a massive fire ball..
" Burn in hell ...you blood sucking bastards.." Trask whispered..." Jimbo...I'll see ya soon bro...have a cold one ready for me.." he closed his eyes..breathed in ...released it in a sigh...and died...
" Did we get them all...?" Rachel asked staring back at the blazing ruins of the theater...
Andy shook his head..." I don't know.." He said..." I don't know...".
.......Ok...pretty big event...lets do the body count..
Jimbo--Dead
Trask--Dead
Wendy--Wounded,broken ribs.
Miranda--Wounded,bullet in her shoulder.
Vegas--Wounded,due to being tortured.
2 Vampire Thralls --Dead.
Chadwick-Dead.
as for The Fallen..they have all been seriously injured..4 of them so seriously that they are out of action for the remainder of the RP...3 of them are still capable of action.
...Well,actually Chadwick wasn't a Vamp...he was the Master Thrall...Pontius Chief "servant" in Empire...of course his death completely screws up all organization for Pontious few remaining minions in Empire...(which now basicly consist of a few Larve and the 3 remaining Fallen).
halonachos wrote:All according to the plan... except for Jimbo, that was supposed to be Dez.
...Yeah..when I was doing the combat resolution rolls I ended up with a random Hunter death in the hallway...now,I could have allocated it to a PC...or killed Wendy or Rachel...but somehow Jimbo giving his life for the others felt right...so...
All in all the Hunters are a pretty battered bunch now...(and the Vamps are as well for the most part)...and The Werewolf Pack has yet to even enter the fray...they will be out for Vamp Blood when the Moon Rises tonight.
EDIT:....
Also...to save some time,I'm moving the game clock to 6:00 A.M. on the morning of the day starting the Cycle of the Blood Moon...if anyone has any "fill in" RP's they want to do...feel free, but for the most part it will be assumed the Hunters are patching their wounded, the Vamps are licking their wounds and plotting and the Wolves are snacking on left overs, napping and feeling the effects of the nearing full moon began...
Meanwhile...more National Guard forces have been mobilized, but Empire City is still suffering from massive riots...
Just so you know...I'm still cooking up an event for you ...seeing as how you and MDS are some of the last Vamps...you can count on the Wolves sniffing you out.
The police scanner sprang into new life;
All units attention, massive explosion at the old theater, 2 platoons enroute. Vehicles spotted heading in the direction of the suburbs, stand by for further orders
You guys heard that, we'll be heading down town. The bastards that did this are probaly alinged with supernats activce in the city, most likely their wolves. we need to track them down and kill them.
I hear ye lass but should we be chasing these monsters, they seem like horrible bastards, and very deadly.
We have dealt with them before, they are hard but we have enogh firepower to take out a whole fething platoon.
Aye yer right there, thbose M16 we loote will be useful in a firefight.
They might be hunters as well so it could be easier than we're expecting but we may as well prepare for supernals as its a worse case scenario, so lets move out guys
What do you think about using my pc's estate as a new base to load up on ammunition and stuff?
Just my two cents...it seems like Vegas estate is about the only safe place you guys have to go...
Of course now it seems that you've all picked up a tail.
Balls. I've been rather through the meatgrinder today, and feel pretty knackered. I'll try put something out before I fall asleep though, just for you guys.
Ryan stood looming over the women. It would be so easy to reach down and tear out her throat. One motion, and it would all be over. But, since his return to sanity, however tenuous its grip was whilst a wolf, Ryan was loathe to such base instincts, and he changed back. Half heartedly wiping some of the gore from his hands, Ryan slowly began to approach the van. Inside was what essentially equated to a mobile command centre: Panels of monitor screens and keyboards, reems of information lying in stacks across the floor, half drunk cups of what on the surface looked like coffee, but smelt distinctly coppery...
Squatting down, Ryan began to sift through some of the documents, absently stroking the scar across his mouth. Something however caught his eye amongst the meaningless names and faces. It was a picture of two young children, obviously and old photo judging by the fading, being hugged by a kindly figure, presumably the father. Something struck Ryan as odd, and it wasn't until his mind strayed to Holly did it snap. It was her in the photo, as a child. The revelation came with more information; she had a sister, someone who was of great interest to the vampires. The more he read, the more he began to formulate a plan. Finding her sister would be a sure fire way of mending bridges burned between Holly and himself. For the second time in several minutes, something snapped. His eyes drifted over to the picture once more. The sister, Sky, looked familiar. Too familiar. Ryan recalled the last few days of his life in his mind, stopping to contemplate how the city had been reduced so fast, until he remembered the incident within his...his brothers house. Ryan shuddered at the thought of his only connection to his past and to better times, gone. The people who had attacked them though, one of them, one of them was Hollies sister, he was sure of it. That definitely threw a spanner in the works. Maybe it was best if he didn't tell Holly. Afterall, hunters are all bigots, and Hunters only ever give the option of suicide or execution to super naturals. Hollies sister would be no different. Sniffing to himself, he folded the piece of paper up, and pocketed it. He then began to rummage for other items of worth...
OOC: So that'll tide me over until the current time: Holly is being treated for her injuries, and Ryan is collecting stuff. When Lisa wakes up she'll....be confused, but that's ok.
Nice one ghosty..Ryan now knows that Holly's sister (Vegas/Sky) is a Hunter and could be a real danger to them both...but he'd also know that she (Vegas) is also in a great deal of Danger as well...
will he reveal what he's discovered to Holly?....stay tuned.
"So we have nowhere to go." Andy said as Smalls climbed into the truck from the building he had been observing from. The structure had been far enough to survive the blast and provided an excellent firing lane just in case something else popped up.
"Not really." Vegas said oddly determined, "We have my place, Colt and I have some pretty neat things there."
"Like we have a choice." Miranda shrugged before a sharp pain stopped her.
They were a sight, mostly wounded, covered in blood, and crammed into one truck.
"Show me where to go." Andy told Vegas as she tried to climb into the front seat, as she did Andy stopped her and ran his hand down both sides of her neck. Vegas stopped in shock at this, "Just checking for bites, nothing else." Andy assured her.
The burning city caused an orange haze to hover around the city from a distance, but within the city limits it was black. Anger and meloncholy was palpable and as the Hunters drove through the city and entered a more affluent area. The darkness seemed to get lighter as the streetlights began to actually work in the area.
"You've got to be kidding me." Andy said as the reflection of the lights from the house shined in his eyes, "You live in a fething mansion?"
"Yes, hurry up and get the truck inside." Vegas seemed unashamed that she had kept it a secret.
...........
Inside the hunters began to patch up the wounded and looked around Colt's workshop for ammo or anything interesting, a bright red box caught Andy's eye and he reached for it. The box was surprisingly light and when he opened it up he saw six bullets laying in velvet. He picked one up and held it to the light, flickers of refracted light showed that there was something liquid inside the bullet.
"Oh gak..." Andy smirked as he realized what he was holding.
"What?" Vegas turned around to see Andy still holding the bullet.
"I've only heard about these things." Andy put the bullet gently into Vegas's palm, "They're silver nitrate rounds. Better than silver bullets, you hit a wolf with them and it bursts, spreading silver through the wolf's bloodstream."
"Are you kidding me?" Vegas mused over the bullet.
"These things are like a holy grail for hunters because they're fething impossible to make." Andy put the box down slowly, "Shame he..." Andy decided best not to finish the sentence just in case Vegas was still suffering emotionally from his death. Instead of responding she just continued to look at the bullet.
"How are they against vamps?" Vegas finally asked.
"Not good at all." Andy watched as she moved the bullet around in her hand, feeling the weight and watching it roll in her palm, "Despite what Blade shows, silver doesn't do a lot of damage against them. The weapons have to be blessed for the most part."
"When do we move out?" Vegas asked.
"We don't." Andy smiled, "The explosion will attract all sorts of attention, the Fallen, if any survived, would most likely be bleeding or trapped in the rubble. When the sun comes out they fry, unless the wolves get them first."
"So we wait it out?" Vegas stared.
"Yes, we pretty much won against the vamps." Andy rapped his knuckles on the table happily.
... It's name was Azazael...an evil beyond human comprehension ...ancient ...eternal...he was of The Fallen...A nightmare made real...
The creature stalked quickly through the wreckage caused by the Humani...it's rage boundless...The Humani had escaped them, their possesion of the Cursed Sword of Ra had been an unforseen obstacle...and the foolish heroics of the large human had been another...
The explosion that had followed the large mans charge had caused several of Azazael's Brethren to suffer injury...and though they would heal in time...for now they all lay deep in healing slumber...
Only he and two others had escaped the second blast...the one from above which had filled the theater with searing flame...Zariel and Razael ,who now drug their brethren from the smoldering ruins and into the tunnels bellow the city...
In ancient tounges Azazael spoke with his kindred..." Our Brethren must rest...for them the war must wait...but we..we must be prepared for the cursed Lycans...and ..for the Humani.."
" They will not return" said Razael " They surely belive us destroyed..."
" It is not there return I speak of.." Azazael said...his voice a cold dead whisper " It is our revenge..."
Don't worry though, I was just using that as part of the story. They'll end up doing something, just don't know what yet. Actually I do, I'll call Sarah Michelle Gellar!
Andy had been left alone in the room after hearing about his plan. Miranda came in, slamming the door wide open.
"What do you mean we're not going to do anything pendejo?" Miranda shouted.
"I mean we've suffered enough casualties for now." Andy stepped back from the wounded woman.
"So they get to kill us and we run away so they han heal back to full strength?" Miranda shouted again.
"They should be dead, it was a big bomb." Andy tried to defend himself.
"A big bomb my ass!" Miranda pointed her finger into Andy's sternum, he winced from the pain, "They're not dead until we see them dead and we can confirm it."
"Then why don't you go out by yourself then?" Andy shouted back.
"Because its all of our jobs to make sure that we kill them all." Miranda's voice was still louder than Andy's, "Do you want to leave the Network, is that what you're telling me? Huh, you're afraid of them?"
"No, I'm not afraid of them." Andy tried to stand up to Miranda, "I just have enough common sense to know when to stop."
"fething coward." Miranda's eyes flickered in the light as she stared into Andy's own eyes as if she was trying to look into his mind.
"Fine, we'll go." Andy looked away and towards the ground, "But we do it under one condition, we stay the feth away from whatever comes our way. The theater was too close for comfort and I won't have that happen again. Also everyone's coming with, I won't have them tracking down one of us in the house and doing here what they did at the farm."
"That's better." Miranda said, her voice was still stern.
Andy walked to the door and opened it, the closed door was insulated enough so that the others didn't hear anything. "Pack up your gear, we're moving out. Grab some sniper rifles, machine guns, and shotguns."
"Where are we going?" Wendy asked, he breaths short thanks to her ribs.
"Back to the theater, but this time we're going to play it differently. I won't have anymore close quarters bullgak so from now on we only engage from a distance." Andy's face betrayed his lack of interest in actually carrying out this attack.
"What do you think she said to him?" Dez asked Vegas.
"Probably not much, he's kind of easy to talk into doing things." Vegas shrugged.
"So why didn't you try to talk him into it instead of sending in Miranda?" Dez picked up a weapon.
"Because Miranda's the best at yelling at him so far." Vegas joked.
"He's not a very good leader if he can get talked into doing things you know." Rachel added in.
"Not so much that he gets talked into doing things he wouldn't normally do, he wants to go out to kill them but he just needs a little push sometimes." Vegas thought about how Andy had dealt with Danny, "Plus when he's determined enough he can do some serious damage."
Before Andy jumped out of the mansion Vegas yelled at him. "Are we going to use the old vans?" Andy stopped dead in his tracks. "Ofcourse, but if you have something better." "The door on the end of the hall, andy." He nodded and walked down the hall. Vegas could have sworn that she heard his jaw drop to the ground in amazement. "How the hell did you get all that stuff", he asked gesturing at the large ammount of beautifull cars. "The vans are in the back." She said ignoring his question. "They have bulletproof glass and better engines than your pieces of gak." Andy looked down on her, how did she got all this wealth? Like the first time they had met he felt the answer hanging on his lips, but couldn't find the answer. "What are you still doing here?" Vegas asked looking at the mesmorised Andy. He quickly pushed the toughts out of his mind. "Guys lets get our ammo out and in these vans. Vegas looked at Andy giving orders to his men. One day he could make a great leader she tought. Well ... if i don't kill him when he gets annoying once again. "Get your own god damn coffee." she softly muttered. A smile appeared as she followed him.
Vegas washed the blood of her face as the guys loaded up the vans. One of the wounds cracked open sending a wave of pain through her body. "You need some help?" Miranda asked standing in the doorway. "I'm pretty good with a needle and threat. Vegas sat herself down on the toiletseat. "Why not its not like i can go to a hospital right now. Miranda opend a cabinet plundering it for a needle. "Why do you think they came after you? She asked seemingly uninterrested in the answer. But Vegas knew that Miranda was watching her every move. She tought about her father making deals with vampires and their betrayal. Her and Colt's years of taking that coven of vampires down. Miranda didn't need to know. "I have no idea." She simply stated. Miranda stood up with the needle and threat. "Okay" she said still uninteressed. She pulled the flask from her side. Vegas could reek the scent of heavy liquor. This may hurt a bit sweety.
OOC: Vegas now has some faint random scars in her face. Because she is bad ass.
Police sirens screamed down the street towards the town hall, reports over the radio where reporting it was on fire and rioters where massing in city square. As they vanished out of sight, Scarlett stepped into the open night and the lamppost above her and stared across the road at the smoldering remains of the Aphasia.
She gave a half hearted sigh, not so much for the loss of the business, but some of the bits and pieces within the ruin that now lay before her.
The place was gone, and there was no doubt in her mind Sandra lay lost somewhere within the rubble. She walked towards the edge of the pavement and paused glancing back towards the shadows within the alley. Her eyes adjusted for a moment and after a few moments she spotted the outline of the figure watching her.
"Are you coming?"
The shadow slowly moved forward, he seemed interested in everything around him as he walked looking about at the various signs and objects strewn around the floor. Nero paused and looked towards her with a slight whimsical smile.
"Of course my dear, I am just admiring what the mortals have done over the years. Quite, interesting." he said looking up at the shattered neon lights flickering above them. Milly's Diner had not survived the madness of th past twenty four hours it would seem.
"you don't get out much do you?"
"When it suits me, I just have not been paying much attention" he muttered looking at the sign for a few more moments before walking up beside her and staring at the ruined building across the street.
"Yours?"
"It was, not much of it left now, hopefully my car is still out back."
"Lead on"
Scarlett crossed the road, it seemed quiet here, but in the distance she could hear the sounds of gunfire and sirens. Nero followed as she lead him across past the side of the Aphasia building, cutting across the small clearing between two large buildings a few hundred feet away from the entrance before reappearing at the rear. She walked up to her car relieved it was still there and hopped over the door into the drivers seat.
Nero walked around to the passenger side and cautiously looked over the handle before yanking at it and allowing a brief grin as the door swung open.
"How long have you been resting?" Scarlett asked looking at him, she'd not seen a vampire with this lack of modern understanding since she awoke from her torpor and looked in the mirror.
"Long enough. Although let us discuss that at our new location. Are you sure this is for the best?"
She nodded as she fumbled around in the glove box, her fingers flicking through CD's with a slight frown on her face.
"One thing I've learned since I woke all those years ago. Moving on in the new world is not a bad thing, it's kept me alive more times than I can remember."
He noticed something is the pocket of the door next him and his long slender fingers withdrew the odd plastic case, he stared at the darked haired Human standing in what seemed to be some kind of room.
"A very wise outlook, pray tell child, what is a Flamingo?"
Scarlett glanced up with a smile and snatched the case off him.
"Just what I was looking for." she said softly and started the ignition..
Nero watched as she drew the small silver disc out of the case and pushed it into the dashboard of the car, he pondered on her strength to slide it in so easily without breaking the vehicle. As the music started to play, he looked towards her with a broad smile.
"Mortal music of this time, most interesting."
"It's a introduction to your new home, well if you stay."
"Let us reach the location first before I ponder on such matters."
You woke up in the rusted frame... Of a burned out Deville
Scarlett drove out onto the road a few stragglers appearing down the road to the south and the city centre, she watched as they fought one another caught in some kind of rage.
"Any idea what caused all of this?"
Nero remained silent, looking upon the road ahead of them.
Your legs are shot and they're flushed with pain... but you can't keep 'em still
Driving along the road, she kept any eye out for anyone daring to try and block the car, but at this end of the city, most of the citizens where hiding or had already left the area.
"We aren't going to make it very far away before the dawn you realise?" Nero mused as he watched the buidlings as they passed.
The sun sets and you're afraid ... of that itching in your skin
"Yes, but we'll be far enough away by then I won't be giving it much thought."
Nero glanced at the young vampire beside him, she was so fresh, little a budding rose on the night air compared to the darkness he was used to. Perhaps visiting the world through her eyes would make an worthy distraction until he was called uopon again.
"Indeed, a worthy move."
You stumble down the boulevard... of neon encrusted temple
They passed the football stadium, flames licking from the upper seats, the shadows of figures running along the underside of the bowl like dome. Carnage was out this way as well. Neither paid it much heed the car was moving at quite a pace, and no police had the time to draw a concern to such a trivial matter during the chaos befalling the city.
You're looking for the grace of god... in the arms of a fellow ...stranger
"Is this common of the mortals now, I must admit I am uncertain if I dislike it or not." Nero asked motioning to the speakers beside him.
Scarlett glanced at him as she turned the car onto the freeway that led out of the city.
Disciples hand you catalogs of concubines... as you stumble down the boulevard crying... 'Hoooosanna'
"It's one of my favourite things since I returned from the shadow of sleep." She said with a smile.
Nero nodded and listened settling back into the seat.
Welcome to fabulous... Welcome to fabulousss... Laasss Vegaaasss
The music faded into the distance as the car sped north out of the city, figures screaming under the spell of madness that griped the city.
Scarlett glanced in the wing mirror one final time as she drove on, the lights of Empire City fading into the night gloom behind her. All that mattered to her now was returning to the distant city she considered her home.
