I just got this pic of the Apocalypse templates, "Big gun dice", the rulebook, and the special edition bag.

hmmm, looks pretty, but not much new except that barrage template.

not much new except the barrage template? Take a look again at the rest of the templates man....they are huge, they are not normal size.

Yeah the two barrage templates are as wide as the rulebook and the super mega flamer must be at least as long as the book is tall so ~11"

I can't see anything special about the dice though scatter and a couple with a Adeptus symbol for a 1?

something is up with the dice....you can see the adeptus mechanicus symbol, 1's, 3's, 5's and 6's so....whats the adeptus side? 2? 4? both? notice the size of the dice compared to the scatter...are they uberdice?

I'm guessing that it's only those two dice with the AM symbol, which will be either a one or a six. The other 4 are just regular D6s.

Woh. That's pretty lame for $100.

Apocalypse book: Compulsory

Templates: Pretty much required. Again, compulsory.

Dice: Huge waste of cash

Back pack: Reminds me of the canvas bags from WWI. Too bad it has all the imperial crap all over it. As dorky as it is, I have to admit it has a high pragmatic use not often seen in GW products.

It has "I R Dork" written all over it and sideways, but I still have to give GW a B+ for a good showing of effort.

The backpack package deal is a sure fire miss for me, as I wont need the dice or the pack.

It is nice to finally see the templates, however. Likewise, the book cover as well..

Its also good to see the dice and pack, so I know I can miss this wonderful deal.

I dunno. It looks like my machete would fit nicely in that long side pocket...

I'm in for the templates regardless, and seeing they're glowy green makes me even happier. 10" pieplate? 18" flamer? Delicious! Now to VDR up something that can use them

I like the pack. Won't have to carry all those other packs around. Looks big enough to carry most of what I haul around.

Unless you're at a mall store and play in the table right against the window, people can still be socially cool and discrete about their dorky hobbies. It's like the guy who wears a trenchcoat when going to the porn shop; nothing wrong with it.

Sadly, you can really only be fashionably discreet with a good bag if you play warmachine, Hellfury. The amount of stuff you need for warhammer makes it impossible unless you're willing to travel back and forth from the Hive of Dorkitude.

Thanks for the whole thing! The forward mounted sponsons & turrets look unfortunate on that one 'blade, and I kinda dislike the turret on the tank in general ... A bit weirdly high, but looking at the russ I guess this makes sense.

Awesome stuff. This and the Ork codex might get be to be all hardcore again.

I wonder what else is getting the mega-flamer. AFAIK that's the template to match the warhound titan's mega-flamer ... which I'm guessing is basically a mega (+1S, -1AP), blast heavy flamer as far as VDR goes. My chaos lads may be getting some BIG tank - it has to be a warmachine to get mega and blast - with something similar. ~18" of S6 AP3 napalm

So now chaos have them as a mbt too.

The Vindicators have been in the Chaos Rumors for a while now.

I called my GW rep on friday bugging him for info. Apparently that "variant" baneblade is Yarrik's personal baneblade.
Also every 40k tank is being boxed in a buy 2 get 1 free box. The whirlwind box (pictured up there) is 2 whirlwinds and a landspeeder (used for spotting)

WOW!! never saw that coming, I thought it would be like buy 2 get 1% off the 3rd or something. Looks like GW is finally listening or has come to the realisation that their products are grossly overpriced.
What I also would like to know is how much is that tank army/company going to cost

Looks like GW is finally listening or has come to the realisation that their products are grossly overpriced.

Or it could just be that they are releasing a rules supplement that covers large-scale battles, and so are splash-releasing a heap of bundle deals so people buy more miniatures for it.

I wouldn't expect any of these Apoc-themed multiple boxes to be around for very long.

I'm thinking at least until Christmas since the Ork release is early '08 right?

They'll just be a splash release. One run, and when they're gone, they're gone. So some boxes will be out within a week or so, while the less popular stuff will hang around in stores for a year or two.
