Thought I'd share my other WIP with everyone for 5th edition....

So I procrastinated basically all of last week and didn't start painting until Saturday afternoon. I did do this Painboy Friday night though...




Eventually though, I did actually start on everything...


I'm now about 75% done with the Warbikers, 50% done with the Lootas, and about 20% done on the Spikky Trukk. Wish me luck!

Within roughly 9 days, I was able to paint up 10 Warbikers, 1 Trukk, & 10 Lootas for the GD Chicago 08 Combat Patrol Tournament - not to anything special, but TT standard.

Unfortunately, out of 20 available slots, only 6 people played the AM Tournie. It was a blast though I came in second to last. Even though I had more than enough Dakka to take care of some Ummies in the first game, I scored no Victory Points. In my second game, I was soundly beaten by another players CP of a Harlie squad and Ranger squad. In the final game, I also had more than enough Dakka to take care of more Ummies, but I failed to destroy the Daemon...

Even tough it teleported RIGHT NEXT to my Deff Dread and Boyz squad, my opponent was able to kill it with a well-placed Plasma gun shot.

But, I did get a sweet little consolation prize of Chaplain Grimaldus (hurray, more servitors!)

In between rounds I was able to get some (rather bad) shots of the new Black Reach sprues. They are REALLY nice! Detailed, well moulded, and everything is properly proportioned (yes, the new Nobz are a bit smaller than the metal ones, but are very characterful).
