I used a blend of regal blue, enchanted blue, icy blue for the cloak and just used a very fine hand with skull white to add stars and shooting comets etc
...
I added a noble that I've been working on (The one with a GW and Reaver bow)
Also a WIP shot of some archers.. I got the spearmen head to go on their bodies now, finally

wow, looking good so far. I especially like the BSB shield for some reason. I like the spearmen heads better too! I might steal that idea BTW. Actually I steal an idea every time you post so keep it up! But your making it difficult for me to finish my marine army. wanna get back to my HE now

Just saw your email and they look good! I would only suggest taking the yellow/ochre to almost white. Id say bring hte purple up too but I think that would be enough.

Badab Black GW wash over Reaper Shadowed Steel. I like reaper metals for pretty things like HE.

So I'm pretty much conveyor belting these guys...
The headless spearmen will be my champion. he's using a noble spear (its alot bigger than all the others) and using a special head for him that im painting seperate on a pin.
The armless spearmen will hold my standard that I prepainted up above (the full moon with longsword/clouds)
I'm painting the bows and shields seperate so things go easier when painting
