The tau have the most advanced weapons and tech in the galaxy so is it not reasonable to assume that they would be able to take over the galaxy? So far no one has been able to stop them so they have alot of momentum going. but i dought GW will let them reach their destiny of galactic domination.

im sure the Tau rule over MANY galaxies. now the Universe OTOH is a laughable joke! There are many other groups that have just as much a chance in some day taking the whole shabang. Obviously Im going to vote the Orks, simply because they can NEVER EVER be truly beaten. AND the fact that they are so resilient makes them super badasses. really id say id be more like the Imperium,tau,Orks that have the best chances of ever seeing that goal. The Imperium especially when the Emperor comes back

I see either the Tyranids, the Necrons or Chaos Daemons conquering the galaxy. Sure the Tau are advanced and all but so far the Imperium has managed to keep them at bay, "advanced" doesn't necessarily mean "better".

Sorry, but have you seen the sphere of control the tau posses? The only reason they are still alive is because all the other races are too busy killing each other!

They were almost destroyed by tyranid splinter fleet (While the Imperium handles hundreds of them on essentially a yearly basis). They were almost destroyed by a tiny Waaagh! (not to mention Orks have 5-6 separate empires that are hundreds of times larger then the Tau's!). And the Imperium has more humans on three hive worlds then the Tau Empire has in pretty much their entire dominion! The imperial of man destroys more of their own planets in a single year then the tau control.

Tau are pretty fun and fluffy, but they are the fluff equivalent of a de-clawed, developmentaly disadvantaged kitten when measured against the imperiums' other threats.

I think tyranid and necrons have no chance of taking the universe, DESTROYING it maybe but not controlling it

or, because the Tau are artificailly dynamic they eventually get bored of having got the whole universe in their hands and leave for a while so they can come back and conquer it again!

just because the Tau have a lot of momentum now doesn't mean anything. Back in the day humanity was a young, dynamic race with a bright future.

so are you saying their big ethereal man dies and gets put on a golden throne/toilet and they all worship him? Besides in 10,000 years the whole universe will probably be dead except 1 guardsman who missed all the fighting and slowly goes insane...

Wouldn't the Tau be limited in the size of their empire by the fact that they lack psykers, and therefore can not traverse the galaxy nearly as fast as the humans/eldar/ect?

Or have they made friends with a psyker race yet?

The Tau hit like little girls in CC so they could never conquer the whole galaxy.

The Tau have an allied species that moves ships by psychic teleportation. They are called the Nicassar.

I am a big supporter of the "greater good" , but unfortunetly, the imperium can easily crush the Tau empire if they really wanted to. But who knows, maybe when the emporer finally dies the humans will finally learn to submit to the empire to save themselves from all the other encroaching aliens.

Those who have commented that the Imperium could eliminate the Tau with little effort are right on the money. Indeed, some elements of the Tau forces owe their very lives to the generosity of one of the most famous Chapter Masters in the history of the Imperium ( go on, deny it, I DARE YA )

Orks will be the victors as I think there are just so many of them!Oh.........yah and the Tau suck,for all there technology they can be crushed easily.Plus they'd be nothing without all there allies!

What I've just read in the codex states that they barely register in the warp, so whilst they're not nulls, per se, they don't exactly have much psychic potential.

I suppose GW put that in so they could still suffer from psy attacks and such but would have to respond in a manner more suited to their fluff.

But Tau - galactic domination?
1)New race = pushed by GW. 2)No longer new = momentum ceases. 3) no new codex before 30.02.2030.

the tau control a dominion the size of pin head in galaxy terms and the only reason why there not completly wiped out or brutely conquered by one of the warring factions is simply no one realy cares about it or has time to care about it.emporer save them when the giants of the galaxy do take a look at how nice and scrupious the tau are... mmm, easy pickin's
