I had some issues with the server I had my pics on in my first thread so I just made a new one instead of messing with all those pics on the old one.

Questions, comments, suggestions and Crits welcome.

Here is the first one. It started like this. Well, actually it started as a "FOR SALE" sign and some old models I had in the garage.

Well, there it is again. I did not put all the pics in. I tried to make it a bit more condensed.

When i first saw the first one unpainted i was a little skeptical. But painted it rocks ! it looks great.

Cant wait to see the second one painted now it looks even better than the first.

The rocket turret and barbed wire spikes look cool.

A couple of more improvements to the 2nd BW.

Just don't tell the wife you are using her curlers for exhaust stacks.

I can't wait for the final product of this. Your skillz are like the best (for a beginner) and even if you were a vet they would be mad.

Not a great pic but there is the first side turret gun.

I absolutely LOVE these engines... and it looks like you took the advice from the end of the previous thread from somebody to have them "spill out" even more

Can we get a front and back shot of it in its current state? The back looks like it might be a bit flat, like it wants a back balcony or door or something to balance it out

Also, I don't know if it will harm the plastic, but if you paint those straws with glue it might stabilize them in their current position. It would be a shame for them to bend and flake off paint at the bendy points... unless you want to leave those points unpainted for a different effect!

I can get a pic of the front and back in the next day or so. I have not finished the other side yet. I have been a little tied up else where. The back actually is pretty BLAH atm. It is just open under the big turret but you will see that in the pic. As for the exhaust made out of straws I have glued the top plasticard piece to the small turrets above them so that they will not move on me. I am still need to put gas lines form the tanks into the engine area and I am probably going to put some sort of small plate over the tanks.

Nice I followed most of the first thread and now I'm sure going to follow this one. Where did you get the for sale signs and what are they made out of? I might try my hand at the same thing. Hope you don't mind if I copy you =P

I do not mind at all if I get copied thats what this is for.

The sign came from Lowes. They had 2 different thicknesses and they are made of plasticard. At least I am pretty sure it is. Pretty new to this gig but it sure seems to work good. Some places did not have the plasticard stuff so you may have to try and look around. Some of it was plastic but was corrugated.

Very nice work. I lost the impetus for crazy scratch building years ago. Now, with GW's price hikes, I just might have to take it up again.

k cool thanks =) If I do get around to making anything then I'll post a thread for it. Also I did try making some cheap buildings out of thing Styrofoam sheets and I only use them when playing at my house since I have no other terrain. Other than that I'm afraid that they suck...

OK as requested a side, front and back view as it stands at this point.

As you can see only one side is done. I have added a Lobba and I am still got work to do on it and that area.



Here is the finished side. I did not take a pic of the unfinished side.



And now a peek behind the curtain. I am stumped about what to do here. Some suggestions would be nice. I am thinking that I will beef up the walls for sure. Dont want that KillKannon to rock the thing apart.
Probably gonna put some kind of floor in there for a loading or shell storage area. Probably gonna leave it mostly open though.



I will say that this thing is probably way to big for game play. But I am ready folks saying that "We are orks built it as big as you want." I will take some pics with some boys on it and maybe my GS trukk beside it for size comparison.

I am not sure I want to finish this now. My brother, who plays space wolves, is dreaming of blowing my poor creations to bits.

We're space wolves that is our job blowing stuff up and kicking tail.

Havent worked on this BW in about a week but here are the additions to it. Might be hard to see but I got an ork by the labba and lots more rivets done. Got a couple of SM heads on pikes ( a few of my brothers spacewolves are now headless, dont tell him. )
Almost done with the second side then I am going to on to putting a good bit of nasty spikes and such on the front.

I think I am finally ready for some paint on this thing. I am still short one twin big shoota but I can get that later.







AND THIS THING KEEPS CRAWLING ONTO MY TABLE SO IT MUST WANT TO BE MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT A CONVERSION.
