Hi there again guys.

Well its been a month or 2 since I last posted some of my GS converstion work, anyhow sometime has gone by & in that time I have had 1 of the Converstions painted by a good pal of mine.

Thought i'd post my newly painted (Grand Master Belial) on here for you all to have a look at.

I have seen some nice work from my painter in the past but this has to be the best yet.

Hi, let me start by saying that that is a very impressive model.
However I assunme that anyone at your level doesn't just post to get admiring comments, so heres some constructive criticism.

1) The Fur on the back is not amazing, perhaps you want to spenda little mor time so thee are no flat bits ad perhaps lifting some strands over the others to increase the impression of depth.
2) I love the idea of the weapon but I have to admit that I does just look like a plasma gun glued to a chainsword. I think you need something that looks like it could power the chainsword and also someway of asthetically connecting the two parts of the weapon together, evern just witha few cables.
3) Last is really minor point but it would look cool to have more ork debris on the base, and you are definetly up to it.

The paint job is amazing, I am not sold on the chainsword staff with the red plasma gun on in, it kind of looks slapped together.

But over all i give it an A+

since you've heard it a thousand times already, I won't waste your time telling you how stunning your (and your painter's) work is.

The only thing I can even think to say is that the plasmagun end of his staff needs.... something. the plasmagun bit doesn't mesh 100% to my eye. Some kind of power cabling might tie it in better, but I'm not sure where said cabling would lead to.... the bottom of his gauntlet, by the elbow? I really don't know It just doesn't sit completely right to me, like almost everything else about this model

I really like the model and paint job, but.....

Belial is armed wrong. He has 3 load outs
1. Lightning Claws
2. Stormbolter and Sword of Silence
3. Thunderhammer and Stormshield

That aside I really like the cape, standard, and shoulders.

This is awsome ! , with that said I have to agree the weapon is off and the fur just dont match the rest of the green stuff skill . I mean the rest of the sculpting is really awsome than the fur is just nice not awsome .

And dont call him a named hero if he is not going to be armed right , makes and awsome generic hero that I would love to call my own .

I seen some of your greens and I love the bulkyness of your marines .

I really have to clear this up as am getting mixed reviews about his WEAPONS.

Ok I maid this GM Belial for no real perpas as I don't play but really like the hole Converting part of it (its fun)

And as this 1 woz not a commission of for sale I disided to make it my own hence the weapon.

I do have the Codex & do know what weapons he is ment to have so lets say ( he woz on the battle field & he ran out of bulits ) LOL

Is a nice paint job. The only issue is the fur in between the wings, doesn't look right to me.

Yeah, like the others have said, the weapon looks like it was slapped together compared to the loving work on the rest of the model. It needs more master-craftyness

gecko, it is certainly a good model, but I keep seeing the top of that staff and can't help but wonder how Belial got a hold of Leoric's Wisdom Owl and decked him out in DA style.

Parts of it are magnificent -- especially the wings -- but I really dislike the concept of having a staff or pole-weapon in each hand, which is deeply impractical for almost any combat-related activity. I know you can get away with some impracticality in space marines -- they're superhuman, after all -- but this guy looks like he's off to do some skiing or Nordic walking, not like he's off to war. Sorry. :(

Would look awesome if you got rid of the right-hand staff and replaced it with a mighty sword though...
