Huh. Looks neat so far. Avatar was a great show. Hopefully M. Night Shamafragelisticexpialadocious doesn't fark it up.

Unfortunately the kids will make me see it unless I can con She Who Must Be Obeyed into taking them. Sigh.

For those that want to throw fits about the name, long before the TV series some other no name director had the trademark to "Avatar" so they didn't want to create confusion by having to movies around the same time with the same title.

The show had an interesting art style, and it looks like they preserved at least some of it (the ships) so it might be worth watching. I only hope they don't try to emulate the overly serious aspects of the last season.

Not to mention I believe Cameron's epic will be coming out this fall.

This guy is too absorbed in his own hype. I'm not sure he's going to go quietly without remodelling the Avatar world to fit his own "vision". Hurr.

They cast Dev Patel and Aasif Mandvi. I'm somewhat interested just because of those two.

I'm not sure what to think about this one, don't think It'll be really good though...

I saw the trailer right before Revenge of The Fallen 9I'm a Transformers nerd, so that movie was AWESOME) and I have to agree with whoever said it up thread, it just looks incredibly DULL. I know they're being faithful to the cartoon (which I freely admit I never got in to) but when Aang flips down the hood of his JediNinja cowl thing, he just looks ridiculous. The movie may merit a rental if there are some better trailers, but it's also a Shamalamadingdong movie, so that's a minor negative.

Avatar is imho the friggin' best cartoon ever. The show is simply fantastic.

The movie looks...okay...I guess. It sure doesn't look nearly as bad as Dragonball Evolution (btw. has anybody seen that one?).

So far, it doesn't look bad. But I just don't trust Shyamalan anymore. Though he admitted he likes the show and wants to do it justice, but then again, that's what Ryan Reynolds said about Deadpool.

And that's why Ryan Reynolds has been pushing and pushing and pushing for a Deadpool movie actually based on the comics?
That's why they added the alternate ending where Wade picks up the head of what they CALLED Deadpool at the powerplant?

i figure since its based on a cartoon, and we know what happens in the cartoon already.....we'll hopefully not get one of shyamalan's surprise endings that ends up making the movie suddenly suck.......like in the village......i enjoyed that movie, right up until i found out what was actually going on

I hope it stays true to the show, which is the most awesome animated show I've ever seen. Yes, I'm a turbonerd, and I consider it to be even better than my other favourites like Death Note and Full Metal Alchemist. This show is not just a kid's show. I'm surprised that it wasn't picked up sooner TBH.

Have you ever seen the show Fraz? I mean like a full episode.

I cannot follow these new shows, I remember being just as baffled by the content as any of these other new shows. Granted it is a pretty cut and dry plot, so it is relatively easier to understand than Ben 10 for instance.

Frankly, if I cannot understand what the heck is going on, I might as well be watching Dragonball Z on fast forward for the really epic action packed feeling. These cartoons just talk waaaay too much, and never really get anywhere. Another baddie, not the classic villian, but a twisted and confused villian at every corner. What happened to good old fashioned taking over the world?
