I've been lurking on the forums withough making an account for a while now and finally decided "what the hey" and signed up.
I collect quite a few different armies for both 40K and WHFB. I've had 40K for some time but it is only really in the last year that I thought I would get my act together and paint up an army ready to play with and get into the game.
Warhammer 40,000
Chaos Space Marines
Imperial Guard
Orks
Tyranids
Warhammer Fantasy
Vampire Counts
Wood Elves (army for my girlfriend to paint)
In total I recon I probably have somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000 points in total.
What I am working on now
I am currently working on actually painting up my armies, what with the fact that most of my stuff is unpainted (I hate painting). At the moment I am painting up my CSM army. Painted up 1 Daemon Prince, 3 squads of 7 men each, and have a further 7 squads left, and then 25 Havocs, 6 dreads, 4 Land Raiders, 1 Rhino, and 2 tripod walkers that I am still in the process of building.
I also have to make a further 2.5 Daemon Princes and a Chaos Lord to make and paint from scratch (reasons for which can probably be found in my 40K fluff on my website's wiki).
I hope to have the majority of it done by the end of the Summer, but it has been going very slowly (I started painting before Christmas). Poke me with lasguns if you see me not painting! 
So, anyway, feel free to make some comments on my painting skills (or lack there of) and say hi

Yeah, that is pretty much what I think about them too, but I like the Kroot models and want to have an army that can include them without too much of a problem, since they don't really fit with any of my other armies, it has to be the IG.

I think you can with chapter approved.

I have no idea, but I have the idea of the IG forming the strike team that come down on the signal of the Kroot trackers (my IG will be drop type troops), so I only really want a handful of Kroot, rather than a whole army.

it sounds cool in my head, so Shh
My IG is drawn fro mthe private security force of a deep space mining company working in the Eastern Fringe, hence they are likley to come into contact with the Tau. My idea is that they engage Kroot mercs from time to time, or otherwise work with them covertly when it benefits the company or does not hurt the Empire too much.
