Just wondered what the average gaming group size is...

Not many of us here. Me and a few mates.
There is a club near by, that some other friends go to, but we rarely make it ... shifts, family, etc. :(

We are kind of building our own little Galaxy:
I'm writing the Story of BlackSpike, Mr Imperial Guard has started on his story and one friend is looking to run Dark Heresy
We'll be writing our own battle-scenarios and making up house-rules and special bitz.

for now, I only have one real opponent, my friend. But I'm trying to get a few of my friends into 40k, and I'm soon gonna try to get some games at my LGS

My Gamesworkshop went out of buisness so we made a gaming club that meets at a library and we have bout 8 people that go. I want a gamesworkshop back soo badly in MA

so many people i can call for a game. any given saturday i can call a reliable 10 people for a game, or all 10 for a mega battle

At my FLGS, there are three or four people I have a fairly good chance of getting a battle together with when everybody comes on Monday night. There are several semi-cliques that only match up with each other, but I've been going there for a few months, and so as they get to know me I might worm my way in. Right now, I'm getting clobbered by one player's wraithguard on a regular basis, so it's a real rivalry. I won't stop until I table those dead sunzabitches!!!

I mostly play with one person the other person is only around when he stays with his father and they don't come to my mother's house that often. There is about ten people at my FLGS. They play campaigns too so there is chance that I would play someone.

I have two friends and we try to meet on Wednesdays after school and on the weekend (Warhammer wednesday) so between one and two. Occasionally there is some other gut who we invite in and it goes to a two v two, or even more fun a battle royal.

Just the lonely one. But given 'the real world' impacts a lot on both of us, I cant play too many games anyway!

Sadly, there are only a few that I have heard of and 1 that I have fought against, and that happens to be my nephew.

Our club has a site, and when ever I feel like playing 40K I just post a message there asking for a opponent. It works fine that way.

I used to have a gaming buddy, but he quit about a year or 2 ago.

I don't play but that's because I have no one to play.

If I was desperate I could find a 40k opponent any day of the week. Fortunately though I am not that desperate. I think that I have 4 solid 'go-to' guys. They all are a joy to actually hang out with (even outside of a game), have competant gaming skills, and shower on a regular basis.

Well I go to game nights every Monday nights at my local gaming store every once in a while and even have some friends that I play with once in a while but there is really only one person that I can count on to play on a regular basis.

on saturdays i usually go up against one of my two buddies (orks and nids) or someone else at my flgs

How "regular" are we taking about? I have about two dozen readily available opponents, but I really only bother playing with about 6 of them outside organized events.

I used to play Fantasy Battle as a group of 4 or 5 of us but since uni started and now recently getting into 40K again i only have regular opponents

I am lucky, I have a little brother, and a neighbour, and a neighbour's little brother, and another neighbour...Tau, Eldar, Orks, and more Space Marines. Not to mention one of the guys is crazy rich so he has an awesome custom table too!

3, there's only a few of us around that play. Although I've found out aboput a club not far that I'm gonna check out, so it could be more..

I got about three people I game with more than others and more than I really should, we have a school club and meet up on weekends to go to a local GW shop to play there.

I have a group of five or so. It always proves to be a good time, though it can get a little loud.

3, technically; though 2 of them live in different towns and the other 1 lives literally just around the corner, so you can guess who I play most ;-)

2. Father and Brother.

3 of my friends I play with 1-4 times a month, and 2 that I see every 2 months or so.

me and two other guys meet up at GW Manchester a couple of times a month and go to Warhammer World once a year

My gaming group consists of 3 ex-roomates two of which now live with each other, another guy who was roomates with one of my ex-roomates, and the guy who will be the roomate of one of my ex-roomates soon, an ex-girlfriend of ex-roomate, and my girlfriends brother bringing me to six.. BTW I've never stepped into any of the 4 FLGS in the area..

I can think of about a dozen people I can easily arrange games with...
