No. Another person can never be trusted. Hell, even trusting yourself is a bad idea.

Yes, very strongly. Even though (similar to what Gwar! said) I don't trust myself, I could trust the other-person to no-end.

I can't write down how it feels/what it is etc. But I'm certain it exists...

Yes, it does, but it has many different forms.

I know that I love the soon-to-be Mrs Stompa and that there is nothing I would not do for her, to keep her safe and keep us together.

Love isnt truly real it is just a chemical reaction in our brain in which were are attacted to other of the species.

-to many points to bother to count.

A chemical reaction taking place in the brain can be measured and that is the very definition of 'real' - therefore, by your rationale love IS real. It exists.

So in conclusion, If love does not exist, then neither does fire.

And if fire doesn't exist, I'll have nothing left to love.

"Love" is an artificial social construct that we have convinced ourselves is important in the process of procreation.

"Love" is not a biochemical reaction. The desire to procreate is. "Love" is just a delusion.

True. However, my mother does suffer from arrhythmia and Aortic valve stenosis, so I quite possibly might have a broken heart some time in the future as a result of a genetic predisposition to heart disease.

Seriously, it's a very odd emotion. Even when they've hurt you more than the worst beating ever could, you would still do anything for them.

Bizarre, irrational behaviour. That's love my friend!

Ugh, you've got it all wrong Love exists, just not as Hollywood shows us.

Love is a multi-part beast. It is part feeling, part attraction, part "chemistry," but not just these things. It's also a daily, sometimes minute-by-minute conscious decision as well as a basis for reason and a reasoning all it's own. It's just as much a mental choice to stay with someone through the down times, as well as the up. It's opening yourself to become one with somebody, in an age where few even know themselves. So yes, it is real.

Or it could look a bit like this:

Love...15 years ago I would have agreed with Gwar, and I still tend to be a bit cynical,as I don't belive in "Hollywood/Oprah/etc." Love.
I do now however feel that there is more than just the urge to procreate,I've been with my current GF for some time,we have two children and I would say that yes I love them all.
Despite the agrivation and such,I feel a sort of kindered spirit with my GF,like she "gets me" (many in the past didn't..or I wouldn't allow them to),and I "get her"..so,if I must put some sort of definition or term to what we have "Love' is fine by me.

I love my guns and I know that even if they don't love me in return, in the literal sense, I trust them.

I do have feelings for one gal though. Just friends right now as she lives 1,000 miles away but she's been considering moving here.

So far though my guns have never let me down.
