Well the way I got off of WoW was when the fake server I used got shut down. Good times, good times*
Uninstall it and make sure all the patches are gone that way if you go to start again you'll be turned away by how long it takes
*I was a member of the GM's guild we had our own dimension and had portals linking us to every major city. Also this one time Nessy flew in through one of the walls of that train thing in the mountains and killed me. There was also this really strong monster thing (black with wings, doesn't help I know) that sat in the courner of our guild place. It would not attack but always dropped cool stuff, but took the entire guild to take it down. Level 60 was the requirement for joining the guild as well

But you haven't killed the C.S Goto.No one can do this because he will kill with his multilasers.
He's a world boss whom only the Games Masters can attacks. They once launched a massive raid with 80 pets + 5 gms and admins and they failed.Multilaser had killed them all.

Aye selling it is the only way to be sure. Of course if you change your mind later, you can always claim you where hacked and get it all back.
Well that's what it seems all the cool kids are doing these days anyway.
Oh and still happily playing myself, although I don't raid much, just do odd stuff like my main Hunter having 91 Vaniety pets.

You are paying $15 a month to listen to people bitch and whine that you aren't good enough while you click a mouse and look at mediocre graphics.
Find ANY other video game you own and ask if you would pay not only to buy it initially, and then also pay $15 a month to play it.
WoW is a waste a money and time with absolutely no redeeming qualities.

The monthly charge to me is quite subjective, since starting WoW I've gone from buying 8-10 games a year, say the 8 for an cost of about £240-280
To buying two or three a year, plus my Sub fee paying 6 monthly, so about £160-180.
So in my case the montly fee is not even a factor as my gaming budget has gone down.
I also have a strong guild that I have made many good friends with, and we play casual so no drama to speak of.
As with all things you get from games what you want, with WoW I have a game I can throw on at anytime and have fun with. Chatting, messing about with alts, even occasionally going on more semi serious raids if we feel like dipping a toe in Ulduar.
So to me the game has many redeeming qualities, as it seems to the many other people who play it.
Oh and the WoW is a waste of money arguement can to be put to all gaming of any kind, so if you buy any kind of games PC or consoles, get over yourself.
If you don't like it, cool, not an issue, theres plenty of games I don't like myself.
But don't start giving a load of 'waste of money, bad for you' nonsense, let folks choose what they want to play, and don't worry about it, there are plenty of worse things to worry about. M'kay.

I used to be hooked on MMORPGS including WoW, Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, and more that I don't really care to list X_X.
They're fun experiences and some of my fondest gaming moments came out of 'em which is probably true for most users if they either had local friends playing with 'em or if they found themselves in a competent and fun guild.
That said if you want to try and fight your addiction try and mine gold or some other boring and mindless task.
Or better yet:
Surf the WoW forums. Its filled with more negativity and angst than even GW forums After a few minutes of surfing and posting there you'll never want to play a MMORPG

As to this MMO stuff... just don't get any of it on me... it rots my brain... EVE failed very effectively at convincing me that any game is worth a monthly fee... because it simply isn't.

I used to play the Wolfenstein remake when I was younger; crazy weapons and all that. Blowing up Nazi zombies is fun times! FPS's are pretty fun overall, as long as you don't get bogged down in the details, and just unload clips as fast as possible. I am a RTS guy myself, but I simply cannot find anymore interesting games in that genre anymore. I really hope someone starts to progress the genre some more. Overall, Myth 2 has to be my favorite game ever. Old school to the max, but fun as all hell... it is really too bad that the server is just full of power players now. Mmmmm... low-res carnage... tasty.
