Fire Wraiths

Among the chapters of the Adeptus Astartes the Fire Wraiths are one cool-headed chapter.They are seen by some more zealous chapters as a unworthy in the eyes of the Emperor.They were founded in M40 at the time of 24th founding from the gene stock of Ultramarines.Their reputation speaks of them as a savior to the imperials and the worst opponents of enemies of the Mankind.They are noted for their clashes with chapters who mock them for not being devoted to the Emperor which earned them the dislike of the several headstrong chapters.


An idea which came a long time ago.

Chapter Master:Artem a veteran of 500 years he has lead the Fire Wraiths marines for 150 years,his armor is an ornate terminator suit and his weapons are both master crafted power sword:Imperator Ira and storm bolter with greater magazine size.
1st company captain:Centurius a veteran of 390 years he wields power sword and Fist of Wrath a power fist integrating meltagun.
2nd company captain:Adelais is one the most battle hardened men in the chapter and he has faced many foes and lived,his successor when he dies is likely going to be assault squad veteran sergeant Talius who wields bolt pistol and special chainsword integrating power field.
Codex Astartes:Fire Wraiths follow codex astartes faithfully as they did since the began in the M40.
After 55 years of creating gene seed through test-slaves chapter was given rights to the Tertacia the planet was unhabited by humans so chapter chose the world for strategic importance in Calix sector located in Ultima,Obscurus segmentum border.
The Harko sector is a sector which among imperial contains a large number of xeno planets so in their early years the chapter was always fighting and in the end a large number of these worlds was conquered by the Imperium.Many marines perished during their early years on the xeno worlds so it took many decades to regain their full strength.Because of that chapter contributes to Deathwatch-kill teams.

Battle of Xala

One of the most famous Fire Wraiths battles was the siege of Carh.The chapter's battle group numbering 3 companies assaulted Xala's capital city which was corrupted by ruinous powers.The marines laid siege to city and gained a large foothold in the city.During the battle brother Talius fought a Word Bearer possesed marine and managed to win,but in the process gained several large wounds. Talius killed him by managing to trust his chainsword in his chest then kicking him from the top of the building in the city at which they were fighting.Even as the marines fought harder the traitor marines started to butcher the population to appease Slannesh.Not long after the massacre daemons started to pour from the city.Ordo Maellus inquisitor Aran called for retreat and then he ordered an orbital bombarding which erased city from the face of Carh.Most of the population in 500km circle was sent to work camps and truth about capital city was hidden.The imperial propaganda tells a quite different story.The attackers weren't chaos,but they were a orks and they not the inquisitor's ship were responsible for the city destruction. Really grimdark.

Fire Wraiths chief librarian

He's been holding that position for 98 years and ever since he send many enemies of Imperium to their grave.
He is a marine of 372 years.
One of his near death moments were when he was battling against a chaos sorcerer,their souls,bodies fighted like never before.
Sensing his defeat the sorcerer began to cast a spell which drained souls of several hundred cultist around him and then he focused it into single blast which he directed against the Tarrus.
Tarrus was greatly wounded but he managed to deliver mortal blow to the chaos sorcerer.The sorcerer fell and with him the chaos army which was destroyed by 1st company.
Wargear:Tarrus wears terminator armor,storm bolter and a mastercrafted force axe Ira.

One of the 1st company boarding actions was the boarding of the modified apocalypse-class battleship Conqueror at the battle of Daraks which took place in 237.M41.
The terminators boarded the ship to aid the crew who resisted the chaos boarding.
The crew have held the chaos at bay for several hours but were losing.
Terminators were led by 1st company captain Erek who is now dreadnought since 302.M41.
They stormed ship slaughtering chaos marines and cultis until they were forced to retreat.
The ship was now free and it destroyed chaos flagship after 30min of fight.
Chaos fleet fought longer refusing to retreat and because of that the imperials suffered a pyrrhic victory.
Battlebarge of the Fire Wraiths which was named Stella Ira had suffred heavy damage but it was repaired later.
The 1st company suffered 8 casualties,3 assault and 5 standard terminators,a terrible loss for the chapter.

3th company captain:Amadeus he is a man who achieved many victories against enemies of man.Two of his victories assault on pirate ship Chapus and battle of Tracias were a near-death experiences for him but he always managed to live.He was criticized by some marines of other chapters for his charges but he didn't pay a heed to them.
At the Chapus he charged against the pirates and he befell a score of them.Pirate leader had thrown frag grenade on Amadeus which had injured him heavily and since that battle he has has a bionic eye.
At Tracias he was injured by Eldar wraithlord which opened fire on him which knocked him but he was recued by the devastator squad which opened fire on wraithlord,the right leg of the wrathlord had been damaged which caused the wraithlord to collapse making him easy prey for plasma cannon of the devastator squad.
Wargearlasma gun,power axe and iron halo.

Chapter color scheme is green with black narrow circles painted on whole armor.But for the bolter and chainsword painter I'm going to change it a little.

8th company captain:Adeodatus is a veteran of 320 years he was recruited from Viceria which is a planet close to Tertacia.He was recruited from local hive gangs and only he from the recruited gangers survived to become a space marine.
Wargearlasma gun and a power weapon shaped as a hammer which he took from an ancient armory on a space hulk.

Chapter Cult
The Fire Wraiths isn't zealous chapter like some other.
Their belief holds the Emperor as their creator,great man and as a their inspiration for great deeds of valor and courage.The marines think of themselves as a vessels of wrath that strikes on Emperor's enemies.The marines dislike heroic charges into impossible odds and see that as a waste of time.
Chaplains generally hold friendly duels between chapter marines.Chaplain of the 1st company Teleus was one of the most important persons in the chapter that molded marines psyche.He was know for beheading dark eldar's archon.

Adelais the captain of the 2th company is a generally very calm person.He isn't zealous and sometimes he was know to calm zealous marines,even to punish them.He thinks of his service as a duty to Emperor and humanity.He was know to fight and defeat 10 large orks that have swarmed him.He frowns on very zealous marines,but he does that behind their backs.His greatest duel was when he faced chaos lord Kyres.In battle he received several wounds,but the chaos lord was also struggling with Huron's power sword and he received wound to his left shoulder.The Kyres last moment was marked by Huron's cursing and power sword passing through his head.

Organization
The chapter follows Codex Astartes faithfully.Their favorite tactics are based on combining squad talents into 1.Like using tactical squad to provide fire support to assault squad or using devastator squad with tactical squad,the tactical squad assaulting the objective and the devastator squad sitting and firing their weapons in the target.They also apply this when using 6st and 7th company or 5th and 9th company.
The 1st company consists of 15 terminator squads and 2 veteran squads.
Current number of marines:920 marines and that includes scouts.

They are not christmas marines and their original color scheme was changed because the painter couldn't make that and I'm no master of photoshop.I'm currently developing the chapter then with little luck I'll write something about their history,battles and their current color scheme was chosen because the green and red colors are complementary.

The oldest dreadnought in the chapter is Dascen who was put in the armored shell since 728.M40.He was put there after killing a 12 orks which have wounded him mortally.He is armed with plasma cannon and power fist.

One of the recent battles that Fire Wraiths has fought was the invasion of Makarus system.The system was important to Imperium because it contained an 7 planets which were containing an industrial world Makarus IV which exported a large number of tools,weapons and vehicles to the local systems,hive world Makarus I(which had population of 90 billion) whose main export was it's people who served in the imperial guard or have worked in the hive plants of the planet,agri world Makarus II and the other planets were uninhabited.
The system was invaded by a large chaos host and was led by World Eater dark apostle Efrain.The chaos began the rebellion with in underhives of the Makarus IV.
A month later the chaos arrived and had advantage because the PDF had to fight them and rebels.The cry for help was send to nearby systems who picked it in about a week.The defence force that was sent consisted of 80 imperial guard regiments,skitarii strike force and 4 Fire Wraiths companies.The chapter had send all of the battle companies.
The force had arrived in 3 weeks and had found the wartorn system with civilian casualties numbering in billions.The civilian death toll was so high because the traitors had launched nuclear strikes on the hives which proved to costly to capture.The marines had send several squads from 3th company to save the planetary governors.The marines have,unfortunately managed to save only one governor,Arnos Neli of the Makarus II.The marines have managed to spearhead the assault of Makarus I with the help of the imperial guard.Agri world was devastated by chaos strikes which caused a large losses of livestock and crops.The loss of food caused several uprisings in the systems.
The uprising were quickly put by chaos and imperial forces.

Chaos managed to sway a large portion of population and had managed to stop imperial forces on several major offensives.
The stalemate continued for 3 weeks until the guard have won over chaos on Makarus IV.The marines beheaded chaos leadership in several battles causing massive riots among cultists.The chaos have held 30% of factories on Makarus IV and although the skitarii have held 70% of factories,those factories were more important to Adeptus Mechanicus because their productions lines were producing supertanks,plasma reactors and all important kinds of machines.Their loss would be devastating to the priesthood of Mars.The skitarii captured the factories after sustaining heavy casualties.The chaos was still strong but had lost much of the manpower and supplies.World Bearers realized that they can't win and so they retreated and in the process had slaughtered a large cultist hordes,to summon daemons which covered their escape.After that the cultist horde was quickly crushed by the imperial forces.
The marines have suffered moderate casualties,about 40 marines were killed,the imperial guard had lost 700,000 men and skitarii have suffered 132,000 casualties.Losses of starships were damaging to the imperial navy which had lost 19 ships and had 4 cruisers captured.
The remaining renegades that survived have escaped to Makarus VII a planet mined-out by the Imperium.The tunnels inside planet were hundreds of kilometers long,the renegades have hidden here and the Imperium had discovered them 18 years later and had send an one imperial guard regiment which had wiped them out.

Don't take offence if I decide later to PM a rewrite of some of your fluff. I don't want to change the content just the grammer. Although I want to offer that most of your battle reports are against chaos even though the system was taken from some as of yet un-named xenos.

Battle of Uracos
This battle happened in Fire Wraiths early history,about 150 years after their founding.The chapter launched all-out attack against xeno Urac homeworld Uracos.The planet was heavily defended,but fortunately the orbital defenses were small so they were quickly eliminated,but the reinforcements from the nearby systems had arrived and chapter's fleet had to fight them.Chapter launched attacks against the north continent but the Urac's forces were quick to react and so the marines had to use another tactic,the teleportation.Terminators of the first company had teleported behind Urac defenses and in next 15 hours the xeno forts were gone.The xeno leadership was beheaded when the chapter master Carusal teleported with 30 terminators to their seat of power.With the ledership gone the Urac's forces were disorganized,but a xeno general managed to rally them,causing another set of problem to the chapter.Battles continued for next 5 months until the chapter had defeated the xeno last stand which happened at planet south pole.
Urac race escaped total genocide and was forced to hide from the imperial retribution.Approximatley 87% of the race was gone.
The chapter had suffered terrible loses,the chapter had lost 180 marines and the Emperor's Wrath was fully rebuilt 90 years after the battle.

@IvanTih: What you have here are plot elements, not a story yet. You may want to write them in bullet form first to make them easier to read.

First I'll write about chapter officers,squad leaders,captains etc...After that I'll do some work on the story.

Master of sanctity:Yass a marine who is an inspiring figure to all space marine in the chapter.He is was personally involved in many victories that the Fire Wraiths achieved in last 80 years like the boarding of an Ork ship Da Bizzy,the hunt on a daemon prince Ha'sra,assault on Dark Eldar position on Jase etc....He wields Crozis Arcanum and a plasma gun.He is 420 years old.


Reclusiam:Narlan is a man who led Fire Wraiths marines into the greater acts of valor and courage.He lost all of his limbs in the confrotation with the ork warboss Tazhar whom he killed with his final strength before falling down,he was rebuilt later by the tech-surgery of the master of the forge Eraklios.He has terminator honors.His Crozis Arcanum was fashioned after an Tazhar's skull and as a ranged weapon he uses a bolt pistol.He is 392 years old.

Defence of Gashak
The Fire Wraiths have answered a distress signal sent by an astropath of Gashak and the chapter have arrived to help the besieged world.Gashak has been overrun by the orks who had enslaved millions of citizens.The 2th company was the closest force so they arrived there and they,the Emperor's champions would hold foul xenos.The 2th company had organized various raid into the Ork territory which annoyed the orks and caused them to launch more forces onto the imperial side.
Here's one of the raids:
"Thank the Emperor that we have arrived",said sergeant Talius upon leaving drop pod.His squad then attacked orks who were nearby.The Talius quickly surprised the orks when he descended from the sky and then he powered his chainsword which tore one ork into two pieces.His squad engaged the orks and had suffered only minor injuries which had healed fast.The ork nob had badly wounded brother Eras,but the Eras managed to parry the second attack and in the swing he killed the nob by burying his lightning claw into his head.The grot horde had descended onto the squad and then the squad had engaged the horde in close combat.The grotz the cowards they were retreated and marines had captured the location.The squad had thanked Emperor's again.The rest of the 2th company on the other side had realized mistake when they underestimated the orks.The company was barely holding them from conquering the planet,company's captain Huron had been injured by a large ork who did the act with his final strength.When the imperial forces arrived the company had lost 9 marines and the orks had ravaged the planet.This battle had brought shame to Huron who had a streak of great victories."Those xeno shall pay"

One of the chapter relics is an anti-gravity platform Hammer's Retribution which is armed with conversion beamer.The platform was created by the Fire Wraiths first Master of the Forge Taris in the join effort with several Adeptus Mechanicus magos.The gunner on the platform is usually a servitor.The platform is rarely used by the chapter,usually only in major conflicts.Before it's brought into a battle it's blessed and sanctified by the Master of the Forge who activates the runes who wake up the ancient machine.The platform was responsible for several victories that Fire Wraiths achieved.For example the platform destroyed an Ork warboss who was driving his kustom deff bike in single shot,the platform formed a hole in the chaos warhound titan's left leg which destabilized right leg of the titan,which in turn fell to the ground and allowed the imperial forces to strike back and defeat the chaos forces.

Recruitment
The chapter recruits hail from 3 planets that are close to Tertacia.
The worlds are:Arcalio-Hive world with population that struggles daily to live and because of that the recruits can use a weapon before they can learn to read,Lakus-Desert world whose inhabitants struggle with beasts created during dark age of technology, the beasts eat them and oases which they must find to survive and that makes them strong fighters,Erak-Feudal world who has mastered gunpowder weapons,the kingdoms that live on the planet think of the chapter as demigod warriors that serve Orask the only god which they worship.
Recruitment tests:
The first test is to climb to the peak of Emperor's Glory mountain range,on that peak fortress monastery lies.After the first test the neophytes endure much more test before they complete final test.The final test consist of three pieces:the first is swimming across Iral ocean,second is to capture a Jare a carnivore which is very tall and heavily armed and third is to return to the monastery with 2 skulls of Herk a herbivore who can defend itself with acid spit.

New color scheme

One the infamous pyrrhic victories that chapter suffered was the Mercior IV massacre.In battle against necrons the chapter's 3rd company had defeated necrons,but at cost of 38 marines.The battle happened in 820.M41.

The Fire Wraiths homeworld Tertacia is a planet located in Tert system.The planet was heavily fortified by chapter over the centuries.Invictus,the fortress monastery of the chapter is located at the planet's southern continent.Marines have placed all types of defenses on the surface of the planet like minefields,traps,defense lasers,bunkers,ammo boxes etc....
The planet was invaded once by the warboss Thazka who led orks in the assault on the planet.Orks had landed their roks into surface and from the moment when they started to attack planet surface they learned price for their audacity.The invasion ended in disaster as the warboss was killed by the rain of heavy bolter shells,after that the orks were starting to fight among themselves which had made them a easy prey for the chapter.When the Orks started to retreat they were suprised by the suddedn fire from the chapter's fleet and from the orbital defences which were retaken by the marines,only 2 ork ships managed to flee the massacre that followed.

Terminator color scheme

New color scheme is better imho. I didn't read all of the fluff, but did you mention what the founding chapter was?
