Ok it's midnight here in Sussex and its snowing...heavily! About 4 inches so far which is very rare for this area. I was so overjoyed that I decided to post on here.

Anyone else having the same experience?

Had four inches in Suffolk, had to crawl home. (15min walk) although I love the sound snow makes as you walk through it, so not too bothered.

Hoping it'll clear up a little by tomorrow mind you, need to get to the shops in Ipswich half an hour away (by car) to finish my xmas shopping.

We had a 15" snowfall overnight here a week ago. Pretty much shut down most of the state for a day.

Very light snow in the Netherlands (tiny flakes), about 1-2 inches were I live...

And still there are traffic jams and railroad problems... argh. Was late for work 3 times this week and probably spend the entire saturday afternoon and sunday evening in a packed train that goes really slooooow (I have to go, I need clean clothes, and there is another session of my group's Cyberpunk RPG).

D'oh! autumn and winter come around every year, and still the Railways have trouble with fallen leaves and snow every fraggin' time! Why can't they anticipate that? why don;t they adapt! There are daily weather forecasts! How can they be so stupid!?

I blame privatisation.

we've gotten a few inches today, which wouldn't be so bad, but i live in the mountains, i made it home, but i think some of my coworkers might be stuck sleeping there tonight

I'm in between Baltimore and D.C., and we're about to take a pounding. It just started, but they're predicting a foot to come down between tonight and tomorrow night.

And this in one of the most congested driving areas in America, that doesn't get enough snow for people to have any idea how to safely drive in it (which basically come down to not doing anything fast... don't brake suddenly, don't accelerate suddenly... but instead people do both!)

Well I'm in suffolk and we've had A LOT of snow!

Was unable to get to work this morning, and the other night, on the way back from a meal, a 30min journey took over 3 hours and including a lot of car-pushing etc.
This afternoon I did however make a snowman!

So yeah, for England especially, a lot of snow.

Its nice having some snow, but I need to go Christmas shopping tomorrow gosh darn it.

To make things worse, it seems Suffolk Coastal are even more inept than normal and haven't gritted the roads. No sign of any gritted roads from here in Rendlesham all the way to the A14, which is frankly crazy.

Thats means we have an A road (the A12) without grit, and snow covered roads including dual carrageways nearly all the way to Ipswich.

Mad hatters, hopefully it'll be done today.
