What is your favorite 40K model classic or new and why?

I have to say the nightbringer c'tan, it looks purely frightening and can take on pretty much anything, being the 40k equivalent of death it has to be my favorite model. or the classic orks goff rockers being a guitarist myself lol

I'm not sure I could pick a favourite... Possibly the Space Marine Terminator Captain.

All GKs. Great poses, fun to paint, and after all these years still look better than most models in the game IMHO.

Newer minis, Id have to say the AOBR Ork warboss. That thing is huge, and powerful looking. Looks like itll kick your ass if you goto sleep.

Older minis, Id agree with GK terminators. Or Inquisitor Cortez. That guy looks badass. Ive used that mini a couple different times

I still like Cypher Model.... the gunslinger.... I mean he has a good pose, and there lots of options for converstions and his backback is cool too...

Id have to say kommandos and thaousand son termies. Have you saw the TS termies? they are beast.

QFT. I don't like BC Stern though, and I wish they'd make a GM for us who suck at P&M.

No, I'd give it to the new Njal model. He's got a ton of detail on such a small model, and you don't deal with reverse wind areas.

Yes i too hate the BC Stern model its not that he is bad but you put the other GKs around him and you think...oh hmm Inquisitor Rex looks infinitely better hence why i now have him as my stand in GM. If i had to pick one model and one model only definitely Inquisitor Rex.

HERESY! That model is atrocious! Seriously, he's HOLDING a spear and the ribbons on it are reversed from his cape which is reversed from his flaming emblem. It's the most static model that is supposed to be moving ever.

Terminators. I don't give a damn what they have, Chaos or not. Terminators make my day. (Analogous heavily armoured units in other armies, e.g. Wraithguard, Mega Armoured Nobz, etc, are okay too).

Dead tie between Grey Knights and Njal. I love the poses on the GKs (Seriously, the one holding the NFW straight out looks incredible) but Njal has some amazing detail work on him, especially in his giant wolf pelt and his raven. Although that raven is a pain in the arse to glue on...I think it took me about seven separate applications of super-glue before I got it to stick permanently.

The tiniest bit of green stuff to the bottom filled the hole enough to let the glue bond sit. I didn't dare pin it though because that would most likely end in a Holey Dove.

I like my old noise marines that look like they are rocking out. its always nice to see a new player look at them and say, why is that squad equiped with scary guitars

Any of the characters in Termi Armour for me, Calgar, Logan, Njal, Typhus, generic Librarians+chaplains+Captains, and lets not forget Lysander or the Grey Knights

BIG fan of Boss Zagstruk. Giant mass of ork and klaws smashing into someone.

The Ork Trukk also has a warm spot in my heart for it.

That aside, Chaos has some pretty fun models to look at. Anything with spikes and blood makes Orks proud.

Really hard for me to pick my absolute favorite. But the one I really like that doubles as bot 40K and Fantasy is the Lord of Change.

Though something has to be said for the original Ork Madboyz - soo much character.

I would have to agree with KingCracker, the AOBR warboss is without a doubt my favorite model in terms of looks.
