This afternoon, after finishing off a thunderbolt pilot, i have a sudden erg to do some sculpting with my new colour shapers, and this is what i came up with









im thinking he needs a pony tale? like old british navel officers.

and i didn't realize how much better i like that head sculpt with hair. without the hair, hate it.

Lets see, tank commander torso (or one of the Cadian command squad ones not 100% sure) Head not sure. left arm, from the cadian command squad, legs from same, right arm repositioned tank commander arm with the extra stuff cut off I think.

I agree with Alpharius, that sneer gives him a great "snooty" look.

I think he looks awesome just the way he is.

loads of stuff to do on this yet, i'm just trying out idea at the mo, inspired by some classic crew sketches iv seem around.

Looking great, especially the haughty look he has. I wouldn't add a pony tail though, he look great as-is.

You've got some great GS skills there. I love the rad suit hat, can't help thinking of the start of the Simpsons when I see it tho (I mean that in a good way ).

I'm definitely stealing the Naval Master idea tho. Looking forward to seeing some more...

Colour shapers, just a local craft store, bt have ordered some more from ebay

Very nice! The second guy really reminds me of the 'Sidewinders' soldier from the 40K rulebook.

Just finished the crewman, what do you think? im going to do another on, but with lightly diff head gear. i really don't know why FW don't do navel crew, people would by them., well i would.

Forget FW doing them - I would buy your sculpts! Really very nice work indeed - real homage to the Jes Goodwin artwork. Do you plan to do any with boarding gaffs? What about doing a Fleet officer in his mid-length coat?

I do have plans to do more Goodwin inspired work, i am going to do more crewmen first tho.

well, i dont know what to say. That you all very much for all the compliments, i will try and get some more pics up soon, i have started on the second crewman, but its not going quite how i want it, he is looking a bit stumpy.
