I see your trukks being downed very early on so plan on inevitably hoofing the nobs forward.

A leafblower IG list might have some serious difficulty putting enough pieplates down to worry you, especially if you spread out to the maximum coherency allowed and have that KFF nearby.

i would have the lootas be 2 squads of 10 instead of 15 and 5. one is really easy to kill the other is not so easy.

I would not want to be on the recieving end of this list when the Waaaagh shows up.

You should practice moving those 190 models quickly.

lets see, 150 minutes is 75 per player and 75 divided by 6 is 12.5. 12.5 divided by 3 phases is 4.133333

you should take no more then 4 minutes to move all those models each movement phase.

practice that.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

OP:

I was with you until I saw the two nob squads in trucks combined with a green tide. :(

Against 2500 points of destructive firepower.....your only two vehicles are going to evaporate on turn1. And probably take chunks of boyz with them.

A green tide is fun, but you need to have them painted/squad marked, and if you don't practice with them to make their moves VERY speedily...I kid you not that you run the risk of being ejected from the tournament for slow-playing. You have less than a week to go, and if you are not ALREADY a green-tide moving expert, I wouldn't advise you using them.

I actually played a IG player that had a similar list to the leafblower list however cut down to 1850. I ended up beating him in the championship game and winning first in the tourney. Of course that list only had 120 boyz.

I know the trukks are a waste might as well take them out. which leaves me with around 90 extra points. What could i add instead?

As for moving my boyz, a lot of people have actually said i move my army quite fast. I dont like wasting time.

Have you given deffkoptas a look? Taking three means those fast attack slots get filled and gives you tank hunters to make your opponents foot sloggers in turn?

ya i know the trukks are a bad idea, i rather just have the nobz walking up but i dont know what to put in for 90 pts.

And i said before im used to moving horde ork armies, and a lot of people have said i move them quite fast which everyone is pretty happy about. of course i will have 30 more boyz added on. Im going to work on marking each squads bases differently this week which will help me for this weekend.

I tired deffkoptas once and they didnt do anything other then die... which is why i dont use them. but with 90 extra points i might just have to...

Anyone else have anythin to say about my squads of lootas?? i kind of like the 15 and 5 squads...

how bought some kommando's?

a small outflanking unit is great fo taking out basilisks and other board edge huggers.

i forget how much he is, but if you could get Snikrot and the kommandos then you can outflank to his deployment zone for some rippy goodness.

ive never liked his unit. hes around 85 pts just for him and 15 each for the rest of the squad. Which are all basically just boyz that can outflank and are a smaller unit of probably around 5 or 10.

IMO, 'eavy Armor on the Boyz mob Nobz is just throwing away points. You won't need it until there's two left in the mob and by then it's too late. Trade the eavy Armor for Bosspoles, don't want your Boyz running from a good stompin!

probably true, but ive had pretty good luck with it so far. i mean if i find something thats worth taking then i'll take it off. i have 90 extra pts if i take out all the eavy armours i'll have 115 extra pts but still what could i put in??

Taking foot-slogging nobs is a waste of points. You're going to lose them every game, in short order, to leadership issues. 350 point units that run after two rocket shots aren't going to stick around in a world with psyker battle squads or long-fang missle units.

Taking trukks in this list is an equally bad idea though.

For the 700 points you're spending on nobs, you could have 9 kans w/ rokkits and another 17 lootas to provide covering fire as everyone else runs forwards.

im fine with that. there are 150 boyz coming towards there ranks. plus with ghazgull i will have 2 player turns of fearless-NESS. i might drop the elite choice nob squad and put in 6 killa kans. but idk if its worth it

I dont like bosspoles. Usually when a mob of boyz loses combat its by a lot. Hoping to roll a low Leadership isnt even worth it. but like i said im welling to take it out to add something else. i do have 3 heavy slots and 3 fast slots to fill

i like dropping the elite nobs for 6 kans.

+1 to Rokkit launchers for the kans. BS3 is so precious.

in fact the WS2 on the kans makes them practically only useful for the BS3 and the Str10 power is a bonus.

Find ten points and get Grotzookas at least. If you want a walker with a flamer, pick up a Deff Dread. 120pts for a cover save is way too expensive.

i also dont have the 3 extra grotzookas... i guess i could throw in a random battlewagon for the nobz instead of the last 3 killa kans.... HA

The bosspole isn't there for when you lose assaults, it is for when you have to take the random tests in a shooting phase.

And deffkoptas are meant to suicide. They don't stay around long and are often sacrificed when their job is done (or zipped out of combat to save the kill point).

Looks pretty solid. I still think that the nob squad presents a little more attractive target, but maybe if they're soaking the fire, the boyz will get where they're going.

Good luck, post a battle report after!

thank you. this list has been buggin me for a while haha, and i finally feel like i have a pretty solid list. However as you said the nobz do seem a bit... ehh. i think i may just drop the eavy armour leaving me with 60 extra pts then just adding another 2 nobz and having a full 10 man squad.

As for ghazgull and my mek, there going to run in different 30 man units. making a couple more scary units/ different targets.

ive been playing horde orks for a while now, and that time still hasnt come. But i mean... who knows it could get me when it really matters. I do have 20 extra points, as well as a addtional 40 points if i take off my eavy armour on my nobz. What you think?
