It's a bit early but this one it just too good not to post!

The latest from Reaper!

http://www.reapermini.com/

RUMSCRATCH! DWARF WERESHARK PIRATE!

It's official. There is no such things as "I can't find a model for my character".

Oh sweet Space Emporer, he has a peg leg and a crab on his shoulder...

Now some of you might remember last time we talked Reaper I made some outlandish claim like "I won't be surprised if their next release is an army of sexy cat girls furries..."

Why can't I call Lotto numbers like this?

Y'know how you wanted to an army of Yetis but didn't have a character model to lead them? Well Reaper heard you. A Yeti Chieftain...

They also put out a big old dragon but I don't think people would be interested in it. I mean not unless they're into TOTALLY AWESOME STUFF. And who's into that?

Biker Sophie is up on sale too

And finally a steampunk power armor guy, cause everyone needs more steampunk in their lives.

Jin got the dragon, and said it isn't nearly as big as it looks:
Jin wrote: Lets just say it's somewhere between the size of a Cold One and a Carnosaur, but closer in size to the former than the latter.

So definitely a cool model, but not a substitute for a mount for a character, at least for most armies. Still, awesome stuff, though!

The dragon looks great, a brilliant sculpt, but maybe for a centrepiece they should have cast it a fair bit larger.... 4 inches tall seems a little on the small size when you compare it to some of Reaper's other dragon display / game pieces... (see below

As for the furries...well.....

Would the dragon be a baby dragon then? Mmm baby dragon. We eat them... for science!!

I like nearly all the mini's here. The furries are great and will sell like hot cakes.

The shark pirate is amazing. So much character and the head actually looks like a shark, not some mutated thing (yes, it has legs and arms... besides the point!!).

Currently collecting and painting Eldar from W40k.

Ordering the Wereshark pirate (not exactly sure for what, but I just HAVE to have him, Traeg, Reven Hero for my beastlord, and Corm, Ghostmane Shaman for my Bray Shaman.

I love reaper. So much.

Yep, Reaper has some great gear (thanks again KK for keeping an eye on their site and posting previews!) - also some good painters working for them... eg. this is the convention only "Sophie"...

I picked up one of those cat girls and called her Mink. She has a sidekick that I made from the Clay golum figure that I named Block.

Mink-Block the dynamic duo of a scrapper and a brick that are a neutral team that can either work as heros or villians.

Mink has cat DNA that gives her an +3 movement and a good +2 increase of her stats.( standard catgirl)

Brick is just like a standard Hulk like guy that can rage every now and then. I was kicking around giving him some shapeshifting abilities, but thought that that might be a little much.

Got Dr Mako, the standard wereshark, too. He takes a bite out of crime.

Does anyone know the scale of reapers minis? I'm guessing its close to GW infantry for human-esque things on there.

At the right of each photo you will find a scale with 1/2" units, but it may be sometimes tricky to apply them to the miniature (subtract base etc).

Meh. I wonder when they'll produce a female soldier mini that doesn't look like a slut... it's so damn hard to find those. I just want a professional looking miniature for my Officer...

Debra looks suited to my needs, if I cut off the gun and put a sword there in its place. Yeah, power swords suck on IG, but they look better than fists.

Bear in mind that she's quite small - whether or not she's too small will be for you to decide. If you want a size comparison, drop me a PM.

Its suppose to be smaller. Its a large red dragon reaper made for Paizo's pathfinder RPG line.....

I have most of the reaper dragons and their huge, but not necessarily easy to use for RPG's

Hope more old fools come to their senses and start giving you their money instead of those Union Jack Blood suckers...

Ahhh - sorry, didn't realise that Pathfinder is designed to be smaller...

So, it's more a "play" piece than a "centrepiece"...? Or is there a distinct difference in scale with Pathfinder?

As always, reaper releases hits or misses. some are good, some not so great. but im thankfull that they pump out alot more good than bad.

and ya hassle free is in a slightly smaller scale, think of them as true scale compared to SM. (not quite, but it gives you a picture of how small they are.)

I have a strange mixture of Cadian, Steel Legion, and DKK, which the fluff being that they're a combined regiment from several decimated ones, or three separate strike forces. So any of those work . I use the commissar drawing their sword as my Lady Commissar, and the Steel Legion / DKK models as the female portions of my Guard army.
