Does anyone know of any gaming stores in the New Orleans area? ive been to Little Wars but if anyone is aware of a closer store please share your information.

If you go to the GW website, you can use the store finder to locate stores within the State of Louisiana (or Mississippi if you wanna look at places like Biloxi).

From memory, because I can't access the GW store at work, there's a shop in New Orleans, one in Slidel, and one in Baton Rouge.

Unfortunately, I'm in Alexandria, with no stores within an hour's drive of me.

We game at Slackerz down in Leesville. It's about a hour drive from Alex. Saturdays are the best days with Sundays being the second.

Thanks for the info. most weekends i go out to Little Wars in Baton Rouge but its a lonig drive.

Little Wars is by far the best. I went there over the past two years since my girlfriend lived there. Now that she's with me in Mississippi, its all online or Jackson.

Used to be Galactic Games in Metairie. But i havent been there since pre-Katrina days.

ya. i used to be a local at Galactic but now i only go to Little Wars.

Is galactic still there? I still have a couple of coozies from there some place. Only went there once while I was waiting on a crew change to a rig that just didnt want to happen.

na galactic closed last year i believe. but the awning at the really old location still has the Galcatic Games sign on it but its actually a gym

No luck so far, but rumours of a new Metairie store called +1 Gaming opening in September.

ive heard some of those rumors. i really want them to open a store in Metairie. plus if that dosent work my friend might open up a shop

im looking to play. currently im out of state, so i cant check anything out now, but i will certainly look into the location you suggested, Van's.

If any of you are still checking out this thread im in the uptown area of New Orleans ( much closer than BR) and im looking to throw together and raise a gaming group. I have peeps we play settlers and other games with and im trying to teach them 40k, but Id like some others who have played already. Ive got a few different armies, and im willing to model and build a table if we need one and we can find a place to play im sure. Let me know guys.

+1 gaming is now slated to open in October. Things were a bit more difficult for the owners. Otherwise you have Rokit-Games that is owned by a friend of mine. He converted half of his paintball shop into a game shop. He has 2 not so great tables right now but he's been working his but off trying to get things in order. The place is located at the end of Severn and Metairie road right next to a music shop across from a bank. It's not a big place but unlike Galactic Games there's stuff on the wall.

I tried googling it do you have a more exact address or a phone number? Also any play group there at the moment? Ive really been itching for a game with the new IG codex
