I have something called morals. I hold the door for my fellow man. I give up things for others on a whim. If anyone asks for anything easily achievable for me. I try to accomadate them. I don't steal or do drugs. I don't drink. I don't smoke.

I show common decency to my peers since I expect to be treated the same way

Though apparently if I run a drop pod army my models that I put as well as some of my meager earnings into, hours into painting my forces commander... it will be swiped by some know-it-all feth who doesn't have the same feelings towards life as me.

He thinks of everything as "how can I help myself out the most"...

No actually, I don't know the guy. I never saw him again. No one in the store knew him either.

I have seen little boy with druggy parent that doesnt care for them , stealing food to feed his little sister.

I have seen adults steal / cheat / scam to gather fast money to try to save their child that suffers illness that needs immediate treatment or die.

Then i have seen kids that steal hobby models and justifying it because the product is expensive.

Well how about try something else? i dunno like a soccer ball or read a book in library?

Well, if no one in the FLGS knows him, and he never came back...I guess that means that the FLGS wouldn't be able to return it to him anyway......I go there a lot though, so if I see him and He's like "Hey, have you seen my model?", I'll more than happy to admit my fault and give it back to him.
